The best luxury hotel I have visited in India! Beautiful setting and landscaping which are immaculately maintained. So many free amenities offered by the hotel including morning yoga and evening sunset music cruise. Other 5 Star hotels can learn from this place. Definitely must be visited at least once in a lifetime.

My stay At Kumarakom Lake Resort was at the tail end of my first trip to India. And what a way to end my trip! The property itself was breathtakingly beautiful and peaceful. The vistas endless, the service impeccable, and the food was the More
Beyond 5 star experience.. Rooms, infinity pool, bathroom, the mandarin pool, souvenir shop, the coconut water, gym, evening snacks and sunset cruise, breakfast and specially the seafood restaurant are all that make this place perfect. Loved my stay and would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to have a relaxed and peaceful laid back time in kerala.
One of the finest hotels and very expensive though. I have had clients complaining the bkow of aircondition a bit too noisy. Heritage rooma are better than the meandering pool villas. Service excellent and food is awesome
Jamieyeeyel Halkantgaa where everything fishing and a trip on the bot Mahana and a tea party in the afternoon, but unfortunately the buffet breakfast a little Arabic food
The finest luxury hospitality experience in Kumarakam! A serene resort with the best of global amenities & activities that are blended with authentic & characteristic Kerala flavours. The meandering pool connecting all the cottages, open air bars & multi cuisine restaurants, private pools, Ayurvedic massage centre, house boats, infinity pool, jacuzzi, speed boats, tuck shop, canals & a host of sports & adventure activities makes it stand apart in a class of its own... Highly recommended.
A large and luxurious resort with two restaurants and overlooking the lake and offers water services and games. The rooms have more than two rooms, one single room and the swimming pool. There are rooms with a private swimming pool, there are insects and a law.
Beautiful hotel. Staff are very helpful. Room was amazing, especially as we got up graded for having to wait so long for it. Food is good, however I wasn't happy with my vegetable curry as it didn't have much veg in it and the ochre was very stringy. The waiter did offer me free dessert as an apology, which made up for it.
Kumarakom lake resort is one of the most wondering resort in kerala.. It is located in between pallichira and chakrampady... Choolapady ,a small bustop after pallichira when we are going into cherthala route.. Lake resort is located exact in choolapady.echo friendly environment created by them.resort contains restaurants, rooms for couples, families, singles.Highly secure area for their guests, cycling is also here, handicrafted items such as houseboats etc ..is available inside the resort.. Lovely place..one of world's largest swimming pool is here..
Very friendly and helpful staff. Special thanks to Kavi, who had helped us in knowing more of kerala and gave tips for further travelling, and clicked amazing pictures of us. the resort is one if the best we've been to and a true architectural marvel. the buildings here are restored from 150 year old kerala houses. the activities on site such as pottery, fishing and weaving show the true essence of kerala. well maintained.
Lovely place! Greeted with fresh coconut water and cold towels to "cool us off". The rooms are just WOW. They are designed to be just like an old Keralan house, and it is. The food is very delicious and if you want Kerala's traditional food or if you want American food, they have both choices. The activities are amazing and the pool is really cool. Now I don't usually write a novel for the reviews, so this says that this isn't like your everyday resort.
Very nice resort Well maintained and excellent service But the best part is the beauty of this resort which you will not found anywhere But just the food quality is a little problematic especially for North Indians Otherwise a must stay
The resort is very pleasant and located very close to kottayam Railway station. The food and rooms are exceptionally good and beyond what we expected. Every corners and hard to reach places in the room , restaurant & whole resort was kept very neat and well maintained. The man made water bodies inside the resort is clean as there is facility to keep the water moving , so no stagnant water no foul smell...There is so much to do and so much to keep u occupied inside the resort that rarely we would be bored. Need to mention the quality of food is on par with star hotels. Evening boat cruise is also v good... Quick responding staff and very courteous. Transport facilities are provided by resort people and the vehicles in their fleet are well maintained.. third party transports too are available near by. Total Value for money !!!! No qualms no complaints. An amazing experience.
The staff behaviour and attitude towards the gust was prehistoric and barbaric the security behaviour was messy and for every problem there was an argument and we can understand than they making up rules spontaneously according to there momentary insight . the management staff came solve the issue they are making it worse and the total mood for the holiday was spoiled I came there to attend a wedding function on the previous day and the staff who were staying at the resort was misbehaving with lady s there??? Under influence of alcohol...... parking space was tiny and mud filled and road was too narrow to access the place management should look regarding the concern on and proper guidance to the staff especially security
Awesome location near backwaters and well maintained traditional accommodations. Overall peacefull atmosphere. Best Wishes to Team kumarakom lake resort.
Beautiful property. Ideal for those looking to get away from the city for a calm and serene environment. Right on the banks of the lake, it is an absolute splendor to be at this location. It is spectacularly beautiful at all times of the day, be it sunrise or sunset. The property has been very well done, maintaining a natural ambiance of small streams, wooden bridges, lush green trees & lawns. The rooms are cottages made of wood, which maintain a very rustic, yet beautiful ambiance. The best part about the rooms is that, the backside of the rooms open into a common pool, or a private Jacuzzi, which is something very unique at this resort. The service at the hotel is very good, except for the fact that the wifi is not free. This is a downer since complimentary wifi is nowadays a norm everywhere. The rooms that have a private jacuzzi, also have an open loo & shower. Although it is covered by a high wall, some folks might not be comfortable with it. So it is better to check with the hotel on the room-type when booking.
Excellent. True five star. Staff is super courteous. Food choices for both veg and non veg is par excellent. Location of hotel is excellent. A refreshing resort to make you feel on top of the world. The f and b manager johny and ma ashwini is excellent and others too... Recommended value for money.
The resort was stunning, the massages were incredible, and the food selection was delicious. The beauty of the location was enhanced by the wonderful staff. If you have the opportunity to visit, take advantage of the sunset cruise.
Lovely place to stay at! Superb facilities. Great staff. Includes In-house activities like palmistry, pottery, caricature , face painting etc.. this is one amazing place to be. Especially with kids!
This is one of the best part of Alleppy, rather Kerala. We went in July, in complete rainy season but got a sunny day doing boat ride in Backwaters. There are two options, you can either stay in a house boat and enjoy the serene beauty or if you are not comfortable staying in the less luxurious place, you can stay in any Veembanad or Kumarkom lake resort and do a Sikara ride in the backwater. We followed the second option, and really liked the water ride. It will take more than 3 hours to roam around most of the water alleys Kumarkom Bird Sanctuary. Normally the Sikara charge will be around 900 per hour and it has good sitting capacity or around 10 people. Moreover if you get a friendly boatman, it will be an outstanding experience.
