They have always been able to find every transaction I've ever made in the computer. We went in to return some boots that were indeed defective and bought only a couple months ago, before the return policy changed, and didn't keep the receipt... Because they could always find it... Low and behold, this time they magically couldn't find the receipt in the computer.
It is an experience, you owe it to yourself to see one to the most amazing retail experiences in action. Animals, natural building products, great architecture, fish, etc...oh, and multi-building massiveness.

First time to Maine and first time in a L.L. Bean store. It is very pricey but it's a nice, clean, organized store with friendly staff. Thanks to the unexpected April snow I purchased my first pair of L.L. Bean boots and I love them!

L.L. Bean is a iconic store in Maine. They sell a lot of quality stuff with lifetime garenties on their brand name merchandise.
That said a lot of there stuff is made overseas so you are supporting that when you buy from them.
I have always had good experiences with the actual store. Always plenty of associates around that are happy to help. I went there at a busy time (around the holidays) and had to wait in line for quite a long time but I would think normally that wouldn't be a problem. I had the gift I bought gift wrapped there for free as well.

LL Bean is an outdoorsman's dream store. They have a lot of options and good quality merchandise. Excellent and k knowledgable customer service teams. Just a little pricey but the quality is there.
I was under the impression you could exchange your old boots for new boots if you we're no longer satisfied with them this was not the case.I drove an hour and 45 minutes for them to tell me they needed to take care more important customers first. So not only did I stand in line for 25 minutes but I did not get new boots I will not be returning to llbean.a and I'm going to let my friends and family know

This place was amazing! So much merchandise to look at. I didn't realize how much they sold. Their employees are excellent and helpful. It was a bit confusing how to locate a particular item because this place is so large and has multiple buildings to go with it. It would be easy to get lost there.

Great place to find almost anything outdoors related including the eponymous boots, jackets, snowshoes, hiking gear, guns (including a $75,000 set), outerwear, clothing, camping stuff and more. I visited a few times on my trip and picked up some good gear. The prices are high but the quality is good and they have a really good warranty.
