This resort is Amazing, worth every penny. And is perfect for a stay-cation or Vacation. Everyone needs to try their cucumber margaritas, also every evening at 5pm they have give out a free shot and a story.
However
Do Not order room service, especially breakfast... it's not good at all. It tastes cheap. I do hope they change that.

Wonderful experience. It was our 1st time, The staff were really nice. They exceeded our expectations. Although there was some construction going on it was a pleasant experience. We will definitely return!

As always this place delivers. Like any resort the food and drinks are overpriced, but it's to be expected. Lazy river and pools are great for the kiddos and things seem very secure. Will continue to visit with the family

This is a truly spectacular resort -- even if you don't play golf (I do not). The buildings are beautifully designed and appointed, and equally well maintained. The views from the rooms are nearly breathtaking, and you have the same views while dining on the patio at Salud, their small-plates (and wine, etc.) restaurant. There is some guest parking, with a bit of a walk to the hotel lobby, but the walk is tempered by some nice views along the way. There are extensive conference facilities, as well, and they appear to be well designed for groups of all sizes.

The location of Star Pass is great. There are hikes in the hills within a 5 minute walk of the front door. The rooms are also very nice, and the beds are comfortable. There is a pool and hot tub, and at least 2 bars with restaurants. The food for the catered event was good, except the vegan/veggie options were not. There was portabella mushrooms, peppers, onions, etc. I don't know how they did it, but the portabella tasted terrible and were served cold!!!!

Attending a professional event during the weekend. The resort is enormous and it was extremely easy to get lost. Even while the lobby staff gave us directions. They were extrememly vague directions and didn't help us find the event in the resort.

Drinks and food are very good. Obviously, it's a resort, so don't expect the prices to be very reasonable. The service is exceptional, and they have free tequila "shots" at 5:30... Although it was only about 1/3 of a real shot.

The customer service was ok at best. The staff was disingenuous and appeared annoyed. The amenities were closed due to COVID which is understandable. However if you plan to not offer all pools and the water slide which was the reason for coming, then list that on the website and don't waste our time. We would have just gone to the Hilton instead of disappointing to our kids. if you are "understaffed "and cannot provide outdoor safe amenities then stay closed.

Absolutely beautiful resort!! Such a unique setting, breathtaking views from just about anywhere in the hotel or on its vast grounds. PGA style golf course. Walking trails, top rate spa, valet parking or self parking, an enormous conference area, several bars, many restaurants, 2-3 pools, a lazy river, comfortable seating areas on the multi-level patio overlooking the valley, full dinner and drink service on the patio with fireplaces/fire pits to take that late evening chill out of the air or just adds to the ambiance. Reserve a cabana by the pool or stay off the resort down the mountain a short distance in you own private villa. All in all a great place to unwind, attend conference, just come for dinner or pay a one day resort fee and enjoy all the facilities!

This is a really pretty hotel. The rooms are generous and updated. The food is decent, but it would be wonderful if they would offer vegan options at all dining spots. The kids loved the lazy river and the waterslide. Most of the staff is very nice and helpful. Our room is very very quiet which is a huge bonus.

Rude CSR on Dec 31 2018 at 7am..hollered at me , "why didn't you show up" as I was trying to explain that I thought I had canceled the Reservation #77123341 and wanted her to waive the "no-show" fee. I asked her name and didn't provide. Said Happy New Year in a rude tone and abruptly hung up. then tried to contact Hotel Mgr for assistance to no avail. Don't EVER stay here. First time ever I have had problems with a Marriott property and I'm a Marriott member and have always stayed at Marriot properties. Your people and staff display how you run your hotel

The family atmosphere is delightfully awesome, the hiking and walking trails are beautiful. The food is mouth watering tasteful, and the outdoor firepits are romantic with marshmellos and ingredients to make fresh smoores. The views are breath taking. The resort room was state of the art.up scale comfortable and cozy!

Woken up at 5am to construction workers banging and scraping right outside my window so I lost 1.5 hours of sleep. Called the front desk and there s nothing they can do about it, didn t even have ear plugs to send me, and can t move me to another room. Horrible planning and completely inconsiderate!!!

Been here a couple of times. The hotel is nestled in the hills and has beautiful grounds. Pretty good layout. All rooms have a good view. Handful of bad views which I have been put in, even as a titanium elite. The hotel itself is in good shape. Rooms are bit tired, but laid out nicely. Bed and pillows are old and uncomfortable. Furnishings are dated and not in working order. The rooms are a Fairfield quality, the hotel close to JW standards. I would say considering the price, the hotel is not worth it. Food is pretty good and the staff that is there is great, but they are very understaffed. Location is good if you dont want to leave the resort. Not much around. Make sure to find out if the hotel is having a conference or not. Pretty miserable if they are.

Excellent hotel! I came here for a week long conference. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There are so many outdoor activities (hiking, swimming, golf, etc.) that you'll never be bored!

Beautiful setting but not kid friendly. Besides a splash pad there is not much to do with kids. And location is out of the way unless u eat on location.. Kids meals $9 a piece. Very small fridges in room with no microwave. If u r here make sure u have a car so you can go elsewhere for sightseeing and meals thay won't cost an arm and a leg

A fine resort and community located in the beautiful western foothills of Tucson. It has easy access to the historic downtown areas of Tucson as well as the convention Center and excellent entertainment and dining.

Beautiful resort as you would expect but customer service that makes it 5 star in my book. Everyone from the valet to bar staff to pool towel attendant were all friendly, kind and genuinely happy to help. Nikki at the front desk went above and beyond helping me to get a ground floor for my special needs toddler and surprised our family with some supplies to make s'mores. I normally travel for business so traveling with the entire family of 5 including our special needs kiddo can be challenging, thank you JW Marriott Tucson for making it perfect, memorable and thoughtful!

What a beautiful desert treasure. We woke each morning to watch different wildlife stroll by outside our windows. Deer, wild boar, a friendly road runner. It was a treat! The lazy river was a favorite hang with attentive pool wait staff to bring us our favorite blackened tuna wrap! The bartenders poured generously and our mixed drinks were perfectly blended. The multi tiered outdoor seating over looking a yonder city was divine. And you can't beat the rooftop view of the sunset. Moments from downtown Tuscon but world's away from life's worries... This was a relaxation destination that was worth the trip!

For the most part, we had a great time. The hotel is beautiful, loss of amenities, the view from the room was great, and the beds were comfortable. However, I had a really bad interaction around my plugin hybrid. I asked at the front desk about their plugin stations, and was directed to the valet. Some with the valet, who asked about the make of the car and then said he'd take care of it, but I'd need to pay the $20 valet fee. Next day I check on my car, and it's not been charged at all.

The staff were amazing, really friendly and there for our every need. The hotel is stunning and everything was really clean. I had an amazing time over there and I strongly recommend it to everyone.

Really enjoyably stay. We are local residence and stayed for a conference. Rooms were very clean. Great desert setting. This setting is what I would imagine for seeing the desert for the first time. We saw deer and javelina in the washes on property. Very immersive. Service was great. Food prices are pretty hefty but hey, its a resort

The room we had was very nice and spacious, the bed was very comfortable. The toiletries that they supply were above and beyond any other places we've stayed , worth the stay. Beautiful hotel, great staff.
