You can not go from Cannes, walk on the Croisette and not stop to admire the Carlton hotel with a hundred-year history of the most beautiful, impressive and luxurious Cannes. You can also simply have a drink on the terrace at reasonable prices. During the film festival it becomes a place to stay for international stars and a place of great animations during the day and in the evening.

We have not stayed ... but the exterior with a super expensive bar and the countless Ferrari Lamborghinis and not only make this historic hotel a must-see. Even 50 for two cappuccinos and a croissant ... but they are all worth ...

The Carlton in Cannes is one of the most famous hotels in the world (it is the hotel where Alfred Hitchcock turned to Robber Hunt and Grace Kelly gave Cary Grant one of the most famous kisses in the history of cinema, for one thing ...), and sleep there gives the feeling of being part of the story for a couple of nights. Given this, I must admit though that our stay was not particularly exciting. The structure is too old, ok, but the worst faults are other, unjustifiable in the circuit of the big hotels of today: the TV in the room is very old and does not offer any adequate entertainment system (in addition to a bad mix of international channels), the wifi is paid and can cost up to 200.00 euros (!!!) per day, breakfast is not enthusiastic and leaves no special memories (even if some sweets are really exceptional, but this is known), the furniture in our room they were peeling and the cleaning was not of a level adequate to the importance of the hotel, the staff in principle does not seem particularly efficient and prepared. In short, even if reluctantly I find myself forced to reject my experience in this hotel, recognizing it as an unattainable charm but an obvious inadequacy in our times. P.s .: it is unacceptable then, in my opinion, to transform a historic building of such value into a small shopping center by filling the lobby with shops and billboards for luxury goods ...

I love the atmosphere here during the #CannesFilmFestival

This place is definitely a must to visit when you need a fabulous meal and drink! I love that it located right near the beach and easy access to all shopping stores and the strip.

This place is definitely wheelchair friendly and very lively at night!

Very iconic hotel and the staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms are getting a little tired but heard the hotel will be undergoing a major refurbishment from 2020. We had an amazing sea view room.

Considering the history of this hotel I could not wait to stay there but I am completely disappointed to see shocked apart from the reception of the receptionist on our arrival, the stay was just disastrous:
1- room: which overlooks stagnant water, a place where mosquitoes swarm you
2- the carpet is in a dilapidated condition, a source of dust and mites. The quality of the bed is not comfortable compared to the price paid.
3- lack of tissue box ...
4- an old curtain on dirty bathtub in its lower part
5- Basic breakfast unworthy of a 5 * hotel
6- No complaints book at reception to receive customer complaints ...
I do not recommend it and I am not going to return to it.

One of the worst luxury hotels I ve stayed at. The tiles on the facade of the tub are broken and falling off. The air conditioning doesn t work. Spot-lights shine in to the room and the curtains do little to block out the light, plus one cannot shut them as the windows will need to be open for the air. Got accosted by security for taking a photo in the lobby, despite no other guests being present. The toilet broke. The drain to the bathroom sink won t open to drain water. There is signs of water damage in multiple areas of the room. Cracks in some walls. The left sconce bathroom light is out. This is all just in our hotel room, and AFTER we were upgraded to a balcony room on the 6th floor due to additional issues upon arrival. Not to mention the bed is very firm. Sheets rough. Pillows flat. And prices of everything additional is insane; high-speed internet, at just 20 MBPS, is 200 a night (and no that is not a typo). A cola from the mini bar is 9. A beach chair for the day, so long as you don t leave the beach, is 35.

The only pros are that the building is lovely looking with all the marble and the shower s water pressure is tremendous.
