Staff were helpful, but what I was looking for I had obviously not bought there previously.

Fantastic customer service. I bought a laptop that wasn't my first choice. I received an email to say that the one I wanted had arrived. I was able to exchange the laptop with no problem. Very good quality products and website. very happy with my laptop and the customer service.
Though a bit expensive, you can find varied options for home essentials. You will end up buying something.
As always, exceptional customer service, knowledgeable staff and plenty of stock.
Loved everything about this store. Staff always helpful. I can shop here everyday.
Arranging of stuff isn t the best. Frankly looks messy. Not even space for the merchendise
Service is good and reliable department store. We sell good things such as bedclothes and towels at reasonable prices.
Excellent range, good location, very helpful staff and great value. Own brand products are particularly high quality for the price. In addition Returns are easy, deal with a human and no questions asked. Worth the price above an online only retailer
Great shopping experience as always. Great selection of items and nice, friendly staff
The staff are all very approachable, helpful and knowledgeable. The store itself is very well stocked and also offers a collection point for online orders. They do a good job of product curation, a sadly undervalued service in these days of Amazon based shopping.
Great store excellent service even though it's right in the middle of central London. Staff are always happy to help. Although one down side is also those escalators funny configuration until you get use to them. But a 5 star department store none the less. One I highly recommend you go to even if you are just window shopping.
Prefer purchase online, I find this store to be overwhelming: tight aisles with too much people packed - I don't like the layout. I prefer Brent Cross JL's more calmer and larger aisle
Big fan of the store. Has a lot of stuff with many different areas so makes it really convenient and easy. I bought a few things from there from a tech perspective. I did however find it very busy and when specials are on very difficult to get around. But that's with all stores nowadays
Huge shop on Oxford Street. Plenty of choice and a waitrose in the basement. That's it really.
Went there because there's a bathroom. It was pretty clean and nice. I didn't even look at the products in the store but I'd definitely go there again to use the bathroom. Thanks for the great experience! I'll recommend you to all of my friends if they ever feel like using bathroom while in London.
there's many items of clothing to choose from and, if you want, you can buy plates or a toaster
Very good bargains if you are buying aftershave or perfume, up to 50% off a lot of high end brands.
I had a great experience my new chromebook wasnt working so went to the technical help section and they sorted me a replacement no problem! That's why you should support the high street!
A so-called ordinary department store, you can find almost anything.
What to recommend is where there is a restroom. If you do not know the city of London, you will have a hard time in the bathroom.
I like the cafe on the roof that looks out onto Oxford street
Good place for clothes and household items, also a Waitrose in the basement to pick up some groceries. The staff here always seem to be in good spirits and are very helpful whenever you ask them questions. Have tried the 5th floor place to eat and the cakes there are very good, though will need a gym session to work off. Has a few other cafe/restaurants too, definitely worth a try.
A quality and customer focused store. I would rate it more than 5 stars if I could
A fantastic store. Staff are friendly and the store is clean & well maintained. Lives up to its flagship title.
I just have to be careful because I could spend a fortune there.
Great prices for the store brand item. I found tons of bed sheets, and other home items.
Although I love the department store, I couldn't get someone to help me with TVs and cookers as it was busy, so turned away empty handed :(
Great choice, affordable prices, courteous sellers and staff; a restaurant on the fifth and a cafe on the second floor. Escalators and elevators. Shopping was a success
My favorite store. Downstairs food and coffee machines. Was, tired and coffee to drink.
Good Products. One of the best stores on Oxford Street
I tried two renowned names on the same street today just to confirm my thoughts and most certainly John Lewis is the best store I ever want to be in anytime of the year. They just know their business.
Great customer service. They were really pleasant in the shoe department where all I wanted was 2 empty boxes. I had same good experience last time too.
Five floored department store on Oxford St, this store sells almost everything including clothing, homeware, electricals, groceries and beauty products.
The prices are always the cheapest, however the quality is great an they offer really good warranties on their electrical goods and customer service here is fantastic. They also do have a price matching service so if you do find the same product cheaper elsewhere they will match it.
In the basement you will find waitrose where you can find all the groceries. As well as an in store supermarket they have a restaurant, brasserie and on the top floor a cafe.
A great department store with everything that you would need, except for designer sunglasses seemingly. Staff are helpful and approachable. The range of items in the store are vast and can be fairly eclectic. Located close to Oxford Circus and bind Street stations.
Never knowingly under sold. I love This place, it never ceases to amaze me the staff are brilliant and knowledgeable, personable always willing to share advice and help whenever they can recommending of the stores if need be. The only bugbear I have is that the haberdashery and saying department is dwindling before my very eyes which is a shame as I m not that old and I can remember when it was huge. Please make the haberdashery department great again!
I rate this store pretty highly because it is one on the original traditional stores that has survived all the changes that have happened on Oxford Street over the years and it is still as entertaining, relaxing and relevant for today's shoppers as it was more than 20 years ago. Not many department stores can say that
Still not very good. Not much in the way of stationary in the stationary department. I asked for A4 paper and a member of staff told me that they never stock A4 paper. I know this not to be true, as I bought it there in the past. Going downhill rapidly ...
Possibly one of the largest John Lewis store in London that can meet most of anyone's shopping needs. Rooftop restaurant is a treat, check it out.
Very large John Lewis. Need to go to 5th floor for 'Place to Eat'. A bit of calm on a busy shopping street. All the usual departments including Waitrose on LG floor. Current renovations don't seem to be impacting.
Went to counter, immediately greeted and served by very helpful assistant. Very pleased with efficient and friendly service.
With the row of department stores on Oxford Street, it's hard to pick which one to go to. John Lewis is a good place for everything that one would normally buy for everyday use and not luxury items.
Very confusing layout. Plus staff become very rude closer to closing time.
The best John Lewis in London. Great selection of everything an average household needs coupled with very good customer service. Fab food hall downstairs.
A large integrated complex for all the needs of the family, clothes, perfumes, and food
Friendly staff and great roof garden restaurant...highly recommended if in need of some fresh air and escape from the hustle !!
Got to be one of the best department stores in this country. The choice of goods is amazing, staff are helpful and knowledgeable. We spent time working our way down from the fantastic restaurant on floor 5. Down through the Tech area and through every floor finishing in the jewellery area. The ladies of the jewellery counter was amazing, patient, courteous and not pushy at all. What a place to go, well done John Lewis and the wonderful team.
Worst John Lewis ever for customer service. The staff is rude, dismissive and the service is like shopping at a discount retailer. Why ever shop for designer watches at John Lewis when the experience leaves you out of pocket and ripped off because they clearly have contempt for The Consumer Right Act 2015! Never spending a penny in this store again. They clearly leave themselves fake reviews so watch out fellow customers.
Good for a coffee break if you are tired of the Oxford St chaos
From my experience I believe that the John Lewis stores are only good for simple things like buying bedding and curtains.
They cannot be trusted with Tech and their 2 year warranty seems to be next to worthless unless you are willing to argue with them.
They seem to rely on most customers being passive to save money on the warranty.
I am hearing a lot that the customer service aspect of John Lewis has really plummeted. My recent experience seems to confirm that.
The reason for this is because they attempted to get out of the warranty by saying that in their opinion a component on the inside of my phone (that I couldn't possibly see) was damaged. So damage isn't covered. When I pointed out that the outside of the phone was in perfect condition (not a scratch) and that I will not allow them to renege on a warranty agreement in this manner, and if necessary I would present my warranty and phone to the small claims courts to decide, John Lewis then agreed to honour the warranty.
This Oxford street store had some rude tech staff when I was picking my phone. I asked for a printout to logically confirm the exact date the 90 day repair guarantee ends. He said wouldn't give it and I can work out a date myself. How rude. When I questioned this and said it is common sense written proof is required he decided to then give it. I asked why not give it originally and why create frustration and bad customer service. He replied "I was just letting you rant". I said I would complain about how rude speaking like that is. He said "they (the managers) will go nothing mate. Go ahead". I complained to the online forum. Got standard reply. Nothing special. So he was right.
In summary, I will not buy tech products from here in the future. Basic products only. But will try to shop elsewhere first if can. Quality of good and service has dropped significantly. (2019).
Great store with helpful staff but they never seem to have what I need in stock.
Here they have everything between heaven and earth. Great place
Calvin (Nikon representative in the photography section, floor 5) was absolutely fantastic - he has a great understanding of photography, the full Nikon range (and how they compare with other brands) and spent a lot of his time discussing with me what type of camera and lenses that suit my needs. Highly recommend visiting him in the store for help on buying your next camera!
As always fantastic service, with lots of great range of high quality products at great prices.
Shopping spree is enjoyable although with comparison to other shops its a bit pricey!
Flagship, I think
History and decor are great
Great customer service found in this store! Can find everything you could ever need under one roof. The place to eat serves really nice food too, so you can have a pit stop during your shop. Very helpful with loads of extra services available.
