Great stay at a very fine property. We started our vacation at Kauai marriot (outstanding) then went to Sheraton Kauai (pretty good) then to the autograph Koloa for reference. For a platinum member we had a decent room with a good upgrade. With that in mind not the room I would have liked to have had. No View but still very nice. The staff was excellent but if you are expecting an ocean view plan ahead. We were still well taken care of unlike our stay currently at the Westin in Princeville where there are no complimentary upgrades and if you do choose to pay for an upgrade (which you will) owners of timeshares get first availability. That being said the property is great and the staff is well appointed. The gym is ok and there is no beach access. The $30 a day credit is a nice touch and might be enough for me to return but still as a loyal member willing to pay more I would have expected more. Don t let my review detour you though. We had a nice stay but if you are looking for appreciation for loyalty stay at the Sheraton first and Kauai marriot second. Hope this helps someone along there stay in this beautiful place.

Koloa Landing was great. Easy check-in, helpful updates throughout the trip via text, and well appointed rooms. There could be more places to hang towels to dry, but otherwise everything was great.
Excellent service, beautiful grounds, and 5 star amenities. Some garden view units don't offer much of a view but the ocean view units will make for a stay that is hard to beat.
The rooms are fantastic and the grounds are amazing! The on site restaurant has the best fish I've ever had! I highly recommend this resort to anyone looking to enjoy time on Kauai.
Con: No complimentary breakfast. Expensive for not so many amenities. They don't give you any information of this place. Stove was not working and ants in our room. Pro: People here are super friendly and helpful. Pool is amazing here and areas for all ages.
EDIT: Upgraded to 5 stars. I'd only given them 4 due to distance to the beach, totally failing to appreciate the Turtle Cove/Koloa Landing old boat ramp, which is mere steps away. There's amazing snorkeling/scuba (you might need to go with a scuba company for that? I don't know much about scuba) there, more than making up for the distance to a sandy beach, at least in my opinion Original review: On 4 trips to this island, I've stayed here (got upgraded to a 2 bed suite), at the Marriott Waiohai (in a 2 bed suite), and the Marriott Lihue (once in a wall bed room, once in a standard queen room). I think that going forward (if/when I return) I'll try to stay here, at Koloa Landing in situations where only one bed is needed/desired. I can't give it 5 stars, though, because of the distance to the closest sand beach as compared to the other 2 properties, which both have access to sand beaches right by the pool area. The Lihue Marriott standard room is a nice hotel room, but lacks any sort of kitchen access (there are mini fridges in the rooms, but that's it.) The wall bed type of room at that property had a kitchenette, but the bed is not super comfortable and the space is pretty small. The Waiohai, as far as I know, only has suites, and that makes it pricier. Koloa Landing's king studio prices are similar to Lihue Marriott standard room prices, and it contains a kitchenette, which is something I like having when staying for longer than a few days. If you don't care about kitchen access, I'd recommend the Lihue Marriott over this one due to easier beach access. I'd probably rate the fitness centers as Lihue being best, followed by the Waiohai and then by Koloa Landing. If I were coming and wantedore than a single bed(room), if the prices were comparable I'd go with the Waiohai, partly due to beach access and partly due to more grill availability and a larger dining table. The kitchen is fancier at Koloa Landing, but they are stocked with similar pots, pans, dishes, flatware, etc. Koloa Landing's 2 BR suite gives each bedroom a bathroom (king room is a full bath with soaking tub and shower, queen room just has the shower and no tub) and a half bath besides. The washer and dryer are in the half bath. Waiohai's 2 BR suite includes a soaking tub in one of the bedrooms and then the other bedroom has a bathroom that has 2 entrances - one for common access to the bathroom and and one directly from the bedroom. The washer and dryer are in that bathroom. All 3 are really nice properties. The pools at Waiohai and Koloa Landing are kind of similar in theming, but Koloa Landing has a water slide in one of the pools. None of the 3 options has a bad pool or is a bad option (except maybe the wall bed option at the Marriott Lihue)
A really nice resort - great pools, huge rooms. Friendly staff with good service. It'll be a whole lot nicer once the renovations are complete. Need to have a buffet breakfast, and improve the pullout bed (it was very uncomfortable / springy). All in all, a great place to stay and unwind.
Almost all the staff was very friendly. Our room was very clean and all outdoor facilities are very well maintained. The restaurant is a bit overpriced, but you do not have to eat there. We would definitely book again.
Loved, loved, loved koloa landing. If you are visiting or are a local this is a great place for everyone, families ,couples and even singles it is an awesome spot. Minus the servers at the holo holo grill, that did not come to service us once until like 30 mins after i went to the restaurant and was told by the server there that she couldnt take my order and i would need to wait for the pool server, because i was swimming. But other than that the food was great and the room my friend stayed in was awesome and spacey.
Extremely nice condo units with beautiful woodwork and furnishings. Our unit had a wraparound balcony, half of the exterior walls were glass. Nice views, beautiful grounds multiple pools and bars. Everything was first class and they had plenty of staff to serve guests. Would definitely return.
Great experience at the Landing. Beautifully appointed two bedroom with gourmet kitchen. The property was stunning - beautiful pool for families and a separate pool for adults. Very close to beach and short drive to great snorkeling. The staff was very attentive and quick to respond to requests. One of the best experiences I have had at any Marriott property.
Koloa landing resort has a very nice spa where they give really good lomi lomi massages. If you go to the spa you get to use their really excellent series of pools and waterslides. There's room for improvement with the poolside food service. It took an improbably long time to receive a hamburger, and the coladas were very weak. Also, they don't serve pineapple spears, which I think is a real shame in Hawaii.
Loved seeing Niki at the bar, Jessica at the front desk. Frank and Kimo at the bell desk were amazing such great service!! Housekeeping is very efficient! Koloa Landing is the best place to stay on island.
Room photo was much nicer than the room itself. Some small dead bugs in the bathtub, small gnats flying around the entire pool area. Nobody greets you at arrival. Not what I was expecting from an 'autograph collection' hotel.
This is how the other half lives. Epic property, pools, and rooms. We had a more affordable room and it was still one of the better rooms we've ever had. There is plenty of room for kids to run around, three pools (one being massive), and it's right near the water. This is a better choice than the Hyatt or Sheraton. Go here. You won't regret it.
Deluxe Ocean View room was not as expected, but staff was quick and friendly to allow us to see another room which we ultimately moved to. Building 8 is where you want to be. Pools are great, very relaxing atmosphere. Rooms are clean and new. Even after walking through the extravagant Grand Hyatt, we are more than satisfied with our accommodations at Koloa all things considered.
Our villa was all that we hoped for and more. It was perfectly appointed, completely stocked with everything we needed in the kitchen and bathrooms & housekeeping was wonderful. The pools were spectacular & the service at the pools. We had one bad experience one day when we rented a cabana, but it was not Koloa Landings fault. Someone pooped in the pool and we had to be out of the pool for 6 hours. I know it was not the fault of Koloa Landing, but I thought some kind of rebate on the cabana would have been in order. Everything.else was perfect and wonderful!
real nice place beautiful rooms friendly nice location only bad thing is the pool service is bad because the resort has only one person working the entire pool
I had the best time. The entire facility was well maintained and beautiful. The view from my room was amazing. Waking up every day in this place was a gift. The staff was helpful and courteous. I took countless walks to the ocean that is just a minute away on foot. The first place I'd ever seen a whale! The pool network here is above and beyond anything I've seen elsewhere. Even waterparks I've been to weren't as nice. After we checked out of our room and had to wait for the time to leave to the airport. We were happily allowed to stay on the resort property and relax, even get a last swim in if we wanted, then they called us a ride to the airport. I loved the stay and I miss this place badly. I write this right after the -60 degree weather here in the midwest. If I can make it I'll go back.
Paid for a one bedroom villa with full ocean view, & all we see is the back of some run down house, and hills. Manager refuses to move us because he says there is no more rooms available. Worst experience EVER.
Loved this place! Very expensive though. Great views, nice friendly staff, and very nice rooms (even the cheap ones!). The pools are amazing and always amazing. Tip: One thing I gotta say is that they have multiple pools. If you want to just swim, go to one of the other pools other than the main or kids pool, because they're always crowded.
Koloa Landing offers exceptional accommodations and service. Great location a short walk from the beach, incredible views, huge well designed pools where you can always find a spot.
I enjoyed the s'mores at night. :) One of the biggest advantages of the place is having a washer and a dryer in the room with some free detergent. The little kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed refilled daily. I will give am advice for those who like hiking (and it's all muddy): you can wash your boots off at the feet wash by one of the pools, and then tire the boots together by the laces and hang them inside of the dryer by the knot on the laces that has to stay outside of the dryer door to let them hang freely. Then run the dryer cycle on low heat.
This was one of my favorite parts of our Kauai trip! It had amazing pools and beautiful views! It is right next to the ocean, which, early in the morning and in the evening, we saw lots of sea turtles. The beaches around this area are also gorgeous and have amazing sunsets. It was an amazing experience overall and was a great ending to our spring break trip!
Beautiful resort with so much to do. Amazing pools, beaches, food, and sites nearby. Rooms are clean and spacious. They open up and make you feel like you're in a natural environment. Nothing like the commercialized touristy preconception I had of Hawaii
Wow. The one and two bedrooms are amazing. All rooms have balconies. Stunning views. Beautiful property with multiple pools. I'd give it 6 Stars if I could.
The newest best kept secret in Kauai. The place is very friendly, every room has a small kitchen, you can call it a home away from home. The family pool (the landing) is a great place to hangout with kids. The Holoholo bar offers great Hawaiian and assorted food.
Absolutely gorgeous resort with a great pool and good rooms. Overall it's great, but there are a couple maintenance related issuex, such as the toilet not working properly or lightbulbs flickering or dieing.
My husband and I stayed at Koloa Landing Resort recently. The hotel is very nice. the staff is very, very awesome. Upon our arrival we checked in with Ma Gelly and greeted us with a very warm Aloha and made us feel so welcome. The room was very nice. The atmosphere and the entire staff are outstanding. We really enjoyed our vacation. I would recommend this hotel to all my friends and family. It was the best vacation ever!. We will back next year. Thank you for making our stay pleasant...
Rooms were amazing, pool was great, location was awesome, and great service. Only complaint is that I paid for an ocean view suite, but from the 2nd floor, we could only see a tiny sliver of ocean, mostly blocked by the houses in front. Still, highly recommended
Came here for our honeymoon. It's a nice resort with great facilities. Had everything we needed including a kitchen area, washer/dryer in the room, staff that is friendly, and clean room! Enjoyed our stay. It is a bit pricy but overall was a good experience!
So far amazing stay, fantastic rooms with modern amenities (nearly a proper apartment!), beautiful location, incredibly friendly staff, could not ask for more- except to not leave!
Nice new facilities, not directly on the beach but good location. Very family oriented. If you want to go to the pool to read expect screaming kids running around
We truly enjoyed our stay. Great way to celebrate our 23rd ann. The one opportunity I think you can improve upon is the bedding. The bed was too soft and seemed small. My wife's feet were almost hanging off the edge? The pillows were to hard as I woke with a stiff neck. Did not make for a good nights sleep. Unit was very clean (great job Housekeeping) Loved the arrival gift- Mahalo.
Service around the pool (while the servers were great) seemed very slow. Received menu then it took almost 30minutes for server to come around again. Food was excellent.
Marynel at the Holo Holo for breakfast on the morning of the 25th was exceptional. Very friendly and a pleasure to talk with.
Front desk agent that checked us in (forgot her name) on Saturday morning around 11am. she was outstanding. She even texted us when the unit was ready.
Hotel is fine if a little bit outdated. There are a few luxury elements, (nicer appliances, infinity pool, but generally feels a bit aged) but my service is terrible. WiFi in our building was down and they made ME get on the phone with cable company. Exactly how everyone wants to spend their Hawaiin vacation on the phone with Comcast.
