Absolutely stunning! The resort and its staff were absolutely amazing. The views were unlike any other, any where you stand the sights are breathtaking. The food and quality of service was nothing less the exceptional, this resort you must visit. And you must end your evening sitting on the back patio sitting by the fire and enjoying the lights of Tucson, 10 out of 10!

I attended a professional event at the JW Marriott Star Pass Resort and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. The rooms are so nice, robes are provided too! Facilities and rooms for our conference were all so nice. Made my stay so nice that I will be taking my family back some day.

Smells were bad, even after telling the front desk. The rooms and facility was clean so it's possible that the other people staying there caused them to use a bad odor eating sent due to the smoke smell.

We had an absolutely fantastic time. The service was great. The kids enjoyed the pool and the slide. There was a lot of people but it didn't feel crowded. We will for sure be going back.

The place is beautiful BUT.... We had no maid service the first day and had to call up for towels and didn't get what we asked for. Second day we asked for early maid service because had some friends coming by. I guess they think 3:00 in the afternoon is early????? Again still very few towels. As we were leaving the Bell person took so long we ended up making several trips with our stuff ourselves. Nice place but in NO WAY 4or 5 star service.

We only tried one of their restaurants. The menu is too limited. Nothing low carb except salad. Everything else was combined with some kind of sauce. Otherwise it's a lively big resort. A nice place to get a coffee from Starbucks and sit on the patio to admire the view. You do have to go downstairs to the patio. Starbucks used to be on the patio level. I liked it better then.

Magnificent resort, delicious food, fabulous amenities. Available staff was wonderful and professional. One HUGE problem. No employees were on duty at the pools to pick up empty glasses, bottles, trash, or take away any dirty dishes on both the Saturday and Sunday I was there. By 5 pm both days, the entire area was filthy. Paper napkins and drink cups floated in the pools and anywhere you tried to sit, you had to deal with stinking leftovers covered with flies. Used pool towels were EVERYWHERE. We checked out a day early because of this.

My kids loved the splash pad they have. Not very intricate but it's great for them! The military price was awesome for what you get! And the pool area was also pretty awesome. Definitely recommend as a place to stay.

Better than I anticipated. The views alone are so beautiful and the service was great. Spent the day at the pool with a cabana, Steven H the manager on duty was wonderfully accommodating! I will want to book another staycation for a special occasion in the future.

This is a great place to stay and chill. The lobby overlooks the city and looks great at night. I took a star off because the bathroom was in bad shape. Dented lamp shades and loose caulking falling off of the wall.

Inconsistent. Food and service in one restaurant might be exceptional, and in the next, unacceptable. Resort is huge, and it would seem that attention to detail is being left aside to serve the masses. Property is lovely, but the whole experience was a mixed bag.

Place was pick by vendors - excellent in every scenario!!
3 or 4 restaurant on property- great chef in signature grill !
We did not visit others so I can't comment.
Valet, bell man , front desk, cleaning team - top notch!! Friendly and efficient - granted I did not have any special requests
Great pool area and bars

Best feature for us - bike rental shop on property. Very convenient and equipped( they will give you backpack with co2 , extra tubes ( we had one flat tire) , pump and water!!
Giant bikes on rental ( decent quality ) we used them for 4 days. Read about cactus trees and be careful about some - we had some issues with Cholla Cactus - it kind of jump on you if you too close to it!!

I was visiting for a conference. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I especially enjoyed Desiree's ability to compliment every guest. I know if I am ever back in Tucson, I will stay here again.

The resort was amazing! The service was great and the rooms were nice. The facilities were clean and the view was beautiful. The check-in and check-out processes were very smooth. They have a lot of good restaurants, a lazy river, and a beautiful pool. Every morning, they host morning hikes and every afternoon there is a free tequila toast. I even randomly got a free root beer float in the lobby!

Located away from located away from much of other amenities. This results in the necessity of using their restaurants and so forth. They are very expensive and can take a long time to get service. Facilities are nice, room pools and all

The rooms were very clean and spacious and quite luxurious. The front staff were very friendly and helpful even though we were really busy they make sure that they took care of us. While we were waiting we got thirsty and they have these three Crocs full of water with different flavors. one was a citrus flavor the other one was a melon cucumber flavor and I believe the other one was a pineapple mint flavor. This was real fruit and it was delicious! The barking was a little crazy but that's because this place is so popular. Enjoyed our stay tremendously :-)

We had (a surreal but) amazing stay at this property for the first time this weekend. With only a few other guests on property this was a strange experience but the staff was very gracious and we had a wonderful stay. Highly recommended when travel ever gets back to some semblance of normalcy.

Pros: The views from this hotel are beautiful and the staff are very friendly and accommodating but for the price I had some disappointments. Cons: First, they did not have our room ready until 5pm and we were not alone, there were literally 100 of us squatting in the lobby area waiting for rooms. Apparently they had a large group (I was quoted 400-500) people checking out and the same size group checking in but with an 11am check out and a 4 pm check-in there should be no reason for guests to be sprawled out with their luggage all over the lobby like a hostel. If you know that you are going to be slammed staff accordingly. The front desk woman was very nice (especially given that she has not control over staffing but was there to take the heat from all those people) and gave us a $50 food credit but considering the resort fee and the parking fee on top of that (because there really isn't any free parking) it was a wash. We traveled with kids specifically for the lazy river and slide but these were small and underwhelming which is probably why they were not pictured on the site. The main pools were nice. We only ate at signature grill and Salude. All the restaurants are a bit pricey which is fine but the quality of the food was just ok the rooms were standrard. I guess that's the overall verdict, ok. I have stayed at Double Trees Resorts that were just as good. I am a Marriott and Hilton rewards member but for my money I would go with the Hilton properties.
