Who could say they have been to San Francisco if they have not seen the Golden Gate Bridge? Lovely place for sun rise. Haven't seen the sunset yet. But got to love the view! Do bring extra layers as the wind makes the place extra chilly. Couldn't feel my fingers while I was there!

Magnificent and even more beautiful in real life. On the south shore, walk east of the bridge for pedestrian friendly sidewalks or head west to take in the rugged coastline and beaches.
Unfortunately it was extremely windy when we were there, and walking across it didn t seem like a good idea. But it was still a memorable visit.

An iconic landmark. We were really thrilled to see it and drive on it after having seen it many times in TV programs/movies. A nice experience....... we had a smooth crossing from San Francisco side without much traffic. It has 6 lanes and 2 walkways (one on either side). There was a splendid view point on the other side..... took a lot of photos of the bridge and the city. There was free parking and a lot of tourists at the view point. A must visit place!!

This is a beautiful picturesque spot of an iconic landmark in San Francisco. Lots of options around the bridge either walking down to the bottom and taking a stroll through the old fortifications or getting cross the bridge itself via bus, bike or walking.

Another interesting option is taking the bus across the bridge and on to the very popular Sausalito. Lovely, especially on a sunny day. You can also catch the boat back into San Francisco as well. Although this is not paricularly cheap to do.

You can walk, driving or biking across it. Fantastic view on Bay and Crissy Field. In the other side is Vista point. From there you can take bus. But, the most iconic place of the city simply begging you for walking across. Plan your walk because Bridge closed at 18 h.

Saw it in a fog and when it was clear. The architecture just blows you away. I had always seen it on TV before going and it was spectacular. There are different areas to view the bridge from. And crossing it is awesome as well. Definitely recommend the visit

In all the years that I've been a host to all my friends and family visiting San Francisco, this is the one that they ultimately, want a picture with!! What a landmark for San Francisco and such a beauty. It is the most unique bridge in the world. I suggest walking all the way back and forth if you can especially on a clear day. Once on the other end (towards Marin County side), you will get a chance to take a breathtaking photo of the San Francisco side. With more than 1,000 plus reviews, I'll keep this short, you just have to come here and see it for yourself! It's that amazing and welcome to my home city!!

Until then, Cheers! ~ :p

Truly a sight to see. Was lucky enough to walk to Marin county and rode back on a ride share. Looking up at the tower may give you vertigo as it did for me. Don't recommend taking a bicycle unless the dedicated west side is open. Otherwise you will be annoyed and annoy the pedestrians all trying to capture a moment on their cameras.

Visiting the Golden Gate Bridge was like a dream come true! From afar, it looked fake as it was engulfed in fog but as I cycled neater, I began to realize the enormity and beauty of the bridge. Had an amazing time cycling through the bridge. You won't regret anything here :)

Great bridge, really highlights how this was built and the many people who lost their lives on this massive construction. A real engineering feat proven worthy with great photos, views and rich history. A must visit for any one in San Francisco!

Nice to walk across and end up at vista point where you can see San Fransisco across the water. Iconic bridge and the most famous landmark of the city. Get here at sunrise to have the bridge to yourself as a tourist for photos etc plus the light is beautiful.

both me & my wife had seen this on films and seen photos of the Golden Gate Bridge
But it's not till your in San Francisco and it's then you see how really beautiful this Bridge is
I really could not believe me and my wife were here and we were looking at this with our own eyes
it cannot be put into words how we both were feeling when we saw this .
my wife had payed for us to visit San Francisco as a gift for my 60th birthday witch was on the 21st November 2018 .
I started looking at some photos recently I had taken of the Bridge and remembered the weather it could be sunshine one minute and then there could be mist and fog
I know we were on the boat one time going under the Bridge and had not gone that far past it I turned around to look and there was fog starting coming around the Bridge and then with in only about 5 minutes I could not see it at all the fog had covered it
You have to put the Golden Gate Bridge on your list of things to visit
I hope me and my wife will return some time .

It's really scenic and you can feel the bridge vibrating and there is a reason for it which is explained. You cannot drive to Battery Spencer, Marin county to see the golden gate bridge since parking is closed. You need to walk or bike up there. So be mindful of that.

A special bridge in Los Angeles. There are some areas for visitors to park and take pictures.
Views around this bridge is so beautiful, peaceful in the busy city.
However, be careful when taking pictures because of very strong wind.

What a beautiful and a spectacular bridge is this! Always used to watch it in films and finally my dream came true after visiting this phenomenal place! No words or pictures or videos could describe the sheer beauty of this wonderful and historic place. Taking a long stroll through this bridge is totally worth it with a stunning view of cars and vehicles moving at fast pace right in front of you. Totally in awe of this place!

Awesome! Wake up early before sunrise and watch the sun come over and glisten on the water. Take a walk across the bridge and get your steps in. It s worth seeing for sure, but it gets VERY WINDY and VERY BONE CHILLING COLD. Dress accordingly. Nighttime will surely put you into hypothermic mode.

Took the bus from Lombard st to Golden Gate. Walked over the bridge and then down to Sausalito. Had a look around then a delicious early dinner and took the ferry back to Pier 33 ? Not really sure if that's the right number but then we hopped onto the Street car back to Marriott Marquis. A super day in San Francisco.

View from the Vista Point is beautiful. Visitors can only hope that it's a sunny day otherwise it's mostly hazy especially in winter. You can see the entire bridge from the Vista point and also the Alcatraz. It's usually crowded but on weekends and holidays it's very hard to find parking. Best time to be there is around noon on a weekday.

A place that you must visit while you are in this area! The parking lot next to the bridge is usually pretty packed. A good option is the parking lot next to the West Bluff Picnic Area. From there you will walk around 1 mile. It is a very nice view.
