Excellent customer service, however the pool and gym were not available. There is an additional $50 per day parking fee we were no aware of.

Nice hotel with clean rooms and great service. The executive lounge food offerings are a bit of a disappointment.
The rooms were clean and the service was great. Overall, I had a nice experience at the JW. The hotel could benefit from a bit of updating though.
I stay at this JW Marriot when ever I come to NOLA. The hotel is great and the staff is very professional friendly. The valet guys (not Marriott Employees) are just as friendly and welcoming as the Hotel staff.
The rooms are clean and setup for both business travelers and NOLA visitors. The corner rooms on high floors facing Canal St are the best for views of the city.
The gym is great. Several machines, free weights, and exercise equipment. Includes a decent pool for tanning and swimming.
Ate at Fogo de Chao located within the J.W. Marriott..... Pricey but it is a nice experience...not every cut of the unlimited meats is a winner and the appetizer table leaves a lot to be desired for a place in this price range but you can get as much as you like of what you do end up liking.....the limeade for very good as well as the desserts. Nice overall experience and very good service.
Just ate at the restaurant but had a great time and very nice place.
Typical, freezing conference rooms with overpriced, crappy service that you get at every Marriott. I am going to continue to prayer those who hold conferences to STOP HOLDING THEM AT MARRIOTT HOTELS!!!
I booked my room through priceline and was very impressed. A little upset that I found out valet was 45 dollars last minute for overnight, but everything else was amazing.
Great place to be during vacations and trip. Very clean and well kept.
Really good place to stay. Convenient, comfortable, elegant.
Stayed at the JW Marriot New Orleans while in town for a conference. Room was great, staff was friendly and very helpful. We were able to get good recommendations for places to eat nearby. When we ordered room service the food came fresh and right when we requested it.
Beautiful hotel! We loved our week at this hotel. Centrally located and super safe, the staff and valet team were awesome. The beds were super comfortable!
Check in took 25 minutes. No free internet. Tub in shower did not drain well. Elevators are under maintenance and took 25 minutes to get on one going up instead to come downstairs. Only valet parking and told it would take 1 hour to get car. Toilet ran in Mom's room. TV didn't work in the president's suite bedroom where my brother stayed. On the other hand staff was very friendly and there is a storage room to put stuff after checkout.
Phony gift shop charges for 10:30pm when I wasn't even at the hotel at that time. Was told I need to speak with someone in accounting. I have left 2 voicemails with no returned calls. Have been on hold for 30 minutes today with no response yet. What a waste of my time!
I stayed here with my service dog very nice rooms overpriced but nice
From what I saw in the Lobby, it is like staying at the bordello
The rooms and the staff were Amazing. The meeting (conference) spaces and the elevator service were horrid. I would definitely stay there again if not for the elevator and conference space issues.
Clean, quiet, chic. Good experience. No complaints.
This place had excellent staff, very professional and very hard-working. Everyone seemed like they enjoyed their job, and enjoyed helping people. We got an outrageously over-the-top upgrade, and loved every minute of it.
The wait staff tending to our conference were spectacular. Everyone working there was pleasant and helpful.
Great hotel, service reception, location, food. Fab
Really nice place. Staff was friendly, rooms were really clean. There was also good food available
Wonderful staff greeted and guided us through the hotel. Rooms are very nice and were kept clean every day by housekeeping. Hotel was located on canal, very convenient for all the places I needed to go.
The location is the Best in NOLA on Canal Street. My visit was very nice and the staff was professional.
Good place to stay near every ware in the French Quarter
Very nice hotel with comfortable rooms.
I stayed in a room with a king bed. Loved how there was an empty mini fridge, allowing me to store drinks conveniently. My bathroom had a shower, but I really appreciated the fact that there was an installed foot rest in the shower, allowing for easy leg shaving, something I usually find quite difficult in similar hotel showers. Towels were a bit rough.
The room was fairly quiet, but you could hear other rooms playing with the odd shade configurations in the rooms. Overall, fairly comfortable and conveniently located to restaurants and attractions.
Great staff and clean rooms. Stayed on the 14th and 20th floors and did not hear road noise. Executive Lounge was fantastic.
The staff at this JW Marriott was exceptional!, they were very polite & provided helpful knowledge regarding the city. House cleaning did a good job of keeping the room clean, and left us notes that were a nice touch.
My only complaint for the room was the gap under the door. We could somewhat stick our fingers under the gap, which led to the hallway noise occasionally during the night
We attended a wedding there and the staff were excellent. The decor was great, the only complaint I had was that the lobby smelled funky. They took care of the problem promptly.
Staff very helpful and friendly. The rooms clean. Housekeeping staff very accommodating to guest. Loved this place.
The JW Marriott is now arguably the best hotel in the New Orleans French Quarter area. Newly renovated and top notch quality and amenities everywhere you look. The moment you step inside the door is opened for you and you are welcomed in. This place oozes high class everywhere you look. The rooms are loaded with extras you just dont find at most other area hotels like glass cups, safe in room, fridge in room, shower head plus 2nd hand wand shower head. Shower foot rests, barn door glass shower doors, soft bed and down pillows, large LED TV with internet apps like Netflix, Hulu, and YouTube. They also have a fantastic top notch gym free for guests. If you are a gold or platinum Marriott you get access to the concierge room which has free breakfast, coffee/latte/capichino maker, bottled water and soda and snacks all day, tons of games like Clue, checkers etc, and a pool table open until 10pm. The location is perfect with a easy walk to bourbon street and all the rest of the french quarter has to offer. You do not need a car here at all. If you do drive, expect to pay a lot to park your car around $40 a day.
For a city hotel its okay pool is small rooms are okay notbu ing special. You need a key card to go anywhere which I understand but they never read on the first try so its just clumsy. I was also not impressed with the staff our room was never cleaned I had to call and request it every night. They also didnt respect kids or younger people as much
Great location. Very pricey. Not as comfortable bedding as some other Marriott's
Stayed here many times, no problems even during Mardi Gras
High end interior and refreshed rooms are extremely comfortable and well laid out. Highly recommend it for a comfortable stay in New Orleans.
The room is not ready at 4:15pm. People behind me are getting rooms but I don't know why my room is not ready. Very unprofessional.
Service, atmosphere, and amenities were great. Can't beat the location off of Canal street either. Only downfall would be the quality of the bed. It wasn't awful, but we could tell it wasn't the newest.
Beautiful Spa, Lobby, Rooms with a View, great Conference location, small wedding... Right on Canal Street, two blocks from Bourbon! Perfect!
When we arrived for our pre paid rooms our credit card was charged an adiddional $100 - not pre authorized charged.
Well then I tried to get a hold of them and it was not possible to get a refund. There was construction going on all day and we were not informed
Great location right on Canal Street, nice clean and quiet room, but AC was unresponsive. Marriott gave us extra points for the trouble. Recent renovations came out well.
Very good location, under a little bit of reconstruction
Very clean hotel, comfortable bed, clean sheets and bathroom
JW is nice if not alittle dated. Rooms are decent size but the bathrooms at least in my room was small. The concierge room was fine but offerings were alittle sparse compares to some JWs. The hotel is well located and near Bourbon street. There are some restaurants near the hotel.
WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE EVER!! MY wallet was STOLEN by room service, and management did absolutely nothing. Lost prevention was the only one who helped.I had to file a police report and all. It will be weeks before I'm compensated, if I am. I could not even enjoy the rest of my trip. I have to go back home and replace my I'd and social security card. We will never stay again. MANAGEMENT DID NOTHING!!
Great food at Fogo de Chao, awesome atmosphere, and friendly staff
I expected A LOT more from the JW Marriott brand and this hotel sadly does not meet those expectations. While it is New Orleans and I can give a pass on the wear and tear of the rooms, I expect the level of service to make up for those things staying at a "luxury" hotel. Well, unfortunately this hotel did not have anywhere near that level of service. First, housekeeping was mediocre at best. After leaving room all day and returning in the late afternoon, the room wasn't cleaned. No big deal, I was changing for an event and anticipated that it would be cleaned later. Well, I received a knock at 4:30pm, and I asked for 10 minutes to finish changing and leave, to which the response was, "but I get off at 5". That is not exceptional service, and needless to say my room wasn't cleaned. Also, I used the laundry service and was overcharged. I tried to resolve the issue and was assured it would be "taken care of" and that they would remove it from bill. Well, it never happened. On the positive side, the location is great and the concierge was very helpful. Overall, there are far better options in New Orleans and I would look into those before staying here in the future.
Customer service is excellent for revenue generating activities such as valet ($42 per night), concierge was excellent (tip), bell man was great (tip) ..
get to the restaurant Saturday upon arriving back at the hotel and bartender act like it is a chore to provide drinks at $14 per drink and argues with my family member about what she wanted in an old fashion.
.I have work to complete during my visit to the hotel and call the front desk to look for a printer they indicate there is one in the lounge. I am a lounge member and do have platinum membership. The computer keyboard and mouse were caked in sugar and sticky substance I attempted to print research articles and took 15 minutes to print 1 7 page article. Went to utilize the lobby computer, doesn't allow you to print. The platinum desk employee indicated there was a business center on the 3rd floor i get to the third floor and it cost $1.00 per page to print. Also, while at the printers an employee said, "hi" I asked for assistance and she indicated that it sounded like I tried everything.
Stay has been good (3 more days to go), however detail certainly frustrating when business center equipment isn't working as promised/advertised and trying to meet a deadline.
Great location, friendly staff. A bit noisy due to renovation.
The hotel is in a great location, just out of the French Quarter. The room was well appointed and spacious. What makes this hotel special is the people who work here. They were so welcoming and helpful, especially the door staff, they were outstanding.
Service was very good, rooms were clean and the front door staff was excellent. Only issue were two alarms - one at 1:44 am, and both were false.
I had a great experience here. The executive lounge takes care of food and drinks. Stephanie at the desk figured out a way to resolve all my issues. Thank you!
Location is fantastic, service was great. It's a little pricey but well worth it
Unable get early check-in as promised. Finally resolved so stay went well
Would definitely recommend. ....room is fabulous staff are really helpful ad friendly. Great location
I am a titanium with Marriott and I was not pleased with their service or follow through
Perfect location. It is on Canal St. Sean helped us check in and he was such a delightful human being! Dont miss out their Club Lounge!
I came to the JW Marriott for a pedicure appt at the Serenity Spa on the first floor. They couldn't find my appointment and didn't have a pedicurist in that day at all. But they never even asked me if I could come a different day. They just said '...sorry'. All 3 girls on staff didn't offer any actual customer service. Very poorly run business. I'll never return.
The JW Marriott in NOLA is fantastic! The staff is very accommodating and I love the 2 story Suite!
Nice hotel, front desk staff not very friendly. Not The JW Treatment. I don't need to be babied but respect should be mutual.
Always a pleasure to work with these professionals.
Great staff - nice rooms- great amenities located just steps from bourbon street and the French Quarter. Would stay here again.
Room service not so much. $20 burger and over cooked fries
Enjoyed our stay, only 3 stars because just an average hotel. Nothing negative but nothing over and above.
Old facilities, noisy rooms, poor selection of ammenities, expensive WiFi if you are not a member of the BonVoy community. the only thing unbeatable is the location
