As always, this is a good bridge. I like to walk to and across it. The color red is good, as it turns out it was expensive. I especially like how they sell the bolts they rescued from the bridge. There are very good views from it, you can see the Bay and Tiburon, as well as Alcatraz.

The bridge is so grand!! It truest lives by its name. Always carry a jacket when you are visiting the GGB. It s usually windy and cold. The views are spectacular.

Amazing bridge, it s crowded during weekends but weekdays is great landmark to go to. Make sure you have umbrella and something warm to wear specially in summer it gets windy.

A feeling of having made it. It's a nice experience. If it is a sunny day you get very nice & clear shoots.

Nice place. Famous tourist place but finding a parking was difficult.

I get excited about Golden Gate each and every time I am there though I literally live here! So many tourists, the place feels so festive and the views are amazing from so many different view points. For those who love hiking, strongly recommend the Lands End Trail going all the way up to the bridge.

You have to visit it at night, pass the bridge and up to the mountain next to it. Night shots are awesome!

At the time of its opening in 1937, it was both the longest and the tallest suspension bridge in the world, with a main span of 4,200 feet (1,280 m) and a total height of 746 feet (227 m). I believe is one of the most beautiful bridge in the world. The bridge is one of the most internationally recognized symbols of San Francisco, California, and the United States. It has been declared one of the Wonders of the Modern World by the American Society of Civil Engineers.

Fun and beautiful and windy. We enjoyed riding bikes across it though it was busy.

Beautifull and inspiring piece of infrastructure. Great to see from one of the viewpoints but i also recommend walking to the other side. We saw some dolpins and sea lions, but sometimes if you're lucky whales can be seen.

Beautiful. Tremendous place for tourists to know. For those looking to know more about it, and engineering enthusiasts, just down the bridge there's all the info about how challenging it was to build it at the time and what it represented when it was finally made. Additionally you may find some games explaining the physics of the construction.

You have to be there in person to experience the beauty of this bridge. It's a must place to go. Roadtrip!

The Golden Gate Bridge is absolutely gorgeous. If you're into photography then this is a place you need to check out ASAP! The reason I gave 4 stars is because I'm afraid of bridges... and for people afraid of bridges... this might not be the ideal bridge to visit. We did the Big Bus Tour which had an open roof and you could feel the bridge swaying back and forth. It's absolutely FREEZING when you're crossing the bridge but as soon as you get off on either side, it goes back to warm weather. Crazy but also awesome. Love San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge!

When I first travelled to USA, my first wish was to visit Golden Gate Bridge along with Niagara and NY. As I am a movie buff and was thrilled to see the bridge appearing in movies like Superman: The movie, Climax scene in James Bond movie, A View to a Kill, Zodiac, Godzilla etc, it was my longtime dream to visit the place. My son happily took me there to fulfill my desire.
The 1 mile long Suspension Bridge, full of steel connects San Francisco Bay and Pacific Ocean and was completed in four years in 1937. Its suspended from a height of 746 feet and carries on it a 6 lane traffic. It's an engineering marvel and stands a proof for achievement of proud planners and engineers.
For a common man it's a stunning beauty. You can walk- Beautiful!, you can drive- beautiful, Stand and watch endless trail of vehicles passing, it is still memorable. I liked it very much silently appreciating and thanking God for providing an opportunity to see this architectural wonder of the world. Nicely maintained too. Whether you watch in day or at night it is eye catching. Night view is still spectacular with lighting.
A place worth seeing in San Francisco and don't miss it!

Walked this bridge- It was pretty good- Took me about 40 minutes? Not bad! (The noise of the car traffic, a little bit annoying but it was ok for me)

Incredible bridge. Unique and monumental. Try to visit it closer to midnight and you ll have a good chance to be alone on any of points of view.

Very busy at 9:00 am and was very stressful. People renting bikes and walkers would get Into arguements on the bridge when a biker would hit a walker. Very crowded and was hard to concentrate because of the highway next to you ad well. Beautiful views and good, temperate weather, but I would recommend bringing a light coat/ wearing jeans.

The scenery is just beautiful.
You have to walk across the bridge so that you can enjoy the beautiful view.

What can be said about this iconic landmark that hasn't been said before? Thousands of tourists milling around, a sort of excitement in the air, welcoming service workers who were clearly tired of the many questions from tourists, or the perfect day for a vist at Golden Gate ... Impressions are many - the visit to Golden Gate and the view on Alcatraz is the fulfilment of a life-long dream!

Fun. Iconic. Classic. Historical. Humbling. A human feat. An American symbol. A cultural icon. You know the bridge. You ve seen it in countless movies. It s a moment you ll never get back but ask yourself.... why would you want it back? It s a really long bridge though. You can bike on one side of it but the view is better on the pedestrian side. And if you try to ride across the walking side...there is bridge police patrolling at all times.

Amazing, went one way in the fog. Turned back after visiting a few places and the fog had disappeared, breathtaking views

This is such an iconic piece of architecture and what a sight it is! The colour is fantastic, too. It means more to see it with your own eyes.

If you park in Presidio you can enjoy the open park area and take a trail out to the golden gate bridge. The walk across the bridge is about 3-3.5 miles so wear walking shoes. There are a lot of nice spots along the trail to take pictures. Once you cross the bridge, you can take photos of the bridge with the SF skyline behind it

Beautiful and Amazing bridge. This is my top 1 recommendation for you if your visiting the Bay area. The suspension bridge connecting San Francisco Bay and the Pacific ocean was created in 1937 and after many failure.
You will probably get an awesome view if the weather is nice. Usually in the morning there are a thick fog on the bridge but this can't stop you walking on it!

Bucket List. Best way to experience the bridge is by cycling. If you are a duo... Rent a tandem bicycle and cycle from Fisherman's Wharf across the bridge over to Sausalito then catch the ferry back. Avoid the weekends when it is crowded.

Fun, windy, lots of tourists. I would suggest riding a bike across instead of walking.

Place I would like to see if I ever visit California

Nice place. I would recommend take left side of the bridge for a walk (looking form San Francisco side). There is less people and nice views.

Walking over the bridge is a miserable experience. The vehicle traffic is loud, speeds above the speed limit with no police enforcement, and the exhaust is disgusting and chokes the air. Avoid the bridge and instead walk along the trails near the bridge.

Loved our visit there - the bridge is frequently partly covered in mist/ fog, makes it very eerie. Really enjoyed San Fransisco.

Think the pictures of the Golden Gate Bridge are something to see? It is more beautiful seeing it in person. There are so many good views of the bridge but my favorite is viewing it from the are just NW of the bridge in the Marin Headlands by Battery Spencer where many photo shoots are done. Not only can you see the bridge but the city itself. It is a Wow view.

We stopped at the official welcome centre on the way to Sonoma and we were surprised to find that it s actually a paid parking. Since we only wanted a picture of the bridge we stopped only for about 5 minutes and left. I would recommend you go early since the parking lot is quite small. There is a piece of the main span right next to the welcome centre with an elevated concrete slap. Picture was taken from there and it was a pretty good angle. Going back though we would definitely just pay the parking so we can walk closer to the bridge!

The Golden Gate Bridge is magnificent. Since I saw the sitcom 'Full House' as a kid I had always wanted to drive through the Golden Gate Bridge. It was exhilarating to be able to do so. I truly cherish that moment, I will remember it forever.

Once called "the bridge that couldn't be built" due to strong winds, fog, rock and treacherous tides, today it is one the seven wonders of the modern world. People say nowhere else is the up and down, both the ecstasy and agony, of the American experience so distilled as you can feel at and around GGB. The iconic bridge and its surrounds speak to the lows as well as the highs of American life.

What is there to say that hasn't been said. This bridge is absolutely stunning. I've come back time and time again and I always am reminded just how elegant it really is. The best views are hidden in the Presidio and well worth the walk to get to them.

Fun fact. The golden gate bridge is the single most photographed man made structure.

An absolute marvel of a structure. The views are amazing in all directions. The walkway apparently runs two miles from one end to the other. If driving, the speed limit is 45 mph (no more than that). It's usually packed with pedestrians and traffic due to its popularity and only means of passage from the Marin County side to San Francisco. Travel from San Francisco to Marin County is free but there's a toll charged every time you travel back into San Francisco.

Like standing in a post card. Busy, hard to find parking, but clean and gorgeous.

Haven't been here in 6 years, but from what I remember, this place was breathtaking. Totally recommend it!!

San Francisco s most visited bridge. It has been a great source of Tourism activities in Sanfo California.

You can visit the place by using your own car or rented car or you can also book a day pr night tour online for the Golden Gate Bridge Tour.

There s a lot of viewing area for San Francisco. If it is too foggy, better take the lower viewing deck to have that huge bridge as your background. For an aerial view, head to the top hill and walk towards the peak to get that birds eyeview.

Best to visit around 11am or 3pm. It also has a good sunset view.

It's stunning, seeing it up close. Bring a jacket/coat because it's REALLY windy here.

There was a lot of traffic during thr day and at night the park is a bit sketch so be careful it's worth seeing and blasting the full house theme song during traffic

You can easily spend few hours here. It is a historical place. If you like to bike, this is place is best for you.

A must go to landmark in SF. Make sure to see it from both ends!

A must go if you are in San Francisco. Bridge is pretty long, I only walked half way. Good scenery, even better if you are along the piers, near Fisherman s Wharf. But definitely a family friendly place and definitely selfie and photo worthy place. Probably a 30 minute experience, couldn t imagine spending more than that here. It is hard to find parking, you may have to park and walk.

Must visit place, parking available on both the sides if the bridge. Do not miss Golden Gate Bridge park

Nice activity to do in San Fco. We took a picturr from the other side at the hill. Then we walked it all across

Greatest city on earth. Just want to go back again and again. It's just a huge playground.

Seeing this bridge was one of the coolest moments. I have lived on the East Coast most of my life and most of my travel is abroad but I ve always seen this bridge in movies and other moments always knowing I d love to see it one day. Two years ago was that moment. My boyfriend and me rented bikes and we biked across the bridge at full speed playing our favorite songs. It was lightly drizzling but it was amazing to experience still. It was pretty empty and a LONG bike ride. The red color of the bridge made it pop with color! I would love to come back and bike again or even walk to appreciate it more!

Great views and awesome walk across the bridge. I would just plan around all the tour buses. Not a lot of parking so go early and beat the rush.

If you go to SF you need to come visit the Golden. The biking experience is challenging but worth it. If you make it you can ride all the way across to Sausalito .

Our Lyft driver took us across the bridge and we walked back across it. Though it was crowded it was an awesome experience and I highly recommend walking it. Bring a sweater, it is pretty windy up there.

One of the Wonders of the World! (Well, at least in our little part of the world - beautiful and sublime San Francisco, California!) A major destination of tourists and locals - to be experienced from above, below, across, and afar. By car, by bus, by foot, by bike, by boat or by hot air balloon, .....you can never tire of this beautiful bridge! Truly one of a kind!
(Unfortunately, the "powers that be" continue to bilk the driving public with ever-increasing bridge tolls and wrongful "toll evasion fines" administered by subcontractors with lousy computer technology, so beware!)
AND Please no climbing on the towers and no diving off! (Dangerous and not permitted! )
