My husband and I with our two kids spent the weeke...
My husband and I with our two kids spent the weekend at this resort for our anniversary. I have been here once before when my brother visited and enjoyed it very much. But for some reason this time there were some issues. In the first few minutes in our room my two year old son got his toe sliced by a nail sticking out of the carpet by the sliding door. We called to let them know about the issue, they sent engineers up to the room. They checked it out and we were told there were too many nails poking up to fix, so we had to move rooms (understandable). They moved our room to the next building over. We show up and the door card sensor is dead so we can t access the room. Again engineers are coming to fix this issue. Then once they fixed that the cleaners had to go do a few things. So I sat in my car with two screaming kids, one who was still super upset with a hurt toe. About 45 min later we get the room... it has an upgraded view for sure. Then the next morning we were woken up by super loud noises at 6 am -9 ish am by a pump or air compressor from a maintenance room attached to building. My husband called and maintenance people went and checked it out and turned whatever it was off. I dunno, we never get to go to nice hotels so this was a big treat for our family and feel really let down by what we experience. The pool was jam packed which made it uncomfortable trying to get space from people bc of social distancing. It was a series of unfortunate events that really made our experience not great. The biggest thing for me is It was expensive for us to stay there and unfortunately feel like the money was not well spent. They gave us a $50 credit to their restaurant as an apology for my sons injury and the loud noise etc etc. Just bummed. Things happen I get it but it really was not a great experience.
