Ben & Gerry's great stuff but unaffordable if you have a few people and your paying the bill ! Buy at supermarket for a 3rd of the price and enjoy the same icecream!

Prices aren't extraordinary, but selection is vast. I wish they still honored their "forever warranty" but since they lost something like 450 million in the last five years they had offered it, it's not really surprising that they would discontinue a program like that. I had a pair of duck boots my Dad have given me that the grommets failed, and they were asking for roughly twenty bucks to replace two of them. I remember paying something like ten to a cobbler for a similar service. They would also have to ship them to the repair department and then ship them back to me. Altogether, not an unreasonable cost, but I miss the old days. Additionally I am not sure the build quality has stayed in the upper echelon when comparing the stitching on the uppers from the duck boots they had in the stores to the classic ones I had brought to be repaired.

If you even cross the Maine border, you have to make the drive to Freeport. there are three (yes T H R E E) Bean stores and every other outlet store all on their best behavior. Worth the trip.

Kristina B., the manager, was very understanding and accommodating. L.L. Bean's new return policy throws away the core reason why Mainers were patrons. Given how upset many people are who purchased goods before the change in policy that need a return, Kristina handled it all very well and this experience will be a reason why I may shop at L.L. Bean again in the future.

Having been an LL Bean customer for over 40 years, I was very disappointed when I had a jacket that I brought in to have repaired or replaced and was turned away. Granted the jacket is about 15 years old, but other than the zipper constantly jamming, it's in great condition. However, since I didn't have a receipt, there is nothing they are willing to do. I bought it in a time that Bean's didn't require you to have a receipt, just bring it back and they would take care of it. Well, Cabellas is a lot closer and I think I'll be doing my shopping with them from now on.

Excellent selection of quality outdoor related products; however, prices were high.

Friendly service and always open. It's nice being able to swing by no matter what time of day you drive through.

Wonderful and very knowledgeable staff. They are extremely helpful and will go out of their way to satisfy your needs. Only caution: this store is massive, and you may get overwhelmed just by walking inside.

Giant campus with everything imaginable LL Bean! It is composed of individual buildings dedicated to different themes, like home, retail, kayaking. It is incredibly fun to walk through and see everything you find in the catalogs come to life. Everything is LL Bean quality and decently priced.
Free parking lot, many photo opportunities, need at least 2 hours to walk through, friendly and energetic service.

It was very hot!!! Then I walked out into wind blowing 30+ gale at 22 degrees and froze. But their Christmas lights and all the live trees and the hut, and the puppies!! OMG I almost brought one home,but I have 2 dogs and 2 kitties, so that's enuf .
Hopefully Christmas eve, my husband and I will make it up there.

Would suggest buying from this company and giving as a gift or getting as a gift. However Online customer service will grill you for the person's name that made the purchase
What if you don't know?? Apparently they refuse to exchange their own goods even though their goods bear their brand name. Ridiculous, a customer shouldn't have to go through that. The whole point ladies and gentlemen is to make the whole process as smooth as silk with no snags so the customer is 100 percent ( so you claim) satisfied. Practice what you preach. If I'm not satisfied with one of your branded products and go through the trouble of sending it back for exchange you LL Bean should honor that. The way I honor you by spending my money on your goods.

I love LLBean, and it's not just because I'm a Mainer. Everyone here is so nice, especially when I go in to buy shoes at 11pm on a Tuesday.

Amazingly large store with a great and varied selection. The multiple departments will keep you entertained for hours. Thankfully there are a number of coffee shops in the facility to maintain hydration levels

Huge place, interesting stuff, some good prices but they need more check-out staff -- incredibly long line

Plenty of deals going on right now. It was a breath of fresh air seeing way less people in the store. The hunting and fish section was closed but that didn't stop us.

Fun, great staff, celebrating, festive, open all night, of course great durable products. I'm in late 50's and bought "duck boots " in my teens. Still wear them 40yrs later!

Holy cow they have almost everything and they are open 24/7. From the bikes, skis, kayaks, fishing gear, hunting gear, camping gear,clothing, furniture, cafe, and much much more. It s just an amazing store and the staff are amazing too. We had the best experience and I never knew much about L.L.Bean. It s worth the trip.

This place has everything a favorite 24 hr destination to kill time.

After years of ordering stuff online I finally had a chance to step foot inside this sprawling store chock full of deals and gear that would make any outdoorsmen drool.

Aside from the store itself there's tons of seasonal stuff going on on the property throughout the year. Another surprise was the LL Bean home store, which we did not get the chance to visit. Next time!

Lots of options for shopping. Some great sales. Not 5 stars because nonsale items are very expensive. However, everything is amazing quality. Service is fantastic and friendly.

Huge flagship 2 story store with cafe downstairs (coffee by design). Very clean and friendly staff. Campus overall is huge and quite cool. Def worth a look.

This place is sick. You can just chill out in any of the 8 billion chairs on the premise. It's open 24/7. Not sure why, but it is. And that's dope.

Horrible.service...WAS going 2 but 2 brand new kayaks , paddles, jackets, & rack 4 jeep...DID NOT BUY salesman was not helpful

Massive store, incredibly helpful and supportive staff, and organized on top of it all.

I m not much of a shopper, but the store was easy to navigate and rather fun to walk though from a visual perspective.

MOST IMPRESSIVE store! It's a premium retailer that has the prices to match. However, I am a firm believer in the mantra that "you get what you pay for" and this place is an adherent to that noble philosophy.

This place is massive. Several different stores clustered in one beautifully landscaped area. They sell everything you could possibly need.

Wow what a difference from my last visit in 1987. It is all built up and commercialized. I was looking for Oakley sunglasses. I asked 4 different employees two of them led me to their limited selection of sunglasses. In two different buildings. So we left and I said to the friend I was with... I bet there will be a shop to get sunglasses in the mall across the street. Yep low and behold an Oakley factory outlet and another shop that sold Oakley sunglasses to boot. You don't suppose that any of the four LL Bean sales people knew you could get what I asked them for across the street?? Sad state of affairs when can't even help someone out when you asked politely.

This LL Bean in Freeport ME is the original flagship store. In google it is labeled as a clothing store . It isn t. You can t quite put a label on this. It is a Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory type of wonderful. Huge campus with stores for biking, camping, hunting, home goods and yes, clothing. A field that holds something fun almost every weekend. If not, they encourage you to enjoy the open, grassy, field with your ice cream or coffee that you can get while on campus, lay in their hammocks, and play corn hole with LL Bean s iconic boots. There are beautiful surprises throughout the landscape. Come see it to fully appreciate. In addition, there is tons of free parking, the place is open 24/7 (no really!), and the hardworking staff is always willing to help.

The lights, reindeer and fresh snow were magical. Thanks LL Bean for the hot chocolate and snow globe photo op. Staff is always friendly and helpful and quality products.

I couldn't find the correct size flannel PJs so I asked, he admitted he told me who could help me with this. I am very impressed with how he handled it. Most people would have led me around the store a few times and then got frustrated when unable to locate it. The woman looked them up and went to find them. Really great people and very professional. Proud of them!!

The World of LL Bean...even men like shopping here. Reminds me of the Outdoor Man store in Last Man Standing show. Has everything you can think of and more
