Excellent hotel/resort. I would compare it to some nice Hyatt Regency resorts. Room was great...had the smallest room which was like a typical larger hotel room except it had a very large shower, fridge, microwave, large washer and dryer with three free packs of detergent! This was really needed after camping the night before plus a couple hotel nights before that. I REALLY appreciated the large washer/dryer - this convenience (along with the beautiful resort) would make me choose this over just about any hotel. I would even choose this over the Grand Hyatt in Poipu nearby that everyone raves about. The surrounding shoreline cliff hike just east of that Hyatt is amazing but free if you park between that resort and the golf course east of it. I have not stayed there but I walked the grounds and the inside common areas and other than being right on the beach (very important to many people) I think Koala landing is a better hotel and better bang for your buck for sure. The decor of this hotel is nicely done. Pretty traditional Hawaiian theme but modern in a lot of ways. There was a golf putting green area, vollyball, soccer, fire pits with free smores at night. The pool area was great. Actually there were 3-4 pools. The main pool is beautiful (waterfalls, infinity pool with cascading water over near vertical stair step slate type rock wall (cool looking feature). There were two water slides but they closed early around 5:30pm! I hate when they do that, didn't get to use them. My 17 year old son said this was his favorite resort ever (he has stayed at the Gaylord in Orlando along with several other nice resorts). I would have to say it is on par with the best I have ever stayed at. GREAT Resort. Wish I had stayed two nights there.
