In our room we had got checked out by the workers and the room service people came by four times and rang our door bell four different times at 6 in the morning. We went to go backt or our room and check if we had gotten everything and the people came back to our room and took off the deadbolt to our room and wouldn t let us in to check again. It was a nice experience but i wish the staff was nicer and would let us make sure we got everything.!!

Spectacular location. 10 am presentations @ the Shade are in the Sun and the tone of the audio speakers are not clear for listeners and insufficient seating. Telling guests that they can only take one muffin is an insult to the audience. Don't forget to tell ur guests that they also can only have one cup of coffee per couple; imagine how much more $ u can save. And don't forget to charge a premium for up front seating too. Communicate your policies to the head Marriott HQ so they can compliment your efforts @ saving $ at the expense of customers and best in class service.

Beautiful property. Avoid fisherman's landing restaurant. Asked for a martini, waitress brought it with olives I sent back to be remade with lemon. She dipped her hands in the glass, ran a lemon around the rim, dropped a lemon in it and brought it back, rather than making a new one.

JW Marriott Palm Dessert was very disappointed. When we booked the room over two months in advance for the couchella festival we paid double of $5000 for a view that was to face the behind of the hotel which is veiwing pool, lake and mountains! They sale lady over explain to us about the and views we where going to see. Everything sounds;so we booked the room upfront on our credit card. So the week of couchella we got in a day earlier. That evening when we got of the shuttle to the hotel to check in our room. When we arrive at the front desk, the lady that check us in her last name was chin or chang(asian) we ask her where those room located she told it's in corner on 4th floor facing a wall. When we ask her what wall and told her we paid for pool, lake and mountains views and go to say those rooms are booked up! So we try to cooperate with her till she found us a room ain't this that room showing us that view. She could not deliver and settle for a nasty room cause of run around she was giving us! The worst experience ever!!!!

We spent 6 days around Christmas at the resort. We were 3 families, a total of 14 people. Everyone had a great time. We used the spa for massage, the gym for work outs, young ones took the boat ride - from the lobby, and had the breakfast package so we all met at breakfast every morning. Palm Desert weather was 70 to 82 for the week. Plenty of hiking nearby from easy and flat to 10 miles at 8500 ft by gondola. Joshua Tree is an hour drive but worth a day. Advice - make reservations in advance everywhere including restaurants in the hotel. Plenty of good places to eat nearby. Really booked for new year's.

The only reason i give 1 star is because the lobby and pool is great. Their customer service is horrible. We had major problems with check in, old rooms, i pleaded with manager that my kids have medical issues and we need renovated rooms and they didn t care. But other guest were complaining and they go moved. We are planning on checking out and loosing our money. It s a very very unpleasant experience.

For the nightly price of $270 minimum, I expected the balcony room to be in much better condition. Room looks like every other Marriott and since this is a resort, I expected a more upscale room for my 4-night stay.

First time visiting Palm Desert and staying at a JW Marriott. Highly recommend! It is a breathtaking resort with beautiful views in every direction. We enjoyed the boat rides around the resort, hanging by the pool, playing putt putt, and a massage at the spa. Restaurants had amazing food and ambiance. Would come back again!

Went to the spa, the massage and facial services and workers are great. Then stepped out to the spa pool and was in shock. The lounge cushions were dirty, with bird droppings covering everything. The pool towels were ripped and shredded, some stained. Not up to Marriott standards, not sure I want to go back.

Beautiful resort, amazing amenities. My only complaint are those awful squawking birds in the lobby they host. Terribly annoying, scary and never ceasing with their terrifying screeches.

Went for dinner. Gorgeous interior, huge outdoor area in walking area with boat rides through a lake/river. You could probably walk around there for hours. It was very pretty and completely immaculate.

Trashy casino filled with degenerates. I typically play high limit at 100-1000 a hand in Reno. I always start at the low limit at a new casino to feel out the floor staff. The only communication I received was them telling me to take off my apple watch. Drinks took 45 mins to get. Overall terrible experience. I wont be playing here ever again. I walked away 2500 up if anyone is wondering if i am being bitter with a loss. Dont not gamble or stay here!!!

Doubt anyone from the casino will even read this.

OMG! What a great resort. From the flamingos, to the many pools, to the golf, to the Starbucks inside. Walk the grounds or grab a taxi at the valet to explore the area. Centrally located in the middle of the desert. 20 minutes to downtown Palm Springs or 20 minutes to the East to the Coachella Music Festival. Great place for the family, Girls Getaway or business conferences.

Great hotel with lots to do around the resort. We did not have an issue with parking and the check in area was easy to find. Lots of places to eat inside the resort along with lots of shops. The hotel was under construction when I went but it was not an issue.

Recently stayed here for four nights with my partner. Large resort style hotel with lots of stuff to do and has many places to eat at. The room size was perfect, comfy bed and pillows, amazing view of the pools and mountains. The room service food was surprisingly excellent and I would 10/10 stay here again in the future.

I am attending a conference at the resort. The staff has been phenomenal... from the front desk, to the wait staff, to housekeeping. The facilities and organizational structure provided the back bone to our fabulous national conference.

I suggest ensuring that doors off of courtyard areas are sealed so that bugs don't enter bedrooms. We had a sudden infestation of small flies and crawling bugs. The Pavillion became extremely hot, humid and uncomfortable during afternoon meetings on Wednesday, July 27. Finally, it would be great to provide air conditioned access to the rooms in the courtyard area (e.g., room 1017).

Altogether, thank you for lovely accommodations.

Just came for a walk here with my hubby and our moms. It is so beautiful here. Sadly we missed the last boat ride. Looks like fun. Live music entertainment. Beautiful hotel entrance. Everything looked just beautiful. Added to my bucket list for sure.

Excellent! We stayed here while attending a work conference. It is a little piece of paradise out in the middle of the desert. The staff was absolutely amazing. Every single staff member we interacted with was so helpful and kind. I cannot say enough about them.

The amenities were awesome. They have tennis, pickleball, lawn games, golf, mini golf, pools, restaurants, boat rides, wifi, you name it! Golf and food are the only ones that cost money (resort fee covers the other stuff). Lots to do! The rooms were very nice and clean. Most of them have great views from their balconies. They we're renovating while we were there, and the changes look to be amazing. I think they were planning to be done at the end of October 2018.

There is a resort fee that gets you access to most of these things so make sure you plan on that.

Overall, definitely somewhere I want to return to stay at! I can definitely recommend it!

Had a wonderful time here for the weekend!! A little stingy with a later checkout and took a few times for room service to bring us towels but other than that, this is an excellent place to stay! Clean, friendly, and so much to do right on the resort! Restaurants, bars, swimming, 2 golf courses, spa services, night club. It has it all!!

Beautiful property, well maintain lush green lawns and golf course, pink flamingo and ducks in artificial lake. Rooms are bit dated but well maintained. Especially hate the popcorn ceilings in the room and the noisy HVC taking off a point for that

Besides it s wonderful accommodations we spent a ton of time at the pool where we met Bianca. She was an amazing server at the pool. She mixed us amazing drinks, Checked in on us often, suggested delicious food and wonderful places to explore. We made sure to be in her area after our first day because of the first class treatment she gave us.

I won't deny it, I'm a huge SPG lover over Marriott. Upon arrival, I was definitely blown away by the hotel grounds and the attention to detail and service.

We had a short trip to Palm Springs as a mini getaway from the LA chaos. This hotel was exactly what we both needed as the peace, quiet and relaxation we were looking for. During our check in process, the hotel went well out of their way to reserve their signature view room to us, as we celebrated a birthday. The staff was very courteous and explained the grounds to us, as this was our first stay here.

We took advantage of the boat tour at the hotel. Very cute way to get a nice overview of the grounds and the captain was very sweet enough to show us around. The room was very spacious and had a balcony overlooking the pools - absolutely stunning! You never would have felt like you were in the middle of a desert when you looked out.

The room service was excellent and prompt. The spa staff was very very friendly and gave us a tour of the premises to inform us about all the amenities included. We had drinks at the Blue Start lounge while catching up on some Sunday football. It was fairly quiet in there, but the atmosphere was definitely nice.

The biggest dud for me during our stay was the Oasis pool. The staff was completely MIA, or just flat out ignoring us. No one ever came to ask us for drink orders or food orders. We ended up getting a round of beers towards the last 30 min of our time. It took quite a long time from the start of our order, to getting our beers, to closing our tab out. The whole process made me just think it would be faster to walk to the bar myself.

The absolute highlight of the trip was the spa facility. It's that little slice of heaven you need from time to time. With the various amount of amenities and treatments, you definitely can't go wrong here!!

Only visited as part of our Marriott Desert Springs stay, but was very impressed with the facility...and you can access it all while staying next door at the Marriott Desert Springs. There is even a shuttle available every 30 minutes.
