Excellent location with a well maintainted Luxury resort in the side a back waters , yummy food with a awsome location touch of the spices

Such a soulful place. The resort ensures that you unwind and take it slow. Fantastic staff to complement the resort. They go out of their way to make sure you have the everything that you need to have a good time. Albert, Arun, Kavi, Prashanth, Amit, Anjuda, Susmita and Teji- you were a pleasure to meet and thank you for your unconditional hospitality!

Nice resort that is the best of two ages - ancient kerala architectural marvel and latest luxury amenities.

Excellent location and property. Well maintained with courteous staff especially Kavi and Prashant. The concept of meandering pool villas is amazing!!

Lake Kumarakom resort is a dream which turned into a bit of a nightmare for us during our honeymoon starting with a body massage that went terribly wrong for me. My back was left stiff and I was unable to move, crippling me for over two days. Not what you want on your honeymoon! Along the same time as my severe back pain saga the resort was also hosting an event. If you are planning a relaxing getaway to the resort I highly advise you check with the staff to see if there are any events on at the same time as it completely ruins the ambience of the place. From the late night music to the early morning yelling on the microphone, it left us feeling extremely irritated. The staff also get really distracted in serving the large groups and provide poor service to the rest. Overall we are quite disappointed but we still have a couple of days left and hoping the situation improves for us.

All are wooden and old school that I don't like (my opinion). Even if their electric switch ac panel etc are also old model (design)

Obstacle (important)

As I had booked a private pool Villa (room 121) Shower and swimming pool are at open sky and toilet is beside them (open) which I don't like also. I think it's privacy problem for multiple guest ( when one go to toilet other can't use pool.

I had asked to repair the flash of toilet they came and spend 30 min but after that it was not repaired.

Mosquito outside room --- its imposible to sit after evening.

Very good resort to spend your vacations. Good facilities and good staff.

Wonderful place for all in kumarakom there is lake veiw and awesome place for swimming. all staff are friendly and helpful for every need .it is heritage type resort.it is marvelous resort.i liked it

Great place to relax. Very attentive staff, wonderful seafood restaurant. We had villa with private plunge pool and jacuzzi which was great. Would highly recommend. Only issue personally is that as a resort it attracts families, and there were a lot of young children, and children make noise, so sometimes that was an issue, but would still give it 5 stars.

Pure back water experience in GOD OWN COUNTRY this resort is 2 hours away from airport approx 75 kms which will be little expensive affair but once reached here it's paradise.. best lake view rooms and house boat experience.. one can definitely stay in Villa as compared to house boat being very compact and uncomfortable...one should definitely do a fery ride to experience back water view.. good food and enriching environment.

Unbelievably great place! A fantastic relaxing get away. Recommend the moonlight dinner on the boat. Enjoy sunset on either the complimentary sunset boat ride or with a bottle of wine by the pool. Enjoy!

The overall experience in this resort far exceeded our expectations. The staff are courteous, knowledgeable and too helpful. The ambience is picturesque. Amenities and facilities are well maintained. All Villas are wonderful, but you may prefer a Meandering Pool Villa if a Jacuzzi isn't a requirement for you. The boathouse experience was exhilarating.

Nature friendly... Thats the main thing.
And if you love a nice leisure it is the best place.

Absolute favourite I return here every year for three weeks and just love it; we take a heritage cottage with pool and enjoy excellent welcome, staff, ayurveda, pools, great Lake, wonderful gardens and birdlife....bliss

The resort is amazing.
You can stay at resort for 3 days and will not feel boring.

A first class lake side resort with a keen eye for detail
The staff are very friendly and helpful. Nothing seemed to much trouble and any requests were dealt with 1st time.
There are a variety of rooms
The Heritage Pool villas are a good size and comfortable. The toilet and washroom are actually outside as is the shower. This is obviously completely private as is the plunge pool.
The whole resort was spotless and continually being cleaned.
There are 2 restaurants both offering very good food and service.
The overnight stay on 1 of the resorts 4 rice boats is a must. The on board staff are very helpful, the boats spotless and the food, prepared on board by your own chef is superb.
The only down side is there is no where to walk to outside of the resort.
We will return

Lovely place to chillax. For sure, take the morning boat tour. Lots of birds and greenery. Food is great at sea food restau.
Evening sunset cruise was relaxing. People are friendly.

We had an amazing vacation here! All you need is in the resort itself and the staff was very friendly and willing to help us out in any way they could. The private pools in our rooms were really fun and clean. On request, they even fumigated our rooms to make sure we were mosquito-free.

I loved the experience . Hotel staff was very friendly and courteous. Food options for a vegetarian are plenty! Despite heavy rains the resort is worth a stay . Very big property as I hardly could explore .must try are the boat cruises with traditional dance program - Kathakalli . I would esp like to thank the hotel mgmt and staff responsible for corporate workshops/ conference rooms arrangement who made the transition for us to another hotel very smoothly and the other hotel staff was extremely supportive! Special mention to Sriram who is a hotel trainee whose such a sweet person :)

Nice ambience, worth money. Wide variety in vegetarian too. Pool villa are really so good especially for kids who know swimming. Just wonderful.

Wonderful water front facing Resort. The best hotel in the region.

I had stayed for 3 nights with family and its beautiful experience we had, delicious food , so much of nature, greenery/gardens, gorgeous views of lake from swimming pool, well equipped gym and excellent massage. So many activities for kids within resort , don t miss musical delight while watching sunset on boat ride
