An obvious must see for anyone visiting the San Francisco Bay Area.

The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge spanning the Golden Gate, the one-mile-wide (1.6 km) strait connecting San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean. The structure links the American city of San Francisco, California the northern tip of the San Francisco Peninsula to Marin County, carrying both U.S. Route 101 and California State Route 1 across the strait. The bridge is one of the most internationally recognized symbols of San Francisco, California, and the United States. It has been declared one of the Wonders of the Modern World by the American Society of Civil Engineers.

It is a wonderful walk! We were lucky enough to go there on a sunny day and it was really beautiful.
The walking time from side to side is about 45 minutes. We took a bus that dropped us off exactly at one end and on the other side, even though it was crazy spot, but we took another bus to be dropped off at the pier and go back to San Francisco by boat but it was a very nice and cheap tour you can try.

An amazing feat of engineering, pictures do not do it justice.

Incredible place to visit with sweeping, breathtaking views. The one-time experience of walking across was totally worth it. That said, it's hard to understand why cyclists are not instructed to dismount on the bridge. The space intended for both pedestrian and cyclist traffic in both ways is completely insufficient, creating an uncomfortable and dangerous situation. Furthermore, cyclists are rude to pedestrians. I'm glad I did it once, but never again.

Jumped on a local bus to get to the bridge public center. This was a good place for my family to hang out and take pictures. It is great for tourists.

We went on December 26th and apparently it's one of the busiest times of year, but it was still beautiful and cool to experience.

Good:
Must place visit for any tourist in SF.
Very nice views especially when sun is down.

Bad:
Needs more restrooms.
Accessibility can be improved.

A bridge spectacular for its size color and location

The bridge is beautiful, if you've never walked it I highly recommend it! I've used this bridge is multiple films, one of the most iconic areas in the country.

Impressive, stunning and a terrific view! A place you need to visit at least once in your lifetime!

The main attraction. One cannot visit SF without seeing this beautiful monument.

Exactly what one would expect from this place: Breathtaking!
Make sure to try and go on a day when there is less fog, as clear skies with minimal fog add to the inherent beauty of this attraction...

Smaller than I thought and not many places to see it. But it's still a must see in your lifetime

Golden Great Bridge is beauty of San Francisco. I love going there. Recently, had and opportunity to walk across Golden Gate Bridge, it was an awesome feeling. It was a beautiful day, little windy and just gorgeous. Enjoyed the walk with friends. Can't wait to do it again.

The best place to be on the west coast. So red so bright.. so serene and so gigantic..

The best way too see the bridge is through its welcome centre. Metered Parking is easily available on the other side of the road.
Take a windcheater or pullover if you plan to walk on the bridge as it gets very windy at times.

Take a small drive to Baker beach or Vista point to see good views.

The most magnificent a and grand structure I have visited in USA till date

The iconic Golden Gate Bridge is a must visit place in San Francisco. When I first came to SF, this was first place I saw and I truly fell in love with GGB. It has several viewing points but Marin Headlands is my favorite. You'll get a closeup view of the bridge from Marin Headlands, whenever you go to see this bridge be prepared for the cold and wind.

The design was great to keep traffic flow moving. Trails/sidewalks were clean and safe. The line at the store was fast moving and non-stressful.

A beautiful landmark that is enjoyable at any age. Stop and walk around to learn the history of the bridge and other facts. One of the top highlights for my kids on our trip was walking across the bridge. This allowed to really enjoy the structure and all the views at your own pace.

Beautiful sight, cost $ coming in about $7, watch out for that, there may be no way to avoid it. A must see for SF.

Beautiful place. Great walking trails. Kept clean. It was extremely windy when I went but still worth the cold.

Always a remarkable place to visit. An engineering marvel and historic landmark. Probably the top 3 landmark in the Bay Area.

One of thee most beautiful places on Earth if I do say so myself. As a bay area native, you see this in the distance occasionally, but when you're up close, even from Marin Headlands, it's spectacular. People can wait their entire lives to see the, I've watched tourists from different countries break down and cry in joy of being here, the Golden Gate. This is one of the many places in life you must visit before you die, it is absolutely amazing.

It's my go-to when I'm on my Harley didn't get any better than that lovely people everybody's having a good time Vista Point is arrest place for me just to relax across my bike gives me the sense in feeling that I own the road that day has to be a bikers Lovers Lane

Yes! It is a must see place in SF. So simple but so beautiful, very well fitted in the city. Definitely you should cross by walk to feel beauty of this bridge :)

I flew to San Francisco just to visit this amazing piece of architecture. It is simply spectacular and amazing. One of my favorite place. Awesome place to stroll.

Love the park at the end of the bridge. Easy on and off. Nice tribute to all the military branches.

If you are planning a visit to San Francisco, this place should be on the top of your list. You should not miss visiting this place. What a breathtaking view. This place is beautiful. Many hollywood movies are made here. You can take a cruise or you can ride a bicycle. If you want to save all your money then you can simply drive your car around this place. A must visit tourist attraction!!!

You need to bike through the bridge! Such an amazing experience!

Beautiful bridge. It can be crossed on foot and by bike. And by car, obviously. There is a car park near the visitor centre, but there is a much bigger one on the other side of the bridge, going through a passageway that goes under the bridge. So no need to stress if you can't find an empty spot in the first car park...

Iconic of course. You can do more than just drive across. There is a fort to tour at the base on one side, a place to park and take pictures, and the park too. Love it!

I loved the view and the wind there. Would love to do it again.

Approached on foot from Crissy field so had great views of the bridge. The walk up to the visitors centre and bridge itself is quite steep but seeing the bridge from this viewpoint is a good reward.

Must be the most photographed place in San Francisco! Lol. Amazing views and wonderful place to walk on a nice day!

Amazingly beautiful! One of my favorites places to visit.

It was an awesome eerie experience as it was a foggy day and everything seemed so out of this world! We walked over the bridge and the fog was quite dense good for some unusual photos. Very happy I did it.

How do you review a bridge? The architecture is phenomenal and there s a reason it s a massive tourist draw. We rented some bikes and rode across it. Had a blast! If you re renting a bike, be smart enough to realize that other people are riding too and blocking the entire roadway to take a picture is not a smart move!

My first time visiting golden gate bridge.passing by.going to Salinas CA .to filadelfia temple.you should visit filadelphia temple you will come out different.

We almost did not cross the Golden Gate Bridge as planned. It was about 9 AM & the bridge was totally fogged out.

We did it anyways, as we reached the first tower, the fog started to lift. What a transformation from foggy to bright & sunny skies.

If you haven't tried , walking, running and biking at the Golden Gate Bridge you should. Amazing place! My favorite place to run and enjoy the view at the same time! Search out the history of the bridge and you will definitely appreciate the unity and wisdom of human as we thrive to make some things which seems impossible, but it's possible until it's done. A beautiful bridge , I always suggest going for the hike on the north side for the best photos that are not filled with tourists

You hear so much about this bridge, see it in movies, see pictures, almost waited for 2 decades but seeing it for the first time with your eyes you still get awestruck.

What to say it s golden bridge!!!

The Golden Gate! It's a magical place often suspended in a mystical fog and just as often bathed in Golden sunshine. Pick your vacation time to visit San Francisco and the Golen Gate Bridge carefully. August September are warm and beautiful. June July could be foggy and cool. The views are dramatic and extensive. You have both open ocean and a cloistered bay, sailing ships and blue angels, parks that let you ride and cliffs that encourage your climb. It's a healthy vibrant eco system and the natives are friendly. Welcome!

I love walking across the GGB, although the number of people in the summer is a bit ridiculous. Bikes can be especially obnoxious as a pedestrian. They don't always stay to their side of the path.

One of the awesome sightseeing in San Francisco. A piece of wonderful engineering where precious mathematics done to design such a long standing stracture without computers at all. A top recommended place to visit while you are in SFO. Take warm clothes as climate is windy there.

I love jogging the golden gate bridge the views are like no others in the bay.
