Love it here!! New, modern, cool, and beautiful! Great location on Canal Street and easy to navigate from and to anywhere you need to go! Hotel staff was amazingly helpful and super friendly during our entire visit and treated us like royalty the whole time. And the room was fantastic. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this hotel if you're planning a new trip to New Orleans. 10 stars!!

Really great location, steps from the French Quarter and Bourbon Street. Streetcar stop nearby. Rooms are spacious with a nice view. Staff were accommodating and lovely. I didn't love the amount of light coming in under the door from the hallway, but that's the only nitpick!

We loved the location and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had the perfect room. Alfred C. made our trip and excellent doesn't say enough about how he went out of his way to make sure we had a great stay. Ask for Alfred he gets things done!

One of the best hotels I've stayed at. Beautiful rooms and amazing customer service from both the front desk and valet. Great recommendations on places around the area to try as well. If you want to stay in New Orleans, I recommend this amazing hotel to make your stay worth while.

I visited my friend who was staying here. Obviously very high quality hotel with excellent service. Lots of staff to ask for assistance. My friend says that she will only stay at this hotel. I don't think it's cheap though. I'm more of a value traveler.

Decent JW Marriott. Executive lounge has games and is well served, however lack of 24hr access even without staff present is rather restrictive. Service without questions, but a tad slow.

Brought our family of five (3 young boys) for one night stay and I wish it were for five nights!
The staff was excellent! Amenities were excellent. Executive club is great! Concierge made a perfect family seafood restaurant suggestion considering it was a super busy night (Saints playoff game).
From the valet to the front desk (Patrick Leblanc) to the bar staff to everyone - the company should be aware of this property.
Great location - walking distance to bourbon street, Jackson square, plenty around etc.
FYI parking can be pricey at all hotels.
We certainly plan to return.

Marriott came through as always JW is one of the top M
Hotel's around. But I have to say their in room Lotions and the bath gels are aroma therapy and they stink to high heaven. People who are sensitive to smell who have a problem with this. I know that seems petty but you want something that smells great when you seen a luxurious hotel not Something that smells like bath and body works

Perfectly fine for a conference hotel, but a few annoying details. First, there are only 4 smallish elevators for 25 floors. Always a long wait and you end up taking the next one. Also: $12/night for wifi. Huge turnoff. Some weirder ones- the sink in my room didn't face the mirror, so I had to crank my head the entire time I shaved. Also, for the 8th floor conference rooms, the bathrooms are IN the rooms instead of the hall. Why?

I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED my stay at the JW Mariott in New Orleans. I had one of the reimagined rooms - a corner room. The bed was comfortable and I LOVED the glass/tile shower (rain shower head) ... sigh ... i didnt want to leave my room! OH, and there was a smart TV. It's in a great location on Canal Street. I would definitely go back.

We arrived at 7pm and it took almost 2 hours to "get our rooms ready" that we had reserved for a week. Took another hour to get our baggage because when we checked in our baggage while we were waiting on our room "to be ready" they just put it in the storage room without checking it in. Now it's Saturday morning and they are doing loud construction on the room next door. Called the front desk and all they are doing to help is take off $5 of our room. Terrible experience, terrible hotel. Rather of stayed at motel 6. Also, the "queen" size bed is really just a full size bed. Tiny rooms.

My check in process was disappointing. I arrived at 3. I was told my room wasn t ready but would be ready in 20 min and they had put a rush on it and contact me when it was ready. I check back at 4 still no room. They told me it would be another hour and they would notify me. 6 pm rolls around with no contact. I went back to the front desk and was able to finally get in to my room. Really frustrating after a day of traveling and all of my companions having their rooms. Rooms were clean new and stylish though. Do not expect plain coffee in your room. No coffee maker, just an espresso machine. Which is not what I want in the morning.

My best friend got married here and it was so beautiful. Even the entrance is amazing. I got to spend the day in a 2 level suite on the 30th floor. It had a great view, amazingly high windows and a huge bathroom. We enjoyed the coffee bar and friendly staff.

I've stayed at a lot of different Marriott's, but this was my first time staying at a JW. First off, staff was excellent. However, the hotel rooms were very outdated and not in great condition. Because of this, there was construction going on in the rooms directly above this. I wasn't told at booking, but I was told at check in that construction noise would be 10am-5pm. First morning the construction started at 8am... Maybe once they finish renovations it will be good, but definitely not worth the price for a JW.

This hotel is in the heart of New Orleans on Canal Street! The location is amazing AND the room stays quiet even at night when the streets are so lively. The room was the perfect amount of space for my husband and I, the only suggestion would to have been to expand the bathroom and shower into the "living room" space. It was a bit on the smaller spectrum, but the layout of the room is a bit more unique so it had a nice flow nonetheless. We ordered room service because we arrived late and it was delicious! The gumbo was AWESOME! The food arrived in a timely matter and the employee who delivered it to us was insanely kind! Everyone who worked there was so kind! I don't know if it is just the South, or the customer service training, but either way it was so awesome!
We would definitely stay here again!!

We are the Archie's! We stayed during Mardi Gras 2019.

Love...Love...Love!! Omar works at the front desk! He is very knowledgeable about the area. He is the best. He was very accommodating from the first to the last day! He is a great asset to
JW Marriott. He informed me of how the entire establishment is a recent remodel , including employees breakroom
I told him it truly means alot to me to hear that because a company that takes great care of their employees will take great care of its customers / guests. He then expressed his this is Marriott's philosophy....when they take great care of their employees; their employees will take great care of their guests.

Excellence!! Pure excellence.

Oh my goodness, the location is PERFECT for every and anything!! You can enjoy and take great pics of Mardi Gras parade from your room or go to the bottom level and find that you are right on point , in location as it passes by on Canal Street or even if it changes direction you are still the first on the spot without leaving the hotel. I love it.
We even have our favorite room.....sshhh..cannot tell tgat one.....we are definitely coming back real soon!! Making reservation today!

Hurry in before the world's greatest bartender Debra retire.......before Nardi Gras 2020. We will be here! The bar/ restaurant is the BEST. All types of fabulous foods. Even if you want to venture out......everything is a short walking trip distance...riverwalk , Bourbon Street, convention centers. All types of restaurants and bars......and all street parties.

This a green hotel. Even got recycle cans in room. You have the option for maid service. You really will find you will lot need an everyday. The rooms are huge and very well stocked

Valet service is top notch. No hassle to get your car for any reason. Bellhop does not lack any from the total excellence you receive.

A fantastic hotel. Very clean, upscale rooms. I love staying here, but I can rarely find a discounted room. It's usually out of my budget, so a solid alternative has been the other Marriott on Canal St (also nice, but not on the level of the JW).

Regardless, JW Marriott is a great luxury hotel in a perfect location. If you can score a deal or are filthy rich, I highly recommend.

CONSTRUCTION. The room was nice. CONSTRUCTION. Very convenient to the French Quarter. CONSTRUCTION. 9 am construction, 6 pm construction. There was no mention of construction when booking and I would not have booked if I knew. Shame on them for not warning us.

Housekeeping was great, so was the rest of the service. Room as clean with a decent view. Having to pay for internet in your room is not so great. Quick breakfast at the lobby bar could use a few more items.

We just returned from our trip to New Orleans and stayed at the JW Marriott, just like last year. However the experience was not a good one. We smelled marijuana through the vents when they turned on and my iPhone was stolen by an employee right out of my room. You would think staying at a higher end place and paying double to stay there than a regular hotel, that things like this wouldn't happen. We informed them of the issue and they did not compensate us at all. We even tried to stay another day due to our entire last day dealing with my cell phone issue, and they wouldn't even discount one night, they still wanted to charge us $250. No one apologized what so ever nor did anything to try and help us or compensate us. All they said is that a claim would be opened. Just terrible customer service! The hotel itself is nice and in a good location which is close to everything, but you are not safe in this hotel. Please make sure to lock everything up in the safe is staying here. Corporate will be told about this and we will never be staying here again.
