Had a wonderful little staycation here. The staff are efficient and courteous. The grounds are well kept and exude island living. The rooms are whole apartments; no need to pack any kitchen utensils!

Great food at the Holoholo grill, definitely try the caprese flatbread. Amazing. The concierge we worked with, Bruce, was super knowledgeable and super helpful setting up excursions for us and the view from our one bedroom ocean view room was incredible. I do have to thank Marriott Platinum premier status for that though since it was a huge upgrade from the room we originally booked. Excited to try the spa later in the week.

Could be five stars but... if you have kids please read below. Today is our 5th day at Koloa Landing. Resort and property is gorgeous, service has been top notch!
I have two children, ages 6 and 1/2 and 12. My BIGGEST and ONLY complaint is the height requirement on the big slide in the main pool. It s us 48 inches, which in my opinion is VERY high. Last year she could ride almost every single ride at Disney World!! My 6 year old is too short and is devastated that she cannot partake in the fun with her older sister. The other small slide is very babyish. We booked this hotel specifically because of the awesome pool and water slides in order to keep our kids busy and entertained. They even show in their promotional videos over and over again a Dad going down the big slide with a small child, which is also NOT allowed. I think it s false advertising. For the amount of money we paid, they fall very short here.
So if you have a smaller child ages 5,6,7 that is not yet 48 inches with older siblings be prepared for lots of whining and disappointment. If anything, they should allow an adult to accompany their child on the slide like they advertise!

This place is amazing! This is our second time staying at this hotel and so far it hasn t disappoint. The property is beautiful with well manicured lawns and beautiful flowers. We had an ocean view room which was amazing. Our room also had all the amenities we needed - balcony, washer/dryer, microwave, even laundry detergent. The pool was great and servers are readily available pool side to keep the drinks flowing. We loved the water slide and the lagoon. The property is just steps away from several miles of beach where seeing turtles and monk seals is almost common place. It s also walking distance to shopping and other amenities in either direction. We will definitely consider staying at this property when we are back in Kauai.

We stayed at this property for nine nights and I can honestly say I don t want to leave. Marriott thought of everything when they designed this hotel. In their one bedroom villa, the kitchen is fully stocked with quality pots, pans, dishes, silverware, even salt and pepper! My favorite thing by far is the washer/dryer. Knowing we had one in room helped us reduce items we needed to pack, enabling us to travel a bit lighter!

The staff is super friendly, a special call out and thank you to Michelle, our housekeeper. The grounds are absolutely breathtaking and the hotel is conveniently located to a lot of good restaurants and bars.

Will definitely stay here again!

My husband, myself and another couple booked a double suite here, ocean view, for 6 nights.
We LOVED the resort and found it to be INCREDIBLE!! One of the best stays we have had. Our suite was like a full fledged apartment and I think we had one of the newly built buildings.

The bedrooms: Both king beds, both had flat screen TVS, both had ocean and sunset view balconies. The beds were super duper comfy and CLEAN.

The bathroom: Double sinks in both bathrooms, separate standing shower from bath tub (which I LOVED and needed) in both bathrooms. Towels replaced if they were on the floor or missing.

The living room: Huge flat screen TV with streaming app capabilities. Huge ocean view window and ample space for seating that was super comfortable! Had a great LUXURY apartment feel.

The kitchen: Awesome! They had cooking and dishware! We cooked our own breakfast daily and sometimes we would leave the dishes and they would be cleaned in the dishwasher. I would recommend washing the dishes you take out of cupboards, because you know, hygiene. There is a dining table for four with comfortable seating and eating.

Location: Although not beach front, you can walk a short paved path to get to the nearest beach which is Poipu, one of the best on the island. There are multiple shopping centers within 5 minutes of the resort. Starbucks, Long's can be found nearby. Good food around as well!

I mean, what more do you want?! I highly highly recommend this resort. I just cannot get over it and we could not have stayed at a better place that somewhat fit our budget.

Loved it! Being kamaaina and having a chance to stay with friends to appreciate the south side was just awesome. I'm hoping property owners will continue to now & then drop the nightly charge and make it a special for locals to enjoy. Thank You!

Very high end Marriott with an amazing room and large balcony. The full size kitchen was the nicest I have ever seen at a resort. The pool area had a three tiered pool including an infinity pool and large waterfall feature. There was waitress service at the pool. The only drawback was there was only one restaurant on site but the breakfast food was excellent. The resort is across the street from the ocean but there is no beach. About 2 blocks away (north) was the Sheraton which had a nice beach if you planned on staying local.

Awesome resort!! Rooms are big and have a small kitchen and washer/dryer. Staff was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Also, the best location (south side/Poipu Beach area) to stay on the island as your only an hour away from any part of the island. This hotel also is very close to The Shops at kukui ula that has great shopping and restaurants and within 5 minutes drive to a couple great beaches. Very clean. Has big nice pools and hot tubs.

Beautiful resort with great onsite restaurant. The pools are clean. The ocean is close. The rooms are cozy. On day 1 we saw several sea turtles just offshore. I needed several documents printed for work on short notice and within minutes their concierge had everything printed and in my hands with genuine smiles on their faces. I met Jeff Flamm, one of the founders of the resort, in the Friday morning Crossfit class. He sat with me for 30 minutes after the class and sent me lists of the best attractions and restaurants across the island. He was incredibly kind, accommodating, and helpful. I highly recommend this beautiful, affordable, friendly resort!

Location is pretty, but not beachfront. Cell service is nonexistent for the most part and the wifi tends to be overloaded. Other than that the amenities are all top notch. Even the pull out sofa beds are reasonably comfortable.

I love this resort! The units here are beautifully decorated. May be the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in, and oh that soaking tub! Gorgeous landscapeing, and the HoloHolo Grill really completes the experience here. No need to leave, and I didn't want to either!

An incredibly experience! My wife and I stayed here for our 1st anniversary and we're worried we may have peaked. I'm not sure how to top this. Ocean views at every turn, a gigantic pool with waterfalls and a grotto, shuttle service to nearby shops and restaurants (which are still walkable), multiple beach options, an on-site dining experience with some of the best poke we've ever had, and a villa larger than our downtown apartment. Can't wait to come back here and do it all again!

We stayed here for a night in August, we checked in for 5 nights but checked out the next morning when we realized this Resort is more or less under full construction, bull dozers, workmen, mounds of clay, areas closed off, no direct access to the beach, no restaurant, no bar service at the pool, make shift bar in the lobby......if this is what you want when you stay at a resort then this is the place for you. We took a refund, left and stayed at a proper resort hotel (I won't name it) within .5 of a mile away, it had all the proper amenities. This was one of the best decisions we made on our trip. Looks to me like this construction will run well into 2017 so be aware. On the plus side the rooms are nice so it will be a nice resort at some point, just nowhere close to that stage right now.

Your basic hotel. Great views, lousy food. Not a resort at all. Just 11 buildings in one complex Not much within walking distance. Why be by the sea if you're just going for a fancy pool. Ocean view was nice. But where in Kauai is it not? Would not recommend unless your idea of Hawaii consists of sitting around a pool drinking mai tais.

amazing!
Highly recommend this place. We were in unit 6201, beautiful and luxurious. No construction noise. Fantastic pools. Clean interiors, WOLF range and appliances, W/D in unit, large wrap around balcony, with floor to ceiling windows, in an amazing location. Close to all the action, yet so quite. They now have an acceptable breakfast buffet.
Great food at nearby mall. DO NOT forget to check out Makai Sushi. His Poke is to die for.

Excellent hotel/resort. I would compare it to some nice Hyatt Regency resorts. Room was great...had the smallest room which was like a typical larger hotel room except it had a very large shower, fridge, microwave, large washer and dryer with three free packs of detergent! This was really needed after camping the night before plus a couple hotel nights before that. I REALLY appreciated the large washer/dryer - this convenience (along with the beautiful resort) would make me choose this over just about any hotel. I would even choose this over the Grand Hyatt in Poipu nearby that everyone raves about. The surrounding shoreline cliff hike just east of that Hyatt is amazing but free if you park between that resort and the golf course east of it. I have not stayed there but I walked the grounds and the inside common areas and other than being right on the beach (very important to many people) I think Koala landing is a better hotel and better bang for your buck for sure. The decor of this hotel is nicely done. Pretty traditional Hawaiian theme but modern in a lot of ways. There was a golf putting green area, vollyball, soccer, fire pits with free smores at night. The pool area was great. Actually there were 3-4 pools. The main pool is beautiful (waterfalls, infinity pool with cascading water over near vertical stair step slate type rock wall (cool looking feature). There were two water slides but they closed early around 5:30pm! I hate when they do that, didn't get to use them. My 17 year old son said this was his favorite resort ever (he has stayed at the Gaylord in Orlando along with several other nice resorts). I would have to say it is on par with the best I have ever stayed at. GREAT Resort. Wish I had stayed two nights there.

My husband and I with our two kids spent the weeke...

My husband and I with our two kids spent the weekend at this resort for our anniversary. I have been here once before when my brother visited and enjoyed it very much. But for some reason this time there were some issues. In the first few minutes in our room my two year old son got his toe sliced by a nail sticking out of the carpet by the sliding door. We called to let them know about the issue, they sent engineers up to the room. They checked it out and we were told there were too many nails poking up to fix, so we had to move rooms (understandable). They moved our room to the next building over. We show up and the door card sensor is dead so we can t access the room. Again engineers are coming to fix this issue. Then once they fixed that the cleaners had to go do a few things. So I sat in my car with two screaming kids, one who was still super upset with a hurt toe. About 45 min later we get the room... it has an upgraded view for sure. Then the next morning we were woken up by super loud noises at 6 am -9 ish am by a pump or air compressor from a maintenance room attached to building. My husband called and maintenance people went and checked it out and turned whatever it was off. I dunno, we never get to go to nice hotels so this was a big treat for our family and feel really let down by what we experience. The pool was jam packed which made it uncomfortable trying to get space from people bc of social distancing. It was a series of unfortunate events that really made our experience not great. The biggest thing for me is It was expensive for us to stay there and unfortunately feel like the money was not well spent. They gave us a $50 credit to their restaurant as an apology for my sons injury and the loud noise etc etc. Just bummed. Things happen I get it but it really was not a great experience.

My husband and I spent 4 amazing and peaceful night here. Our room was the island view studio and it was perfect for two guests. It came with a mini kitchen and a full washer and dryer. Situated on the ground floor next to the main pool. We loved opening the sliding doors to listen to the music and palm tress rustling outside. We loved the complimentary parking as well. The room as was impeccably clean as well. The main pool is fantastic. My husband loved the water slides. We wanted a relaxing vacation in Kauai and this resort gave to us. I highly recommend this resort for couples and families alike!

I always enjoy staying here. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The rooms are big, clean, and well-designed. Love having a kitchen and being able to do laundry in the room. The pool is great and has fun water slides and a neat infinity pool. Holo Holo grill and the pool bar are nice and convenient. Great beaches for snorkeling within a short walking distance.

Just finished a week-long stay here with my wife and two other couples. We rented a 3-bedroom villa together. On the plus side, the rooms seemed relatively spacious -- especially the master suite in our 3br unit -- the kitchen was relatively well-equipped, and there was a ton of space to sit and relax on the lanai. The pools at the resort were also nice, and you didn't have to pay extra for parking. On the other hand, the location is not quite as great as other resorts, since you do have to walk to the beach and even the ocean-view rooms are overlooking a bunch of telephone poles and random houses, as well as the ocean. The service (front desk, housekeeping, etc.) seems fairly slow and limited, since this is really a timeshare/condo place more than a hotel. Finally, the "free wifi" that they advertise is only for two devices, after which you have to pay an extra fee per day; it would have been handy to know that, since we had a group of 6 adults all wanting to stay connected. I won't hesitate to go back if we ever need a multi-bedroom unit on Kauai in the future, as these were harder to find at other resorts, but I don't think this is absolutely a must-visit either.

Great resort with many rooms/villas options, several pools with waterslides and waterfalls, three spas, and so much more! Grill/bar on site. Very kid-friendly. LOVE THIS RESORT! Autograph Collection by Marriott. True Aloha experience. Staff and manager gives high quality service. I've hand witnessed how awesome the staff is & how great they handle demanding guests. A lot of folks think they are super special or privileged because of their marriott status and can be quite demanding. Take a chill pill. Everyone there is an elite member lol. And please, these folks work so hard, hawaii is expensive, please don't forget to tip! Unlike surrounding hotels, you are Gifted with Lei upon check in. Rooms are super nice, includes full kitchen in suites, small kitchenette in studios. W/D, and laundry detergent supplied. The pics attached show the 3rd bedroom & 3rd bathroom that wasn't used at the suite. All couches are pull out sofa. Deck seating and eating area is sooo relaxing. Will stay here again!

We are absolutely blown away by the personal service, attention to detail, and amenities available to us here! It's our first night but we haven't even explored the full extent of the pools. Good was incredible at the on-site restaurant. We're also thrilled to discover the many weekly goings on, like s'mores nights, art, and hula instruction. Can't wait for an amazing week at this resort. Great choice!

This place is really awesome! I have a hard time finding something to criticize.
We have stayed in 2 separate apartments and both were great! Each were One bedroom units with fully equipped kitchens, washer and dryer, large shower and bathtub - tub has its own room! The TVs are large and have Netflix ( you have to have your own account though) and other streaming apps. The WiFi is strong around the whole complex and good enough for HD streaming. Climate control in the rooms is working well and each room has a fan. There is basic daily cleaning service ( don t have to do dishes during vacation!). When coming from the airport I would stop by Costco or Safeway to get all supplies for the stay.
Even though the hotel is fully occupied I haven t heard any of the neighbors!
The pools are exceptional! Great waterfalls, slides, infinity pool and hot tubs everywhere. I just wish with so many pools one would be a real lap/lane pool for real workout swimming. Maybe that will come?
Right now (April 2018) 11 four story buildings have been build and 8 more are to come. Currently less than half of the buildings belong to the Marriott hotel, the others are condos. That explains why the pools are not crowded at all, as only some of the condos are rented out. When booking it might be worth checking if a cheaper option for from a condo owner are available - from what I can tell, all units are very similar. Also, all units come with the 32 dollar daily resort fee, which was very explicitly mentioned when we booked but keep watching out for it!
The grill here is good and prices are very reasonable! Outside the complex are plenty of restaurants within walking distance.
Just FYI, there is no direct beach access and the hotel is not the first unit to the ocean.
All staff are very friendly and helpful.

I gave 4/5 stars because the matress was not for me and I wish they had get togethers for the teenagers. Maybe they'd be uncomfortable in swimsuits (I don't know) but a pizza party or games so they get a break from siblings and or parents AND MAKE NEW FRIENDS. Beautiful place. Loved the music at the pool, breezes through the trees, colorful birds and peace if you choose to slow down and soak it in. Staff was very polite and helpful. Loved having a washer and dryer. So beautiful.

Did a staycation here and it was incredible. The rooms were nice and spacious. We had the bottom floor, which was perfect due to the fact that all we had to do was walk out through the lanai to get to the swimming pool. (Which the pool was so awesome!) They have really good rates, especially for Kamaaina's. Which gives us a chance to experience the stay there and spread the word to other people on how beautiful this property is and what a wonderful staff they have working there. I will definitely rent here again. "Lucky We Live Kaua'i" Much Mahalo & Aloha Koloa Landing Resort at Poipu!!!

My wife and I stayed here for a week in December 2018. There aren't enough positive things to say about the resort. Incredibly friendly staff, immaculate rooms, breathtaking views - there's really not much more you can ask for. They have differing daily amenities such as exercise and yoga classes. Would highly recommend to anyone from a couple looking for a getaway or a family looking for a great resort in Kauai.

The staff is professional & views classic HAWAII. Our studio was clean with up scale amentities . The only thing missing is a long sandy beach to walk on but there is a street with a walking path that parallels the ocean. However, the incredible pools with waterfalls helps to balance the lack of a beach. Visitors can walk to a nearby outdoor mall with restaurants. We will definitely consider staying here our next visit.
