There are just way too many reviews for this beautiful bridge to stand out from the rest. Everything has been said that needs to be said. It is magnificent, beautiful, inspiring, just completely amazing! How it was made is truly unbelievable, I am from south africa and driving and walking over a bridge of this magnitude is simply amazing. Loved it!
Such an iconic place in San Francisco. Lovely to walk over but just as much fun to walk along the base near Fort Mason Point.
It is a bridge. It connects two separate land masses over a body of water. It is very well made, and enjoyable to look at.
Amazing view. You have to see the bridge in person. Is big and beautiful.
Beautiful place to walk through. Highly recommend walking all the way! The walk is not bad at all, and it's a great experience. But being a jacket, as it gets pretty windy with the ocean winds up there! There are also parks on both sides to walk around in, and a cage and snack shop on the SF side. You can ride a bike through there, but ppl might get in your way.
It's just a bridge. I went over at night and traffic was too busy to enjoy it.
Perhaps a day time visit would be better.
Some of the most breathtaking views I've ever seen. A sectioned off cycle and pedestrian path means you don't need to worry about veering into traffic.

Does much need to be said? It's the Golden Gate Bridge! Really the only bad thing about it is the weather. More often than not, it's covered in for, so you can't see much.
It is really the best place to see in San Francisco
The famous world's iconic bridge, a must see when you are in San Francisco. Limited parking space, but people comes and go have to drive around to check who is leaving. Best way to avoid parking problem is using a tour bus.
PLEASE if you are going to the golden gate bridge to end your life. There is always hope! No matter how bad things seem now they will get better. Please seek help there are plenty of people who can help you.

The one place you can't miss if you are in San Fran. Nice views and iconic. Parking might be tricky to find but folks keep moving in and out so with luck you would have it. The food options are limited and the cafe serves mediocre stuff mostly so fill up before you reach here. It gets very windy at the bridge, and evenings post 3pm is cold also; better get some earmuffs if you plan to take a walk across the bridge post 3.
Amazing place. Such monstrous yet beautiful thing. The view from the bridge is absolutely fabulous. Loved the tremors on the bridge, caused by moving vehicles. If you want to see more, get down and enjoy all the beauty it has to offer. The cafe at the seashore is good for a quick byte.
How do you really rate an iconic bridge? Not easily, but there are so many angles to experience it. Under it at the Presidio or Fort Point? On it by car, bus, trolley, bike or on foot? From hundreds of vantage point on land or water? With or without fog? Over the many visits to the Bay I have done all, and each one causes you to ponder this magnificent engineering marvel. So yes, to me it rates a solid 5-star rating.

Too long. An earthquake happened and broke the bridge. I fell off and plunged into the water. Would not recommend.

Probably the most photographed bridge on the planet, the view from the vista point was pretty good however, finding parking there seems to be a challenge just like everything in California.
The bridge is for a sure a pretty exciting drive and takes about 2min to cross without traffic.
Gorgeous must-see sight. Wonderful for a walk on during the day and viewing from the side at night. I recommend visiting baker beach or torpedo pier at night to see a beautiful close up view of the bridge while it is lit in the dark.

I went here on holiday and it was one of my highlights on the trip. If the weather is permitting, I would definitely recommend hiring a bike to go over the bridge. Words cannot describe the scenery.

It's a cool to have finally seen in person what I've seen all my life in photos, movies, etc.
This is clearly a monument of days gone by: it may have seemed massive and impressive 100 years ago, now it just seems quaint to me. "Cute bridge" kind of thing. No where near as impressive as the photos make it seem.
The surrounding area IS full of gorgeous scenery, stark rocks and pretty vegetation.

Nice bike ride from the pier, the gate is beautiful just need more than 4 hours to have a good ride and enjoy the most of it.

An amazing bridge to see whether you are miles away, underneath it, or walking across it. I spent hours enjoying the view and enjoyed biking across the bridge and enjoying the view from the other side.

We went early in the morning and there was no one there, which was so nice! Then we stopped again in the evening to go for a sunset stroll on the bridge and it was a little crowded, but definitely worth it!!

Beaware of thieves stealing stuff out of your car by braking windows, don't keep any valuables or important documents in the car if you will be parking in Vista point or any other adjacent parking lots.
Definitely a must visit for tourist while in San Francisco to enjoy the scenery, history, foods, culture and nature. Too much attraction to visit so making plans will save you some valuable time. The souvenir shops also sells some good items for cheap but you get quality items without breaking the bank.
Wonderful experience! When you visit San Francisco, a city full of sights and beauty, make sure you take the time to visit Golden Gate. I encourage you to learn more about the history of this bridge before you visit it, so your Golden Gate experience will be complete! Because apart from the beautiful view, this bridge has a much deeper story that will surely touch you. The breeze on the bridge is often strong, so bring a windbreaker or jacket for a more enjoyable sightseeing experience.

One of my bucket list was to see the Golden Gate Bridge and it didn't let's us down. We come all the way from Australia to see it.
Be sure to go to the park/viewing area on the north end of the bridge. It's also a "Lone Sailor" memorial.
Wonderful and Classic place, Instagramable Place for everyone
Walk from the sf side and uber back from vista point. Walking takes about 30 mins each way. Pretty cold in the mornings, sunrise and sunset are the best times to go if you ask me. Bring a sweater, comfortable shoes and enjoy! Simply amazing.
Beautiful place and view. Parking is little difficult to find. They have bathrooms available as well. Don't forget to keep jacket just incase.
Me and my husband are from Florida. We flew all the way to San Francisco just to walk on this beautiful bridge. It's so amazing and beautiful but if your going up on the bridge make sure to wear a jacket. It gets cold up there with the wind blowing and the moisture in the air. Its definitely worth the walk up there.
Not much to say about this iconic landmark. It's beautiful and a site not to be missed. If you can catch a glimpse of it from Battery Spencer like we did then even better. Try parking down by the start of the bridge where there is a little more parking available then by the view points themselves. It will require a 10-15 min uphill walk but at least you won't get stuck in all the traffic

Iconic landmark. Nice hike accross. My nephew and I had a layover in SFO for 8 hours on way to Singapore and it was a great way to spend the afternoon.

Very small parking lot and you may have a long wait to park depending on time of day. Great view of bridge and nice gift shop.
