Pros: The views from this hotel are beautiful and the staff are very friendly and accommodating but for the price I had some disappointments. Cons: First, they did not have our room ready until 5pm and we were not alone, there were literally 100 of us squatting in the lobby area waiting for rooms. Apparently they had a large group (I was quoted 400-500) people checking out and the same size group checking in but with an 11am check out and a 4 pm check-in there should be no reason for guests to be sprawled out with their luggage all over the lobby like a hostel. If you know that you are going to be slammed staff accordingly. The front desk woman was very nice (especially given that she has not control over staffing but was there to take the heat from all those people) and gave us a $50 food credit but considering the resort fee and the parking fee on top of that (because there really isn't any free parking) it was a wash. We traveled with kids specifically for the lazy river and slide but these were small and underwhelming which is probably why they were not pictured on the site. The main pools were nice. We only ate at signature grill and Salude. All the restaurants are a bit pricey which is fine but the quality of the food was just ok the rooms were standrard. I guess that's the overall verdict, ok. I have stayed at Double Trees Resorts that were just as good. I am a Marriott and Hilton rewards member but for my money I would go with the Hilton properties.
