Really nice place to visit this Christmas. It is like a whole outing. The theme of the piano from the Elton John Ad really added to the fun. I enjoyed listening to the customers play the piano on the first floor and playing the stand up piano on another floor like the film big (the first time I could play the song like they did!). Really appreciate the effort they go through to build on the advert and make John Lewis an experience (despite being my company s competitor ;)). Could also relax on the sofas too. The mini wonderland on the roof this year was cosy and quiet (pleasantly in contrast to winter wonderland which you can see from the roof) I like the touch of blankets. I m sure they re fully aware but the ice rink was no good. But appreciate the effort. Feel bad for the people who paid for it (I got a free Ticket from someone !) But you do get free drinks with it. Thanks John Lewis . Also a former partner so feel close to it !

Service used to be great here, but the electronics department is a really poorly run experience filled with rude sales staff that seem to be trained with incorrect info. e.g. "Apple make an integrated printer and CD-ROM drive that attaches to the bottom of your macbook air".

Kind and friendly staffs at Sushi Dairy. Salmon maki was so nice!
It is a very beautiful shop. The Sushi Dairy sushi in the basement Food Hall (Waitrose & Partners) was really good. The clerk seemed to be Japanese and was not Japanese, but he was very friendly and told me about recommendations. Salmon roll? Is recommended!

There's so much here, yet so little. They undoubtedly have a lot of product, but unfortunately it's not varied. If your looking for something that's a little more specialist, then this is not the place to turn to.

Very poor customer service on 5th floor Apple iPh...

Very poor customer service on 5th floor Apple iPhone iPad section . Oxford Circus store supposed to be a flagship store, its clearly lack of consistency.

I went to enquiry about iPhones - waited 15 mins and no one came despite I had made myself very visible and clearly waiting to be served!

1 young customer service rep (in white shirt on top right of my photo) was chatting to an customer continuously since I came - yes he clearly saw me and ignored me. Excuse me, I ll be with you very soon or I ll get someone to see you shortly - that s what I woud have expected.

Another rep (in grey short sleeve shirt with pink striped tie) came, when it comes to be my turn, he went straight to a customer who came after me, let me guess the difference btw us - maybe he doesn t like the colour of my money...

After helped myself with a rep from different dept nearby and managed to get what I wanted, yes the young rep was still chatting to the same customer after nearly 1 hour... the rep who doesn t like the colour of my money managed to chat with the same customer for about 30 mins as well.... both customer reps were still chatting when I left... At least 10 potential buyers came and left in between... !!

It s just an awkward and irritating 1 hour I spent in the store, not a good experience at all! Avoid going to the Apple section of the store...

When you walk in your hit with a hundred different...

When you walk in your hit with a hundred different smells perfume, aftershave very overpowering. Hello madam, would you like to try ??? From a very made up lady in shoes that I have no idea how one they manage to hold her up and two she manages to walk in. Hair not out of place more make up than you paint a house with look. If you smile you might face might crack sort of thing. Thank you but no thanks but you know you have to look after your skin madam.
Well oops before I could stop myself.
" Well with amount of plaster of Paris and concrete mix on with a touch of primer and gloss paint I don't think you know what your skin looks like either"
So I walked off picked up my uniform.

John Lewis offers a fantastic shopping experience....

John Lewis offers a fantastic shopping experience. And not only are all the staff extremely friendly and helpful, but, they are also well trained as well. Basically, John Lewis is the Retail Industry's Gold Standard. There are very very few department stores of it's calibre in the London's West End. The only other two being Selfridge's and Harrod's.

Today is my daughters 13th Birthday but she doesn ...

Today is my daughters 13th Birthday but she doesn t have a present to open because John Lewis decide to cancel an order I made a few hours after I made it on Wednesday 6 March 2019. I had chosen click and collect service to guarantee I had the Samsung J6 + red on her birthday. When I went to collect it from Waitrose crouch end. I was told my order number didn t exist eventually they called John Lewis and was told I didn t pass the credit check. The safe at Waitrose were then speaking to me like a fraudster, I then got to speak with John Lewis Customer service and again was told I cancelled the credit check. I asked how this was possible when John Lewis had taken the money out my bank account. She denyed this was the case. I told her I was looking at my online banking account as we spoke. She the tried to find out if there had been a mix up, but came back saying there was nothing more she could do because I failed the credit check I could come to the store to collect. Bear in mind it was now 4:45pm Friday 8th March 19. I asked how can I do that when they had taken the money from my bank account. She Repeated that because my credit check was cancelled they would not have taken money from my account. She didn t not was to hear anything I was telling her. She said if money was taken from my account I would need to contact my bank to find out why. I m now it floods of tears in Waitrose staff and customers listening and watching and worst of all my 12 year old daughter who I sent to walk around the store so I can collect her surprise present comes back to me wondering what was wrong. I had to ask her to go and look round the store again. Today is Saturday 9th march I called my bank and was told John Lewis had now reason to cancel my order as the bank had authorised the payment. I would like to thank John Lewis for ruining my daughters 13th Birthday and leaving her without a present. You have let me with no money to even by her one, because 4 days later you have not returned my money to my bank account.

I attended the Christmas party at JL Oxford Circus...

I attended the Christmas party at JL Oxford Circus this past Wednesday evening. It was busy but well organised. 1 glass of Prosecco and 1 mince pie was given to each and a wrist band for participating in a draw for prizes on the night. Also JL customers using their card for purchases received triple points and there were 30% Chritmas decorations. The event also had live music and a few tastings and freebies.

I have experienced the worst customer service imag...

I have experienced the worst customer service imaginable. I paid for an engineer to set up a new printer. The printer was faulty. I purchased a replacement two weeks ago. I have lost count of the number of phone calls I have made, the amount of time I have spent waiting on the phone and the number of hours I have spent waiting for an engineer who did not turn up. I still cannot use the printer despite promises and assurances from Customer Services at John Lewis.

I visit here regularly and the customer service is good. A great variety of quality products AND they are never knowingly undersold. The food hall offers items that are not available at all Waitrose stores. A great place for a day out shopping with good accessibility.

A quality department store providing a positive, enjoyable and impressive shopping experience. While other departments have 'dumbed down' on shop fitments and face-to-face customer service, 'Jonny L's' continues to go the extra mile to ensure customers don't just want to shop online, but have the opportunity to go into store to 'try' goods before they buy in a welcoming, comfortable and hospitable environment. Always enjoy a visit and browse in JL Oxford Street, even on Saturday's and peak, seasonal shopping times. I can't say this for all stores so they must be doing something right!

Really losing its way, 2 staff on 4 tills, other 2 standing around, 10 waiting people.
In the cafe, no flat white, coffee cups overflow with auto cappacino, poor scone. Worse and worse service, they have to do better or go bust!
