Service center has a terrible service. I believe Charlie was her name, but she expressed a very negative tone and passive aggressive attitude to signify that she was annoyed with assisting me with my inquiry. I, the customer, had to stay composed to make sure I get my service scheduled. If I had all the money in the world, I would get rid of my Hyundai vehicle and go with that of another brand just so that I won't have to go through such detestable experience ever again.

I was given a loaner car for about 48 hours to get back and forth to work, which was greatly appreciated! Thanks guys! (and for accomplishing all of this during our 'snowstorm' :)

From being greeted by Sam Patel in the lot - who I recalled reading favorable comments online - to being recommended by him to Dan Ofosu, who was extremely polite and helpful all the way thru, including driving our old car to our home after a long day at work, and also to having Mark Smolyar tirelessly "leading the blind thru our final stages" ( I forced him to convince me all over again - just one day later - as to why I must shell out $2500 more for my 2nd car purchase service protection/agreement) - it was a great experience, not a small part of the reason that we came out and bought a 2nd car from Dan yesterday, and not giving myself some indeterminate time to absorb where the money went for the 1st one. And everyone in the dealership was friendly and engaging, even the mechanics who happened to be wandering through the lobby. thx again

Danon kept me updated on the status of my vehicle and also provided recommendations on which things were the most pressing to get serviced.

Mitch was great as well, he was able to get me to work on time and was also able to pick me up within 20 minutes of contacting him.

Sam Patel (Sales) and Eric Kim (Finance) helped create the best car buying experience I've ever had. They work well together and it shows. They were never pushy or annoying and they quite literally went the extra mile to help us find the perfect car. We love our CPO Santa Fe Sport. Whew what an experience. I haven t purchased many cars in my lifetime but the knowledge and experience I had with Tim Wilson really set the bar. He was knowledgeable and very patient with me regarding my needs. I will be coming back to him and sending my family and friends on over to Jim Ellis to see him as well.

Car was booked in for an oil change and tire rotation service. Dropped in at the night dropoff with no problems and service was scheduled for 8.30 a.m. Jim Ellis Service manager called at 9.15 to say the car was ready for pickup. Car had been washed and cleaned and looked brand new!!! Excellent service! Highly recommended.

My experience with Jim Ellis Hyundai has been great. I was referred there through my credit union. Corey Barton was the salesman who assisted me. He listened to what I wanted and delivered. Corey stayed within my price range and did not try to up sell me into something not in my budget. I was able to trade in my Santa Fe and left with a 2018 Sonata.
Since the purchase, I ve been to the Service department to have the windows tinted and Danon Henton was the service advisor. I really like their service department. The customer service was exemplary. I will definitely be returning for my service needs. Thank you Jim Ellis!!

When I approached the service person, I received the typical me service person-you female attitude. I get that a lot. No problem, I can handle that but am not a fan.
When I explained the situations and mentioned my warranty purchased along with my vehicle (at Rick Case Duluth (RCH)), I was told by service rep that the warranty was only good at RCH and no where else. I d also not qualify for a loaner vehicle since I did not have an appointment for my vehicle to be seen that day (my check engine light came on, hence the visit).

I contacted RCH and they assured me your service representative was incorrect, gave me my warranty information and told me that all Hyundai warranties were covered by all Hyundai dealerships (which I knew but, hey, let s verify).

I then called your service representative and gave him the information.
My car was repaired, BUT -
he claimed that the check engine light was not on - I m not an idiot-he saw it when I showed it to him... the rear back Door lock still doesn t lock when the car is put in gear.
Other than that, the car seems to be running alright and no sensor lights have come back on.
Incidentally, the bill to warranty company shows $70 for loaner vehicle. I DID NOT RECEIVE ONE!!!

I called Jim Ellis location to schedule an appointment in service. A sales answered told me he transfer me to service...no one in service picked up the call and I was redirected I guess back to sales office. The sales rep was very rude and told me that if nobody answered it s because they are with someone and won t stop what they are doing just to answer my call. I fully understand that businesses get busy but the tone of the sales person was so rude and what he said made me think that customers are important.

This was by far the easiest, most pleasant car buying experience I have ever had and I really really love my new Santa Fe Sport!! I told my salesperson the things that I was looking for and the very first car I test drove was perfect! She obviously listened to everything that I said I was looking for and I was driving away in my new car within 4 hours of entering the dealership. I would highly recommend Jim Ellis Hyundai in Chamblee!!

I have 2017 hyundai Tucson and I bought it on DEC,2017. Recently I have noticed a minor trembling sound(ticking or knocking sound?) when I step on breaks with the gear position in R and D. I visited the dealer and checked all points; and they said, "nothing wrong with the brakes and the car is factory condition." Thanks for all your overall checkup. However, I am sure the sound is completely different than before even though it is a minor trembling ticking sound. I hope it is not getting worse and this is not a similar hyundai engine problem previously recalled thousands cars.

My experience with Jim Ellis Hyundai was nothing but superb. My salesperson Lou Hammersmith was very professional, knowledgeable on the products, and attentive to my needs. No beating around the bush, no sugarcoating, but cutting to the chase, which exactly what I wanted. The whole process was flawless and smooth, and the finance person Eric Kim finished my deal promptly and graciously. I had a big smile on me as I drove off in my new 2015 Genesis 3.8 AWD Ultimate package!

I purchased my 2014 Santa Fe from Jim Ellis Hyundai in June 2016 and everyone was so helpful. My salesperson Bradford promised at the time of purchase that when I come back for my first oil change that he would have the small chipped paint areas fixed. Well today I came in and they did just that. I am so greatful that they kept their word and not to mention...I didn't mind waiting in those comfortable recliner chairs!! I love this place!

If I could give 0 I would. I bought a car there, paid a down payment via check, which was subsequently withdrawn from my bank. Then, it they continued to try to cash the check, and since the money had already been taken out, I got hit with fees (they did pay me for these, so maybe 1/2 a star for that). I still do not understand what happened. They said the issue was with their processor, the processor said the issue was with them. I don't really care. All I know is that I have spent hours on the phone with my bank and their processor trying to figure this out. This has been going on for 3 weeks. No one at the dealership has as much as reached out to apologize for this mess. It is, quite literally, the least they could've done.

I really don't know who's at "fault" if there is such a thing, all I know is that I wrote them a check that they cashed (I have a copy of the check with their endorsement on it!). But the treatment of the customer (me) is truly disgraceful. There are other places to buy a Hyundai. Go there instead.

When my daughter and I walked in we were met by Eddie Thornton with a great smile and knowledge about our selection. Even though it was right before closing, we got the attention of everyone, from the manager to finance. We knew it was going to be a good experience. They were tough, but negotiated fairly and in the end we feel we got a great deal. Their lifetime warranty beyond the 10 yr 100K was outstanding, the best I've seen in my 62 years. I wanted a dealership I could trust to take care of my daughter. Bravo Jim Ellis Hyundai Atlanta!

Do not try to trade in your vehicle here if you're a Hyundai owner. They lack honor. I was given a $500 lift on carmax $5,000 quote. After walking and getting a higher quote at $6,000 they said they would match and to bring it in next week. Now the quote has "expired" and they said $5,500 again. After giving me the run around, they reviewed the car and came down all the way to $3,400 due to dents on the roof which have been evident since the get-go.

One edit: the staff is very nice there. Azonti was super welcoming and helpful.

I absolutely recommend this Genesis/Hyundai dealership above all the others in the entire metro Atlanta area! Trust me because I dealt with several (5 others) and this one was the best to work with and the only one that I could trust. It was a pleasure to work with the GM Scott Johnson and my salesman David Kim. Both were fantastic and they were prompt, helpful, friendly and most important to me, they are honest. They made my buying experience EASY and actually really enjoyable and came through for me big time.

I was very apprehensive about the process being long and unduly complicated but the sales person Chuck Alderman made the experience easier and things went smoothly. I got a great deal -a certified used car that is like brand new. All my requests were honored in a timely fashion. I would definitely recommend this dealership.

Very friendly and accommodating atmosphere, to the point and very great at listening to your preferences and concerns when guiding and showing the cars you really want! If it wasn't for Lamar, the sales/friend, I wouldn't have bought my Hyundai Santa Fe 2020! Compared to the other places I had visited (Honda/Toyota), Hyundai was the most welcoming and eager to listen and go to the ends of the world to meet my needs. I was super happy for my decision and purchase! Even the finance guy, Sam Patel, came through and made the purchase side very enjoyable and benefiting me and Hyundai equally. Thank you!!

Great car, great sales people. I will consider buying another Genesis from your dealership. I had Lexus, BMW, Toyotas, corvettes. This is our first Genesis. We were a Toyota/Lexus family before. Biggest challenge is to convince my wife to buy Genesis instead of German/Lexus cars. After she drives the car, she likes it. It is her personal car now. We were that close to buying a Lexus instead. No regret. Buying the Genesis was a right decision.

I brought my car in today to have a remote program...

I brought my car in today to have a remote programmed for it. I must say...it was the BEST experience I ever had at a car dealership service dept. Peter Damianeas took care of me immediately upon my arrival and my car was completed when promised. They also washed and vacuumed my car which wasn't expected. I got door to door service!
When I walked to my car I noticed my temporary tag had gotten wet and ripped so Peter immediately took action and took the tag off and taped it onto one of Jim Ellis temporary plastic tags and replaced it on my car! This guy is great in showing the customer that they are #1 and Jim Ellis aims to please!
Thanks so much Peter!!!

NOTE: Why am I so surprised? My car wasn't even purchased at Jim Ellis yet he treated me as if it was. I will not hesitate to come to them again.

After test driving nearly (10) 2015 Genesis Sedans...

After test driving nearly (10) 2015 Genesis Sedans (used of course), I was left disappointed. As with most off-lease vehicles, I was aware and looking for signs of neglect, failed or improper maintenance, and potential mechanical issues. Having jumped from dealership to dealership, some Hyundai, some private, and being disappointed in the overall condition of these "low mileage" off-lease Genesis Sedan (2nd Generation), I found a plethora of 2015 units at Jim Ellis.

When I say plethora, I really mean, rows upon rows. I consider myself pretty knowledgeable when it comes to cars, so I spent a decent amount of time researching every unit the dealership had in stock.

The tires were all swapped out for MXM4's (one of the top grand touring tires for this particular vehicle), and maintenance history seemed to be spot on. While some carfax reports show large gaps between service, most, if not all of the vehicles in stock at Jim Ellis were properly serviced. They do their homework when purchasing and bringing in off-lease vehicles from other states/dealers.

My particular unit (2015 Genesis Sedan 3.8 AWD Ultimate) was brought in from Nevada, one owner (an obvious requirement), with all maintenance history performed at the local Nevada Hyundai dealership. After a quick test drive and visual inspection, I decided it was the one. The car was in immaculate condition (24,000 miles on the odo). The vehicle I decided on had an Ivory interior (basically white) and it could have passed for a brand new vehicle. My co-workers were pretty shocked when they realized it was a CPO model.

To cut things short, Billy Jung (my salesman) was nothing short of extraordinary, and was probably the first person to offer me a vehicle purchasing experience that didn't feel like a straight up con. I was confident in his judgement from the get go. He seemed almost too polite and humble to be working as a "salesman" but we all know there are good people out there. I cannot say enough good things about Mr. Billy Jung... really. If you have a problem with him... there may be something wrong with YOU.

People bash on Hyundai's level of service, as opposed to the Lexus experience, but while Hyundai does not offer the "Lexus" dealership experience with fine waiting rooms etc., this dealership does NOT skimp out on the customer service. This is also where you find most of the savings over the GS350 (in this case, as I had purchase a Genesis Sedan).

Every single person, from Mylesha (the lady who took my reservations), to Billy Jung (my favorite salesman to date), to the business/finance manager (Sam Patel), all provided us with a purchasing experience bar none. To be honest I knew going into Jim Ellis that their reputation was great (just check their Google reviews), but by the time I was signing, I realized it was well justified.

Let me say this again... there are multiple Hyundai dealerships in the Georgia (Atlanta) area. Save yourself some time and peace of mind and visit Jim Ellis first. I had initially tried to reach out to Rick Case (they are local to me) but was dissatisfied with their level of service even prior to even looking at a unit. Rick Case also has a much smaller inventory (by quite a large margin) so I would have a hard time recommending them over Jim Ellis, regardless of price.

The fact that Jim Ellis met my... quite OCD/ridiculous standards for anything used (almost unrealistic, they are used cars after all) says dividends.

I truly appreciate and am still baffled at how the purchasing experience went. I drove home that day (accompanied by my father who the car is partially for) in silence. It almost seemed too good to be true, but they made it happen. It's been over a week since the purchase, and the car still runs "like new." :)

I purchased a 2020 Hyundai Elantra GT N-Line from Jim Ellis Hyundai a few days ago. My salesman, Kenny Gaynor, made the purchase almost painless (paying was not painless ). I am very impressed with how professional the entire process was from the moment we walked into the dealership until we left with my new GT. Kenny kept us informed during each stage of the sale and made sure we were comfortable.
I recommend Jim Ellis Hyundai without hesitation. Ask for Kenny if you d like a non-pressured, fun, yet professional car shopping experience.

My Appointment was at 5, but I showed up about 4:30. They still got me in and out quickly. Even though I had to wait a little longer than normal.

I always have a good experience here and the staff is very professional.

Got a great deal on a 2015 Genesis in March 2018. When my wife and I went to pick it up it was virtually perfect. The sales person was so nice and we consider her a friend after our purchase experience. Today we had our first trip to the service department. All items were completed as promised and it is clear that the service department is helpful. The person scheduling the appointment took Into consideration our drive from Chattanooga without even being asked. The car was received cleaned and washed. What great customer service.

I had the BEST car buying experience here! Lawrence Pardy was the nicest, no pressure car salesman, I have had the pleasure of working with. He is friendly and efficient. I bought a used Toyota Highlander. He and the finance director, Hau-B Cao, were so accommodating and quick. our whole experience from walking in the door through walking out the door with my keys to my "new" to me SUV, was amazing and took less than 2 hours. I can't say enough wonderful things about these two individuals and this dealership.

The customer service there is top notch!

I stopped by after work to look at a certified pre-owned Santa Fe Sport that I had viewed online. I was visiting from Augusta, about 2 hours away, and it was later in the evening by the time I arrived. The sales agent I was working with, David Kim, was great! He took the time to review all of the details of the vehicle with me. Since I came by the dealership right after work, he even offered to grab me something to eat.

David and the rest of the staff made the use car buying process as stress free as possible. I never felt under pressure at any time. I highly recommend Jim Ellis Hyundai, and will definitely go there again in the future when considering a new vehicle.

3 employees handing the service area with a line a mile long, while they claim to be the busiest in the South East -- I'm not sure I'd brag about that fact, considering nobody wants to service their vehicle and "the busiest seems to indicate a large number of broken vehicles. I contacted Jim Ellis Hyundai last week to ask for an at-home test drive. They contacted me first thing the next morning and brought the car to me within hours. My salesperson, Shawn Huger, was amazing! He educated me about all the features of the car, a 2021 Kona, and let me see if it fit inside my garage comfortably. He followed all Covid-19 precautions which made me feel safe. Later that day, he shared the financial details I'd requested. I was really impressed with Hyundai's and Jim Ellis' rebates and specials this month! Shawn followed up with me the following day, and I was able to have my husband test drive w/me. We agreed we love the car, and Shawn made it happen! I went back Monday morning, met w/the Finance Mgr, Mark Smolyar, and everything was presented to me as discussed. I was out the door in my brand new Kona within an hour's time! This has been one of the smoothest car buying experiences I have ever had...it was low-pressure sales tactics, great customer responsiveness and service, and a really good financial package. I was so happy to drive my new car home! I would definitely recommend going to Jim Ellis Hyundai Atlanta!

Up until my most recent service visit, I was very pleased with the customer service and quality of repairs performed on my vehicle. My most recent visit, however, took 7.5 hours to perform, when initially was only supposed to take 2. I now have a weird wind-rush sound coming from my engine compartment and 3 ft long scratch down the passenger side of my vehicle that the dealership is not addressing. I highly doubt I will be taking my vehicle to Jim Ellis Hyundai for future service.

I was very impressed with the service department at this dealership. My service advisor Matt took great care of me. Found a couple of things that needed to be fixed, but showed them to my husband and he agreed, so he was being thorough. Because of the additional things I had to wait a little longer - Matt loaned me a charger for both my phone and my iPad. When I was ready to leave, he cleaned everything that people touch in the car with disinfectant wipes (this is during the pandemic). I felt extremely comfortable there - kind of a relaxed environment. I will go back.

The service department is laughable.

I went in on a Friday. I had a rattle in my passenger side door panel area. Mike and I were able to reproduce it, and he told me he would order a new door panel--I was supposed to call him on Monday to remind him. I shouldn't have to remind him--that's his job. I forgot to call Monday, and called Tuesday--he said he'd order it and I should be able to come in on Thursday to have the work done. Ok, great.

I call Thursday morning, and can't get a hold of Mike; I spoke with a lady who informed me Mike was in a meeting; however, everything was good, and I could come by. I asked if they had a loaner car, because Mike said I could drop it off in the morning, I could get a loaner for the day, and come back to pick it up. They didn't have any loaners; so, I couldn't do it Thursday. I decided I'd do it a week from that Thursday. The lady said I could come by around 10-11am and drop it off.

Fast forward to the following Thursday. I called in the morning and got a hold of Mike. He sounded unsure of why I was calling, and more importantly--confused. He knew I was supposed to be coming in on a Thursday to get this work done. He said he could probably fit me in if I got there around 10:15am--which wasn't doable for me. He also informed me that I would be unable to get a loaner because I'm not 21 (which is fine, not anybody's fault). I asked if I could come in this Saturday (today). He said he wouldn't be there, but that he would let Bruce know I was stopping by at around 10:45am.

So, I showed up today, 10:26am. Bruce was busy, so I was working with another representative. This rep said that there was nothing in the system for an appointment, no parts or door panels had been ordered for me, the parts department didn't have any door panels, and that Mike never let Bruce know I was coming--(Bruce confirmed that). The rep called Mike and texted him--but no immediate response. I asked if I could wait for 30min just to see if maybe he'd respond. Nothing happened--I waited for 28min, then left.

At the start of all of this, I made it clear that I can't come in on a normal weekday--and that Thursdays are ideal for me, but only if I had a way to leave the dealership. I commute to college on the weekdays, (this dealership happens to be on my way, making it the sole reason I'm going here), and only have a single class on Thursday. I understand that I won't be able to get a loaner--so I opted to come in today (on a Saturday) to have this work done. Driving all the way there, only to find out it was a waste of my time and gas.

Mike is the one at fault here; it doesn't seem like any of the service reps convey information to one another--or that they aren't formally documenting appointments and such. It's aggravating to say the least. I never once received the notion that Mike gave a crap about me; he always seemed like I was inconveniencing him or something, tended to be rude.

Edit: So, I ended up going back, having them work on it for 2-3hrs, then I left, and the problem still exists. Turns out they didn't work on the area I had told them rattled. They worked on the pillar, when it was the door I had showed Mike that had the issue. Great. Ended up going back yesterday. Mike wasn't there, and he didn't leave proper instructions on what they were supposed to do. I wait for 2hrs, the Service Rep. comes to me and tells me they can't do anything because Mike isn't there. Apparently, it takes 2hrs to determine that. I was told Mike would call me this morning (which hasn't happened yet) and I'll probably have to go back again. To top it off, the service rep who helped me was a smoker, so of course, she had to drive my car; the interior smelled like cigarettes for the rest of the day. This all has spanned over almost a month. It should have taken maybe two trips to solve. Instead, (assuming the next time I go is the last), it has taken nearly 5 visits. It has wasted hours of my time and money (fuel). Unbelievable how something so simple has turned into something complex.

I've been taking my car to Jim Ellis Hyundai exclusively ever since I bought it in 2015. I know it's in good hands with them, Cedric and his team have taken great care of my baby. Plus, they're reasonably priced too. The only way I'd go anywhere else is if I moved to another state.

I can't say enough about my recent positive experi...

I can't say enough about my recent positive experience from Jim Ellis Hyundai in Atlanta. I had a faulty windshield wiper and my service advisor, Danon Henton, arranged to have a technician come to my work location to replace it right away. The service was prompt, courteous and professional and I would recommend this location for your Hyundai needs.

Terrible reception..sales guy called so many times...

Terrible reception..sales guy called so many times inviting me to look at a car. After going to the showroom he gave me astronomical figures and telling me everyone around inflates the price but they are not. I got a quote $6,500 more than other dealer on a palisade limited.. Don't buy any car just visiting them but shop around. They are trying to rip off

Everyone at Jim Ellis Hyundai that I had the pleasure to meet greeted me with a warm smile and listened to my needs. The exact color combination that we wanted was not available but the dealership went out of their way to search the local inventory and bring in the exact vehicle that my wife and I wanted from another Hyundai dealership. My salesman, Karl Jiram, was very patient and professional throughout the entire buying experience. I'm happy with the purchase we made, a 2015 Santa Fe Limited with the Ultimate package. I will certainly make this dealership my first stop next time I am in the market for a new vehicle.
