Looks can be deceiving. Beautiful resort however ran into quite a few logistics , communication bungles, incompetence issues. My very first vacation since a serious accident 4 years ago for my husband and myself. We were both disappointed.

Confusing to find your way around as the map was really vague. Food was awful (wish I could attach photos).
Kids were playing football in the lazy river & hit some guy in the gut. Even my kids were annoyed by it. Complained to the front desk about the food, she gave me an email to give feedback and it didn't work. I'll probably never go back or recommend and I'm a local. Very disappointed!

Amazing resort! The pool area here is fantastic. There is a lazy river and you could literally float around all day! They have great cocktails, including a super fun coconut drink! The staff is overt the top fantastic. We had a minor problem and they went out of the way to fix it not one, but twice. I would definitely stay here again!

We were sent to the Marriott for my husband's work. It was a great stay-cation. Getting into the hotel, it looked immense. It was very beautiful on the inside and all the employees greeted you with a smile. Our room was great, very comfortable beds! We had a late night work meeting, and there were so many areas with tables and chairs and couches to choose from. The pool area was amazing. Our kids enjoyed it very much. The lazy river and water slide was our favorite! Before leaving, we ordered food from Stone Grill. Although it was a bit pricy, the food was very good and we loved it. Overall, it was a great visit and we cannot wait to go back!

Its overall a very nice resort and the pool is great with the Arizona weather. Resturants in the hotel run expensive but that's to be expected with a resort. Area around the hotel (pheonix, scotsdale, etc) are very nice. Its A welcome change from my home state.

Very nice resort - went here for a conference. Staff very nice the whole time we were here. Places to eat at resort are pricey but you have to drive to places outside - so be aware of that. No shuttle to or from airport. Rooms are very clean and nice. All in all very good place to stay for a few days to get away.

Had dinner at Roy's. Food was pricey, but delicious. Staff was very friendly. There was live music out in the lounge, and the outdoor scene was beautiful. Oh ya, if you stop at Roy's for a snack, try the chocolate souffle...

Huge resort. Here for a conference, and it's been great. Lazy river, pools, nice rooms with balconies, and a friendly staff. The conference area is nice, but they always seem to have a problem with the mics. Food on-site is also very expensive.

I've visited the JW Marriott Desert Ridge on a handful of occasions for dinner, happy hour, and swimming. This week I attended my first event in their conference space. I was really impressed with the size of the conference center. I loved that thru the very large open hallways there were lots of tables with chairs and workspace so people could still attend to their personal needs outside of sessions. When I entered the facility a large conference was taking place and hosting a buffet lunch in the open hallways. Even with this very active buffet there was plenty of room for moving around. I made my way to the second floor where my meeting was being hosted. The room was setup with a U shape table and AV equipment on the right side and our lunch buffet setup for about 40 participants on the left side. The staff was very helpful and paid great attention to the fact that this was a working lunch. They worked in an out to pick up plates so quietly, which helped keep the meeting flow going. I would absolutely love to attend another event at this venue.

I actually worked here for a day as housekeeping...and some of the housekeeping ladies were so nice and welcoming. The resort is humongous and really beautiful, very well kept outside. However some of the ways these housekeepers do their jobs made me see what goes down and honestly im kind of scared to sleep in ANY hotel again.. when they cleaned the toilets they spray it down with disinfectant but then used the water from the toilet bowl to scrub the seat with the same toilet bowl scrubber all around.. Idk if it was just the Lady i was paired with or if all of them do it.. and my friend worked the day there as well told me that the Lady she worked with was so rude. She told my friend she shouldn't be working as a housekeeper because she is white, and she should find a real job and leave those kinds of jobs for people who need their papers and a whole bunch of stuff.

Amazing resort. Romantic. Quiet. Secluded and beautiful grounds. My wife and I have enjoyed the Revive Spa with a couples massage more than once on separate visits. We also enjoyed lounging out by the pool and lazy river drinking strawberry daiquiris! Staff has been always nice. Rooms exquisite and clean. We decided we may take the kids for our next visit but enjoyed our time alone so we might just go alone again!
