I mean what's not to love. It was an amazing and jaw dropping view. So many visitors so be prepared to share the sidewalk with both walkers and bikers. It's pretty long but would recommend to try all the way.

On one side the pacific, on the other side the city.. this bridge is an incredible border between wild and home with awesome view. I strongly recommend to pass it 2 times, one in day light, one in the evening (of course before the gates are closed)...

for pedestrians, I really recommend you to use the pedastrian road (not the bicycle side) especially after sun set. you can see the lights of the city better on that side.

For cyclist, if you love climbing hills, it will be very difficult for you to stop at the end and turn back. hence, be sure that you have enough time for the hills on the other side... I will have to come again :)

It's the Golden Gate bridge, what can I say? It is an amazing feat of construction, and a must see.

If you drive, there are parking lots on both North and South sides of the bridge, but they're relatively small compared to how popular the attraction is. If you visit at peak hours, you may not find a place to park.

Tolls are only on the southbound flank of the bridge.

Be prepared for it to be quite windy and chilly.

Amazing piece of architecture and engineering. If you're visiting the city, you can't miss the chance to walk across this bridge. I promise you'll be so amazed and in aw from the view that you will forget it's 2.7 km (1.7 miles)

Remember to cross from north to south.

This place is just an unforgettable place, to make an unforgettable experience

I defiantly recommend visiting its absolutely amazing!!!

Day and night no matter what time the bridge and surrounding bay area looks beautiful, but if you want to get the best shots of the bridge I would always go up to the look outs that are dotted up the side of Conzelman Rd.

Spectacular piece of engineering. What a huge and magnificent attraction. You have a lane for walking and a lane for bicycles. Its very long to walk along. You will enjoy it up there. One thing that I found disturbing is that the bike lane is too narrow and bikes head back and forth on two sub-lanes. So, you have to be very bkt to crash into someone as bikers there ride at a very fast speed.

Cable car ride was great. Had to wait and hour to get on. Make sure you bring warm clothes to SF. We were freezing and it was the middle of June. I was raised in Buffalo and I thought I was getting frost bite. Use MUNI bus to take yourself to the bridge. Doesn t look like there is much parking.

Well, if you are in SF this is one place you would not like to miss.
Someone said , it's just a bridge, there are many modern marvels of 21st century which are more amazing so why should you visit Golden Gate bridge?
The bridge has lot of history and when you look at the bridge when it was being made, it make you realise why is it so famous.
Suggest a place must visit.

It's hard to appreciate how massive the bridge is, just from the pictures, until you actually drive over it yourself. It was pretty cool to see this iconic bridge from up close and also the same angles as it is shown on many featured photos. To think that such an enormous structure has been balancing here for >80 years is pretty impressive.

A must visit in San Francisco. Take the time to view it from both the north and south sides. Each vantage point has its perks and makes you appreciate its beauty. North side parking is crowded, but plenty on the south within a block or two.

Iconic, looks spectacular in evening light, it glows, magnificent & monumental.
This structure symbolises the grand & beautiful California.
Lovely time I had with family while strolling this area on 1st day of the year 2019. Finding parking space is tough sometimes.

Thrice i visited this place: twice while I was in Dublin and once when I was in Pleasanton. Twice I walked through the bridge. A memorable experience and picturesque place. We climbed the nearby cliff also. Wonderful surroundings.

Do something epic. Run across it, drive down it a night with your head out the window, throw money from your car towards the people on the sidewalk. Whatever you do, make it as memorable as the place is itself. One of the great landmarks of America.

If walking or cycling, wear a jacket, be careful with the winds, they might push you. The wireless signal may not be the best.
For tourist:
Walking through the bridge for the first time will make you feel like you have made a dream to come true.

The pedestrian path across the Golden Gate Bridge ...

The pedestrian path across the Golden Gate Bridge is over a mile long. There isn't much to do once you get across other than take some pictures, turn around and walk back. Conveniently placed phones along the path, towards the middle are apparently to prevent suicidal people from leaping over the edge. Over a thousand people have done this, so its not clear that the phones do an effective job of talking people off the edge.

One of the must-visited place in US. The wind is so strong, better to wear thick jacket in here (especially for some south-east asians). Actually, we must use bicycle to go to here. But in the bridge, we can use whether bicycle or just walking around that bridge (there is 2 sideways in here, the one is for pedestrians, the others is for cyclist). Nice view too in here!

We visited on Christmas Day thinking that it was not going to be busy and boy were we wrong. Parking is hard to come by but the view makes it so worth it. Make sure if you re going you think about where you want to see the bridge from and plan accordingly. Traffic was crazy.

Was able to take pictures from underneath the bridge and drive on it . Its sheer size is mesmerizing. It was foggy but was an awesome experience. Temperature was perfect for this time of the year

Truely is an amazing, iconic structure!! In August 2017, I had the chance to walk the whole span and the views from the bridge were breathtaking. Also, I got to see a few humpback whales swimming towards the city. Just a little warning: watch out for some bike cyclists as they tend speed down the path.

It was my first time in San Francisco and the Golden Gate was definitely one of my favorite spots. When I go again I think it would be way fun to ride a bike across it. I had a friend walk the bridge who was afraid of heights and had slight difficulty with feeling safe. But honestly, between the both of us, it was an amazing exprience. 10/10 recommend going and walking the Goden Gate bridge.

You see it on TV and think "wow, I'd love to go there and see the Golden Gate Bridge" but then you get there and it's like "oh, it's just a massive bridge that on the underside seems to be held up by scaffolding". Its a tick on the old sightseeing bucket list but far some spectacular.

When you realize that this life is more than you could have ever imagined. This picture brings me back a special memory, when Janet & I took a day trip to San Francisco to try on the wedding dress of my dreams. I never thought I was much into wedding dresses, how quickly that changed when I was marrying the most amazing man in the world. I am so blessed Janet pushed me to take this trip. This was shortly after I passed out after slipping that beauty on, said YES to the dress, & then to top it all off Janet gifting it to me. Yes a wedding dressing is just a material item, but it felt much as a right passage of love & acceptance when my mother-in-law to be not only loved it, but got it for me. Janet always shows her love to me in so many different ways, how incredibly lucky I am in life to not have only found Jon, but Janet too, a true angel from above, the best hugs, & one of my greatest friends. Love you more Janet.
