Home Away From home

Home Away From home
We returned for our second visit. The facility is luxurious. I will add that I love our bedroom suite at our home. It takes a lot for us to experience the same sense of comfort as home. We are just as comfortable here in our in our well appointed spotless hotel room. The view is spectacular. The staff are welcoming and accommodating to our needs with ease. You can't go wrong here in our book!

I spent a day in the spa taking advantage of the special. My therapists had hands like magic making all tension and aches disappear. I felt like a rag doll at the end of each treatment. My only suggestion would be for the spa reception staff to be more engaging and the attendants to be more visible and attentive between check in and the appointments. You're kind of on your own once you receive your locker. This did not take away from my overall experience.

Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple

I have stayed in a lot of Marriott's in fact I'm a lifetime Titanium. When we arrived the greeting was average from the front desk. Check in was quick. The room was clean and tidy and had a nice view. The mattress was comfortable. The resort has great pools and a fantastic gym.
There is a cool trail system close to the resort with lots of options.
We ate at the Catalina unfortunately the burger didn't come out as ordered. The service there was average. We decided to give the Signature grill a try for dinner and the food was spot on the service was horrible.
They do have a fantastic breakfast buffet!
With both restaurants being on the grounds you would think that they would have that JW standard.
Overall this is not a bad resort though I feel it falls short of the JW standard.

Awesome resort in the heart of the desert. This place has several restaurants, two pools, a lap pool, and a small kids water area. It also has hot tubs and a lazy river, with a curving water slide that dumps out into it.

This resort backs up to the breathtaking Tucson Mountain Park, composed of 20,000 acres and 60+ miles of non-motorized trails...and a golf course on site... and lots of conference rooms, big and small..

All facilities, rooms, and amenities were in order (as usual). Everything was very clean, the staff was extremely helpful and welcoming, and the food/drinks were delicious. I've stayed many times and it's always one of the most consistent resorts I've been to.

Fantastic views. Excellent service. Sweet golf amenities. Great food. The Lazy river is off the chain and very relaxing. Live music at Salud outdoor bar. This is the place to be after 6 months of sheltering in place from the 'Rona.

Beautiful oasis in the hills above Tucson located in the Saguaro National Forest. The service is fantastic in every area of the resort. There are multiple pool areas for the whole family to play or just relax and read a book. Panoramic views are provided from most rooms. They have a full service spa that I haven't tried yet. There are several hiking trails that can be accessed from the property. I haven't played golf at the course next door but I will in cooler times. The pool area could benefit by having more umbrellas that can be repositioned. While we haven't eaten at the Primo restaurant that is on site, the other restaurant isn't one to get too excited about. I think the food is good but not great. This could be the victim of trying to have something for everyone where they certainty excel. They cannot compete with the many great restaurants in town. Finally, the complementary tequila tasting each evening is a must do!

Truly magnificient resort with a day time desert view that can only be rivaled by its night time view of Tucson. We hiked for days without seeing any Javelinas but awoke to see a group of them just below our balcony.

I loved this place. The pool areas were a bit crowded, but I was expecting just that during the last few weeks of summer. I do have to say that MJ at the front desk is amazing! She went above and beyond to accommodate me when I first arrived around 2 am with two very cranky kids. Mj came to my truck with a luggage cart, checked me in and helped me to my room. What a relief for a mom traveling 5 hours with kiddos. It definitely started things off right, and the stay just kept getting better from there. Every single person from our housekeeper Lana, to the room servers and valet were pleasant. Enjoyed it so much, we will be traveling the 5 hours again next month to stay for the weekend. I'd highly recommend the hotel to any other family that needs a little weekend break/getaway.

My favorite thing? Enjoying a drink by the pool with the kids!

Save your money. This hotel is in a very sad way currently. No breakfast service, no room service, no room cleaning. I could go on and on, but I need to find a cheap Holiday Inn Express where I will rate better levels of service than this so-called luxury Marriott.

Nice resort. Great customer service. Parking was our only problem. $10 a day to self park which was A LONG walk back to room or $20 a day for valet. With the price of the rooms i think they could throw in free parking especially when you have to walk a half mile to parking garage and one night self park was completely full, no spots available!! Went to valet. No spots available...the attendant had no suggestions.. other than the parking it was a wonderful stay.

Honestly, it s a luxurious as you d expect (in this humble Midwest boys opinion)

It s a true resort, multiple restaurants, views to kill for, a feeling of exclusivity, golf, spa etc...

It s expensive, but your money is not wasted. TREAT YO SELF.

Very nice Marriott property without a doubt. Has all the amenities that anyone could ever want and or get.....And the views are spectacular! It is pricey, and very upscale as well as elegant.....But worth it....

Definitely better for folks not arriving late.

Definitely better for folks not arriving late.
Late equals NO FOOD + NO FRIDGE = STARVATION.

Looking for another Marriott or SPG property, long my regular business trips to Tucson

We were told that we would have a room overlooking the golf course and mountains and all we see off our balcony (that's literally arm distance reach) is a big pile a dirt (I know what AZ mountains look like and this wasn't it) and piles or trash off our balcony. Also our balcony had tons of cigarette butts and trash on it as well. The couch cushion had a huge grease stain that you can tell no one tried to get out because it was still fresh from previous ppl. Tried to flip over cushion and stains on that side. We asked to use a dolly for our luggage and they said we had to have a bellhop do it for us for "liability" reasons. Seriously?! So you're telling me all other places could care less about liability?? The only thing free here is the water in the lobby and you can't even give me a dolly?? They also have HORRIBLE parking....on the street! If you want to park in a parking lot it's on the complete opposite side of the building! Just not happy. If my kids didn't love to swim, we would have left...we came here for them anyway.

Big Resort. Parking a long ways away.

Big Resort. Parking a long ways away.
Crowded pools. Nice venue and views.
Front desk agents should not advertise tattoos, looks unprofessional.
Different class of guests during off season.

Love!
