Beautiful hotel! It has a great fitness center! There is a pool on the roof just outside the fitness center, but no hot tub. They charge extra for WiFi and there isn't a free continental breakfast. The bed was really comfortable!

Great and friendly staff. Not too far away from the French Quarter and Bourbon Street.Beautiful lay out inside hotel. This is a top notch hotel. The room we had was absolutely amazing because it was over looking Canal St. Great comfortable bed and amazing bathroom area. My wife and I will be staying there again soon for sure.

This is the second time I've stayed, and both times have been great. I travel for work, and always try to book the JW if it's within our price range. The location is perfect, being on canal and the edge of the french quarter. It's close enough to walk to anything in minutes, but you avoid the chaos of actually trying to sleep in the middle of the quarter. The hotel itself is very nice, above and beyond service from all staff, and the executive lounge is one of the nicer ones I've ever been in.

Hotels beautiful that's close to it where all the action is IE Bourbon Street. Although I didn't leave the hotel that much I had everything I needed here I did take a short walk through the fun area but I was here for business. I would have to say I highly recommend this hotel.

I wish I could give them zero stars. Construction at all hours within the hotel. Woke me up at 6am. Construction went all day until 8pm. Concierge wasn't at front desk for hours. Got room service and they brought me expired chunky milk. Such utter shit

I was just in New Orleans for Memorial Weekend 2018. Housekeeping could use some training. In the rooms the beds were made and towels changed but, the floors were never vacuumed or cleaned nor were the tubs and toilets. Hair was all over the place and it was not hair from the people that rented the room. The noise of the construction was unbearable although they gave earplugs. If not necessary do not rent a car as parking is 53.00 a day and everything in the Quarters is within walking distance. (Use Uber if you must!) They do not tell you what the price of parking is for the hotel so, be certain to ask them! Room Service I would not recommend breakfast was awful bacon, egg, toast $29+ and it was the worse. I know Marriott carries high value for some but, explore other options for the price its not worth it. Lastly the guest with me was bitten multiple times by bugs inside the room! # 2116

It was an AMAZING experience. Good rooms, center of the French district in New Orleans... obviously. Good stuff around. 8th floor is okay, because it has a gym, pool and other you might need or want on vacation. Tall building. Parking is okay, has valet service. Quite pricey... about 200 dollars per day.

Interior and room were fine, nothing special. The restaurant and bar weren't all that good, but there are plenty of places nearby anyway. Location is easy to get to and within walking distance of just about everything. You do get some noise from the streetcars if you are on the Canal St facing side, and the walls are pretty thin. We could hear the phone conversation from the room next door.

Extremely nice, with quiet, clean rooms, and friendly staff. Much nicer than I expected. The restaurant that adjoins the lobby, Fogo de Chao, is an exceptional Brazilian steakhouse, and serves a very high quality breakfast buffet as well. I would definitely stay there again.

no hot water for bathing. ripped and torn robes. upsold second room when initial reservation room, for gold member, much too small. needed wheelchair for injured daughter. new wheelchairs require second person for each use, as they are not self usable. none available. rethinking my Marriot membership. checked out within 24 hours and found another hotel. did New York, Chicago, and Ft. Lauderdale. much better.

Complete rip-off for a "boutique hotel" experience. Small rooms, not much better than a budget hotel but at three times the rate...they don't even give you Wi-Fi at $440/night!

Small, low grade home depot bathroom...

All around a terrible value. They aren't even in the same league with other boutique hotels.

The staff is however friendly and helpful. I'd rather stay at a Hampton Inn for a larger and similar room with free Wi-Fi at least.

Beautiful hotel, well located. Front desk staff was wonderful getting us checked in and nothing but positive experiences with valet and bell staff. The rooms were spacious and bathrooms clean. The hotel bar and lounge was classy and it appeared they had a couple macbooks setup for a fantasy draft.

Very convenient as it was close to the Mississippi River and the Marriot had it's own station for the on- off tours throughout the city. The concierge lounge was also amazing, so I would recommend you booking a room on the 6th floor. The only bad part was the pool. There was a very minimal amount of towels and they barely heated the pool up. Even though it was 60 degrees outside, it was still freezing cold in the pool.

Have stayed at many Marriotts and was a little disappointed in this one. The staff/service was friendly and great, but the rooms were average at best. The lounge was nothing special. Dessert is served until 10, I think. Stopped down around 8 and heard an employee telling a guest that all the desserts were gone, was a little surprised. Will try a different Marriott next time I am in NO.

Great, clean hotel with nice executive lounge. Outstanding gym with plenty of machines and a lot of space. Location is very convenient, can walk to basically everything. Valet parking too expensive for my taste.

I come out to NOLA several times a year, it is my favorite city to visit in the US. I usually come alone & stay with my local friends. The trip I made in May was the first time bringing my boyfriend & his first time in NOLA. So I wanted to REALLY show him the city I love.

We decided to stay around the French Quarter for the full experience. And I was going back and forth over so many hotel options. I always enjoy staying at the Marriott & their guest service is ALWAYS great, so when I saw that the JW was available and for a military rate, well there was no way I was gonna pass it up!

From the minute we arrived with the attentive & personable bellmen & front desk clerks, to the day we left, we were VERY impressed. The doormen were very polite & professional, and charming & funny. Alfred was running the show most of the time we were there & he did it with ease & style.

The front desk clerks were very knowledgeable & helpful in offering suggestions, maps & directions on things to do. Between the front desk & doormen, you could run your own tour company out of the lobby! We would head out for breakfast & then come in in time to change & get ready & make it out for dinner. Every time coming & going the staff would ask us specifically about our day, they remembered where we had planned on going & seeing. That little extra touch really stands out & does not go unrecognized (even when they are teasing my boyfriend about always wearing his 49ers hats) :)

The day we were leaving I had called housekeeping to get the information on the wonderful pillows they use. I spoke to Jasmine from housekeeping. She gave me in name & website of the pillows and also told me where I could find everything in the little black book in our room. Then she had asked me if I was getting ready to leave. At first I thought it was because it was almost check out time, so I told her we had a late check out & then we got off the phone.

Maybe 10 mins later Jasmine comes to the room with 2 brand new pillows to give to me & my boyfriend. She said she asked her boss Jessica if it was ok, and then she brought them to us. This was such an unexpected & pleasant surprise, and Jasmine was so sweet & funny in person, too.

When I told her we had just carried on our stuff & didn't have room to accept the pillows, without missing a beat she offered to mail them to us. We gave her our address & then we checked out shortly afterwards. We received the pillows 2 days later to our house! It was not only a sweet gesture, but a great follow up just as Jasmine had said.
We did not utilize any services from the hotel other than the staff to ask for recommendations. But I can say that our rooms as well as the common areas were always very clean and well maintained.

I had to call to thank the hotel personally & I spoke with Monique. I did not want such great guest service to get lost in a review. And from speaking with Monique, you can tell guest service and professionalism runs deep throughout the hotel staff.

This could not have been a better 1st trip to show my boyfriend how warm & welcoming the people of New Orleans are! Thank you to all the JW Marriott staff! We will see ya again soon! (maybe Jazz Fest next year or during football season my usual times) :)

Donovan Miller refused to let us speak to the manager, a guy named George , whose apparent last name we were not allowed to know after waiting in the bar for over 4.5 hours to check in to our room .
When we were finally checked in ; it was long past the 4PM check in time .

My husband and I travel around the world and this is by far the worst experience we have ever had with hotel staff

PROS: Beautiful rooms with a convenient Canal street location. CONS: $40 a night parking. The lobby bar is gorgeous but the staff are only capable of basic drinks at best and they're absurdly expensive. They charged me a whopping $35 for a Rob Roy. I did request Lagavulin 16...but $35 for a poorly mixed drink? A good hotel but choose wisely.

The hotel rooms were fine, but the doormen were exceptionally rude, complaining about having to open the doors for individuals in my party a few times in a row as we we were checking out and getting our luggage. The doormen need to get their act together.
