IHG Carlton Cannes Review

Stayed at Carlton for 6 night. The moment we arrived with our car, no one helped us unload it and then they left our luggage for over an hour in the sun while we were are our room waiting for them and called 3 times. Our luggage of course had cosmetics inside that were melted due to the direct sunlight and hot weather. Rooms are very old, mattresses and pillows should have been replaced years ago, our bathroom had a clogged bathtub so we had to wash having our feet in 5cm of water, one of the cleaners left a dirty cloth inside my toiletry bag which is disgusting, even more now days, having this cloth touching my toothbrush and my cosmetics.
People were smoking weed in their room so in most floors the smell was really bad and in the smell was coming into the room too. No sound proof rooms as we could hear everything from other rooms in other floors. Service was terrible, no room service, valet service cost 45 euros per night and it took them at least 20 minutes to bring our car. Beach service was charged extra, at prices ranges between 65-150 euros even if you were a hotel guest. Service at the breakfast was extremely slow and staff was arrogant too. There was a lot of noise during the day as there is construction at the back of the hotel.
Definitely not a 5 star hotel experience, waste of time and money.

Go early to grab a spot in the patio - or book ahead! One if the best places in Cannes to people watch with a glass of wine.

Very good hotel overall, very attentive staff, but the rooms are pretty badly insulated from noise ...

Nice place..1 little too felted for my taste..and apparently they have 1 problem with tattoos (many!) And trellises .. even if you ride in Porsche Panamera !!!

This beach establishment is a good one for swimming in central Cannes.

Saddened to see that in an upscale hotel if we "forget" business in the room and that we call to recover, we answer: sorry, we found nothing

The best of Cannes, a perfect example of the grandeur of France.

Pleasant staff worthy of the prestigious setting. But very disappointed with the menu. Unanimously more than 10 people found the rubbery lobster claws therefore frozen, bland appetizers bland and not crisp, nothing was so fine that I didn't even have to finish my plate. Even the cheese was too cold and uninspiring as it came out of the supermarket. Only the dessert was nicely presented and worked but too sweet.

Sadly the beautiful beach is being overtaken by souvenir shops and tourist restaurants. But it's still Cannes!

One of my favourite hotels, great location and staff. Stay for breakfast it's a great event.

The service is at the height of the establishment. The friendliness of the staff is appreciable. Thank you .
Nevertheless, a refurbishment of the hotel is necessary to stay in the Top 3 establishments of Cannes.

Great intercontinental hotel with fun servers in the bar! Located in a primo spot.

Very disappointing 2 drinks at the bar with rising disgust smelly odor when you ask the server why this smell he answers that c the sewage he can not do anything in an establishment so renowned how little we can serve customers in such conditions very shocking with each sip of your drink you have nausea I did not think it was possible ...

A classy restaurant and beautifully prepared dishes.
You also have to go for a drink at the bar because the pianist plays wonderfully

The service was very poor. There is a massive amount of noisy construction outside. There was no power in our room when we arrived. If you are disabled and need to be accommodated in any way, you will not be. Even ways as simple as getting a place to lie down or getting a room when it is ready instead of waiting hours for an arbitrarily determined time. It is in stark contrast to the InterContinental in Paris (which was superb). It is a beautiful space, if shabby around the edges, but the service is not aligned with the prices. However, the food was excellent. Very high quality.

Always call at the hotel when in Cannes. Great location and service.

We come many years. Always an experience, but slowly getting old.

A great reception and lobby ... the entire building is of a marvelous design

I recommend the hotel the delicious meal on December 31 and the decor la vie en rose I loved. The chef's cuisine is refined and well chosen for a multi-course meal for New Years Eve. The hotel staff are very cheerful and professional. Millimeter service and a warm atmosphere with excellent singers. The next day a perfect brunch which offers seafood with lobster, oysters ... To finish with succulent desserts. The hotel is grand the great room is impressive.

Old settlement. Quality staff, helpful, courteous and competent. Good bedding, very good breakfast, but for a palace, I prefer the Majestic, or even the Marriott ...

Wonderful experience and right on the beach front. Had a brilliant time here, even with the paparazzi hanging around. French cuisine was superb. Would definitely return!
