Great for a vacation or staycation. The lazy river is very popular with the kids. Comfortable rooms with lovely views of the mountains or the pools. Very good restaurant options. One of the nicest resorts in Tucson!

Pools were dirty with people drinking and eating in the pool that was in service. Main pools were half empty of water and out of commission with yellow tape due to high occupancy the night before we checked in. Manager unable to answer questions about the poor condition of the pools and the slide not being on. Constant power outages left us without AC in July. TV service is outdated for a resort, teen place and kids place is only functional on weekend even in the summer.

Finally a place that shows why it's rated what it is. Room was great, service everywhere; dinner, check in, bar, top notch. They sent up a little s'more suprise for my kids birthday which is why we came. Great touch. Even letting us stay after check out to swim! (Got rained out yesterday)

One of the best fireworks displays I've seen in a long time. We stayed overnight for the 4th of July, and got to enjoy the festivities. The service is fantastic. They do not have as many activities as they have had in the past or as other similar properties have, but there are some fun things to do. The lazy river is wonderful. Whoever is in charge of the fireworks deserves a raise.

This hidden gem is a must visit! Large resort with lazy river and pool. Enormous golf course. The hotel resort itself is immaculate. Free Tequila shots every night (I believe 6pm). I have stayed here at least 10 different times and have 0 complaints. Also hosted a fantasy football draft here and had an awesome time.

The hotel was nice. Staff were super. Grounds were undergoing some construction but there wasn't much noise or mess. Wish that the lazy river were larger - it's the whole reason we chose the Marriott for my birthday!

I had stayed in this hotel previously for a hiring event and loved my stay and all that it offers. I recently attended to enjoy it's greatest feature, hiking. It is a very lovely place to just go and enjoy the scenery and nature surrouding it and it was a lovely visit like always. My stay was also great, room very clean, staff very attentive. Everything from this resorts screams quality.

Wow what a beautiful place and setting. No photos of pool or golf course but both are really nice. So close to Saruargo NM west which is one of the many many most beautiful places in Arizona.

A very nice facility, well maintained, nice professional staff. The price point seemed disparate with the family focus however. 17 dollars a day for internet, 15 dollars a person for a continental breakfast, exceptionally high food and beverage prices for bottom shelf items. Very unpleasant dining experience with regard to the kitchen, but the hostess and manager went out of their way to make things right.

Had a five day stay here and every day was a great experience. The staff were all friendly and courteous. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. Even the less desirable views are still good. The resort blends in to the surrounding desert seamlessly. One day I saw three mule deer grazing in a dry riverbed about 20 yards from the pool.

It was a very nice hotel. Nice location. Clean rooms. The spa was excellent. Though there were some issues in regards to our reservation. And our room was next to the elevator which was very noisy.

My wife and I stayed at the JW for 5 nights. We were in town for a USTA Nationals tennis tournament that took place at the Refkin Tennis Center on the other side of town. I had previously stayed at the resort for a brief work trip a few years ago. I would rate our experience as above average but there are definitely a number of areas where the resort could improve. As a frequent Marriott guest with over 100 nights this year, I would say that being a Platinum is essentially meaningless at this property since it is classified as a resort. You do receive free internet and the points or $10 food/service amenity upon check-in and that's about it. We did not have the opportunity to check out the fitness area or use the on-site spa. Both restaurants are good. We really enjoyed the food/service/wine at Primo although it was closed for two of the days we were on the property which was disappointing. One of the nights (Sunday) was because of a private party. Our biggest issue was with the front desk staff. When we checked in the front desk attempted to give us a room with double beds. We had to wait until 4p for an upgraded city-view room with a king bed. The room was nice and close to the lobby. We had given the front desk my cell phone number to call when our room was available. They never called and the room was available when we went back to the front desk to check. We then received our keys and went to the room. They gave us a room with two double beds. We went back to the front desk and they gave us the king room. They weren't very apologetic and didn't compensate us for the inconvenience. The other area that is a common area of concern I've read in other reviews is the distance to self-parking. It is truly a hike that becomes irritating after a while. Self parking is $10/day and Valet is $20/day. I really think the resort should compensate Platinum's and provide Valet parking for the same rate as self-parking. Finally, the towels being provided in the rooms are very substandard and gray in color. It appears that they are supposed to be white. I've come to expect a certain level of towels from Marriott and these towels were clearly inferior. On the positive side, the traditional tequila toast at 5:30 PM each evening is fun and the patio area is beautiful. PROS Tequila toast Primo restaurant Non front desk staff is very friendly Grounds are nice with signs of some maintenance issues CONS Self Parking - distance from room at a cost Towels are scratchy, abrasive and discolored Lack of Platinum benefits Front desk staff Tennis court surface - sport court

This is a truly amazing resort. Wonderful food, spectacular views, luxurious rooms, excellent spa, and even free access to the driving range (including clubs!) This is absolutely the best place to stay in Tucson.

We ve stayed many times over the years. Beautiful location. Rooms are pretty standard. We went last weekend to enjoy the lazy river which was nice to have in this pandemic. Amazingly my husband lost his wallet which we originally thought was stolen but a guest returned it and cash was still inside! Faith in humanity restored.

Hi! My experience with the staff was less than adequate. They did not know answers to simple questions and didn t want me to speak with a manager. Sigh. Another corporation with no soul. You re better of at a Hilton or even a dang La Quinta!

Huge pve. Great fancy ballrooms and I had such a great time going to my company holiday party. The outside scene is so beautiful and it truly takes my breath away. The service was great with food that was amazing. Our company has so many guest and it was amazing that we were all accommodated for such an event
