Beautiful place to spend an afternoon, rent a bike and take scenic photographs. Two cafes are available, as is an information store with helpful staff. I'm glad buses go there because it's a long way away from Fisherman's Wharf and the main city.

The Golden Gate Bridge needs no introduction.

If you ever visit San Francisco, do visit the Golden Gate Bridge. It s by far one of the most internationally recognized piece of architecture to date. It is a one mile long suspension bridge with biking and walking paths along the bridge. I ve been to this bridge a few times and it doesn t cease to amaze me.

You can get great photo opportunities on the bridge itself or if you want to get the entire bridge in one shot, stop by the vista points on either sides in the bridge. Beware, the parking is limited on the vista points so you might want to consider it if you re planning to get pictures.

Overall, this is one place you wouldn t want to skip if you re in California visiting someone or just vacationing.

There are bridges all over the world. Once you've seen one, you've seen them all. Luckily you won't even be able to see this one, probably. So enjoy Karl the fog, and turn around before the halfway point.

One of the focal features for San Francisco, the Bay Area, and California. This incredible bridge will take your breath away and despite the busy crowds due to it popularity the views on a clear day are amazing. You should walk the bridge or at least to the center to appreciate it's beauty and magnitude to fully experience this global attraction.

My wife and I walked the Golden Gate Bridge yesterday. It was an amazing experience walking on the bridge that I had seen in movies all my life. It wasn't too windy and we saw a whale below. It took us about 30 minutes but that was with plenty of photos stops.

Wind surfers big ships complete the scene.the weather is a bit unpredictable so be prepared. You can see the whole SF Bay from here. Can be very romantic for the intrested

I think the Golden Gate Bridge is a must see when you are in San Fransisco, whether you think it's overrated or not. This bridge is such a beautiful sight to see, and something I do every time I'm there. And it's free! The parking isn't always great, but people filter in and out pretty quickly.

Breathtaking and majestic. Whether if you decide to walk over the bridge or view it from either sides of the city it s an amazing feat. If you can t find parking on the visitor center side, drive through the tunnel and you ll find some additional parking on the other side of the bridge.

While walking on the bridge it is very noisy due to the traffic which is passing right next to the sidewalk. Also it's windy on the bridge. It is worth to walk on the other side of the bridge hand take a rest on Vista view point at the end of the bridge. For pedestrians it's only possible to cross the bridge on the side which is facing to Alcatraz. It is also possible to cross the bridge by bike, just on the other side of the bridge. The car lanes are in the middle of the bridge.

The ride over this bridge is nice. I liked it even more at night when it was lit up. When leaving San Francisco, there is a rest stop/sight seeing area to stop and visit on the other side that offers a great view of the bridge on the right hand side. If you go to San Francisco, I feel like you must check out the Golden Gate Bridge.

Just don't get stuck on it on July 4th, spent almost 4 hours going over and back on the Big Red Bus tour in 2014, between the breeze we were freezing cold, but got sunburned from the exposure. Would recommend a visit but next time I'll be biking! :)

A striking San Francisco icon - the Golden Gate Bridge is pure bliss. From any angle, you re guaranteed to take stunning photos of this beauty. My favourite spot it to descend the cliff front on the western side of the bridge and take photos from the beach below - careful: slippery and steep !

Well. Its a Bridge. The Golden Gate Bridge! Hahaha. A super popular tourist spot. Where you can either walk or drive across. The scenery is great tho. The views going over and while on are sweet. Go take pics while you can on this historical land mark with the little ones too!

The Golden Gate Bridge is a beautiful must see site. However, be aware that the lower area is subject to flooding, parking is nearly impossible, you just have to wait for one of the 20 spots or so to open up and the upkeep of the viewing area is non existent. However, take your kids down into the cool little bunker area to see some history in person.

There is a great view at the sunset time which was amazing. I visited here in November during the wildfire in California, so it was very cold and smokey sky. However it was still beautiful. It's hard to across the bridge, and you need a car to across. But I saw some ppl walking across. Their souvenir shop closes early like 4 or 5 pm.

Walking or riding across the Golden Gate Bridge is a must for anyone wanting to see the sights in SF. This iconic bridge can be seen from many spots around the North of the city, including around The Presidio and Fisherman s Wharf, but you really need to get up close to appreciate it. Buses runs right to the visitor center ( download the Muni app to buy Muni passes and check routes ) or hop an Uber, or hire a bike. The view is just stunning on a good day and it is well worth the walk, at least part way across. There are plenty of nice areas to sit and relax. It is well worth crossing underneath to the Western side for great views away from the crowds. Like much of SF, weather at the Golden Gate area can change quickly, and it can get windy and cold. Even on sunny days. I recommend packing a jacket.
