What a wonderful marvelous engineering miracles? One should see the suspension bridge at SFO constructed in 1937. You can walk in sub way to the end of other side and enjoy the beauty. Or if you are self driven, you can ride up to the peak of a hill and can over look the bridge, back waters and the city.

So beautiful. We love engineering and architecture. After watching docs on how the three SF bridges were built we were so excited to see them in person and ride across all 3! The coolest bridges in the West Coast!

Nothing more to say seeing these pictures I posted. I suggest going to the little store on the top of the hill. The info on the bridge is amazing. Just think about the people that made it. To see it in person is something to be proud about.

One of mother nature's greatest Marvel's. Millions of years of evolution got her to the point that we could mine for the materials, thousands more to figure out how to build it. I think we're still figuring out how to truly appreciate it. She makes a lovely sunset.

A Hallmark fixture of the western United States and an engineering Marvel for its time, the Golden Gate Bridge is a must-see if you're interested in history, engineering, and stunning Beauty. Pedestrians and bicyclists are welcomed and, as you can see from the picture, there's plenty of room for both. The traffic on the bridge is pretty loud so if that's a concern for you, some type of hearing protection is warranted. The height did not seem to bother any in our group although if a person is afraid of heights, a trip to the rail and look down would likely be pretty intimidating! If you like a quieter setting to enjoy the amazing view the are several overlooks from the nearby Mountain. The included picture was taken from an Overlook that was quite a ways from the bridge as you can see. There are several overlooks that are much closer

Could have had cheaper restaurant such as in n out burger or MacDonalds but otherwise great views over the golden gate bridge and into the city. The picture or the bridge is on a blue and gold fleet cruse of the bay but I put it on anyway.

Could have easily spent every day around this place and/or just biking up and down the Bridge for hours. I absolutely loved it. Such an iconic and beautiful part of San Francisco. Rented a Jump bike to go over the bridge which was so much fun. I loved walking around the parks and beaches as well and just looking out to the water. A must see when visiting Cali!

The views. The VIEWS. It's a great place to get to if you're in the area. You can get free parking at the Battery's (southwest of the bridge / 101). The walk between there and this bridge offers some of the best views of San Fran, Ocean, and the bridge itself. I recommend walking to the center of this bridge for the best pictures!

I remember going on this bridge when i was really young. I went once on a school trip and my mom was with me. I now go on it when i visit. I have also taken my cousins on this bridge since they never been to Cali. Just a nice breeze and good look at the water below. Just be careful.

I was told it was a good place to jump. Instead of the adrenaline and fun I usually get when jumping, I instead got a strong and painful cramp in my leg when I landed into the cold water. Would not recommend jumping here

Amazing place to visit as a tourist, the walking around and getting to know the whole history of the bridge was a great experience to someone who is there as a first timer, taking pictures for memories and sitting enjoying a nice talk with your friend will be something perfect to be done

First time there. It's almost like a little rest stop. Enjoyed hanging out there with the family, the kiddos didn't really understand but there was excitement in the air that they noticed and it was a fun and silly time.

This place is one of the nicest, most beautiful places in America. Everyone should it, its just breath taking when the sun is setting on it. There are little shops you can go to and plenty of historical activities. It s so fun to walk on, there is a separation between the people and traffic s you don t need to worry about getting too close to cars. You can also go to Alcatraz and see the whole structure too. There are tour guides scary stories you can hear about the site it was so interesting. Would defiantly recommend this place thanks for a great experience

Visiting the Golden Gate Bridge was a highlight of our San Francisco trip. The walk to the bridge was nice and breezy, yet still sunny. The view from the top of the bridge was breath taking. You can see the city from a really great angle. I didn't drive across...maybe next time I'll rent a car so I can do that!

What an experience! And I promise you are truly lucky if you get to see this place on a sunny day. Walk over to the Crissy fields for fishing or for a picnic on the benches. It s so much fun here! You can get expansive views of the bridge. You can also walk over the bridge to the other side. It s lovely! It gets especially windy through the day so do remember to carry a light jacket with you. Also did I mention it is equally stunning in the fog as well? Stay till night to see it lit up if you may :)

The bridge is an excellent example of brilliance in architecture and engineering. Views from the bridge are very impressive. It is definitely not to be missed during one's visit to San Francisco. Fog can obscure the view, so try to visit on sunny days. Be prepared for the weather as it can change drastically, it can get very cold and windy on the bridge, so remember to bring a jacket just in case and don't hold light items like paper or cash in your hand, as the wind can blow it away.

This is a beautiful bridge. The panoramic views of the bridge don't do it justice. You have to get up close and walk out on the bridge to truly see all the detail and beauty it has to offer. From the bridge you have excellent views of the city and Alcatraz. I will go back and I would highly recommend.

Beautiful location where you can take your bike or just a walk on the bridge. The park is pretty big and is filled with bike riders. You would need a jacket though because it could get pretty chilly. The best time to visit would be in the early afternoon but you never know when the fog will take over.

A iconic Landmark that is awesome, fun to drive on, walk on, has restrooms on the ends, requires money to cross, amazing views at different angles... I would definitely come here when I visit San Francisco again!

Lots of people walking.. lots of people riding bikes.. pedestrian traffic stays to one side and bicyclist a to the other side do not try to walk on the opposite side sure the bicyclist will get pissed off and probably cuss you out and give you dirty looks it is not for pedestrian traffic
