Intercontinental Al Ain Resort Review

Stayed for 2 days , and for this hotel rating unfortunately the stay was a disaster on all levels.... starting from the room door that you need at least 10-15 min to open due to its malfunction , to the worst distribution of families with kids ( specially the ones that are out of control screaming issues ) that will be screaming so loud during the day , at night, or even wake you up at 3 am with non stop hysteria, the room damping is quiet nothing.... you will hear the footsteps, so imagine the screams.... the breakfast is very limited variety , and the pools are out of order, all three of them (which was announced ) but not allowing you to walk even in the garden at all times due to security issues according to the receptionist was just one last straw .... basically either be confined to your room or get out of the hotel, no other choices... not to mention the midevil tv that is so small and old that you will hear the sound before the actual scene by at least 30 seconds ( no joke , try that yourself ) , the extremely old room , weird smells in the corridors , all the staff was friendly and helpful but they simply don t have any faculties to make this hotel work.... even the jacuzzi (which is supposed to be working ) is filled with dirt and sand !!!!! simply avoid it if you are looking for a nice stay, this hotel stays the last in all the hotels we stayed in at the Uae

The hotel is with pool and everything on a hilltop. Funny enough, almost invisible.
All rooms with a view, good food, great lobby. The pool is a bit crowded with kids.
In the evening it works.
Parking below with shuttle bus.

The room was more like 3 stars, but it was clean and cosy. The bathroom should be better. The facilities outside are great: pools, playground, green areas. But we didn't like the fact that many people were allowed in the pool in their regular clothing without proper swimming attire. The food in Arabesque restaurant was better than expected for both lunch and dinner, very good selection and tasty. The restaurant wasn't too crowded either. The staff were polite and professional and we easily got late check-out. Overall, it is not a 5 star hotel, but it has a good vibe and offers good value for money.

Honestly the prices of the hotel are very reasonable and reasonable for the service and cleanliness and everything for comfort thank you

This hotels has okay rooms. However, it has great facilities. The pool area is the best in the city. It has different size pools, including an Olympic size pool... There are also several restaurants and bars in hotels; something for everyone's preference... The gym is well-equipped and up-to-date. If you're in Al Ain and want a quiet getaway where everything is on-site, the Danat is just right...

Had a quick holy week getaway and decided to try again the Danat. 5-star property but nobody outside to welcome you - concierge and security were huddled chatting in the side. I love the location though; very quiet, far from establishments, little bit secluded which I like as it is very peaceful...

The only thing is that we were checked in a room with connecting doors and our neighbors were testing the doors during the night which got us scared... Very spacious room with a very comfortable bed but not soundproof at all; people chatting outside could be heard. I like sitting in the balcony and looking at the greens that is Al Ain... Wi-fi was suuuuuper slow I have to tell you. Nonetheless, trip was nice... We weren't able to use the pools but will come again to try them definitely...

Too crowded during weekends, they even charge extra if you even ask for water (Aed 18 for a 500ml of water)

Doesn't crush the price and there is no suction in the toilet

Great pool for kids but stay away from this resort on holidays

The Danat Resort is one of the places I love to live in. The hotel is very clean and close to all the services in Al Ain. The reception and hospitality staff are very respectful and welcome guests.
The privacy and quiet is very excellent.

Very bad service.Everyone confuce.Then they deduct more from your card.Promise you to call and never call.Everything take too much time...hours.4 people in vila....one bed...waiting for at least one bed 5 hours...One reception tells no possible for pay dinner second say yes you can....one receptuon says children half price,second say children free...there is anarchy in this hotel.

The room not clean and everything looks old and need to be changed or renovated the TV remote not operate good and you need to figure out that you need to press hard on it to change the channel. I reserve the the villa which suppose to be the best they have but unfortunately I doesn't deserve what I paid for. I checked in evening around 5pm and they keep me waiting on the reseption lobby for 40 minutes to get it ready for me. Moreover I asked the reseption to clean the room again and provide me with extra blanket and amenities around 8pm the time go out with my family and back 12am but I found nothing done from what I asked so I called again to get the blanket. The room smells bqd and I don't think someone will pay this amount to this while there are better options around. This will be the first and last time for me to come to this place. It doesn't even worth 2 star hotel. The pool is the only thing I liked here and it was good for kids to have good time but I felt the water was dirty and filtration system not functioning or not working.

A chill place that was recently renovated. I wish there was more natural light in the place, but overall great food and great deals on adult beverages. McGetticans is a great place for an after work drink and you'll always be greeted by polite staff.

I would not recommend this hotel at all ... very annoying because of the nightlife and loud music even when I talked to them four times did not stop ... Even one star in the evaluation is not worth because I get what I want ...

we were there with a group of friends. hotel has a large swimming pools and staff are very friendly. we enjoyed.

Everything was wonderful. Me and my family had a great time. Will definitely visit again

The place has a dated look... maybe got the 5 stars 20 years ago.
However, the rooms are large, airy and clean... very comfortable. The pool was nice and the lap pool is a welcome luxury for serious swimmers.
Staff was polite and helpful (The saving grace of the facility). Full marks to them.

Restaurants were ok. Breakfast is good to have on the first day, but the menu was more or less unchanged for the 3 days we stayed there.
Tanjore ( their Indian restaurant) was ok, however the biryani was far from perfect, served mushy almost like baby food.
The highlight was the terrible pastry shop. The cakes were the awful... no wonder they go for half price after 10!!

We went there to enjoy the swimming pool. There are several pools, both to relax and to swim. There is a bar in one of them. Staff very polite.

One of the worst Alnmatat that I visited and does not rise to the level of five stars as the service is bad and the villas are very old and does not have kitchen purposes

It is a nice place to have a swimming pool for kids from 2 to 6 years old.

I felt that it is an average hotel in Al Ain.

We booked a room from a month or more through the agoda website with free cancellation, and they deducted the amount a week before we went to this hotel. Finally, they called us and told us that the reservation was canceled because of Corona, well, say it before, or do not deduct the amount, or write this is what sites are not open to reservations You deduct amounts to the people,

It was not that worth about what I have heard about ! Receptionist was not at all cooperative . Lock of the room was not working . Lift was not in working condition ! Very old hotel to stay ..! Except breakfast I am not at all happy with anything else .

A nice place for a decent day out for family.
Good Garden and swimming pool.
They also got one Olympic size swimming pool.
Family pool is not as big as it looks from the photos shared on the web.

Breakfast is good and have taken care of many different tastes luke Indian, Arabic and western dishes.

Hotel Room Service needs improvement, the response is not upto mark.

Rooms sound proofing also needs improvement.
Avoid the Garden side rooms as there is continuous noise and disturbance from people in garden and moreover they have ongoing parties and functions, that is very disturbing till late night.

It's easy to locate, good value for money and good location- very close to the town Center and AL Ain mall.
The pool area was also nice but a little over crowded!

I have stayed at the Danat Al Ain Resort several times in the last few years and it has always been excellent. It would be my first choice when visiting Al Ain.

Unfortunately the style and reception of customer service was bad

Relaxing, and enjoyable. Staff were very attentive. Breakfast was very nice, large variety of food. Enjoyed it very much.
Good atmosphere lovey garden and play area for children. .

The resort is good and relatively quiet .. Some marriages held in the resort square are annoying, and their voices are loud, unconcerned with the comfort of the residents.
Room service comes with demand, and they do nothing but request and order, which they clean up periodically.

The swimming pools were just amazing and were for All ages. Loved my visit.

Had a very bad experience while check in I had to wait for more than an hour. Perhaps the time I visited was a busy time during Ramadan holidays but personally I feel they could have done much better.

The stay was overall good.The only problem is the toilet seat in the room is filled with water,so it becomes uncomfortable, especially to make a child sit on it.Also in the buffet breakfast,the tea taste is horrible.If it is buffet,why we have to pay extra money for ginger tea or for chocolate powder.The omellete was smelly due to bad quality of eggs.We did not get hot water for bathing during our check out day.

One staff in room service team his name is (Annu) was able to make my experience more than excellent with his human touch, this guy is true gentleman, and he deserves to be promoted, such manners should be contagious to everyone around him.

The resort offers many amenities and recuperation. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable, suitable for families, especially for children. Breakfast is varied but most are Indian dishes

The staff were really amazing beyond. Their politeness (every single one of them) was beyond description. Kudos to their managers and happiness managers. The hotel was not heaven, but for us it was an honorable and enjoyable stay.

It is a classic style hotel. We tried the dinner buffet in Arabesque restaurant. It is reasonably priced and offers a fair choice of international food.

Honestly, a first class hotel with everything suitable for family and friends

We stayed there for 3 days. The place was really good. The staff at the place is very welcoming and cooperative. We had booked 2 room, and requested for interconnected rooms since we were travelling with kids. However interconnected rooms were unavailable . The lady at reception(Fatima if I recollect) was really a accommodating and managed to give us two interconnected apartments of one bedroom and one living room each. They had great balcony and views were very nice. The property is a bit dated but great staff make up for it. Food, breakfast and pool facilities were good. Overall we had a good and comfortable stay.

Good hotel, greater staff, Mr Tariq is an excellent, brilliant outstanding person who we met there and he was soo supportive.. Remembering that the building and furniture is not im talking about... The onr who made difference is the people..

The stuff are not professional, they don t know how to deal with the customers, they are not organized while booking specific room they provide u with different category,
Only the pool and the location of the hotel was nice, but overall am not advice to book in this hotel.
