Ah!....... Delicious food with nice desert. Location is very much Near to heart of Kolkatta city. ROOM s very comfortable with very nicely design bathroom. Staffs are very cooperative & supporting. Lost of celebrities use stay here if some one had luck can get chance to have a photo with celebrities.

The location is the most important point for any hotel! And ITC Sonar is also in one of the most perfect and accessible location, It has amazing rooms and conference halls. A lot of varieties in food like Peshwari, dum phukt, pan asia etc If you are in Calcutta Don't forget to visit this luxury :)

We came for celebrating my wife's birthday at Peshawri restaurant. Did not stay. Ram was excellent at the restaurant.

We were here during the Pujas. We had prebooked a table for 2 at 3 pm. On reaching there, there was a huge line and we ultimately got a table at 4 pm. Appetizers were served after multiple reminders, that too cold. We then lost our temper and started making it clear and food was then served to us quarter to 5. The 2 stars are for the excellent fish curry which the chef prepared.

It's was the most luxurious stay of my life. I would like to stay here one more time.

The facilities are quite modern, spacious and we'll laid out. Great banquet facilities. The food quality is also good.

Peshawari restaurant is a Afghani Pakistan theme based place. The decor and ambiance is good. While you go through the menu the waiter will tell you stories about the different dishes . This is really exciting. Food is reasonably priced . It's a heaven for people who like non vegetarian food. The vegetarian food is also good. The dal is good. All the chapatis/ breads are really good. Please be relaxed and keep lots of time to enjoy the place it's stories . It's a must visit place.

Best hotel in kolkata in terms of freedom. I visit every hotel in kolkata but are good actually. If you are manager must give freedom to give permission to take their own photo to the visitor.

This one of the best & my favorite luxury hotel in kolkata, located at Tangra, opposite Science city. It is owned by ITC group, which is a large conglomerate which started by making tobacco & moved to other segments of business. If you are coming from overseas, this is the best hotel for stay.

A under progress building with good location and a nice natural scene, It's only two min walk from bus stopage and Science City, opposite of JW MARRIOTT and VIVARA, there is a play ground near this building.

ITC is an experience in itself. A lavishly decorated 5 star hotel, it misses nothing when it comes to taking care of guests

The desserts were good.. We tried chesse chocolate with a mix of fruits. The fruits were exotic and very good in taste.. The presentation was nice.. Ganash is a must try.. It has two flavours - milk and dark chocolate as per required taste.. The ambience could have been made better..

Wonderful stay. The food is excellent and the staff gracious and helpful. The grounds of the hotel are a relaxing oasis.

The best Long Island ice tea in India! With a fish fry it is heavenly.

ITC Sonar is one of the heritage hotels among the luxury collection hotels by ITC. I am particularly fond of the decor of this hotel, which depicts its namesake 'Sonar Bangla' or Bangladesh in its elements. The lake with lotus buds and colorful fishes, the wood-glass rooms with its vintage cushions and soothing melody playing makes it a perfect abode for a weekend getaway.
We stayed there for a weekend. We explored some of the restaurants:
Peshawari : The restaurant at the basement is famous for its pudina paratha, dal bukhara and kebabs.
Pan Asia : One of the best oriental cuisines in town along with a special teppanyaki section
Dumphukt : Good Awadhi food. I liked the paratha, galawti kebab and biriyani
Eden Pavilion : The buffet wing. I personally feel it used to have great service a few years back. However, the taste of food as well as the services have depreciated over time. The buffet desserts have been disappointing the last few times.
The spa - Kayakalp has great massage services which can be explored.
The general room rates are on the higher side, however there are various offers running at different time which can be opted for a great yet affordable experience.
