I've never seen a motel with so much courtious staff that really seemed to love their job. So helpful and polite. Their hiring manager knows what they are doing. Spotless and clean throughout! What a wonderful stay!

Beautiful room with amazing views. Also, I used the shampoo that the hotel provided and my hair has been amazing! I need to find out what kind of shampoo they use so I can buy some when I get home.

After staying at the JW Marriott in Houston, we were eager to try this New Orleans location. Its was almost everything we expected. Valet parking attendants were helpful and friendly. Front desk personnel were inviting and eager to accommodate. The interior was modern and appealing. The room (standard) was neat and clean with nice modern touches. Loved the bench seat by the window. The sliding barn style door on the bathroom was a neat feature. ----- Minus one star for... The bed was much too soft and we felt as if we were sleeping on a head down slope. The TV was mounted crooked and off center. Once you notice, you cant un-notice.

It has been a blast staying at the JW. Only downer was that you had to be executive level to get breakfast. The rooms were amazing and the staff were fabulous. I would love to stay here again. Thanks for a wonderful stay

The hotel is really nice and it's in a great location for walking to other New Orleans attractions. The staff is extremely considerate and professional. The room service food is great as well.

Pool out of commission and deck closed. Hotel made lower quality hotel across busy street available as a substitute. Staff asked to be understanding of situation. I didn't stay at a JW to be understanding. Very inconvenient.

This was a really nice hotel, with a very accommodating staff. We had initially booked a King and had 4 people in the room. They switched us to two queens no problem. The executive lounge had a better than average breakfast. Smoked salmon, fresh fruit, espresso machine! I would consider staying here if you are in New Orleans, as the location is perfect!

Great room and staff. Luckily everything you need is close by because if you buy from the tiny store they have, it will cost you an arm and a leg. Walk to CVS it's much cheaper. The only other thing I would say is be careful in the shower, I am not sure if our room just needed new grip tape in the tub but is was dangerously slippery.

The greeting and departure service was appalling. I often travel throughout the year both for business and pleasure and as such have become accustomed to the standards of hotel service. This hotel falls among the short list of the most ungrateful and unacceptable. Blossom, the front desk receptionist, seemingly went out of her way to make myself and my guests feel unappreciated and unwanted by arguing with room requests (I requested a double room after confirming that one was available and was made to feel "needy" and difficult because of my request). At departure, I was met with the same contempt as this receptionist refused to process my checkout, passing me along to another receptionist thereby increasing my unwelcomed experience.

I have heard good things about Marriott's standards of customer care, unfortunately I did not receive such care during my stay. He greeting and departure experience is the first and last impression of a hotel. It is was is remembered by patrons. I will forever remember my stay here as undesirable. I would not recommend this hotel, there are so many more in New Orleans to choose from.

Our room was super nice. We got a good price on the room during Mardi Gras. It was convenient and located right in the middle of everything we needed. Everything was in walking distance from Bourbon street to the casino. I would highly recommend staying here if your in New Orleans.

DO NOT STAY HERE. I travel often and this is by far the worst customer service and dirtiest hotel. When we first came down for a birthday//girls weeks for 5 girls we requested two rooms 3 months in advance. I called that morning to double check and was told that both room were good I also let them know that we were coming in late. When we arrived there were no longer any more double beds. So we stayed in a king for the night with the promise of moving us to two double the following day. We called the next morning as the front suggested and they said that we would be moved. When we came downstairs the front desk was very rude. She stated there was no possible way i spoke to a gentleman because no men worked downstairs but keep in mind i checked in the night before with a male. She then proceeded to tell me that I was using a friend of Employee Rate and I get what i get. Basically insinuating that we were lucky we even received a room- that we booked months in advance. REGARDLESS, if I was on a friends rate we should not have been treated like we didn't deserved to be there. We paid just as much. At this point we wanted to just endure the rest of the weekend and make it work. We asked for a roll away bed which we called 5 times for with no apologies for any delays. It finally arrives around 2 am when we asked around 10 am that morning. The gentleman said that it doesn't come with blankets and to look in the closet. We looked in the closet and unwrapped a blanket covered in hair and body fluid stains. They dont seem to clean their sheets and just roll it up when its done being used..... We called downstairs to request a blanket and again no apology was given. JW is suppose to be a higher brand but it was like sleeping in a motel. Which frankly a Motel has better customer service. I would never stay here again. Im not one for writing reviews being in a customer service field and usually very understanding but this was a very bad experience one i couldn't ignore.

Great location. I did not use the pool but even though it wasn't that big it looked nice. Decent fitness center. Was there for a meeting. Their meeting rooms are quite large. Only complaint was they were very cold. Not shy on the air conditioning. Great lobby area. Nice staff.

Beautiful hotel, lovely front deck service and fogo, the connected Brazilian restaurant PHENOMENAL! However, there was an incident of cash went missing from my purse within a hours of being put for Christmas eve and Christmas day. No real resolution from management and just a simple statement that the camera's didn't show much. Truly disappointment from an elite hotel. Guess I am taking an Loss with this one.

We were not satisfied with our stay at this hotel, it seemed overpriced with subpar accommodations. We didn't have a great view, no continental breakfast, with an OK staff. We didn't feel we got what we paid for!

Good room with good view of the city cute bar the only thing we did not like was the pool was not very clean had a bit of mold, the floor slips has no service to call by phone to bring something you also did not have music although there were speakers ...

We had a corner king suite that was attractive, spacious, and quite comfortable. The JW Matriott toiletries are great and our housekeeper, Sonia de P., blessed it every morning with sweet spirit as she tidied up after us. She made our stay super special and deserves a raise!
The location was convenient to everything we wanted to see and do while also being a quiet respite from the lively French Quarter. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. We loved our stay and will book at the JW whenever possible.

This hotel advertises that it is being renovated and completed by fall 2018. Thank goodness, because it needs it just as badly as Jade's threadbare, ill-fitting uniform (although he was very pleasant and helpful, I'm sure it's not his fault the uniform is a tragedy.) The curtains are tattered and torn, the bed was lumpy and painful, the pillows were horrendous, the blanket too hot and lumpy (how old does it have to be to get like that?!) Even the bathrobe was threadbare! Lord have mercy, if any hotel ever needed an update, it's this one. I would NOT consider this luxury, although I'm sure the renovations will fix that. You have to use your room-key card to use the elevator (why did no one tell me this?!) Great location though! Normally I'd have photos but there wasn't a single photo-worthy thing about this place. Maybe the lobby. No one stays at a hotel because it has a nice lobby. It's the room that counts, as well as the bathroom (theres hardly room to open/shut the door and can't hold more than one more person at a time.

We enjoyed our stay here. The room is comfortable and clean.
The complimentary breakfast was great, lots of fruits, oatmeal cook very nicely and I liked their smoked salmon very much.

Kept changing our rooms on different floors...promised us a bigger room each time, but it just turned out to either be smaller or not the room we requested to begin with...they compensated the Hassel with complimentary breakfast...which kind of eased off the stress of playing floor tag the room

This hotel was by far the best hotel that I've ever stayed in. I stayed there for a convention. My room was on the 20th floor and it was gorgeous. The hallway was nice and quiet and the service was excellent.

Great location!. Busses and trolly stops just oitside. Bourbon St, Jackson Square, Decatur and the river all within a short walk. The woman who checked us in was not to friendly. The pool was closed and they just kept saying it would open tomorrow but we were there for six days and no pool. They did offer use of a Marriott pool across the street. This is a nice hotel.

Convenient location... walkable to the waterfront, bourbon St, french quarter. Rooms are a bit smaller than expected - there is limited space to put your clothes if you like to unpack your things - no drawers aside from the nightstand. The conference areas are ok and the food is ok. The elevators can get crowded and sometimes stop at every other floor. The outside noise is sporadic. There's construction inside the hotel and a lot of traffic noise like emergency vehicles, horns, unmuffled engines comes in if you're facing canal St. Overall ok stay so far.

The hotel is very clean. The pool is right next to the gym. I used the gym three times during my stay and machines were always available. The hotel is located in a good location so you do not have to deal with the Bourbon crowds at night.

Be sure to double check your invoice prior to checking out. My invoice had two night charges that were pre-paid. The staff did remove them once I pointed it out.

I enjoy returning to the JW in New Orleans. The rooms are well maintained and clean. The staff is awesome, the best I experience as a business traveler. I enjoy the Club Lounge and of course the Bar and restaurant. One thing to point out, my wife and I thought we were stuck without Airport transportation during Mardi Gras. All Limos services online, would not take reservations. Our JW Concierge Andrew M. could tell we were worried and he took care of everything. I gave my info to him, he figured out road closures and a Limo Service. I received a text 30 minutes later while at a parade, Andrew took care of everything.
Thank you JW
