Strategic location, everywhere is very easy. Close to shopping centers, close to the motorway. Food is good, place is clean. Tasty and varied food. Large restaurant, can reserve if there is a family event. Food variants are typical Asian, European, Middle Eastern and American. Delicious oxtail soup, salted OK. Can order lobster, crab, shrimp, salmon, other types of fish and various sauces are available. There is live music. Good and friendly service.

I believe this is a good hotel at least in the past when I came here frequently couple years ago. But now it's not quite convenient at the main entrance when you are walking. The security is quite tight and I don't know how to park my bicycle here. Can I fold and carry it with ne inside the hotel? Dunno and I did not want to argue with the guards and therefore I parked my brompton at Oakwood.

I had a bit of mixed feelings with the stay experience. It started out really really bad, with long time of queuing for check in, and other guests were complaining loudly of not getting a room, and once checked in, it turns out they miss out my request from the day before, and after that we were brought to a room for "coffee break" acting as a buffer for additional waiting time of 40 minutes, before the room is finally ready.
I understand that the overwhelming is contributed by the covid-19 situation, but it may as well be a bad hospitality management.

The room however is very spacious and cozy, we got the top floor and the view was amazing. The bathroom is the best part of the room, and I loved the bathtub. Room services is very supportive, but still long waiting time. I also got a cake and room decor for my Birthday.
But the room was not cold, I don't know I think the problem from the AC. I stay for 2 nights, and the experience in the room was okay.

The breakfast in Sailendra is really really crowded. We had to queue in every station, and coming to 10 am, I feel being rushed as they preparing for lunch settings. The taste was regular, not too special, I can compare with FP to say the least.

My final verdict is 3/5,
Since along my stays in Mariott group, especially for a 5-star luxury hotels, this one is the farthest from a seamless experience. I didn't feel any privilege or special services as Gold Member, and I just had a high expectations to spend the long weekend in here. But I appreciate all the kind services and the birthday cake

Nice hotel. Stupid security procedure. I understand that they were bombed by terrorist before. But it's no reason to treat your guests, especially locals, as terrorists. They do every security measure possible, save for strip search. That means going there expecting a nice time at the lounge will be ruined right from the start.

I was in Jakarta on a work trip and spent 3 weeks at this hotel. Everything was exceptional - the room, service, business lounge, restaurant.

They were the target of terrorist attacks (twice I believe), but have since stepped up security and are much stricter on checking incoming taxis. There are armed guards and you can no longer drive anywhere close to the main lobby entrance.

The business lounge has amazing views of the city and a fantastic selection of foods at all hours. It's a great place to work.

Overall, highly recommended hotel.
