If you are confident in understanding what your needs are then they will find the right car for you. Jake, the Sales Manager, will definitely work with you if you are serious about buying a car. I'm really happy with my 2018 Elantra. Not a 5 because detailing department is inconsistent and not always open during business hours.
I dont usually leave reviews. actually... I think this is the only one I've ever left but i have to say my experience at Hyundai of Athens was AWESOME!!! Make sure to ask for Carlo, AKA "The Godfather". Super nice, not pushy, and worked for me to get the best deal possible! Great staff that works together as a team made my 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe purchase a pleasure! Also thanks to Mr. Littlejohn stepping in when needed for a test drive and really went over the vehicle in detail with me and hooked me up with the myhyundai "blue link" system. That's awesome! Carlo even got the headrest DVD/HDMI units installed for me!
This is a sweet luxury ride.. If your looking for a 3 row SUV look no further. I gaurantee you its the best bang for the buck! I got this thing at a better deal brand new than I was about to give for a 2014 Acura MDX.. I like the Santa Fe better and it actually has features that the Acura does not have. In my comparrison the Santa Fe also beat out the Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander, Nissan Pathfinder, Kia Sorrento, Ford Explorer and Chevy Traverse (yes i did my homework). It really made my decision easy. The Awesome Hyundai package that they have there in Athens is a great bonus when a new vehicle as well..
Very clean, new facillity.. very comfortable and nice courtesy area for customers to enjoy while there.. My wife had no idea. They helped me get it to her work as a suprise with baloons..etc. To say it was a suprise is an understatement.

I bought my first car at Hyundai of Athens and I had such a great experiece. Joseph Swanner was very knowledgeable and helpful and was not pushy at all. It was a great experience all around!
I arrived an hour and 15 minutes early for my sercicing hoping to get in and done with my oil change. I was told it was awesome and that it would be about an hour. I sat in the lobby from 12:45pm til 1pm and no one came to give me any updates so I took it upon myself to go check on my vehicles servicing. Upon going out to check I noticed that my car hadn't even been moved. I asked what was going on with it not being serviced and I was told I came during lunch hour and that they'd go ahead and get started on it soon. I'm not sure if that's regular practice at the Hyundai of Athens, but I was very disappointed. I would've liked to have been told that upon arriving and if not, at least updated on the time of servicing taking longer.
My family and I had a stellar experience buying our first car last Summer. Iman was our sales associate, and he and Jake did a terrific job finding a car and making themselves available to help us whenever we needed it. They were very creative in getting us the car we wanted, and Iman did superlative work getting the car to the dealership and setting us up. We never felt pressured to make a purchase, and they treated us with earnest understanding. I heartily recommend Iman and Jake at Hyundai.
Had what seemed to be a pretty serious issue. The service center worked me in for an assessment within a few minutes. Turned out not to be serious at all but they went ahead and applied a recall software update while they had the car.

Very horrible pressure sales people. They send your information to many third parties without your permission. These third parties send horrible letters to you when they should not even have your information to begin with. They do not respond when you question their shady moves.
I had a real bad experience. Regretting why did I even go here the first place.
There was an issue with the clock spring, they fixed it. But then there was a grinding rubbing noise while turning the steering. I took another appointment next day. The guy at the service reception was very rude. He said that it didn't seem like an issue, to which I asked it in writing. So he agreed to get it checked but he said, they got a lot of cars to look for the day so can't tell how long is it gonna take. *Dude what's the point of having an appointment?*
Later on they fixed this issue. Was a loose part (their mistake).
After coming home and driving at night I now realize that one of the headlights is not working. It seems like they fix one thing and create a new issue on every visit.
Please don't visit this one.

Buying a car with Kaitlyn was so easy. She is very knowledgeable about the various Hyundai models and excellent with technology. She even checked back with us 2 days later to be sure all was good with us and the use of the car. Great sales person and felt very comfortable with her personality, knowledge and suggestions.
Brought my vehicle in with a problem with the air conditioner. It is covered under warranty and need to order parts. Scheduled the service. Parts were mislabeled and could not complete repair. Ordered the parts again. Wrong parts came in again. Was told this happened once before and it took months to resolve. Expected a follow up call later today but nothing. My concern is this will drag out and it will pass the warranty period. Glad it s not in the middle of the summer. Not so much a dealer problem but it is a problem.

I recently took my car to Hyundai of Athens to get two recalls done. I was very pleased with the service that I received. Initially I was told that it would take 1 hour and 15 minutes but it ended up being 2 hours. It was ok because I wasn't pressed for time.
Nice, efficient, and didn t try to push anything extra on me while getting my car serviced. I came prepared for a 1.5-2 hour wait to get an oil change but was in and out in 45 minutes which was amazing!

AGGRESSIVE experience. The salesman was with a crew at the dealership there to promote sales. They were from the North. Therefore, he doesn't work at this dealership all of the time. This was a few weeks ago after the dealership sent out mass ads in the mail. I must admit I needed a car. However, the forceful nature of the dealership trying to get the sell was RIDICULOUS. I originally told them I didn't want to try for a car due to previous credit issues. They insisted on trying. They literally made it seem as though my current car and loan was just awful. I honestly had to argue a few times with the salesman. I never argue! His attitude and demeanor was horrible. He talked to me as if I was DUMB! I should have immediately LEFT. Then, he said while Russ works with the bank let's go look for a car. He chose the car, I said I didn't like red or blue. Then he goes to state it's better than what you're driving! I then stated if I'm going to buy a car, I want to like the color. I ended up finding a color that worked and I did get a new car. However, the entire experience was AWFUL. I will be trading this car for a car I really want next year. I DEFINITELY WILL NOT BUY IT FROM HYUNDAI OF ATHENS! I have told my family and friends the same. Via, Facebook, IG, and Snapchat.
Scheduled a test drive for a car. Had a confirmation email sent to me the day of saying it was still availvble. Drove out to Athens from Loganville for the car to be "sold" last night or that morning. However the car is still available now. We also told them our price range and they tried to sell us another car for $7,000 above our budget. Will not go here ever again for car shopping.
Service department has a slow response time. Be prepared to be a advocate for yourself. YOU will have to call them back. However, after speaking with Jake the Service manager, he has assisted in getting my car issues resolved in a expedient and professional manner.

Very pleasant. Staff are quite friendly and knowledgeable. We did not plan on buying a car, just wanted a test drive to compare with other makes for later decision. But we were offered a great price and do like the Elantra. Very happy with the car, the deal, and the staff at Hyundai of Athens. We feel they are honest and care about their customers.
Service was great, nice, helpful people. But....... i was told what they serviced fixed my issue. But it in fact did not. I still have no brake lights. Sounds as though tech did not actually check to see if issue had actually been fixed.

While super polite (why they got 2 stars), I have been incredibly frustrated with the service department. After bringing my car in for recalls, I couldn't get a ride to work from them. Fortunately my husband was free and could drive me. While my car was there they found out why my windshield wiper fluid didn't work - it was the pump. Good news, still under warranty. Bad news, the part was not in stock. We'd have to come back in a few days - more time away from work for both my husband and I. Still, they messaged me an appointment for 3 days later that was convenient, so we again drove out and left my car. Not, 45 minutes later, they called me to say that they didn't have the part in - AFTER they had set up the appointment to replace the part. They were apologetic, polite, but wow, incredibly frustrating. After assuring me the part would be in and I could again bring my car in the next day, I told them I was too busy and would make an appointment later. Now, over a week later, I have spent 25 minutes on hold, left a message that was not returned and called 4 times to see if the part has arrived and if I can get it replaced. I've been happy with my Hyundai, but NOT with the service at Hyundai of Athens. (BTW, I've currently been on hold for over 10 minutes waiting to see if the part is in and make an appointment. Whoops, we're up to 14. Thank God for the speaker function.)

I have been looking for my dream jeep for a long time and I found the one here!! When I went to look at it Mackenzie came right out and talked to me about it. It was just traded in so I wasn t able to test drive yet but when I was able to, I fell in love. She made sure everything was fixed properly before I drove it off. And I couldn t be more happy and thankful for her and Hyundai of athens! I would definitely recommend them

This has been just about one of the worst experiences ever with a company. They never call me back. I have reached out a number of times for various reasons. I called the managers with just as little communication! I bring my car in for warranty claims and they complained that I showed up! You mean to tell me that you are upset because I m bringing you business?!? I d rather buy a horse and carriage than buy another Hyundai!
They had great service when I got there but then when i wasn't sure they git so pushy i left came back a second time and they refused to show me the final price of the car until i told them that i would buy the car. Who agrees to buy a car without knowing the numbers! And the financial manager came and touched my hat without my permission! Very rude! Never ever coming here or referring a friend to this

My wife and I had an appointment with our Genesis to have something looked at that was under warranty. Within 15 minutes the service advisor came to us with the problem. The problem was fixed right away and we also went ahead and had oil and filter changed also. During our short time there we had a number of people come to us and ask us about everything from turning the station on one of 3 TV's, coffee, comfort and just engage in conversation. The seating was very comfortable and believe me that no one likes to sit at a dealership and wait on car service but this dealership goes overboard to make you as comfortable as possible. I highly recommend this dealership for your services. I never write reviews but this dealership was worth my time of doing this.

I went to Hyundai of Athens for an oil change. They sent me in building to sit in comfortable chair and tv available to watch. It only took 30-40 minutes to get it done. I paid and was on my way. The service writer was friendly.
Worst car dealership experience of my life. You would think trained mechanics can do an oil change in less than 4 hours but I guess that s not the case. I can do it myself in 30 mins but I just take to the dealership for warranty s sake.
It s a rainy morning at 8:30 am, I usually make an appointment but this time I didn t because I didn t think I needed one that early. I asked at the beginning of walking in what an approximate wait time was and I got a response of an hour, so I waited. 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours go by and I finally get an invoice for recommendations of $448 for a forced induction cleaning, balancing, and some other stuff. Yep, that s right, 10x more than the regular oil change was trying to be pitched to me after the wait. Then I wait for another 20-30 mins, and finally the car is done. Never have seen this with any car I ve had. Around the office, there is no sense of urgency or respect of time and everyone moves very slow. Let s just say I m not ever using Hyundai at Athens anymore. Honestly it has me kind of turned off from Hyundai now, this will be my last car from them.

Truth-worthy people in the service department, they won't try to scam you. They will let you know if there is a genuine problem with your vehicle and that is it.

This was my 2nd visit to the Athens Hyundai service department, but the first as a paying customer. Both times I was greeted by a friendly service manager who helped me decide on the level of service my 2012 Sonata Hybrid needed. Once decided he led me to the waiting area. The time passed relatively quickly since I looked the showroom cars over before settling down to answer some emails (yes, they have free wifi) and waited for the routine maintenance to be completed. Once done I was told my car would be ready as soon as they finished washing it! The only disappointment was that the free car wash apparently did not include cleaning the interior of the car. I know that is a small thing and I only mention it because otherwise it was a very professional experience. Kudos overall! Welcome to Athens!

Very poor transparency from the service department. I have an 2015 Hyundai sonata hybrid tow there Monday morning june 1st It is now Saturday june 6. I have Yet to receive an call from Jesse who is an service advisor. To give me an update concerning my vehicle of any kind. I have called the service department several times concerning the status of my vehicle. I still haven't heard anything. I was having issues with the charging system. I will keep you guys updated on my experience with this dealership.
Don't go there thinking the number on your mailer is the prize you win! Read the fine print. Also don't take the "$25 restaurant gift card" I went online to redeem and you basically have to spend $75 at a few locations to receive $25 off.. was definitely not explained that way! Save your time unless you're searching for a car. The guy that helped me named Ron was a nice guy. Go see him if you're in the market to buy!
I never thought that I would put the words pleasant and car shopping in the same sentence but Mackenzie and the team at Hyundai of Athens made that possible. I went into there with an open mind and Makenzie found me exactly what I wanted and more. The entire experience from the minute I stepped into the door and was greeted by the manager to when I walked out of the finance office to my new 2020 Santa Fe Limited and Makenzie was there to snap a quick pick and give me one last breakdown of the features that my new baby had to offer. I was given exceptional service. Everyone was very polite and accommodating. I am very disappointed that the AC compressor went out in my 2012 Hyundai Sonata with only 68,000 miles. I have never had to replace a compressor in any of my previous vehicles. This is the first Hyundai I have ever owned.

Mackenzie and Makayla are so friendly and extremely helpful! My car engine blew up and when I called to inquire on trade in value on my old car to get a new one, Mackenzie was my salesperson and she answered all of my questions thoroughly and timely. The car I initially wanted wasn t available immediately so they were quick to let me borrow the same one in a different color until mine was available at the dealership. Mackenzie was great with communication during the process and overall took a huge load of stress off my back! Makayla stepped in to help me when Mackenzie was busy assisting other customers and she also was super sweet and incredibly helpful :) you would be in great hands with either of these lovely ladies. Great experience!
Stopped at this dealership this evening to check out the new crossover, the Palisade. We were greeted at the door and I asked the person that opened the door about the new Palisade, considering their website shows having 1. We were told that the general manager was using it as a demo car and would not be back until sometime tomorrow afternoon. I find it very bad business that you have 1 of a new model vehicle, and I guess the general manager feels it is more important for him to drive it rather that the vehicle be there for a consumer to see and test drive before ordering one. I told the person that greeted us how I felt and that I would not be doing business there and would find a different Hyundai dealership to purchase from. His response, oh well. If I could have rated this below 1 I would have. Amazing, to never step foot inside and be able to give a review like this. I am hoping to find out the owner of the dealership and let that person know of my experience.

I bought in a coupon for an oil change and tire rotation and it was suggested that I not get the tire rotation because I need new tires soon. I was not given a discount on my oil change. Will not return for that reason.
Took my 2010 Elantra in for a strange noise in engine compartment. I was immediately welcomed by Jon Mansfield, Asst. Service Mgr, and felt confident he would help. He and his team found the problem, told me the cost, & gave me a loaner while mine was being repaired. While I was waiting in the customer lounge, other employees from sales through to maintenance took time to introduce themselves and talk with me. I am very pleased with the resulting fix. I even returned to get my tires replaced. Overall, I give them the highest rating. Customer satisfaction is their job and they do it very well.
My wife and I went to have our car looked at for a mechanical problem. While waiting we were looking around at vehicles. A short time later we drove out in a 2016 Elantra. Our experience was very very good, and Natasha and Chris did exceptional work in helping us get this vehicle. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a new vehicle.

They have changed management, and new management is very rude to customers. They no longer give good customer service at all. I had to call 3 times to get a price for oil change and got hung up on twice. Then, when I asked to speak to manager, the gentleman put me on hold then picked it up again thinking I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. I would not reconmend going here. They said they changed my oil filter and when I went else where they confirmed that they did not do so at all. Marked on one tire to see where they would rotate it and they didn't even rotate it last time. And even tried to argue with me when I showed them that they didn't rotate them. Do not go there at all. It is a waist of your time and they rip you off.

However, we decided to go home that we may go over things and pray about it.
The next day we spoke with Jake and David. We decided to buy the car.
David took time to explained all the technology in our beautiful car, we named Silver Bell.
The whole experience from beginning to end was pleasant. We were impressed how David and every one went the second mile for us.
We are thankful and grateful to do business at Hyundai of Athens.

This was my first service here. Normally I use another dealer. But we ve moved so the Athens dealer was much more convenient. And it was fantastic. I will definitely come back whenever my vehicle needs service.

Actually service was great as was time availability. My only issue...when you purchase a new car and they give you a coupon book for free oil changes...you HAVE to have that coupon. We purchased a $30,000 vehicle. We should be in your system!!!
The service department is very accomodating. We had to change our appointment a couple of times that day to work with our changing schedule and they worked with us and got us in. Very efficient and the people were friendly.
As car repairs go, this was a pleasant experience. Wyman was more than polite and helpful. Everything was explained and transparent. Work was done correctly the first time, and I feel confident driving my car. Will return to this dealer without hesitation.
