I was at LL Bean a few weeks ago and its the same great place. I love the Fish ponds, I'm amazed by the big boot. The down fall is I had no receipt for the Items brought back. If you have no receipt you get no Returns. There is nolonger a life time Gerantee. Bring your Receipts.
Their sale was fantastic ,need more help at registers staff, friendly!

Had a great experience today at the Freeport store. I needed a winter jacket earlier this winter but wasn't sure of the size. I ordered two different sizes online. Finally made it to the store to return the size I did not need three months later. No hassle and a quick return! While there I decided to browse through the store and find a camoflauge long sleeve shirt for the upcoming turkey season. I was disappointed in the selection they has No long sleeve camo t-shirts available and overall a very limited selection of camo hunting gear. Unfortunately, this has been the case the last couple times I have visited the Freeport store. Hopefully, this will improve.

Brand loyalty vs price is now gone. One thing that always steered me towards serious LLBean purchases was the lifetime guarantee. I get it in this modern age of lack of morals and let's take advantage, but my tent, which has a material defect, purchased in the 1990's when the expectation was lifetime, and was a serious purchase at the time, is not being covered... so why rant, I'm grown up, gone are the days of replacing a shirt that failed etc, but this was a more serious purchase and item expected to last. ERGO: Considering the price vs, Costco or Amazon or other retailers to buy a tent from, there is no motivation to pay that 10-20-30% premium. Sorry Bean family you have lost my brand loyalty.

Worse shopping experience of my life. I bought a shotgun, went to use it and it failed to eject the spent shell. Brought it back several times, took over a year for them to provide me a shotgun that worked. I'm that time, LL Bean took it to a trade show, and "lost it" for a while. I have not and will not ever buy anything from them again. This store has lost its roots as a hunting and fishing supplier.

My favorite store for outdoor living. The staff is excellent and the store is open 24 hours a day. Racks of clearance clothing. Worth the ride if you make it to Maine.
Ive been going to LL Bean since I was knee high to a grasshopper and still go all the time with my kids as an adult. They have always had quality products and they stand behind them 100% we buy most of our hunting,hiking gear and children's clothing and footwear there with confidence. The LL Bean flagship store should be destination #1 if your traveling through Maine or if your looking for quality children's clothing and footwear the have a great selection there. We really enjoy heading to beans and shopping with our family.

What can I say I was born in Maine and l.l. Bean has been around since I can remember. As A young boy getting the bean catalog was great as I lived hours up north from the original beans store. The current L.L. Bean has a much larger main building with multiple floors and additions over the years. There are numerous buildings now on the property each with its own specialty. If you go towards the parking garage across the street, there is a bean outlet store with some discounted items. The Main store now has many more parking lots on the grounds even some with electric car plug in stations that also accommodate the Tesla electric car. The electric car plug-in stations are also free of charge. I usually get a parking space at the free parking garage across the street. I usually spend my time there in the main building that has hunting and fishing and clothing items along with camping. I have bought and traded some firearms here and was pleased with my transactions. There is a nice trout pond in the main building that the kids like to visit. All Mainers know that beans is Always open. The thing I like is that there is excellent quality clothing and footwear that they stand behind, however you will get years of service from there items. There are numerous walk-on tours of outdoor activities you can sign up for and try actual ll bean equipment. I have done archery and skeet shooting that were loads of fun and equipment is all provided. Plan on spending some hours if you visit all the bean buildings. In the winter near Christmas, they have Santa in a barn where live reindeer are kept. There is a winter forest made with Maine Christmas trees and lights right near Santa s barn along with a warming yurt to warm up in. The hot chocolate stand is nice on the cold nights.
Nice store. I went to the original store way back in early 70s and it was like a frontier town type wooden building with squeaky wooden board floor. It was really neat. I wish they would have had enough real-estate to leave the old store and build the new one. None the less the new store is really nice and much larger.
Love meeting my friend at 1912. We enjoy a great lunch and relaxing visit every time we go.

The store was very clean and nicely organized. The employees were very helpful and nice; the man in the shoe section helped me measure my shoe size and find shoes that fit correctly. The little cafe was cool, I didn't try any of the food but it seemed very nice in there (smelled really yummy!) and the cashier was very polite. I also liked the little aquarium with river fish in it. And of course, all the clothes I tried on were very high quality. I wouldn't expect any less from L.L. Bean!
The best outer wear on the planet. If beans doesn't have it, you really don't need it. The quality of their products is bar non. Along with household items to bike and skid. Hunting trapping, classes and more. Come visit Santa and the reindeer as christmas at beans is here.

Excellent quality at "reasonable" prices. No, nothing is cheap in the store. But if you want good quality, USA made products, you're in the right place. The clerks there were generally also very helpful.
The staff here are all so nice and willing to help! I love the quality of all of their products. You might pay a little more upfront but when you factor in how often you would have to replace something, it's a great deal!

Very expensive but very high quality clothing, fishing, hunting and camping supplies. You pay premium at LL bean, but you definitely get what you pay for.
Lovely place. It's huge and spread out a bit and tills can have long lines but staff are very helpful. Great selection of goods and a lovely cafe and coffee shop. Plenty of toilets ands they're nice. Fun classes and concerts offered. Plenty of parking butt can still be difficult top food a spot during the summer holidays.
I love LL Bean, a staple of New England. The Freeport store is loaded with history and many fun things for visitors.

I have been an L.L. Bean customer for many years. They sell quality goods that hold up well in the outdoors. It was a real thrill to get to see there flagship store. Tons of beautiful, warm clothing on display. They have camping, fishing, and hunting supplies as well. They do sell souvenirs for those visiting Maine. They have a trout pond, moose taxidermy displays, tents and a yurt on display outdoors. If your in Freeport, don't miss the experience!

Giant store with very helpful staff. We were able to find a bunch of great stuff on the sale racks and browse camping gear outside of a box.
