On a sunny day, it's breathtaking to take the sight of this bridge from both the Crissy fields and slacker Hill.. walking along the bridge is a treat since on a good day you can see a couple of container ships pass underneath it...

Always an amazing bridge to visit. Going in the summer is risky as the fog comes rolling in and blocks your view, but if you get there on the right day...the views are absolutely beautiful.

I've been to the bridge by bus and by car, and it's quite the experience. Sometimes you can see ships coming into San Francisco Bay under the bridge. While driving is nice, everyone should walk or bike the bridge at least once to get the full (windy) experience.

I mean, CLASSIC San Francisco! Just don t leave SF before you see this icon! BTW walking to the other side of the bridge is real fun; might take about an hour or so but definitely worth it!

Park, take photos of Golden Gate Bridge,

Park, take photos of Golden Gate Bridge,
and Alcatraz as seen from afar; then visit the gift shop and listen to the different languages spoken as the tourist buses stop by.

A must see if you are in San Francisco.

A must see if you are in San Francisco.
Started in 1933 and finally constructed April 1937 designed by Joseph Strauss.
One of the most iconic bridges in the United States, one of the most internationally recognizable bridges for sure.
The design is one of Art Deco Suspension Bridges.
Absolutely spectacular!

I had a amazing bike ride from pier 39 across the bridge to Sausalito the ride was filled with amazing views of the bridge and when you are on it the views are also amazing with a distant view of Alcatraz and the sea. At night you can see all the lights from San Francisco and it is absolutely breathtaking.

This is obviously a must see while in San Francisco.

This trip we stopped at both the north and south sides for views.

While on the north side, we walked part way across as well. Note that you have to pay a toll to get back to San Francisco from the north side.

I thought the south side had better views. The best views were from where we parked by the Presidio.

There's free parking at Vista Point on the north side as well as at Langdon Court on the south side.

If you get a clear day, make sure to stop by the bridge and check out the views!

A moment I dreamt of as a child, to see the Golden Gate Bridge up close and personal. It did not let me down. Pictures do not do it justice, you have to see it in person. You have to stand there next to it, on it to really grasp the size. To hear the cars driving, the wind blowing, the waves crashing, feel the slight movement as you walk out on to the span ..that's all part of the experience.

Must see for tourists and locals. If your taking public transportation, the shuttle no longer goes directly to bridge (covid), but it takes you to a shuttle stop about a 15 min walk to it. The walk/detour has nice look outs too.

My wife and I visited this famous bridge Sunday, August 6th, 2017 and I was totally in awe. My wife is from the Bay Area so the Golden Gate was no big deal to her, but for me it was definitely a "bucket list" moment. And whatever you do, don't just drive over the bridge. Get out of your car and walk on the Golden Gate. You will love it.

The Golden Gate Bridge is synonymous with San Francisco and one of the things we came to visit. There are loads of ways to visit and loads of ways to go across. We had hop on/off bus tickets so went across in an open top bus. It wasn t for the faint hearted upstairs as it was cold and windy but wow. Well worth it, the size of the bridge is incredible and the view over San Francisco and the surrounding area breathtaking. We didn t walk over the bridge plenty of people were, however you visit make sure you do.

The most iconic landmark in the City of San Francisco. It s viewable from various places in the city and is a great places to catch the sunset. Evenings can get a bit cold so wear something warm.

Take lots of photos because this is the most Instagrammable location in San Francisco. It s also a touristy place therefore great place to meet people from diverse backgrounds.

I know this is just a bridge but still, this is an amazing place to visit in San Francisco. We drove here from the city center to the viewing deck and it was awesome. If you want to have the best view, you have to drive high uphill, and have a short climb. That viewing point is breath taking. There were signs along the way that warns us of thieves so I guess everyone visiting should be careful of their belongings.

Great feat of design and architecture and amazing to behold. There are great spots all over, before and after and it becomes a bit of a game finding the right spot, day time and weather to get some amazing shots.

Went there in 2000 with friends. Magnificient suspension. Engineering at its best. Saw a cross section of the cable on display and was amazed. Walked the bridge and the view was awesome. Felt nostalgic even though it was my first time. Landmark in SFO.
