CenterPoint Energy found some gas leaks in our home & took our meter away. We needed a licensed & bonded plumber to repair our valves & pipes and called John Moore. Yes, they are higher in price, but they responded quickly and the technicians could not have been more skilled and delightful! They found 2 more leaks after running pressure checks, but in the end, the City Inspector gave us a passing grade and CenterPoint returned our meter. You'll pay for it, but they do a great job!

Willie did a great job in that he effectively diagnosed the problem and did so rather quickly. I wish John Moore Services had sent him to begin with as my overall experience would have been less frustrating and less expensive. There were three total trips and three employees. All were pleasant and professional, but the first trip was ineffective and I didn't get Moore for the first $500.00. I do appreciate the credit issued for the final service that addressed the problem. I don't think I should have had to ask for it though.

My 2nd review this week: Hamad Dardouk did a fantastic job on non cooling AC. He promptly determined what the problem was, had the part to fix the unit and installed it quickly. He also gave me some great information, which I can use in future projects. Again as usual, great service from John Moore.

Now, I also want to the thank the rest of the John Moore team who helped with my AC cooling problem. This job was scheduled for the next morning, which I was OK with, but your team decided to fix problem tonight. This was unexpected and greatly appreciated.

I scheduled an appointment throught their chat on their website. Very polite and pleasant online and scheduled a technician within a couple of hours. Plus with John Moore is that your diagnostic fee/cost for tech to come out is free. Unlike other companies who charge $95/$96.

Wade was our technician and was very polite, wore his mask and was thorough in his work
in diagnosing the problem with our AC. He was very knowledgeable with explaining what our options were to fix AC and answered any and all questions that we had. They do offer payment plan, which will have to be an option should we choose to fix AC problem.

So haven't actually used their service to repair...yet. But was pleased with the tech that came out to diagnose AC problem.

I contacted John Moore early today, Sunday July 12, 2020, leaving a message and also posted a service request on their website indicating my need for air conditioning service. I fully expected that I would hear from them on Monday. Instead, they called me before 8am. By 11:30am the problem was resolved and my system was working again. The technician, Noly Gomez, was prompt, efficient, helpful and friendly. This was five star service in every respect. I highly recommend John Moore Services!!!

First mistake, Inlaws called these yoyo's out. I was out of town and couldn't help out. Had a break underslab over the Holidays. Do yourself a favor, go somewhere else. You will save about 75%.
Got charged for permits. Never saw their copy. Will check with Friendswood to make sure that happened. You wonder how they are still in business at these prices? They play and prey on the uninformed. Inlaws, One is on Social security the other is now on unemployment. Both in their 80's. I just had a break in my slab and did a complete reroute with a Company been around forever. Was HALF the cost. Same work. VERY close to the same footages. Nowhere NEAR the tunneling I had to do. Looking at their record on The BBB apparently they have a ton of negative issues. Stop by Angies list and see we are the only one they have been over charging. Their spokesman babbles that the complaints are just a fraction of the work. Whats wrong with just treating customers right ALL THE TIME.and not try to put the screws to those who rely on a professional? Seems those days are far gone.

I had drainage issue with my kitchen sink. they came twice and charged me for the trip and they didn't fix anything. they said you have big issue and pipe is broken under slab and wanted to charge me $7000 for that. I almost got fooled after they offered me financial assistance but I got another technician from roto rooter company to just come and take a look. they could open the drainage with $200 and they said no pipe is broken. infact they were surprise john moore guy couldn't pass through a block with snake tool that was pretty simple according to them. I could have paid $7000 for nothing. what a rip-off. never trust john moore again. I will tell anybody I know not to trust them.

My heating furnace had to be completely replaced. The technician finished the job in 4 1/2 hours. They started at 5:00pm and by 9:45 I had heat. Now I am ready for the winter freeze in Houston. Thanks John Moore. I made an appointment and they were there the very next day! I am completely satisfied with my results. They even helped me get financing. That was huge.

The original appointment was for Monday, June 8, 2015. John Moore Service only allows a 4 hour window for the service fee of $49.00. (A smaller time frame is available for a much higher service fee.) This fee was supposed to be applied to any service rendered. It was not. On Monday the window was from 4PM to 8PM for the service technician to arrive. I specifically told John Moore's customer service to notate the AC was located on a full two story roof and to bring a 27 foot ladder. I arrived at 4PM to wait. Around 6PM John Moore customer service called and stated they were over booked. At 7:30PM customer service called and stated they were running late. The technician did not arrive until 8:45. It was completely dark. When he arrived, he told me he could not fix the unit because he did not have a ladder. Each time John Moore's customer service called I reminded them they needed a tall ladder. Customer service told me at 8:45 they would book another appointment for the following day from 8 to Noon. I told them I had already waited for almost 5 hours and they agreed to make the service call for 8AM to 9AM on Tuesday. Tuesday morning the technician arrived at 9AM. The technician had a ladder and examined the condenser. He told me the unit was full of Freon but needed to have the evaporator coil cleaned and the condensation line blown out. He initially quoted me $850 to perform the service. When I asked if he was going to remove the coil and clean, he told me this was just for an acid spray. The technician told me to remove the coil would be $2,000. I told him to just blow out the condensation line. He quoted me a price of $350.00 to blow out the line. I told the technician I was going to call and ask for a supervisor. The technician told me the supervisor would not be at her desk and would have to call me back. I called John Moore's customer service to inquire if these were the actual prices they charged and asked to speak to a supervisor. I was told the supervisor had just walked away from her desk and would have to call me back. John Moore call center provides terrible customer service. After sometime, the technician told me he could reduce the charge to blow out the line to $149.99 plus the charge of $49.00 for the service call. Since I had waited for almost 2 days I agreed to have the line cleaned. John Moore's customer service is awful and their prices to perform service are outrageous. John Moore Service clearly does not care about providing quality customer service at a fair price. Ironically, when I was typing this complaint (Friday, June 12, 2015), John Moore customer service called and offered to refund the $49.00 service charge. I will have to wait to see if they follow through on the refund. I would not recommend them!

Had an appointment set up for yesterday (07/10/2018) to replace my water heater (set up through John Cantu). I was given a 0800-1000 window for the replace and install of the water heater. At 1000 having heard nothing from anyone at John Moore, I called John Cantu, of course it went straight to voicemail. I left a message that I had heard nothing from anyone in his company about the install and would like to know what was going on. A hour later after hearing nothing from John cantu or anyone from John Moore services I called Abacus Plumbing. They gave me an excellent quote Much cheaper quote than John Cantu.

Technician was on time, courteous and seemed very knowledgeable. The job on my Air Conditioner was done in a timely and professional manner at a reasonable cost. He took the time to inspect the workings of the entire system and left us with ideas on how we could improve the efficiency of the system. They are not as cheap as some of the fly-by-night companies, but the quality of the work was well worth the cost. I am recommending them to all my family members.

Got a quote with Diego and he was very professional and courteous. The price for re-piping the whole house was fair but due to last month s freeze the waitlist is seven weeks out. I would ve given him the green light to knock out the job but I can t wait that long unfortunately as my family is displaced and needs to come back home sooner than later.

Update:Just received a quote from another company called H-Town Services(Very reputable with only 5 star reviews) for HALF of what John Moore wanted to charge us. H-town Services stated we only need a circuit board with surge protector. The furnace & blower motor in it is working fine!

In 2017 our AC system stop cooling our home. I had another company come out first and recommend We replace both AC units on the outside of our home. I always like to get second opinions on matters like these especially when it involves a huge repair expense. So I called John Moore . They came out and recommended I just replace the coils on the AC system along with replacing the furnace ducts & new insulation for attic. The total cost was 15000. We had just bought our house so this was a shock to us. I realize now that with that money we should of just listened to the first AC contractor & replaced the two units outside. We had issues after installation of all the AC work done by John Moore. We had to call John Moore & have them come out again & correct issues involving work quality. For example attic insulation blown into the AC condensation drip line pan. Ironically enough two years later the system stop working due to the fact that our pan filled up with water and the secondary line that runs out the exterior clogged up. John Moore wanted to charge us over 500 dollars to clean out the pan & unclog the line I accepted the service but once again the quality of work was horrible. My husband had to unclog the secondary line himself. Then they told us the primary line was clogged too but that work would involve a plumber. Once again I brought in another company for a second option on the main line issue. It turns out this main line is not connected and wasn t connected during the initial work John Moore did back in 2017. If a company is going to do serious work on a AC system involving replacement of coils & furnace ducts then they should make sure the whole system is working properly to ensure quality work. I called them again recently due to my AC system not cooling on the first floor. The unit stop working after a thunderstorm. The technician told us the furnace circuit board is burnt out and possibly the blower motor in the furnace. Apparently we have no surge protectors on the system. It s going to cost over $1600 to replace a circuit board which only cost a few hundred dollars. If we want surge protectors it s going to cost $2400 or we can just buy a new furnace for almost $5000. Long story short I should of just listen to the other contractor (Abacus) and just replaced the two AC units outside our home. John Moore knows they can make more money by just having us replace one part at a time...STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE YOU HIRE A CONTRACTOR TO SERVICE EXPENSIVE SYSTEMS IN YOUR HOUSE. Unfortunately we were ignorant home owners who were taken advantage of.

He said I can call and rescheduled with someone else if I wanted to. So we rescheduled for another day that he can come out on an he did. The technician was able to troubleshoot the problem within 5 minutes and get my furnace working again. He also noticed there were some improvements that could be made to my HVAC. He committed to putting together an estimate and let me know that the improvements could be made at a later time. I am happy with their quick response and quality of work.

Anthony was the technician that came out today and addressed our toilet issue. I was thoroughly impressed with his professionalism and knowledge at such a (seemingly) young age. He took his time to carefully explain the situation and a solution. He showed empathy when I explain to him that it was most likely kids toys that had accidentally been flushed down the toilet. In his thorough explanations, I learned a lot about PVC pipes, blockages, water flow and pressure, what to do each week to check for toilet issues, etc.

I will say this without hesitation: John Moore is who I will call (and recommend) in the future for ANY plumbing need that should ever arise, and Anthony will be the technician I will request.

I used John Moore for my AC back in 2016 , so I chatted on line about getting installation add and ducks changed out and tech assured me that the ducks were not needing to be replaced and that cleaning them would take care of what I was wanting done since I had others say that they needed to be changed out. But he assured me that there wasn't any mold.so we are getting installation and ducks cleaned.
