Pastrami on rye was truly blissful - tender meat, spiced just right, excellent bread. The mayo/mustard sauce was awesome too. We have nothing like Kenny/Zuke's in Mpls. and it makes me very sad. Ya'll lucky to have them in PDX.
Overpriced but consistently good bagels. Employees always seem lackadaisical. We could all use some vitamin D supplements I suppose

Good, but a bit pricey. However they do cure all of their meats in house and everything is quite delicious. I recently went in for some latkes and matzo ball soup, both of which were super tasty! The applesauce that comes with the latkes is nice and tart and more of a chutney, which really compliments the classic potato pancakes (which are more like fritters in this case).
I've never liked pastrami til we tried it here. Their turkey pastrami is soooo amazing. A most try!! Breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel to die for!

Delicious food, and great service. Comfortable environment, has a charm to it. Wonderful matzo ball soup, knish and latkes. Home made applesauce to die for. Made my NY soul happy. Need to try more things here! This was perfect on a cold day.
Try the pastrami mac and cheese (The Jeremy), very good. Nice location with shops nearby. Waiters didn't seem all that excited to serve us, kinda a bummer on the meal.
Love this place. The Reuben and Latkes are not to be missed. Feel's like you're in a New York deli... I just wish the prices weren't as NY 'spensive! I suggest splitting. The sandwiches are generous.

Prices are really high(it's a freaking corned beef sandwich and fries for crying out loud) go at happy hour if you really need to try this place so you can tell people you have been here.

My burger was overcooked and had pickles even though I requested they be left off. My wife's turkey was dry and there was almost no suakerkraut on her turkey pastrami reuben.

Great place to get a deli sandwich. Really fresh! Stay and eat or pack a picnic. There is so much meat on the sandwiches that my wife makes me split them with her. The sides are okay - the potato salad is better than the slaw.
Food was delicious. Got the beef pastrami Ruben and definitely reminded me of Kat's deli from NYC.
Mac and cheese was creamy and a must have if you enjoy sharper cheeses.

I like the downtown location of Kenny and Zuke's. The service was prompt and friendly in spite of it being lunch time rush hour. I really enjoyed the Reuben sandwich, but just so you know it is a thick cut on the meat, not "meat slicer" thin.

Airport deli. Service has been Pathetic at best the last year. They could sell a lot of the more of the overpriced sandwiches if they had people that could move a little quicker. I ve walked by on many occasion.

I've been here three times (once to dine in, twice for carryout). I've gotten the meatloaf sandwich every time because it's just so good! I do recommend toasting the bread, though. Their Bloody Marys are also top notch, and they put a piece of their home jerky as a garnish. Delicious! The staff are all very nice as well.
My wife and I decided to go out and enjoy a kid free meal together and get out while our son is at his grandmother's. After wandering around town my wife wanted to go to Kenny and Zukes! I said yes as they have great pastrami. When we walked inside there was no one behind us and 1 person had just finished ordering. Jackson the person taking the orders precedes to become impatient with my wife after she is a little indecisive . She asks for a water that he says he is going to bring and never does. When we get our food I ask for the water she was supposed to get and get a snide look from the guy who brought the food out (double man buns), then you can imagine the look I got when I found out that my sandwich was on the wrong bread and asked for him to fix it.
After the extremely poor treatment my wife and I received and the complete lack of kind or professional decorum, we will not be going back to Kenny and Zukes for a good long time. The pastrami may be good but not worth that treatment. I'll concur not sure if they do now or in the future deserve our patronage.

I get far too many bagels from these guys, but that's only because they are awesome. Kim and crew are so rad and they brighten my morning every time I go there. The bagels are fresh and chewy and delicious and their lox is to die for. I don't know what I would do without Kenny and Zuke's!
I'm not a meat-eater so I can't comment on most of the fare here, but I did enjoy the tuna sandwich. Well assembled, great flavor, and the pickle was good too!
A delicious authentic delicatessen with all the classics. I absolutely love their reuben sandwich with house made pastrami and I get it every time I visit. This specific location has plenty of tables, a bar for seating and watching the cooks work, and a full service deli complete with meats, sides, and classic Jewish deli fare. If you love sandwiches, this is s must visit.
A bit pricey for their classic Reuben, but well worth it. Absolutely bomb sandwiches and I really enjoyed their potato salad. I've heard good things about their bagels, which you can get to-go from a counter in the back.
This is only a review of the Hungarian mushroom soup and the service. Both were outstanding! I will be back to splurge on a sandwich!!

Came here for brunch. The mushroom onion benny was quite good. Decent coffee. The wait was not so bad for Saturday around noon. Interesting selection of beers.

Some of the best pastrami that I have ever had in my life! Don't forget to ask for some of Doug's Hawt Sauce - it's the perfect habanero sauce that accompanies most of the menu. Delicious!
Great bagel with lox, nuff said. Actually there is so much more here, I especially like to eat for breakfast. The interior is light and airy with a buzzing friendly atmosphere.
The customer service at this place has dropped off of a cliff. They can't even keep track of their orders, and to top it off some front of house staff are rude. There are way too many good restaurants in this town that deserve your business right now to put up with a business that can't hire decent employees.
Great breakfast! We were so happy with our Saturday breakfast we had to go back on Sunday and brought our friends. Provided a good start to each of our fun filled days on our weekend get away.

I ordered a club sandwich from the menu. The staff wasn t busy at that moment and it was an ordinary wait. After a 5 minute walk back to my office I opened my box and tasted a sandwich on stale bread with nice meat with no mayo or dressing. The dressing included in a plastic cup for my salad (which was fresh) was spaghetti sauce! Very poor- not sure I ll go back
K&Z's Pastrami is melt-in-your-mouth delicious! Expensive for a deli, but quality.
The Pastrami is amazing. It worked well on the burger, but the Reuben is the standout.
Beware of ordering Ken's Special- you soon will be unable to order anything else; it's that good.
Certainly did not live up to the hype. The one good thing served was a vegetable soup - was thick, more like chili. The latkes were dry and overcooked as was the side of pastrami. Won't be going back to test if other offerings are better.

I prefer the un-grilled pastrami over the greasier Ruben, but the meat underneath is brined and smoked perfectly.
Their food is mediocre at best, the atmosphere is off & not clean at all, and the prices are outrageous for what they give you. Stay away from all Kenny & Zukes, unfortunately each Kenny & Zukes brings the same, pathetic service & food.
I went in here by accident on a Postmates delivery. By the time I realized it wasn't Stumptown Coffee, I had already ordered a bagel. The older lady working the counter, I didn't catch her name, was super cool about it and understanding. To my surprise, she offered me the bagel with cream cheese on the house. I insisted on paying, but she wouldn't have it. This is my new favorite bagel and coffee place! You can't beat the casual friendliness of the staff! What a great experience, and I wasn't even technically a customer!
Great spot! Big menu to choose from, so many good deli options and good service. Has a deli inside to take some produce home. Good service, and it was easy to get a table. Try the mushroom cheddar omelette!

Like all "Jewish deli's" in town, the prices are ridiculous, just crazy nuts, and I am a Jew, but I've never understood the whole mentality of serve portions so huge only a college linebacker could finish it in one sitting, with appurtenant pricing.
Regardless, just grin and bear it, because the pastrami is simply that good.

You want deli pastrmi????...... downtown area.....this is it. Order the half sandwich and cup of mushroom soup. Great value for 10.95....ps.....get the fatty version.
Everything is good every time I go there, but they serve the best cheese fries you have ever had. The pastrami cheese fries are worth the years they take off your life.
The food was good, kinda on the pricey end for what we got. The service was a bit terrible though. It was dead with only another 2 tables yet our waitress took forever at every step of the way. She just ended up hanging out with the other staff most of the time. Our quick pop in for lunch ended up being an hour and half of mostly waiting around.
Amazing sandwiches with some unique takes on deli items.

I enjoyed The Classic Reuben I had there. Bread was nice a crispy and didn't get soggy at all. Kraut, cheese and meat all tied together to make it a delicious meal.
They changed their menu a bit. I feel like it isn't as good as it was when it was zekes.

If you love a good reuben, you need to try this place. The pastrami on challa is amazing. It's huge and it hugely delicious. PS., get the pickle plate!
Delicious home made bagels. I ordered a sesame bagel with lox cream cheese and it was amazing. Good price points only $7. Fast service only took her a moment to make my food. Kim who served me at the counter was lovely, very kind and accommodating. Highly recommend. Best spot I ve found in this part of downtown.
Tried their salmon with eggs and potatoes from their all-day breakfast menu. Salmon was very very salty. Potatoes were cold and looked like they were sitting there for a while. Eggs were good - cooked just as ordered. There were 2 waiters on duty and only my party of 2 dining in the restaurant. Had to wave a waiter over because they weren't paying attention to us sitting there waiting to order. This was on a Friday evening, when the entire town was hustling and bustling. We should have taken a clue from that. Will not eat here again if I visit the town.
Best in-house, fresh pastrami and corned beef in town. Highly recommended.
When we are in downtown Portland is a place we go when we want excellent pastrami and corned beef. I always get the cheesy pastrami fries, a little excessive but 6-8 oz of pastrami bits and can share with the table. Of course you need to get the Reuben which is terrific. but the best deal is the little Asher which is on the kids menu this will provide you two big pieces of pastrami with fries. I'm not sure if they let you order the little Asher without a child though.
Really, do we need another "K&Z's is great!" review....
