Ask for two queen size, and only got one. And they try to make it up by bringing a single person mattress that was clearly cheap, because it stayed sunken in when someone sat on it for an extensive time. And only one car was allowed in the parking garage. Had to park couple of blocks away.

Convenient location, valet attendants are awesome, front desk check-in was welcoming, informative and attentive. Walking distance to great restaurants, great shows and it didn't hurt that the weather was great during our visit. J.W. Marriott made our 11th anniversary even more special.

This was my first time at this hotel and it is my last stay. The price of the roomchanged on us at the front desk due incentdal fee.. Are you serious paying all this money for a small room plus a horrible view. The beds were so small, and the bathroom was even smaller. It seems like it was made for a tiny tiny person.
The bed linens were not clean the and the flat sheet had holes in them. Also called down for our vehicle to be at front (25 minutes before we went down) once down stairs we stood in a line for 25 mins making us late for the concert. I am not happy with hotel at all.

The rooms were very clean, modern, spacious and comfortable! The main lobby and hall, were also very modern and quiet, and offered fresh fruits, pastries and beverages for guests daily. There was a very large exercise room with new equipment, and a nice saltwater pool outside. The hotel is located on Canal St overlooking the French Quarter, and a very short walk to attractions like Jackson Square, Bourbon Street, the Mississippi River, etc. Every employee I met during my stay was very happy, friendly, and helpful! Overall it was a very good experience!

Great location in New Orleans just far enough away to be relaxing with a quick walk down to the action. The staff was extremely helpful and I will be staying again on future trips. Great hotel well worth the price.

The staff was fantastic and very accommodating. Location was convenient to both the FQ and Garden District. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Those who are complaining about room sizes maybe have never stayed in older hotels? Granted the rooms were not huge, but they were adequate.

Undergoing a remodel that is needed. Everything in the rooms is worn out and dated. The construction is during the afternoon and is very noisy. Great hotel with a very friendly staff. Wait until the remodeling is finished to stay though.

Nice place... Everything works, it's clean and not moldy, which can be an issue in humid environments. For a busy place, it also seems relatively quiet, no mean feat. Elevators were sometimes deathly slow.

Good gym, good bar, good. So called heated pool was small, always freezing despite complaints and only one side had sun past noon and that only to about 2pm. Rooms tired and cramped. Not the usual JW quality. On checkin as a platinum member I asked if an upgrade was possible and was told I was upgraded. Unfortunately I had to point out it was the room I had booked. They then proceeded to give me a room without the view I paid for and had to go down again and be moved. Next room was better but only what had paid for.

Room was smaller than expected, but clean and tidy. Very professional staff made it feel warm and welcome. Water pressure was a little low and the air conditioning was not cool enough, but that was the only complaints.

Beautiful hotel complete with multiple flaws. Zero water pressure in the shower and no hot water. Called for assistance and a service man promptly came up. After trying to fix it, he told us that all rooms ending in 11&12 we're having this issue. Nearly an hour later we were given a different room to shower in. Called for the car from valet, car came 25 minutes later. Completely unacceptable. Executive lounge food mediocre compared to other Marriott locations. Great location but for the cost was definitely sub-par. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Terrible hotel. Would never stay here again. I was robbed by the maids, they took jewelry that can't be replaced. Management did not seem to care at all and offered no resolution. The beds were hard and extremely uncomfortable. The rooms were subpar, definitely not worth the money. Don't waste your money here just anywhere else.

Awesome is how my husband and I would describe my daughter s wedding at the JW Marriott in NOLA on Oct. 13, 2018.
As the Mother of the bride and bridal coordinator, my experience with planning seemed awkward when we had to work with several different people due to promotions or change of jobs. However, it was a blessing that I ended up with a team that made my daughter s wedding one that would be remembered from a lifetime. The venue, food, handling of beverage service was first class. The staff not only knew intricacies of planning events, but also making everyone (bride, groom, parents and guest) feel welcomed during the entire stay.
Special thanks to Rhonda Murray (event manager), and her staff: Tory Lewis (set-up person), Schawanda Small (Bride/Grooms personal asst.), Shon Prior, Derrick Williams (beverages) & his staff, and our outstanding Chef Ricardo and his staff for the delicious food.
Ann Elise did not fail on her promises as she passed the torch. My Daughter & Son-in Law s dreams were executed at the JW Marriot NOLA.

You will not be disappointed!!!

Enjoyed our stay here from Jan 19 through 18th. Right across the street is the French Quarter, so an easy walk to Bourbon, Royal, and other famous streets. TONS of great places to eat. We ate across the street from the Cornstalk Hotel, a hotel made famous from the Elvis Movie "King Creole". Back to the JW Marriott, it has a nice breakfast restaurant with tv's and complementary snacks for afternoon visits. Also a main lobby bar and restaurant (great burger!), and also a Fogo de Chao in the downstairs lobby. Beds were very comfy, and rooms spacious.

Such a nice hotel! The rooms are wonderful, staff extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious. Pool was being worked on during our stay but we had option to use the other Marriott pool on Canal. Will be back again when in area

Hotel was good. Would have given another star, but upon leaving for airport had issues with Car Valet employees. Valet employee became rude and hostile with my Lyft driver. He shouted profanity and was pretty much ready to fight my Lyft driver. I was very disappointed in seeing this kind of behavior at a place like JW Marriott. There were two guest cars checking in and blocking the driveway. There s enough room for two lanes and both these cars were blocking it all. My Lyft driver and I waited pretty patiently, mind you I need to get to the airport. Two cars or more were now behind us as well and they started honking. At this point my Lyft driver got out of the car to ask if they could at least fix the cars in a way that we could get out and the valet employee starts becoming disrespectful and hostile. He tells me what is he supposed to do when they are both checking in. Here s a solution move the cars out of the way that doesn t block the whole path. How is that so hard? At this point the Lyft driver is upset and goes inside to find someone to talk to. Now they finally move the cars and says he needs to go as he is blocking the way. What? That s what we were just trying to do in the first place. I m was just trying to get to the airport. Please have some more training for the valet employees especially on how to better handle situations. It would not have hurt to rearrange the cars to not block everyone s way and we could have avoided all this.

Excellent location just steps from the French quarter. Friendly bellman, concierge and front desk staff. Rooms could use an update but are in decent shape. Nice pool- never crowded. Could use a bit of soundproofing between rooms because you can hear neighbours very easily. Had a very pleasant stay and would recommend the hotel.

The hotel is very clean. The pool is right next to the gym. I used the gym three times during my stay and machines were always available. The hotel is located in a good location so you do not have to deal with the Bourbon crowds at night.

Be sure to double check your invoice prior to checking out. My invoice had two night charges that were pre-paid. The staff did remove them once I pointed it out.

The hotel is ideal for children. Finally, my wake up call was timely.

The check-in was great. I like that it's on the back street which allows for ease of unloading and parking. The facility is immaculately kept. The room and the view is very nice. They have a grab and go breakfast station in the lobby and Marriott Rewards members get internet for free. Score!

Great Location. Check-in was amazing, Room was a really nice size for one or two people. They don't pressure you for housekeeping. When they say they will come back, they actually do. The room was cleaned perfectly!!!! Nice view of the city with a last minute registrations. Also, the late checkout was PERFECT. 8 Stars if I could!!

First night at Marriott. Check in was great and concierge staff has been nothing but excellent; accommodating and extremely patient. Quite put off though with housekeeping which may have been insulted by a small token ($5) left for work that had yet to be done; I like to leave something everyday to make sure every housekeeper receive something. When returned from sightseeing no fresh towels in bathroom. Called for washcloths and was brought up cloths that had the appearance of being soiled (based on what I saw). Called them back to return linen Not a good start. 4 more nights to go; will keep you abreast.

The customer service for Marriott was very disappointing. When I booked the reservation I was told we had a 50% parking discount. When we got out bill it was not reflected. Called and they told me go to front desk and called customer service both of which told me that there was a discount for parking but it was not on my reservation. The lady at the front desk of the hotel was very unpleasant and not helpful. I asked for her manager and she told me she was upstairs. I asked if she could get her and she said "I guess". Besides the terrible customer service, we called to get our car out of valet and it took almost 45 minutes. We went to 5... yes 5...different floors to find an ice machine that worked. I thought Marriott was known for their beds, out bed was terribly uncomfortable. If this is the quality of Marriott now, we will never stay at one again.
