I relocated to Colorado from Tennessee where I was a Barn Manager, moving to Colorado I wanted to change my career. I had never been to a staffing agency and I met with Karen Booher for my first meeting; She was fantastic, Karen explained to me what her job was and how she was going to help me and she took the time to get to know me before suggesting jobs I might like. Karen matched me with the perfect job and I couldn't be more thankful.

I moved to Denver a few months back without a job and went to almost every staffing agency in the city. All told me I was very marketable and they would get me a job in a few weeks. I never received a call or an interview through any of those agencies and would call and email them every day to no response. I then stumbled upon J. I have nothing but excellent things to say regarding my experience with J Kent Staffing. I recently moved to Denver and contacted several staffing agencies in the area. J Kent contacted me a few days later and within a week I was employed. I have worked with multiple staffing agencies and J Kent has provided me with a great job, good pay, and all the help I could ask for. They work with great companies and really listen to your requirements and needs. I would 100% recommend J Kent to anyone who is looking for a temp job, or even a temp to hire position.

Not terribly impressed, follow up post interview was not as I expected. I personally would not recommend this staffing firm to someone who is looking for more than a temp assignment.

We've sourced several temps through J Kent, and with very good success. I especially like how quickly we can spin someone up on a project through them. The people we've worked with have the right skill set and are quick learners.

After finishing with the Immigration process, I began my job search, not knowing where to start or how my qualifications would compare with jobs in the U.S. I received a call from J. Kent Staffing after applying on one of their job postings. They were able to find me the perfect job within a very short time frame. I was very impressed with the priority they gave to my application. I highly recommend J. Kent Staffing and would definitely use them again if the need arises.

I used J Kent to get work in Denver while I lived there for six months with my girlfriend who is a traveling nurse. They had plenty of opportunities so I could work when I wanted to and when I was available. There were often times multiple options for work so I could choose what I wanted to do. The woman who interviewed me (her name was Karen) showed up late, wouldn t let me speak and was extremely rude, She interrupted me a second after asking me a question as if I wasn t worth her time. I tried to be as polite as possible but I could really tell she didn t care. I felt discarded. She was extremely unprofessional. Others on staff seemed very kind and professional, I hope whoever applies here has a positive experience with a different member of the staff.

I applied with J Kent Staffing and received a call from an agent the same day. I had an appointment with them the following morning to interview with the agent. My agent was really attentive and thorough, and I was assigned to a position that very day.

All through the process of starting my contract and during my time at this postiion, J Kent was very helpful and available. Whenever I had a question I could reach my agent directly, and they alerted me whenever I forgot my time sheet submission or to follow-up with them.

I have been working with Danielle Norris for only a couple of weeks for temp work. So far she has been great! She's in constant contact with me about the jobs she sends me to and prospective opportunities to make sure that they re a good fit for me. In the first week she got me a placement and two interviews. In the second week she found me a placement. Needless to say she is very enthusiastic about finding me work!

Just to compare I signed up with another agency at the same time. Since then I have had one call from them, in the second week, about a potential placement. They told me they would call me back and I haven t heard back from them.

These guys are very professional and seem to have high quality clients. They can sometimes take some time to get back to you though and their testing software is outdated. Overall those two things don't compare with the high quality clients they have. Very happy with them.

I'm a college student who is from Denver, Colorado and I have worked with J. Kent Staffing for numerous temporary jobs over the last year. J. Kent Staffing always treats their employees with respect and importance. When employees are sent to do temporary occupations J. Kent provides very clear information and goes above and beyond the typical requirements of dress code, pay rate, job description, etc by stating things such as "...please try to use public transportation or get dropped off" within the job information. If you are employed with a relatively long term temp job, J. Kent goes the extra distance to check up with you to make sure that the co-workers and the working environment are suitable for you. I have personally never felt like J. Kent has ever placed me in an unacceptable work space or just a bad job in general.

Being a college kid, I needed to make a decent amount of money to live off of during my first semester (for extra food, marching band fees, etc). Through J. Kent Staffing, I was able to get a stable, temporary job during the summer of 2013 (more specifically, June-August). With lots of cash in my bank account, I was ready to tackle college with no money stress.

J. Kent is a Denver staffing agency that seems to have a good variety of opportunities. I have worked all kinds of office jobs and also done different events. They do a pretty thorough review process with you to make sure they place you in a job that fits what you are looking for but they have always been open to letting me try other types of jobs. You can turn in your resume and do the initial testing form home so it is on your own time and then they ask you several questions during the interview to get a good sense of your skills and what type of job you want. Even though I am still looking for work, it has helped me in job interviews to say that I have experience with many difference databases because of my various temp jobs. They also staff events, such as the parade of lights, which is always an interesting experience and works great if you aren't available during normal 9-5 hours. I have only really worked the temp side of the company because that is what I told them I wanted to focus on but I know they also do temp to hire and permanent placing. If you are new to Denver or looking for work- part time or full time- I recommend starting with J. Kent.

Have worked with J Kent staffing for three months and has been a good experience. There are lots of different and exciting jobs they offer, that can last just for the day or positions that last up too a month. Of course if you do a good job the position you temp for could turn into a permanent. All the other J Kent employees I have worked with are amazing people that also go for the staff they employ. If you are thinking about signing up, do it you wont regret it.

J. Kent is fantastic! Not only did they place me at my dream job where I became a permanent employee but when I unfortunately lost this job due to the pandemic, they were able to find me other placements that work well with my skillset. Every other employee I have met that has also been placed through J. Kent have been kind and competent. I recommend their services for both finding a job and finding employees.

T E R R I B L E. Had applied for a position through the company on indeed (I currently have a great job that is being relocated to another state in a few months, so I am trying to keep my options open).

The phone conversation I had with Kara Cooper was terrible as she was working remotely. I couldn t hear anything that was being said, only bits and pieces. I explained to her that the phone was breaking up and I could hardly hear her multiple times throughout the call. Towards the end of her conversation, the phone disconnected. There were no attempts to call me back at a later time to go over anything I may have missed. I then received an email confirmation of our appointment. I took a long lunch and drove all the way to the office (about a 30 minute drive one way for me). Just as I park outside the office 15 MINUTES prior to our appointment, Kara calls to let me know she is not in the office due to a family matter and will need to reschedule. I was very understanding but still leery.

My appointment was rescheduled for today, the following week after our original appointment. Again, I took a long lunch and drove down a SECOND time for an 11:30 appointment only to be told that Kara didn t have me in the calendar until 1:30, she was not in the office and she would not be back until 1:00. I was very generously offered to patiently wait for her arrival, but at this point I felt as though my time did not matter to Kara, and I was being treated as something beneath her. I ve now wasted two hours just in commute time, almost a full tank of gas, and I ve taken two hours off of my job. I called her cell phone after leaving the office and spoke with her a bit about my frustrations and she chuckles and tells me, no, I am here! This place is a joke and the communication is GREATLY lacking. LESSON LEARNED!

Moral of the story, this company doesn t seem to have the best communication (at least not their recruiter, Kara). Shoutout to you, KARA COOPER, as I will inform anyone I hear even thinking of working through you to avoid you like the plague. WASTE OF TIME.

They responded immediately to me when I had submitted my resume and were able to set up an appointment to meet with me within a week, and were able to find a suitable job for me as well within two weeks. The entire staff is very friendly and easy to talk with and very willing to answer any and all questions one might have. I have worked with other staffing agencies in the past and I would say that J. Kent Staffing is one of the best, not only at just finding you any job, but a job that fits what you are looking for and one where you will have an opportunity to succeed at.

Great staffing company. I was placed in a position quickly. Karen is great with communication and answering any questions pertaining to the position.

Here's my experience. The Agent named Kara Cooper was my 'rep'. She is as lackluster in her job performance as she was with her attentiveness. After we were 'introduced', she forgets about me for a whole month. I knew she must have a ton of clients, so I let it slide, calling her again to renew our new-found business strategy together. She then of course apologizes several times, and I kid you not, miraculously is able to set up our interview the next day! Now those are some lucky (wink) results!! I come early in the morning, take a simple computer skills test, the 'interview' part was literally, 11 minutes long. After feeling 'shuffled' thru as quickly as possible, ( i felt that interview was set up that fast just to get me out of her hair, seeing as how im an example of her forgetting about a client for over a month ) thats not where my frustration begins actually; its now over 6 months later. I have not heard a literal word, message, email, or anything from Mrs. Cooper since our face-to-face meeting in JUNE!
I called her last week, on Monday 31st. Her receptionist asked who was calling, told her, put me through to voicemail (apparently talking to me makes her nervous or something) where I leave a very dissatisfied voicemail, more or less expressing my malcontent with not talking to her in 6 months. I receive no calls back over the following 8 days.
Conclusion :
I called her this morning (11/10) to ask if she had completely forgotten about me, or what? She very politely wrapped up all my frustration into one, non-chalant, totally rehearsed sentence :

" Because she's obviously not looking very hard to find me a job, that made my blood boil. Because how could I trust you will contact me , if you have never done so ever; and I have made every attempt possible to move forward amicably without Kara's help?
Obviously, this is a single incident. I have no prior experience with J Kent. I am upset because as a person in-limbo switching states, any and all help is necessary. I teared up in my interview with Kara, when we discussed how my trip out to Co was (expending 6 of the 11 min interview supposedly dealing with professional careers). I spoke of wanting to provide for my family, my beautiful wife who trusted me moving us all out here. I told her i'm a college educated graphic designer, but im looking for full-time work, im up for anything. I guess my story didn't inspire her enough to actually want to help my family. I just assumed she would since, ya know, its her job.

If you need a job, in a timely way, where the rep actually cares about your success/need for money; Rep Kara Cooper is apparently the worst. I based my choice (of temp agency ) off of Google Reviews, now i'm writing another one to help someone in the future. Good Luck, and a special shout-out to Kara Cooper, you literally did nothing to help me struggle to scrape by for my family, you forgot about me, then shuffled me thru an interview so I would leave you alone.

I keep reading these reviews of people being talked to, suggested types of occupational work, personal connection with their rep, constant attention/feedback, etc. I got 0 of 5, and found myself 3 different jobs during Kara's 'thorough' search. I currently work as an Assistant Dairy Manager for Sprouts Farmers Market. You gotta do what you gotta do.

When our company realized a few needs that were temporary and quickly approaching, we reached out to J. Kent Staffing. We worked directly with Kara who was an amazing resource and answered all of our questions and concerns. The company was able to hear our needs and send us amazing employees that worked in data entry and marketing positions for a few weeks at a time. The employees were very respectful, showed up to work on time, and did very solid work. If one of the employees had an appointment, or needed a day off for an emergency, J. Pro: They found me a well-suited job within 48 hours of my application/ interview! I am pleased with the position Bailey and Danielle matched me with. In fact, this position may lead to full-time employment in the near future.

Con: I do wish I could have done the application at my home computer online rather than completing it at their office.

Karen is absolutely wonderful! She will bend so far over backwards to get you the job you want. The whole staff is amazing I have never had a problem. Even calling in to get someone else besides Karen they all are willing to help you anyways possible. I would recommend J Kent staffing to anyone looking for a job.

J Kent Staffing is a great company. I was interviewed and hired for a temporary position within days of signing on with them. The staff is very friendly and always checking in to see how I am doing. I work mainly with Danielle and she is always helpful and quick to respond to any questions or concerns that I have. I almost never write reviews, but in this case, I couldn t help but let people know what a great experience I have had with J. Kent Staffing and in particular, one of their Executive Recruiters, Karen Booher. Not only did Karen present me with several opportunities to interview with top notch companies, while looking for the perfect fit , she found and excellent temp-to-hire job that was a great position with great pay, but by my choice, not the forever job for me.
As an example of what makes J. Kent above the rest, I had recently taken a position through another staffing agency and after 2 months realized the job (and especially the executive I supported) was not what or who had been described to me. I resigned from that position and was deciding what to do next when I received an email out of the blue from Karen of J. Kent Staffing just checking in with me to see if I was happy at my job and how I was doing. I immediately wrote her back telling her of my situation and within 24 hours Karen had called me back and I am now set up to interview for an amazing opportunity this next week.

I found J Kent Staffing through Craigs List, while searching for jobs. So far in the two months that I have been with them, they have found me multiple jobs including my current job which happens to be six weeks long and ends right before Christmas. This has been perfect for me since I have my son for Christmas and want to enjoy my time off with him. I have found work through them which has lasted only a few shifts to work that has lasted a few weeks. I have enjoyed every job they have given me and found that they were able to fit my skills to my work very well. I have always had a pleasant work environment and have been very thankful for all the opportunities they have provided. Bailey is very friendly and always seems to be upbeat and positive, she has been very thorough and upfront while explaining each position and overall she is excellent at her job. My interview with Karen was both professional and pleasant. She was very easy to talk to and made me feel very comfortable throughout the interview process. Getting setup through J Kent staffing was easy and quick with no upfront costs. Overall my experience with J Kent Staffing has been very positive. I have and will keep referring them to friends looking for work. I get paid on time through a cash card, which is both easy and convenient, I know they also offer direct deposit. I couldn't have asked for a better experience than the one I had with J Kent Staffing. The process has been smooth and really enjoyable. Within days of emailing my resume for a position they posted around February 7th, I had a call from Kara with J Kent Staffing wanting to set up an interview. Kara was/is so friendly and welcoming that you really feel like you are talking to a friend and not just in an interview, which let's face it, is almost always nerve-racking. I felt so comfortable that I could really let my true self shine through and I think she could see that. She is kind, professional, and - unlike many staffing agencies - takes the time to have a real dialogue about your interests/goals. We used J Kent Staffing to fill a temporary data entry position in my office and I was extremely pleased with the person we hired. I was a temporary worker for J Kent a few years ago so I was aware of the extraordinary quality of individuals that they selected and their high level of professionalism. Our temporary worker exceeded my expectations for what I knew would be a very mundane task. He not only was very accurate and efficient, but he also took the initiative to improve upon the spreadsheet I had provided him and recorded additional information that we had not considered. Called to look for staffing of an installation project in retail stores, for a fortune 100 company. Installing new computer equipment in the store. Not even an explanation, Just an abrupt "sorry I don't think we can help you". They emphasize IT in their marketing. yet have no options or considerations for me. NOT IMPRESSED!!!
