A bustling location to get baked goods, coffee, sandwiches, and even draft beer and wine. Since this location is right on NY-13, it is sure to be packed at pretty much any time of day, and the tiny parking lot is frequently full.

Overall I'd say the food is of good quality for the price and tastes fresh. It's not going to match a gourmet restaurant experience, but it's great for what it is. I don't recommend the hot bar, as it usually seems to be of lower quality since they are making huge batches of stuff and it's sitting out for longer periods.

Waited over an hour for a sandwhich. One on hand that is just bizarre. On the other hand it is worse than bizarre.
We had babysitters that let us come out for a day trip here. Sad that 2 hours have been wasted for a sandwhich...
Update. Took about 1 hour 40 minutes. They gave us the sandwhich for free. Still charged for drinks. Gave us a coupon for a free coffee.

Yummy food. Would have expected the sandwich to be toasted. Coffee was better than the bread. Ordering system is a bit confusing. Happy to find parking and a table at a busy time of day.

Lots of options to stay and eat or grad and go! Coffee in abundance and there is also some local beers on tap.

We visited Ithaca Bakery during parents weekend for IC. Not only was it warm and inviting atmosphere but the food was delicious. Huge variety of smoothies, Salads and sandwiches which were fresh an made to order. Definitely recommend and will visit again.

It was noisy, and the deserts just were not what I expected. I got a piece of lemon cake and honestly couldn't taste any lemon. Also it was a bit dry.

Awesome food and beverages -- coffee, beer and juices/teas. We tried a vegetable wrap and Reuben- both were freshly made from fresh ingredients and delicious! We also shopped a few of their made in NY items - and picked out several packages of roasted pepitas to take to friends.

Delicious food. This was the second time I came through town with my wife and both times we stopped by here for lunch. The sandwiches are always freshly prepared. My only suggestion for improvement would be to reduce the prices.

Cheerful, friendly person at the counter. Dry, tasteless cheesecake. A nanaimo bar that wasn't (big disappointment because I love this British Columbia specialty). Good mocha. All in all, a mixed bag. Gotta give them another try. Maybe it was an off day.

An Ithaca icon. Great sandwiches, baked goods and bread, salads and now beer and wine. Prices at the hot bar are a little steep, I just get coffee and a bagel or a sandwich.

What an amazing experience this place was. They have different lines for food, coffee and deserts. The two sandwiches my girlfriend and I had were quite good. The prices are slightly higher than a lower end sandwich shop, but the quality is a lot higher as well. The deserts were fantastic; good luck picking one.

Best bagels around! Fresh breads, scrumptious desserts, and hot drinks. Fast service and everything is reasonably priced.

Always reliable as a bakery. Great bread! We even sell them at Greenstar Coop. Good coffee of all kinds, they've got a decent selection of desserts...even for a gluten-free person like me. Friday night they have some nice music too. Not a regular but sure enjoy the place.

For our 2015 wedding, we got a cake from Ithaca Bakery. Setting up a tasting appointment was simple, and they provided us a large variety of options while remaining open to our customization ideas. They were able to make each layer a different flavor and incorporated flowers and ribbons to coordinate with our color scheme, then delivered the cake in plenty of time for our reception. Our guests raved about the raspberry filling, and we enjoyed eating leftovers throughout our honeymoon. The only downside was the thickness of the buttercream frosting - it was good, but overpowering, so we would recommend asking for a thin layer, choosing a different frosting option, or just scraping some off before eating.

it took 50 minutes to get my simple order. make sure they processed your order correctly. I paid but it went nowhere.

Sandwich made with Ithaca Bakery bread and meat from The Piggery. Fresh ingredients make this one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Only negative: I didn't have enough remaining appetite to eat a bakery-fresh blueberry scone.

They should sell their coffee spice!Otherwise perfect.

Food was delicious. For a newcomer I found the ordering process confusing. My grilled sandwich came out with one side burnt, they did replace it and apologized and let me pick out a sweet treat.

Bakery with just about everything - breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee, desserts, live music - you name it. Can get very crowded in the weekends especially after noon.

Yea it s a crowded place but employees shouldn t be rushing clients while we order! It s a messy and very very slow system. Our order took forever and it took two times for them to get it right. Food was ok and coffee eh. Just too disappointing for a Saturday morning...

Some of the best sandwiches in the area. Food and drink selection is huge, decent prices for a college town and they even have a buffet! Awesome home-made stuff here, the cookies are as good as my mother's.

Weirdest people, overpriced food. Coffee is way to hot.

Quite possibly the best reuben that I have ever had! Be prepared to spend a bit as it's more expensive than your average sandwich shop but well worth the money. All the breads are homemade and the meat and cheese is all locally sourced, which of course is a plus for anyone that is community minded.

Whenever we go to Ithaca, New York right next to Lake Cayuga, we make sure to go to this awesome bakery. All of their goods are delicious from cakes to breads, to freshly made sandwiches, soups, and other already prepared foods, and really delicious gluten free products. It will be a keeper whenever you visit!

So many options. Vegan, vegetarian, foodie, kids, etc. Fantastic menu. Quick staff. Popular spot and busy but they get through the line with efficiency and courteous service.

I believe this place is owned also by College town Bagels. Similar items. Still good food and drink! Gotta go there.

Focused on locally sourced, fresh foods. Had the J's meal. It was great. Definitely go from breakfast and get one of the many delicious breakfast sandwiches.

Everytime I am in Ithaca, I stop at IB! The food is amazing! The people here are friendly and down to earth. The atmosphere is great for all types of people. You cannot have a bad time here.

Friendly service but the bacon egg and cheese wasn t that good

Stopped in here for a quick bite after a weekend of camping. They had a great offerings of yummy baked goods. They also had a very nice hot bar. Got some french toast, egg's, and bacon, cup of coffee and I hit the road feeling great.

I love The Ithaca Bakery! It is a very warm and inviting place to be!

Good alternative to Panera. I highly reccomend Rosemary Salt bagels. Go somewhere else for a muffin. The service at this Ithaca Bakery is comfortable.

Great menu. Tons of options for all diets, whether you're vegan or vegetarian or an omnivore. Lots of locally sourced options as well. The prices are just a bit too high, but that's my only criticism. Lines are usually long, but the service is fast and friendly.

This place is much more than a bakery, its more like a restaurant wrapped in a bakery. During a recent visit to the area, Ithaca bakery became the place to grab a made to order sandwich or breakfast before heading out to the local waterfalls.

FYI, I've never seen such a diverse selection of freshly baked bagels in one store. I sampled a number of dishes and pastries and was never disappointed. This location is very large, very clean and has a great staff. I found it a great way to see the locals as they began their early morning routines.

I'm from Ithaca NY and I have to say that everytime my family visit we stop by and see everyone. Sheena Venny is the best she went over and beyond to help my family. Thank you very much for your hospitality and your amazing customer service.

Unique place, short wait time during lunch rush, tasty food, two thumbs up!

Service, quality, and variety of options was excellent.

Love this place! They have great sandwiches (some can be a bit pricey but remember it's all local ingredients so there's a perk!) and a good hot food buffet you can buy by the pound. They are owned by the same people as CTB but have a wider sandwich selection. Their coffee is also lovely and they have a good selection of creative lattes and your normal culprits as well. The place gets real crowded on weekend mornings so don't plan on sitting around.

The coffee was great but the girl who helped us had an attitude like she wasn't having a very good day.

I usually love coming to this Bakery but the costumer service I just received was terrible and uncalled for. My boyfriend ordered a smoothie and a cookie, then I ordered a cookie and a latte. I paused after ordering my cookie and saw her typing on the register, however, I did not receive my cookie and when my boyfriend went back to the counter to ask about it, the woman claimed I never ordered one and she didn't charge me for mine. So he came back and told me, I went up to the counter and said "I didn't get a cookie I ordered" and she snapped back at me "I didn't hear you, so I didn't charge you for it. I can show you the receipt. But I told him he could have it, so here." I told her I didn't need to see the receipt and that I would pay for it and she said I could just have it. She had a hostile tone the entire time and as I walked away she continued saying that she never charged me but that she told my boyfriend I could just have it. No wonder they weren't busy when we pulled in.

I really looked forward to going to Ithaca Bakery for the first time. I was visiting Ithaca. This was on either 10/10/19, or 10/11, early evening. I wanted to eat dinner and have a glass of wine. I walked in and stood at the counter. There were three staff persons behind the counter and not one of them even acknowledged my presence. One, a man who was restocking the drink cooler on the far right side of the bar, made eye contact with me and still did not acknowledge me in any way. He then proceeded to wait on a man who had just walked up to the counter. I waited for nine minutes like that and then walked out. Im not even an impatient person and this staff behavior felt disrespectful to me.
The baked goods looked incredible but if staff do not know enough to greet you and wait on you what good is great food?

Years ago, I worked in the restaurant business as a server for over ten years. To treat customers as though they are not important enough to even acknowledge is very bad practice. Even if a server is busy, say hello with a smile and let customers know that you will wait on them as soon as possible. Is that too much to expect?
I was seriously dissatisfied with my experience at Ithaca Bakery.

To sum up: Ithaca Bakery is popular with all the same folks you'd expect to run into at the farmer's market. A great order-at-the-counter deli-style place for coffee, breakfast, lunch, dinner, baked goods, bread, cheese, bagels, sandwiches, beer on tap. Eat in or take out. I love the hot bar & salad bar. It's always busy but the line moves quickly. A clean cozy local feel, casual with character, high quality food. Lots of small tables so if you're eating in and it's a busy time of day, you might not fit a large group of people.

Very popular spot for locals and tourist alike. Can get busy here on the weekends , so plan in advance.

I am sure the food is good, but the service is an absolute disaster. Ordered off their app for pickup. Through the app, they inform you that your order will be ready in 20 minutes. 45 minutes later, the food is still not here. They need to manage expectations better. In service, always better to under promise and over deliver. Ithaca Bakery did the exact opposite. It's too much money for such poor delivery of service.

Good sandwiches but the rudest staff as well as so slow moving. No wonder there are never parking spots available when it takes 20 minutes to make a simple sandwich

Went in early Sunday morning, very relaxed and inviting atmosphere. Food was made quickly and very tasty.

The food is amazing and organic. The menu includes a wide variety of things. The bakery serves specialty beers. The bakery looks amazing and the goodies are yummy. I had the pepper jack chowder and it was amazing.

Fun area with a lot of shops (mostly local). Always have a good time here, also there is a lot of Pokestops around the area.

Everything you could want from food to beverages to desserts and very reasonably priced.

Very good place to go in Ithaca for lunch and snacks. A little pricey but, very good!

Thought it was just a bakery but turns out to be something more

I'm in New York all the time for my job and stop here when I can they have amazing baked goods, and the food is good they have a small hot food table you can get and the cost is how much the food weighs, the the sandwiches are priced per different sandwich. The variety is good, the prices are reasonable I have this placed saved on my map.

Had the Campania Panini, it was excellent, great bread and great ingredients.

An over priced Ithaca staple. I still go but often leave feeling like a sucker.
