Friendly, helpful and professional staff. Amazingly delicious food at hotel restsurants. The beds suck- too firm and they creek when you move on them during the night. Hilton has better beds for the same price. Boat rides are awesome. Starbucks on premises. Uber and Lyft pick up here. Stayed here for a professional conference and did not get to access the spa, pools or golf course on site.

Good all around service. Wish they would let you bring outside beverages into the pool area. Their food and drinks there are over priced and not that tasty. Besides that it's a nice place to stay with lots of amenities.

This hotel is amazing. I mean from the quality of their customer service experience to room quality, and they have ana amazing ear too as in they are there to listen to your requests as customers. The surrounding communities are beautiful and not too far from the main highway as well as shopping centers.

We went for our anniversary. The hotel is one of the best we've ever seen. The Palm lined entry gives you a hint of what is to come. The staff is amazing! The shops are really cool. You can rent a Harley Davidson if you want. Restaurants are open at pretty much all times you want to eat. We didn't try them all but the ones we did try were perfect. Service and food were excellent. Priced far less than a good meal anywhere else. I didn't golf , but the course was impeccable. We had the time of our lives in major part because the staff loves to help you.

The room was clean and at a decent preset temperature. The food was satisfying and the drinks were well made. A weekend get away could not be more satisfying, even with the Labor Day crowd the staff was exceptionally on point.

No heaters in the rooms?! December 10th visit was very uncomfortable because the rooms were 58 degrees!? Bad night sleep due to this... otherwise ambiance is spectacular.. food wasn't anything special.. I go there every year for work related visit. I'm glad I didn't have to pay for the room.

AWESOME HOTEL & GREAT STAFF! We got a free room upgrade due to it being our anniversary & tiffany who checked us in was the absolute best customer service gal I've ever had! This hotel was the best hotel all around, beautiful shops, lots of pools, we went in "slow" season in July and it was awesome! I bet you it wouldn't have been as enjoyable if I came in busy season. Thank you marriott palm springs it was a trip we will never forget!

We visited the JW Marriott to attend a work-sponsored dinner at Mikado. From what we saw of the hotel itself, it is magnificent! The staff is extremely professional and courteous. Just make sure you wear your walking shoes, as the site is enormous, and you will want to see as much of it as possible when you visit.

Check in excellent service, room renovated with teething problems on the floor and bathroom shower door. Room cleaning wasn't brilliant and not done until very late afternoon, far too late in the day. Balcony not touched at all.Rockwood Grille breakfast and service excellent. Fisherman's Landing restaurant again superb food great service. Poolside untidy and used towels not cleared away. Music at the weekends far too loud. Uncomfortable sunbeds. Have stayed at several Marriot hotels and resorts and not encountered these issues before. Hotel and gardens top quality and well kept.

This is one of the most overpriced underdelivering hotels I have stayed in. Our rooms, that were supposed to be close together, were almost as far apart as possible. When we asked, after we booked in, to move our rooms closer there was nothing they could do. The well appointed rooms they advertise is not what you should expect. Most rooms are old and dated. I would never come back!

Where do I begin. This Marriott is amazing. There is a major golf course, lakes, shops, fine food, etc. The staff are extremely nice and you are taking care of quickly. On top of that... the prices are amazing for the quality and the views are stunning. This is a must for people who love views, golfing, swimming, etc.

Not my favorite JW. We usually stay in Marriott hotels and resorts when we travel so I have been to several across the globe and this one is my least favorite. When at resorts Its all about the pool for me. The pool chairs are old and dirty. They were comfortable enough but you had to find one that wasn't cracked and had bird poop all over it. The entrance light in our room didn't work and the AC was meager. Not useful when it's 102 outside. The hotel just a major facelift. The decor is quite dated. On the plus side, the restaurants, shops, gym and other facilities are quite nice. The staff is great too. Will I be back? Probably not. I will try another hotel.

Amazing property sitting in the heart of Palm Dessert. The resort has amazing landscaping done with flamingoes and ducks within the ponds and lakes. There are multiple restaurants within the resort and lots of activities to do like golf, boat riding, gym, pool, basketball court, etc. Service was also great, very prompt.

This place was wonderful. We had a 2 bedroom in Villas ll. It was clean and well stocked for cooking with pots and pans. There were fun games to play poolside, a teen room with also a toddler play room. There were several pools to choose from and a shuttle came around about every 20 minutes. I can't wait to go again.

Marriott is obviously poorly managed. What kind of management would block off an entrance for tree trimming? While traffic is backed up a 1/2 mile down Country Club Dr. Not to mention, the Marriott is a pick up place for 1500/Stubhub Coachella wrist bands. Not real bright!

Location was gorgeous. Room with upgraded view was spectacular. Mikado restaurant was amazing. Can't say enough great things. Family vacation kids loved pools and mini golf. Customer service was spot on! We will be returning. Carmen in lobby bar area was our favorite and we truly can't say enough great things about her customer service. She was the best!

Is there a rating lower than one star? These guys are a bunch of frauds. I had a stay at this resort and was supposed to receive about 17000 points for the stay. They only credited 1000 points and upon calling them they told me to call Marriot rewards. Marriott rewards promised to credit the points 3 times after putting me on hold for more than 30 minutes each time. Yet, at the end they had no good explanation as to why the points were not added to my balance. They just lie, and say that it was credited when it is not added to the balance. Took a screenshot of my activity to prove that the points were not posted, and sent it to Bob Kincade, who asked for it. Then he called Marriott rewards and despite the fact that the screenshot showed the points were not posted, he did not make any effort to tell the representative that points were not posted. They just told me there is a glitch in the system. They did not even try to repost the stay!! When I tried to call Bob, he just did not answer the phone and told the representative to tell me he was not available. These guys have no shame whatsoever. I have been a loyal Marriott hotel customer for 18 years with Platinum status. If they treat me like this imagine how they treat the rest of their customers. I will make sure they are fully exposed for who they are. They will tell you that it is the Marriott rewards that is responsible, and not them. Another lie. I stayed at the JW Marriott at Seoul a week later and there was no problem. My points were credited and my stay showed up with the two nights credit towards my status. Neither of these happened at the JW Marriott in Desert Springs. It seems like the management at this location is incompetent and they do not care what type of service is provided to their customers.

Beware - rooms are being refurbished Feb/March 2018) and registration doesn't bother to warn you. Person who checked me in disingenuously offered me an upgraded room with a view that was available for check in "now" without a peep about the construction. Terrible customer service.

Beautiful place to go to for a conference, especially when the weather is perfect. Feels really relaxing to just sit outside and enjoy the golf course view whole you're dining or having a meeting. There are several restaurants on-site if you don't want to eat the conference food...which may or may not be a good idea depending on what they serve.

Usually it's quite a nice getaway experience, but ...

Usually it's quite a nice getaway experience, but the staff had botched our room reservations as well as restuarant reservations for its restaurants like Mikado which was awful. The restaurant had tried double charging everyone around us. We suspect fraudulent activities from that restaurant. Also the staff is uninformed about when activities, shops, and restaurants within the hotel close and open. I've been coming here for the past 11 years once a year and this may be the last. The hotel is in much need of a facelift and the inside needs to be renovated. First with the fake plants in the interior and the ceilings need to sand off the cottage cheese pattern that they skipped on. This review may sound tough, but we are talking about a JW Marriott, not a regular Marriott.
