Lovely place!!! Excellent food, rooms and staff. Staff are extremely accommodating and will go out of their way to ensure you have an amazing stay. Recommend staying atleast two nights with one night in the rooms/villas of your choice and the second night on the houseboat. You get pampered by a team of 3 ( personal chef, butler and driver) when you stay on the boat. They also take you for a relaxing and beautiful cruise around Kumarakom and Alleppey. Recommend timing your stay so that you can see the Snake Boat races authentic to this region. Breakfast is included in your plan and covers an extensive array of food (keralite and continental) which is served at the multi cuisine restaurant. The bar/seafood restaurant (Vembanad) overlooks the Vembanad lake where in you can see turtles, variety of fish and migratory birds as you eat. The staff here are extremely friendly. The hotel also have an onsite caricature artist, magician and henna artist during the day. Every night, there is a cultural performance (Kathakali - dance native to Kerala, Mohiniattam and Keralite Martial Arts). Also provide snacks/fresh coconut water at the tea stall. Staff are also equipped with adapters that work for different plugs for electrical equipment. There is an onsite Ayurveda center which is good as well, however we felt pressured by the lady doctor(?) to pay cash instead of credit card. Dr. Nitin and his teammates took care of our services and had no complaints there. I highly recommend that everyone stays at this resort. You will not be disappointed with the private outdoor bathrooms, the villas that open up to the meandering swimming pool, the infinity pool. There is a bird sanctuary nearby however ensure you go there when in season. We went during winter so didn't get a chance to see a lot of the birds however there were few stragglers( Kingfisher, comorins) spectacular views and ambience! Will go back again to this luxury resort.

LUXURIOUS VILLA,
HAS SWIMMING POOL ON BACK, BEAUTIFUL VILLAGE HOUSE DESIGN, BUT CENTRALLY AIR CONDITIONED,
VEGETARIAN FOOD PREPARATION WERE NOT GOOD
FOR A 5 STAR CATEGORY HOTEL - RESORT.
MIXED VEGETABLES AND FRUITS SALAD - MIXED VEGETABLES AND FRUITS RAITHA WERE NOT AVAILABLE.
SERVICE COURTESY WAS FINE.

Good place to visit. Great environment. One can get a good view of the lake. Has all the modern anmities and luxury. The massage here is done with medicated leaves. The treatment helps in reducing tension and stress in the body. One can enjoy the cultural programme performed along with the dinner. One can get the food based on the health menu decided by the doctor. The cultural activities fill the environment with great ambience.
Banana facial done here is excellent as it helps to reduce the dead skin cells and wrinkles from the face. The oil bath massage done here helps to rejuvenate and energize oneself and increasing blood circulation.
Travelling in the backwaters gives an awesome experience and watching the sunset is unique experience.
Seeing the cultural performance and the Kathakali performed was unique.

Went for a one day office team outing and it was amazing! Scenic place. Food is great. Helpful staffs. The boat ride was also amazing. Overall a perfect place to chill and have fun.

Absolute favourite! I ve come to this resort a couple of times and it s always been a bliss! The hospitality and the food is unparalleled and we always feel rejuvenated after! Will definitely come back

Looking for a perfect summer getaway ? Kumarakom Lake Resort is one of the best stays in Kottayam, Kerala for your ultimate staycation.

I like the weather but not like the room cuz full of inscects and the bathroom on air. The swimming pool too small.

Amazing location and naturally beautiful. Hotel is nice as well. Staff are amazingly courteous.

Make sure to checkout their seafood restaurant- especially their squid!!! The atmosphere of the resort is amazing, rooms are really well maintained. I really enjoyed the evening leisure boat and the music- it was an out of word experience.

I can t really think of anything negative about the place. One thing I d focus on improving is the breakfast. I like that they had variety of food but the taste was just average. Apart from that I had a really good time here and I d love to come back when I am in Kerala next

This is the best place if you want to experience the true essence of Kerala. I am a travel blogger/vlogger and take it from me this place has to be on your list at least once in your life.

I stayed at the meandering Pool villa and it is definitely the best place to stay on the property. If it fits your budget also check out the presidential suits.

The sunset cruise is not be missed at any cost. Cruising around the lake on big boat during sunset with live music on board is the most relaxing experience.

The food is super delicious and i kept wanting for more during all meals. It is also a good place for people for large groups and family as there are tons of activities to keep everyone occupied.

Located at backwater. All Vilas are spacious with private pool. Food is good. We had Sadhya lunch which was good.
Staff is courtious and respond to your request quickly. Evening snacks were not that good. You should taste filter coffee over there.
If you're traveling with kids then need to be extra cautious as water ways are very close and also pool is attached to all villas.
There is no option for sight seeing nearby. There is one bird sanctuary but you should visit after July.

Overall good experience and awesome place...but over priced

A must visit destination in the bucket list..Only improvement it requires is the ferry n the safety measures which takes the guests to a ride in the lake in the evening along with a decent place for the accompanying drivers to sleep, relax n recharge, such a sad thing on the management part which gives the only dark spot on otherwise heaven.
