This is a first class resort hotel in Tucson. Absolutely beautiful backdrop. West side of Tucson is a little less congested.

Clean and spacious. The view is phenomenal and start the day off with a grand cactus view across the bridge. Luxurious feel when it comes to the bedding. Onsite Starbucks saves a lot of time in the AM.
Simply amazing. Worth the drive. Friendly staff, fun pools (lazy river and hot tubs), golf course etc... Plus nature visits often with deer and such. Excellent bar and eateries. I will stay here again. It's worth bringing the family to check out!
Absolutely beautiful amazing views. My only complaint is I wish they had made it easier to park not much for parking and a lot of it gets full really fast.
Amazing resort. Food was good, great tequila selection. Beds are fantastic.
The staff was amazing, and I look forward to staying again
Two nights in a row I call the restaurant for take out and get voice mail saying they're not available and to leave my name and number and when I'd like my reservation. First night is mother's day so thinking they are slammed I'll just go up and order take out. So I walk in and out of 30 or so tables they have five tables seated. Monday night same call same message. I go up to do take out and it's empty! These guys are worthless. I've been doing take out for over 20 years and have NEVER been treated like this. Maybe they are headed for bankruptcy.
Beautiful views and ambiance. Lunch was good, I ordered a salad.
Very pricey but outstanding service and by leaps and bounds the best restaurant in Tucson
Interesting drinks in the lobby, and wonderful room service
We went to this JW for drinks and appetizers on the patio and had a great time! We arrived after sunset so we had a cool view of Tucson lights in the distance, and there was a great band playing live music. Friendly server, good food and good drinks! We have been several times and look forward to our next visit.
Love this hotel! Rooms are pretty quiet & the lazy river is awesome. Staff here is friendly & helpful. I would definitely stay here again!
Beautiful location, and a very nice dining experience at Promo.
Beautiful location. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Very kid friendly. Decor is outdated and worn. Shower tile and grout worn and discolored. Towels are rough and dingy but the bath products are nice. Spa experiences were very nice, but waaay overpriced. My dining experiences were all disappointing. The room rates are not justified by the quality of the amenities. It's not awful, simply way overpriced.
The view is beautiful, I like the house music in the lobby
Beautiful property that invites relaxation for its scenic views and we'll maintained grounds, but floating tubes with charge, pool ares require wristbands as guests. on site lap pool too: but hot tubs seem to attract toddlers and preteens.
Towels handed to guests at entry of pool area. Lots of shade at lazy river lounge chairs, but not at pool side; expect to rent a cabana, for poolside shade.
Drinks are specialty blends with fresh ingredients and very twsty, but ouch for pocketbook at $15 for several, like sangria or fruit blends!
Great service, friendly staff, food and setting is excellent.
Restaurants were great, though Primo is closed on Mondays. Views are amazing, property was clean, rooms were a bit dated, but the bed and shower were amazing. Spa was mediocre, I wouldn't recommend it here for the price. The lady yawned the entire time, washed her hands when done and to forever (etiquette is to work hands and leave the customer in a tranquil setting) the back facial was nice, but mainly just the clarsonic stuff, and some of the spa amenities were closed. It's a bit far out from everything and the drive up from the freeway felt longer than 10 minutes since there's literally nothing else but houses in that area. I didn't need an Uber or Lyft, but there were never any waiting in the area, so it would definitely be a wait if you needed to go off the property. The shuttle is only for their golf course and other restaurants.
The facility is wonderful, the staff are friendly but the service is slow. And most things take ten times longer than they should. Most facilities don't answer their phone so we had to physically walk to where ever we needed info to get that info. Calling the front desk doesn't help since all they do is transfer the call. Not sure we'd come back.
Hotel, restaurant and room was fine. Very friendly staff and service. However, the spa wasn't such a great experience. Manicure and Pedicure were fine. Very relaxing and professional. My husband bought me a spa package that included mani/pedi and his wash and style. My stylist for the hair was 25 minutes late and gave me the worst hair style ever! Terrible. I have long hair, she never combed my hair prior washing or after washing, It felt like it wasn't rinsed well, she started blowdrying without combing my hair, used tons of product, teased and just seemed very inexperienced. Its too much to write it all. I had to go back to my room and tried to fix it as best as I could! My hair was dry and dull, bad style. Just awful!!! I do not recommend getting your hair done here! Hated my hairstyle ruined my event!
Set in lovely location. Grand complex with helpful staff
Very disappointing. Feel we were goudged on the cost of the room - we were part of a group at the resort for an event and we were to have negotiated pricing which we were denied. Charged an exorborient amount for a resort fee and never saw a benefit from that charge. Clerk at desk said she could not make an adjustment - I have never been to a place where there was not some flexibility and the accounting department did not make those decisions - ridiculous.
The service employees were wonderful. The food barely so-so.
Enjoyed Tucson but not JW Marriott Starr ....
Would not recommend this resort there are others in the area.
I cannot say enough good things about this place. The views are amazing, the food is fantastic and it's all top off by one of the best staff you could ever hope to encounter.
Such a great place for my family to go to for a little staycation. I love floating in the lazy river with a frosty drink! Poolside service can be a bit slow, which is understandable for everyone they have to serve. If you know that going in, it's not a problem. Sitting on the huge patio at night, staying warm by a fire...so relaxing!
We had mocha incredible breakfast sandwich and parfait daily for breakfast. It was great. Very filling.
Amazing stay! We had dinner at Primo which was wonderful. The staff is the best. Drinks at Salud again amazing. Breakfast at Signature clean and great breakfast options. Starpass is beautiful and a great place to stay!
Beautiful grounds, great staff. Went out of their way to accommodate myself and co-workers who were there in business.
Beautiful views. Friendly staff and great atmosphere.
The lazy river and pool area are the highlight however they could use more shade. $100 will get you a cabana for half a day. Rooms are adequate.
drove up to just see how this was and this place is awesome! the valet parking (Steven) and staff (Ruben) were also outstanding and helpful.
Wow what can I say beautiful view sat and had a drink and what an amazing ambience. With lit fire pits and amazing views. Will definitely be back
Great place to stay. Room very comfortable. One sad part coffee maker no coffee or cups in room
The hotel was very nice. The room was surprisingly plain for what they charge. It was my first time at a "Resort Hotel" so maube its on par, I just had higher expectations. We will probably return for another staycation.
Having a great weekend trip. Enjoying the restaurants and pools. Great service. Friendly staff.
Tried to make a reservation. They require you to wear masks outside (per the front desk). Thats not a state or city mandate. Just some ridiculous rule these guys made up. Brilliant. 110 degrees outside and they want to keep their guests even more miserable. Business is hurting and they hurt it more. Keep it klassy Tucson!
Beautiful property. It makes you forget that you're in Tucson. We went here for a function in the Arizona room. The patio off the room is a great place to have social hour while the sun sets. The only reasons why I didn't give it 5 stars is due to the room having no fridge or microwave, the price, and the parking garage being so small.
Loving this hotel a lot. Offering a good SPA, many resturants and a great ballrooms. The staff is super nice also.
The room was beautiful, the View was amazing, and the beds were comfortable. I would have left a 5-star review had it not been for my last night there. I had arranged for a wake up call and a taxi to the airport the night before. Neither were taken care of. Fortunately I woke up on my own at 4:15 a.m. and managed to ride along in another hotel guest's Uber. I expected something, even an apologetic phone afterward to acknowledge their neglect. My stay was 3 months ago and I've never heard from them.
Absolutely beautiful Resort in a amazing area. Beautiful view and very nice patio area. Now the downside: it took forever to get checked in as my key didn't work not once but twice. Then they try to put me in a different room that had a much less desirable view and several floors up. I asked to wait for the original room lock to be fixed and then I took it later. The food in the restaurants of the hotel is just downright unacceptable. For the price you pay for the meals here it should be much higher in quality but I did not have a decent meal the entire stay. The room was very comfortable although the air conditioning had a hard time keeping up but outside of that a very nice room. Outside of the check-in experience and if I could eat anywhere else but here this was a nice stay.
Great resort, lots do to on site. Could use more food options.
This is a beautiful resort in an amazing area. I will definitely visit here again.
relaxing staycation was perfect! The room was beautiful and comfortable, spa staff and services are exemplary and the food was sublime! Loved our waitstaff too.
Whole experience was great from early check in to great event. Drinks are a little steep but different bars have different prices. Overall great experience
Room was clean, ready early, and cozy. Spent day at Lazy River, and enjoyed ourselves. The Signature dinner was good. Service was great, but food was not amazing. Staff was friendly all around.
The parking was difficult to navigate. The staff was very helpful and professional. It gave a welcoming atmosphere and a safe space. The resort is large and hard to navigate but the staff seemed to know where to direct you almost every time and never failed to do so. The rooms were well-separated from large events in order to keep everyone comfortable and the area was very well isolated from the chaos of Tucson.
Beautiful view of the mountains with wonderful amenities (pool, lazy river and a comfortable out seating area), however, the service and dining experience was very disappointing.
Incredible experience in the experience, the views, the integrity of the resort and the staff. This is definitely an Oasis found in the desert, literally!
Nicest Marriott I've ever stayed in. The landscape was beautiful, the Arizona desert. Rooms were great.
This is a beautiful, secluded, relaxing resort. The pools, spa, restaurants, and other amenities are excellent across the board.
Wifi sucks here. Once wifi sucks the whole experience sucks.
Relaxing. Some rooms with no Internet access, had to be moved. Great Tequila tasting daily at 5:30pm.
I have been to all of the resorts in Tucson and this place is above and beyond any of the others. Truly stunning. But the valet wasn't very accommodating.
I visited for my company Christmas party, which was in the ballroom. This is the second year that I stayed, and this time I got a room with a city view and balcony. Good sleep. Wish I didn't have plans the next day, so I could have checked out the restaurants.
Absolutely beautiful and a great layout of the property
Restaurants are excellent the rooms are nice. Food is excellent service is good enjoying my stay.
Very nice. Except they do not offer any kind of free continental breakfast, and they make you pay for Wi-Fi even if you are paying for a room.
Nice pool complex, good convention/meeting facilities.
