Last two visits food was half cold, soggy and very lacking in quality and quantity!! They couldn't even make a Reuben right!
When i picked the sandwich up there was no bread on the bottom and everything fell out. When i showed them my pathetic sandwich he pointed me to the silverware.

I arrived hungry an a moderately busy Sunday. It took 35 minutes for two sandwiches to be made. I watched the two staffers who were making them spend more time chatting and moving around than cooking. The food was decent, but it would benefit anyone to order ahead of time. There s no sense of urgency here.

More than just a bakery. Awesome breakfast/lunch sandwiches and...draft beer! Plenty of local pre-packaged goodies to snag and take home as well.

OMG so good! Great coffee, great bakery - the pumpkin bars were amazing. They also serve lunch, etc. I definitely want to go back next time I'm in town.

I went when it wasn't busy. I had to repeat my order to the girl 4 times. I then waited 10 minutes while I watched a girl make my smoothie wrong 3times.

Amazing bread, great sandwiches and overall really good food. Convenient to pick up or comfortable to dine in.

Bakery? I'd say rather a cafeteria than a bakery. Would expect a cake standing out of the crowd? Wrong place. Going for a super sandwich? Ain't this the place for you in town? Buffet will be anything but impressed in your memories...this place definitively needs a refresh

Lots of choices of huge deli sandwiches, salad bar, some hot dishes you buy by the pound (or ounces). Great coffee and decadent desserts. Some healthy options.Very comfortable going alone or with others. Tables can be close together so private conversation may be difficult to come by, depending on how crowded it is.

We are from out of town and this was a pleasant surprise on a friday <3

In addition to their great food and catering service, I have also tried their incredible vegan cake options. They really strived hard to surpass expectations for our kids birthday. Thanks guys!

We ordered and shared 3 of their sandwiches, all of which were amazing. The Cayuga croissant (veggie) had a fresh flavor, perfect for a warm day. The Sherwood Forest, a veggie panini, was my favorite with a delicious marinated portobello mushroom base. The Women Swimmin' (salmon) was delicious as well.

We were happy to find Traditional Medicinals Gypsy Cold Care herbal tea there, as we'd had trouble finding it in town at stores like Rite Aid. We were able to buy a cup and also a box.

The restaurant was quite crowded, but the service was quick and efficient. And they were quick to wipe down tables as they were vacated. There were samples at the counter of snickerdoodle cookies, some kind of cracker (can't remember which and can't find it on the menu), and a hummus. Delicious. The samples swayed us to buy some of their cookies.

Very good food. The bread was very good and the sandwiches all tasted good. It was a bit of money for not much however. An enormous selection though and a ton of great-looking and great-sounding options. I'm definitely going to be going back at some point to try out more.

I love the bakery goods and services! The service is terrific! Very courteous!

I don't know if live music is new here but with music it's now a "Friends" kind of place.

Great selections of breads and breakfast pastries. Staff was very friendly and the apple crisp is amazing!

The bakery is clearly the main attraction here. Large selection of pastries, hot foods, and sandwiches however some items can be a hit or miss. Good alternative to the local coffee shops to hangout and do work.

Fifteen minutes to order a sandwich, when there are eight employees behind the counter. Customer before me waited 35 minutes. When I asked them to check, the order had been completed who knows how long ago. Store was dirty, too.

My wife and I usually stop here everytime we're in the area for some baked goods or choose from a wide variety of specialty sandwiches and many other delicious items. Checkout their website for the full menu. My wife is gluten free and they offer GF bread for their sandwiches which gives her plenty of options. If they don't have any GF fresh baked goods available, they usually have prepackaged "retail" items throughout the shop. If you walk through the main entrance by their parking lot, look straight ahead and you'll find the counter where you order the sandwiches, and/or if interested, some draft craft beers. You're then directed over to the baked good/coffee counter to pay. This is the time to add any additional items to the order! Pre-COVID, they'd give you a marker with a number on it and staff would bring out your food. However, now you sit at a table and call your name when the food is ready for pickup at baked good/coffee counter. Plenty of indoor seating and some shaded tables outside on the main drag. Wheelchair accessible parking and entrance. Credit and cash accepted.

I worship on the altar of the Ithaca Bakery even though I no longer partake of their amazing desserts. It is one of the only places that I feel comfortable eating out at. Their buffet always features good proteins and veggies, most within my Autoimmune Paleo diet. For which I am most grateful!

Covid is also killing perfectly able eateries. Walked in at 3:10 PM (door states they close at 3:30). They couldn t make a Reuben or a Cuban sandwich as they, close in 20-minutes . Really?! Going out of our way to frequent and bring some business to locally open places, but if they don t want to go out of their way to serve us, why should I keep doing this?

They make a great mocha. Fair price good service and a clean environment

August 2017 - Lovely local cafe/deli to just hang out with friends. Convivial. Live music on some evenings.

What a great find, my first visit and WOW, everything you could possibly want! I had a panning and it was fabulous!

Only thing that might be a negative about this place is how big the menu is, cause the first time you go you'll be overwhelmed.

Good selection of food. We tried the salad and the hot dishes bar. The food was delicious. Very good for as quick lunch spot. Heard that their bakery side is also very good, but personally did not have the chance to try

Purchase some cream cheese, but have not tried it. The coffee is good! Nice place

Only problem with this place is, trying to figure out what to order. There's so many different and great options to choose from!

Lovely staff! I stopped by just for coffee but the whole experience was great. While waiting for my latte I browsed through great gourmet products and read the menus. They offer variety of meals to go sounding very tempting. I will More

What a great place! Excellent coffee and and wonderful cannoli. Took a little longer than it should have to get my redeye, but it was an otherwise excellent stop. Highly recommended!

Busy Sunday morning with college students coming back. Excellent food with friendly service despite it being so busy.

Everything is good here... the wait is a little long at times but ut well worth it

The food is always delicious. They have gluten free bread for their sandwiches, which are delicious. I had their regal dessert heart, it is flourless but they can't guarantee to be gf, it was out of this world. Also I had ordered for drinks raspberry truffle latte and Jaywalker Hard Cider, I highly recommend both. The Jaywalker comes from a brewery in Trumansburg. Great place and a nice atmosphere.

Very cool atmosphere but for microwaved eggs it was overpriced. Sandwich was tasty but small and expensive.

What a great joint. Great vibe, lots of food choices. Espresso is hand pulled and delightful, bagel sammies for breakfast were top notch. Staff is friendly and helpful. 11/10

Always an outstanding selection of soup, sandwiches and desserts. The meatball sub is highly recommended.

My favorite lunch place in Ithaca. If I ordered a different sandwich every day I m not sure I d get thru the menu in a year! Lol

Great sandwiches, great vegetarian options the DeWitt melt was excellent.

Good. Very crowded, highly recommending ordering online ahead of time if you are in a rush. Breakfast sandwiches are decent, not the greatest value but not the worst.

a must when visiting or passing through Ithaca. has a vibrant, indoor market feel. great breakfast sandwiches and selection of specialty coffee drinks. cute little kids-eating nook in rear of bldg.

Great bagels! I pick some up whenever I'm in Ithaca.

Needs nothing! ok maybe better taste in music but that doesn't detract from amazingly executed sandwiches and meats! I have celiacs and was able to get an amazing gluten free Reuben that seriously hit the spot. You order up front but they bring your food out, a very common deli-style sandwich restaurant with a lot of tree-hugger panash.

Such varities in shakes and smoothies. Good. Breakfast place!!

It took me over 15 minutes just to get a simple coffee at this place
And then the coffee was not even hot.
After waiting about 10 minutes Even though nobody else online in front of me, I ordered a coffee, black and she brings me out a coffee with milk and sugar in it.
So I brought it back and I explained to them what I wanted and they very quickly give me a regular hot coffee.
Problem is, the coffee is not hot

I know that I won't be coming back to this place even though their food menu seemed a bit interesting

The food is great. Lunch buffet is amazing. The mac n cheese with chorizo is to die for.

Over-hyped. Got a panini and was a bit disappointed with the lack of food and flavor.

All the food is on point. A plethora of vegetarian and vegan options. Local sourcing and organic ingredients make it all the better.

I've always enjoyed Ithaca Bakery, a go-to place for meeting friends and catching a quick bite.

Hands down the best breakfast/brunch bagel sandwiches. I wish I knew what the rest of the menu was like.

These people are horrible the coffee taste kind of water down but the worst part was I had a coffee punch card I should say Punch cards plural I had four on one card 3 on another two and then another would just one yet I was completely broke and needed a cup of coffee they refuse to take multiple cards saying even if it was on two different cards they still would refuse it how ridiculous to give a handicapped middle-aged man that was completely broke a hassle in redeeming their Punch cards just because it wasn't all on one card these people are scum do not shop there I gave them one star only because it doesn't have an option of giving zero Stars

Good food, atmosphere. Little busy when we went. Though to find a table at peak times. Most tables are for 2, we had 4. Otherwise great place

I love Ithaca Bakery! I make a point of coming here each time I'm in the area. My boyfriend and I love seeing the new espresso drinks that are up and use it as a common spot to discuss where we want to visit in the area. Even with a covid setup, there's still a good amount of seating and things move smoothly.

Pretty wide variety of stuff on the menu, but the frozen raspberry lemonade was way too tart.

Took 25 minutes for two sandwiches, not too friendly service, never going back.. don't eat there..and overpriced and not even good..

Iconic Ithaca sandwich shop... Fantastic fresh breads and bagels... The crowd is always a combination of Ithaca families, local students, and tourists so the people watching is great as well.
