When my 7 year old German Shepherd was so disoriented and could hardly walk, I took her to this ER. The team was quick to get her into the ICU however I wasn't permitted to go with her and was alone for two and a half almost 3 hours in a room. While the staff checked in randomly and the doctor would pop in with treatment and progress updates I still wish I could have been around her more for my comfort than hers. Unfortunately I hit $1,000 pretty quick so I was not able to continue my stay for her treatment as the doctors would have liked. I am still not sure what was wrong with my dog as all the tests didn't prove helpful. I was advised that my dog may not make the next few days without medical round-the-clock attention but they were able to make her comfortable enough to come home. I am happy to report I was able to nurse her back to health myself ( because she was not allowing antibiotics to be given to her) and she is 100% back to normal. I wish I would not have spent $1,000 but I like to hope it jump started her recovery. I did receive a couple check in calls from the doctor, Who was very surprised she lived which is Another reason I wish I wouldn't have spent that much.

Usually I speak very highly of them. Dr. K, Dr. Robinson and Dr. Zimmerman are the best people you'll ever meet, BUT Dr. Welch is a horrible human being. She wouldn't even see my cat, because she didn't like my COVID mask. My cat had a broken leg and was in excruciating pain and she refused to help because of my mask. My mask covers my nose and mouth, it is acceptable everywhere including human hospitals and I have also worn it up there and no one had an issue. Dr. Welch is the only one with a problem with it. I had to take my cat who was STILL in excruciating pain somewhere else. Dr. Welch broke her DO NO HARM oath. My cat is now being cared for at the Animal Emergency Hospital of Mansfield.

I happen to find this place online and needed to board my two bostons for five days. The lady I spoke with on the phone made reservations for me and stated that all their vaccines would have to be up to date (They are on wellness plans at Banfield in southlake so I knew this would not be a problem) I also told the lady that they both go to Banfield in Southlake and she said she would get their vaccine records for me. The only thing she mentioned was that they give capstar to every dog that boards there for $6.28 each. That was no problem. I get in to drop off my dogs and after they are already back there the lady at the front desk says to me do you have their vaccine records? I said no....the lady I spoke with on the phone said she would already have that done for me. She rolls her eyes at me and asks me where my dogs go for their medical care. I tell her Banfield in Southlake. She then calls over there in front of me to get their vaccine records faxed over which should have already been done. When she gets off the phone she says to me that both my dogs will need a influenza vaccine and she knows for a fact all Banfields do not give this vaccine. I stopped her and said um excuse me? No one said anything about requiring that vaccine to me over the phone when I made reservations. She goes well they both will need it if you are wanting them to stay here and its $22.50 a piece. I was so angry but did not have time to make reservations elsewhere so I said ok. Not only do my dogs get to suffer being away from me but now they get to be in pain. I was worried because they have never gotten this vaccine and I was not sure how they would react to it. I let the girl at the front desk know that they have never reacted to a vaccine before but I am not sure with this one. The last day they were there I called and asked to speak to a manager the girl at the front desk said that the boarding manager was not in. I explained the situation to her and told her that no one explained to me before hand that both my dogs would need this vaccine in order to be boarded and that I was not going to pay for it. I told her I had never heard of an influenza vaccine or a boarding facility requiring one in order to stay. My older boston has been boarded before and I have NEVER had this issue. She apologizes and says that the lady that made my reservations was in the financial department? and that she will talk to her and get better trained so this does not happen again. She said that she would not charge me for both vaccines and that they would be taken off my bill. I come to get them that night and the lady at the front desk tells me my charge- They did not take off the vaccine charges. I told her that the influenza vaccine charges for both my dogs should be taken off. She looks at me like she's not understanding and says hold on and goes in the back. She then comes back and says why they are taking off the charges? REALLY?!?! I am not going to explain myself a million times! Are monkeys working here?? She finally gets the charges taken off and I pay. As a male technician is handing me my dogs he walks me to my car. My older boston is on one of their leashes. As I am walking him to my car he yelps very loudly as I pull just a little. I mean he SHRIEKED and the tech heard it and saw it. Not sure if his neck was sore from them pulling him or what the deal was but I have NEVER heard him make that sound. As I am opening the car door he has both his legs up in my car ready to get in his kennel which is something I have NEVER seen him do. I have to pick him up and put him in his kennel. He was ready to get out of there. Not really sure why the male technician walked me out to my car he did absolutely nothing but stand there. I had one boston in my arms and the other on the leash and all he did was stand there. When I finally get my older boston in his kennel he hands me some coupons and just takes off like he didn't care one ounce. This place was horrible and I am never coming back.

I will never take my dog there again. Everytime I pick him up he is always doing the number two as soon as he get outside of the place, like they are not letting them out enough. The last time I took him there he cought kennel cough and they had to close the place down for a few days, and they wanted me to pay for something he and other dogs cought there. My advice is take your pet somewhere else. Its not worth the headache.

I take my cat to see Dr. Bloom there regularly because he has chronic dental issues. I was referred to her by another vet, and she has been nothing short of amazing. Not only is she great at what she does, but it's clear she genuinely cares about the animals she treats. Furthermore, she doesn't charge for follow up visits- only for surgery and pain medication; she could be making a lot more than what she does but chooses not to. Plus the facility is always clean and her vet techs are also amazing! Wish I could give this place 10/5 stars because my cat is now back to his happy, sweet self because this clinic. Don't know about the quality of their other services, but if you're cat/dog has dental issues, this is the place to go!

We've used I20 Animal Medical for well over 10 years for all of our pets. They have convenient hours and friendly vets. We also like that they accept CareCredit, which comes in handy for emergencies. In all the years that we've been coming here, we've only had one negative experience. Overall, I would recommend I20.

I do not have the words to say how grateful I am for Dr. Welch and her assistant Carey. My 11 yr old Maltese was in a dire situation that Dr. Welch diagnosed immediately. She had to have emergency surgery but she is doing fantastic. She would have died had she not been seen by such a wonderful vet. We have had to take our dogs here several times over the years and the vets and staff are amazing. Thank you Dr. Welch and Carey!!.

I am thoroughly impressed by the experience I had at the clinic. I took my cat in who is suffering from pancreatitis and was worried she was in a lot of pain. Dr. Stenson (sp?) was the absolute nicest person I've met as a veterinarian and her nurse Kimberly was very helpful and down-to-earth. They were both helpful in informing me on her condition and were very welcoming. The tests and cost were reasonable and they were very speedy in getting results. I also learned a lot about my cat's condition... more than I think I would have at another place. It was a good decision to take my cat there late at night. I will take my cat there again given the choice. The people really do care about animals and I felt my cat was in good hands (literally haha).

Every time I go in they are just absolutely amazing! I have gone first thing in the morning, afternoon, evening, and the middle of the night. All the vets I've worked with there have been kind and knowledgeable. It is a bit pricier than your average vet, but they are more than worth it.

My little man was having some mouth problems. Breath was foul, plaque on his teeth, not eating or drinking and he was very listless and not himself. He needed help right away

I called into make an appointment and was afforded a spot the very next day. I was a work in and I expected to wait awhile. I was asked by the staff many times if they could do anything for us. They offered us drinks and asked if we were comfortable and apologized for the long wait. Actually the wait was not all that long. (1 1/2 hours as a work in)

Dr. Bloom and her staff were wonderful. They were very detailed with the procedures and again when I returned after having his surgery. I was amazed at how detailed and loving they were and totally amazed at how quickly my little man got relief. Within 24 hours he was back to his old self.

I was very comfortable at I-20 Animal Medical Center. Not only with the atmosphere, staff, and general operation of the center but with the care, understanding, knowledge and the all around feeling my little guy was also feeling toward them. He never lashed out at them once, He's known to do this but he didn't. This was our first time using I-20 and they will be used again and recommended to many.

Reviewers write about $$$$$. Yes, pets are expensive we know that. If only they had a good health policy we could use. lol I have studied up on those companies and were all pretty much worthless and the company writing the policy was only in for it for the money. I was given a written estimate by I-20 and they came in under 200 of the estimate. We are all vulnerable when our pets are sick or hurt. In our hearts we know what will be the right choice for everyone.

I cannot say enough nice things about Dr. Zimmerman. She has been so great throughout our whole ordeal. Our dog injured her arm pretty badly right at the beginning of this whole shelter in place thing and had to have surgery and then had to have a second surgery when some of the tissue died. Which is common after trauma. She ended up with a big open wound, but Dr. Zimmerman checked on her often and helped walk us through taking care of the wound. She was very available and thorough. When we first came here we weren t so sure because depending on who answers the phone they re not always the friendliest or most helpful, but some of them are great so it just depends. But Dr. Zimmerman has been such a blessing and has actually helped us out considerably and all of the techs that come get the dogs have been so great and friendly as well. Everyone is very knowledgeable and I am so glad they were here when we needed them and they have taken such good care of Dakota!

Stay as far away as possible! They wanted to charge over $600 for a visit with blood work just to say my dog had minor gastrointestinal issues and needed doggy heartburn meds. A tummy ache. That's it. Over $600! Wanted to charge me DOUBLE what the meds cost at any other place! My friends dog needed emergency surgery after jumping through a plate glass window and it only cost him $800 at another vet in Mansfield! This place is a scam and are out to get every dollar possible.

I brought my dog in to have a skin tag removed. I was blown away from the minute I walked in the door to the time I left. First, the clinic was beautiful and immaculate. Then, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Dr. Stinson was so personable and talked through everything with me, which totally put me at ease. I was given very clear instructions and treated very respectfully each and every time I had a question. This was by far one of the best veterinary service experiences I've had in the 20+ years I've owned animals. I will continue to take my dog to I-20 and will definitely recommend to all my friends.

I only went to this vet because it was 24 hours. I took my sweet baby pug in there on March 16th, and the front desk lady had an attitude from the start, dropped my pug when she picked him up to weigh him, and was frustrated with us for the remainder of the appointment.

The first thing mentioned was MONEY. I am on a budget, but I still did what was best for my pug. I took him in on March 16th, and TWO DAYS later on March 18th, he passed away. I'm not saying they the vet was responsible, but what I am saying is that I FELT LIKE MY PUG WAS NOT PROVIDED THE THE BEST TREATMENT GIVEN OUR FINANCIAL SITUATION.

On March 18th when my pug passed away in my arms, I rushed to this same vet (again, because it's the only one near us that's 24 hours) and said my goodbyes, and he was still in my arms when they started discussing MONEY AND OPTIONS. I had to look up through my tears holding my lifeless pug and ask the vet employee if she could at least wait until someone retrieves him from my arms to discuss business?!

This place is nothing but a MONEY MILL. Please, don't take your pet here if you care for he/she.

Great care, great doctors, 24/7 emergency care. Prices are comparable with other city-based veterinarians. (Service is much less expensive in rural Texas, but there is the cost of getting to and from.) I would highly recommend this office/clinic to anyone recommend pets!

My account is under Pam Chandler. Early Saturday morning my cat Sumo began having seizures. It was a sudden onset as she had no history of seizures. I was devastated that my own local vet clinic told me they were booked and I would have to take her elsewhere. My previous vet (when I lived in Dallas) was also booked but said they would definitely see her. I worried about the long drive to Dallas with her condition. I called/brought her here and they were incredibly kind and supportive. Given her advanced age and the poor prognosis I decided to have her euthanized. It was a terrible morning but Dr. Welch and her staff were wonderful. Thank you for your kind words that day and the sweet card you sent.

I'm willing to bet that I've owned more animals (pets and otherwise), of more varieties, over the years than about 99% of the population. Believe me when I say that I've been to lots of different veterinarians across the State of Texas and have experienced quite a range of expertise. Recently, our exotic shorthair cat, Cheddar, was bitten by a rattlesnake on his leg. I cannot say enough good about how very EXCELLENT the entire staff at this facility has been. Drs. Kraft, Williams, Robinson, and others have all simply been fantastic to us. They have shown extreme care and compassion for our cat and have done all that they can to save him and his leg. We are happy to report that he is doing well today; and we know that it is due in very large part to these excellent professionals. All assistants have been so kind and caring; and the front desk staff is stellar. Are they expensive? Oh yes. Is our cat worth it to get the best care he can get? You bet. We are very grateful for these folks.

HORRIBLE PLACE !! After brining in a cat, hit by an automobile, they insisted on $4000.00 at 9.00 pm, told me there is nothing they can do without $1700.00 up front, And A $500.00 FINANCE CHARGE, THEN THEY SAID $600.00 TO EUPHANIZE THE CAT. and they let the cat suffer to death, because I didn't have the money right then and there.( the bank is closed at that time and I don't have that in my pocket.) I walked out, and Josh chased after me, and being a disabled senior citizen, walking as quick as I can with a cane, chased me to my car, pounding on my window, wanting money. I tried to drive away, but he blocked the car.

We've been bringing our cats here since 2003 when we first moved to Arlington. A year later we moved to Dallas but still make the drive out to Arlington to take our cats there and specifically to see Dr. Welch. She is the best vet we've ever had. She's very informative, understanding and caring. She goes out of her way to care for our cats and I'm sure the same can be said for all her other pet patients. We highly recommend I-20 Animal Medical Center in Arlington. Another big plus is that it's open 24-hours/day and that has come in handy for us many a time.

At 2:00 am on a Sunday morning, my son-in-law drove quite a distant to take my terrier mix, fifteen year old, very loved dog in to have her treated for grand mal seizuring. She had never had a seizure and I was very, very concerned. We were met by such support and concern from all of the staff and especially Dr. Patrick Hubka. After a thorough exam, it was decided that our sweet girl would stay at the clinic for 24 hours while the staff administered phenobarbital intravenously and monitored her for further possible seizures. That being said, the staff also was very willing to discuss and describe other possible scenarios and encouraged questions and phone calls to either check on our pup or to ask questions. When I picked her up to take her home, Dr. Jeremy Knight followed through with the same level of attendance that we received prior. I am so impressed with this clinic and its staff. Because of our situation, the services were pricey but I feel that was because we were in an emergency situation and our pup required excessive attention. These folks are knowledgeable and, I think, use best practice with their patients. Our family is very grateful for the special attention given to our beloved pet.

Exceptional care of the staff and Dr. Stinson two weeks ago. A routine visit in to pick up some Hills Dog food when the staff took a look in one Aspen's ears. they suggested an immediate look by the Doctor who confirmed a major yeast infection. Getting the worst out we've been treating with a week of medication drops and this week with a follow up ear wash. Exceptional staff, doctors and techs. Cannot sing their praises enough or recommend their services. Best 24/7 Animal Hospital in the state.

Unfortunately my dog got anxiety while in his consult and didn t let the vet go near him. I still had to pay for the consult after they ABSOLUTELY DID NOTHING!. So if you re dog gets anxiety going to the vet, do not waste your money going to this clinic. I know there s other clinics that actually make an effort to get closer to your pet to get what they need to do a diagnostic, unlike this clinic that wanted to charge $500 plus to put him to sleep for the diagnostic. Also, they tried to prescribe antibiotics to my dog without even knowing what the issue was. I did mentioned to them that his dermatologist had mentioned that it could be ingrown hair yet that was a year ago. I will definitely not go back there again and if you decide to try them, make sure they actually do tests before prescribing anything. Best of luck!

I wouldn't even give them one star I called yesterday on the 18th of July and talk to a lady and told her my dogs situation that he has bad anxiety after the 4th of July that a muzzle will trigger him and I can't use one they're told me that they had other alternative options but they'll see when he gets here what kind of pills or whatever he might need to calm down and they scheduled me for 4 when I get there they just hand me a muzzle and I tell him that that's not going to work that's not a good idea they said well go try and then the vet will prescribe something to give him pills if he needs to calm down probably something when outside my dog seen the muzzle stood his ground now he stuck in the car and he's upset and then they said just go outside and wait for him to calm down and we'll be out with a with something the vet prescribes in just a minute then the lady comes out says that the vet is going to give him some pills and you got to take him home and give them to him and let him calm down and bring him back that's cool I'll get the pills I'll give him one in a treat I wait for him to calm down and we'll leave they never came back outside they call law enforcement I tried to get him out of the car he was scared Animal Control is called and they took my dog he's there now dead they lied about everything and then just smugly went inside not their problem it is their problem as professionals you need to tell owners the truth before they arrive I had everything in place to make him better saving him all I needed was his booster shots and a look over he didn't have to die this is totally y'all's fault I'm shocked by the overall outcome and yall careless and heartless behaviour.... Thanks for your stupid reply yall Straight up lied lady I hadn't been there long yall had cops on way you killed my dog never seen a vet said you were bringing pills you said ya could help him and I explained thoroughly about his fear of muzzles YOU LIED AND KILLED MY FAMILY MEMBER all ya had to do was say no we cant help him there literally is 100s of clinics that care I PICKED THE WRONG ONE!!!!! Your reply just says it all cause I was there 20-30minutes tops cops were there never talked to any qualified personnel and on the phone promised they could do other options other than a muzzle. I drove my dog to his death. Didn't even see it coming and lied to me to keep me outside so the cops could deal with it not your problem .......HEARTLESS LIARS

STAY AWAY FROM THIS CLINIC!! THIS IS A PET FUNERAL HOME!!
Our beloved cat Sasha of 11 years was having urinating problems beginning the Mother s Day weekend on Saturday. He was completely blocked that weekend and we had no choice but to take him to this veterinarian hospital to try to save him as nothing nearby was open. Being a holiday, the only clinic available was the I-20 clinic in Western Arlington. What a mistake was this place! After the vet had examined him, he stated that our only option was extensive blood work, x-rays, placing a catheter under sedation, hospital stay, all at a cost of around $3000! My wife had a good friend that was a vet out of town and said that we could demand a simple catheter to be placed to unblock the cat and that the blood work, hospital stay, and e-rays were not necessary. The cost of the catheter should have been a maximum of $400.00, but after we insisted on only the catheter, they DIDN'T want to lover the price below $800.00, still a gouge! We paid this amount anyway and Sasha was euthanized that night. We were told that he aspirated, bad breathing, bleeding in the urine, and that they said to try to save him would require several thousand dollars more. Due to their lack of caring, we feel that they could have done a lot more to save our cat than was done. It is quite obvious that the charges of care for a pet are exorbitant and that they only care about draining one s wallet and not particularly about saving the animal from death. We feel like something should be done with these dishonest people!

Our reply to the clinic's response:
In the first place, your prices are 2 to 3 times higher than most other pet clinics charge running into the thousands of dollars for a standard procedure. The only option we were told was to get x-rays, scans, blood work, etc. in lieu of a catheter procedure only which might have saved our cat if done on our first visit, amounting only to $800.00 hundred dollars. We were told to preform all of these other test which we feel like were totally unnecessary to make this life saving procedure to just get him drained. Furthermore, we were NEVER quoted $400.00 or $500.00 for ANY procedure! We were NEVER offered the option to have him only catheterized! Sasha's diet could be changed to prevent further blockages from occurring, but absolutely nothing was said regarding this that might have been helpful! I just find a lack of caring here! You have many other similar bad reviews posted currently, so we are not the only ones that feel like we were short handed. He might have been just another cat for you, but Sasha was like a member of the family to us.

I have lots of pets so we've had a few emergencies over the years that would happen after usual vet business hours and we would nervously arrive at I-20 worried about insane bills. Thank goodness the pricing was always reasonable. On our last recent emergency for one of my dogs Stella we decided to try a new ER vet in Fort Worth. After they gave me a psychotic estimate with no cheaper options we decided to leave and go back to I-20. I forgot his name but he is a young looking male vet who saw that we were in financial distress and gave us a few options where we chose one that worked out great and didn't cause us to skip paying our next mortgage. I will not cheat on I-20 for emergencies again!

They did great with my dog but every time I spoke with the nurse or doctor they explained what was happening with my dog in extremely different ways. For example, the nurse would tell me my pups white blood count was really high and then the doctor would say its normal. This happened on 3 different occasions. All and all my pup got her problems fixed but I think the doctors and nurses stories should add up for the prices they're charging....
Also, phone staff would rush me off of the phone on multiple occasions.
I'm just happy my pup is back healthy. As a fellow business owner, what I've stated above, are the things we need to hear to improve! Thank you i20 medical.

Would ve gave 5 but had an appt for 10 am . Got there at 9:50 am early didn t get seen till 10:35-10:45. Then the vet recommended my dog for another heartworm medication when my dog recently had one . Tried to downgrade corner vet preventative which they agreed but even told me her getting another worming preventive wasn t necessary since she was (-) for all worms in her body that it wasn t necessary at all since she was already on them . Wished next time they didn t leave me there for over 30 minutes waiting to be seen . We also had to go to the desk to ask him was everything okay and they responded the vet should ve been there by now but overall friendly service . They vet was doing her job none to say but some of us do know what is best for our dogs / puppies but we do appreciate the vets support . I honestly don t think I ll ever go back there unless my dog is needed to be help ASAP.

I have been going to I20 Animal Medical Center for over 5 years. Dr Welch and her team are by far the best. She treated my Brittany, Molly, when my regular vet at the time said it was time to say goodbye. Molly had eaten a cloth that needed removed and with the help of Dr Welch and her team, Molly went on to live another 5 years. When it was time to say goodbye, Dr Welch came in on her day off and Kimberlee sat outside under a tree with us as we said goodbye to Molly a few months ago. I can't put a price on what I spend on my pets since they are part of my family, I do know that at I20 I know I'm getting the best care for my pet and me.
Kudos to Dr. Welch, Kimberlee, Troy, Dr Bloom and the whole team at I20, some may choose not to utilize your care and expertise, me on the other hand will continue to trust you with the care of my pets....Thank you for your commitment and dedication to our pets, I'm sure you don't hear that often enough for all that you do.
Sincerely,
Marina Julian

The staff at this facility is awesome. I had two pets who are like children that had to have surgery for an obstruction. Doctors Welch and Robinson, as well as assistants Jade and Zach were beyond helpful and friendly. I immediately trusted everyone with my babies, and that trust was deserved. The procedures were explained to me, my calls were returned promptly, and the overall experience was more than I could have hoped for. I was really impressed with how the doctors and staff treated my pets, and how I was treated. Finally, and more importantly, I am grateful for I-20 saving my babies. It's so nice to have somewhere you can go and be comfortable with leaving your pet. Thank you I-20!

We have had excellent care from the veterinarians, vet techs, and staff at I-20 Animal Medical Center for all 3 of our pets. I give them 5 starts and here are 5 reasons why:
1) We love Dr. Robinson!
2) We feel comfortable if/when another vet has to see our pets (like when have had to come in for an emergency visit).
3) We like the consistency and continuity of care I-20 Animal Medical Center offers our family. Whether it be for our regular pet appointments or during an emergency, we like having all of our pet records, trusted vets and vet techs, and friendly staff in one location where our pets feel comfortable.
4) We appreciate the follow-up phone calls and emails we receive after our visits.
5) And, as pet parents know, pet care can be expensive. That s why we appreciate the multi-pet discounts I-20 Medical Center offers.

Thanks I-20 Medical Center for taking such great care of our pets!

Laci LeCroy- BelzLost & Found Animals Of Grand Prairie, Arlington & Mansfield Area

*Update* Vet confirmed the dog was female and has since crossed the Rainbow Bridge . Took to the Polo Rd. Animal Hospital and they looked him over at no charge to me. She was in very very bad shape. Aside from being matted all over, covered in fleas, she was hit by a car, apparently and had head trauma/was lifeless but breathing. They allowed me to leave him there. **Found this guy in the middle of the road by Christopher street/warrior trail. Not sure of the exact street he was on. Drove to I-20 animal hospital but they wouldn t take him unless I paid for it.
Thanks you I20 Medical Center for showing your total lack of compassion for animal and your only compassion Money! You make me sick. Your staff , vets and owners are all heartless pieces of human waste. This place and its staff have zero empathy for others . The ability to look at emaciated animals or injured animals and just say something to the effect of if you don't pay its not my problem. This place is only in it for the money and don t give a Damn about you, your pets or morality. You make me sick!

Went today with my dog Charlie and had a very good experience. Dr and assistants were nice and I got my dog taken care of. When I left, I found my car battery was dead and could not leave, so I went back inside and one of the girls said she would get her jumper cables and help me get my car started. Her name is Tina and she was wonderful. It s saved me a lot of trouble because she jumped my battery and I was able to go home without any problems. I would definitely go back there again and recommend them to anyone. Thank you so much Tina.

Dr. Bloom is a very professional and dedicated veterinarian who provides caring and effective treatment. We found her entire staff totally helpful and friendly.

Our pet's dental issues were addressed quickly and with very positive results. Dr Bloom's knowledge and experience in this area is most impressive. We would not hesitate to provide the highest recommendation for her.

Hands down, one of the BEST vet experiences I've had in a long while. I've been trying to get my dogs teeth extracted for a long while but other clinics were either way too expensive, over $3000, or they were jerks that made me feel terrible about the whole thing. However, this place is one of kind. They worked with me SO much on the pricing and my dog was not in good shape after the surgery so they kept him over night free of charge for 'round the clock care. I was up all night and apparently so was Dr. Bloom, who did an amazing job caring for my dog! The entire staff are amazing people! I will be coming back in the future for all of my dogs needs.

Absolutely the worst pet hospital experience that I have ever had . Alll they care about is money and not your pets . I was there for almost two hours and they did absolutely nothing to my dog all they where asking for was money . And did nothing to my dog I paid $250 for them to tell me my dog was gunna die. And if I wanted help it was gunna be close to 4K or if I wanted to put him down it would be close to 500I went to a different hospital and they gave him his fluids. Penicillin and another shot all under $150 . He looks a lot better no thanks to this facility

Dr. Welch and Jessica were thoughtful and compassionate and so understanding as we had to send our beloved dog, JayJay across the Rainbow Bridge. It was a very emotional moment and the love and care shown to us as we were present to see his final breath as well as the Dr. explaining what was going on, really comforted me and my daughter. Thank you once again for your kindness and support.

Our older dog reacted very poorly after a surgery ...

Our older dog reacted very poorly after a surgery at a different veterinarians office. Because it was the weekend we could not get in touch with our veterinarian who did the surgery so we took our dog to this place. Everyone there was extremely caring kind and went out of their way to make us comfortable. They immediately gave her an IV and made her comfortable while they ran blood work. Her blood work came back horrible. They presented the options to us and they could have easily taken a lot more money from us by having us leave her there in intensive care running more test but the vet was very honest with us that her blood work was really bad and we ended up having to euthanize her that night. As horrible is having to do that was they could not have been more compassionate in the way that they did it. Our whole family was present, she was put to sleep 1st and then euthanized it was very peaceful and everyone there again was just so compassionate with everything. Doctor Williams was our veterinarian, Christa was the wonderful tech and the lady at the front desk name escapes me but again everyone was simply amazing to us. We knew she was in bad shape when we brought her in we just didn't know how bad off she was. They may be a little expensive but then again they are an emergency vet. They were very upfront and honest with us about everything and I do not feel taken advantage of at all. Thank you for helping our family through this difficult time.

About a month ago our sweet 12 year old chocolate ...

About a month ago our sweet 12 year old chocolate lab/vizsla mix really started going downhill. Our normal vet had been giving us Rimadyl for her to take every day to help with her hip dysplasia but it had started causing problems with her liver and didn't really seem to make her feel any better. When she totally lost control of her bodily functions we knew we had to do something. We called and called to speak with our regular vet about what we should do and she never called us back. We spent the whole weekend with our dog, trying to make her as comfortable as possible. By Monday I was tired of waiting for them and called I-20 Animal Medical Center. I could not stand to see her in pain any longer.

From the moment they picked up the phone they were sympathetic and caring. I was so upset just having to call them and ask about having our sweet dog put to sleep but the person who I spoke with was very kind, very matter of fact, and even said we did not need to have an appointment. She answered all of my questions and was exceedingly polite and and understanding.

When we took our girl in we were already so upset and I think the stress and illness must have gotten to her as well because she vomited all over the lobby. They took us back to a room that they have reserved for families that are having to put their pet to sleep. It was set away from the other rooms.

The nurse was so kind and kept apologizing. I was worried that this whole process would be made worse because they see this sort of thing every day. I thought that they might be desensitized by having to put so many animals to sleep. That could not have been further from what we experienced at I-20. They let us pay for the procedure in the room we were in so we would not have to stand out there in front of everyone. I like that they did this when our dog was in the back having the IV put in. It made it less weird. For those that say they are expensive, we took our pet in during regular hours, and it was the same price as the other places we called. Emergency vets are like ER doctors. You will pay a lot more if you have to go outside of business hours. Much like ER doctors and nurses they do deserve to be compensated for working the hours no one else wants to work and dealing with the stress of constantly being in emergency situations.

Dr. Chapman was our vet for this procedure and he was so kind to us. He said that we did everything we could and that her longevity was a testament to the life we gave her. I really think that if the staff had not been so sweet this would have been so much harder on us. It is not easy to make that call and the last thing you want is to feel like the people doing it don't even care. You just want some reassurance that there really isn't anything else you can do. Our other vet kept suggesting surgeries and treatments--none of them worked and she just kept slipping. At some point you have to do the humane thing for your pet and end their suffering. The folks at I-20 helped us do that and gave us some peace and comfort that we did the right thing.

After it was done they sent us a really nice card. Dr. Chapman wrote a note in it and said he was really sorry. I don't think I've ever gotten a handwritten note from a human doctor let alone a vet.

No one wants to think about putting their pet to sleep but when the times comes you can be assured that you and pet will be treated with dignity and that the staff understands the gravity of the situation.

I have an appt on Wed. June 27, 2018. It is for a kitty I took in that was dumped by a neighbor's daughter when she had to move. This kitty has gingivitis. My regular vet suggested I take her to Dr. Bloom who is a vet dentist. She didn't want to have to pull any teeth if they could be saved.
Hopefully we will have a positive review to write.

I have been 3 times since May (once for annual shots and twice for a sick dog). I have nothing but good things to say about the I-20 Animal Center. My little Dachshund Daisy, wasn't eating and just wasn't herself and I called to see if she could be seen this past Saturday and the person I spoke with was very helpful in getting me an app't. We saw Dr. Michael McCradic and he couldn't have been more caring and thorough in his examination. Physically viewing Daisy, Dr. McCradic couldn't find anything wrong. I opted out of the blood tests at this app't and went the bland food way just to see if it might have been something Daisy ate. She wasn't better on Monday morning and when I called, the person I talked to was again so nice and courteous. Luckily, Dr. McCradic was in and we were able to see him again. Blood tests were done and we were sent home with medicine that has helped her immensley. She has to get her platelets checked again though. Dr. McCradic is the best and we will definitely be seeing him again whether for check-ups or illness. Also, the Vet Tech, Lucy, who was taking care of Daisy on Monday was so helpful and nice. I appreciated all of her help. I reccommend this Medical Center to everyone. Everyone I have come in contact here has been so nice.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS VET to clients who appreciate their own time.

This vet has no respect to their client's time whatsoever! We initially chose them just for the fact that they are open 24/7, but we soon realized that they are extremely bad when it comes to honoring any of their appointment times, which defeats the purpose of being available 24/7.

Thinking about it, I don't even remember one time when we were seen based on our actual appointment time. We always have to wait anywhere from 30 min up to 2hrs! This vet does a horrible job communicating with their clients. For some reason, they think it's okay for their clients to come for an appointment they schedule upfront and wait, as if their clients don't value their time. They have been having these issues for years, well before COVID19, and now they're trying to blame it on the pandemic.

This is unfortunate from an administrative standpoint as we expeeienced no issues with their vets and techs.

Great place! My sister had to take her dog there for an emergency, when other vets turned her away! Her dog got it's tongue caught in a paper shredder!! And I-20 was open and available to save her dog's life, if they weren't open, I'm sure the dog would have bled to death. Her dog, Bella, is now healed and happy again, thanks to the expert and knowledgeable staff that was available at such short notice!

Yes, after hours is expensive, but so is keeping vets on call 24 hours a day. I called them at 10PM, they gave me advice and I came in. Because they were open so late, we took care of the problem early and avoided having to do surgery the next day.

The doctors and techs took such good care of my cat Millie after a run in with my dog proved not in her favor. Yes they are expensive but they are there 24-7 and you can't put a price on that. My vet was closed when this all went down so no price was out of the question. In an emergency this is the place to go.

This Animal clinic has a excellent friendly staff. Woke up and my fur baby Oliver could not walk. He could not even stand. His back legs would not work at all. Even though my animal hospital was open they declined to see Oliver. I was in shock. I just moved here from Baltimore, Maryland and my vet there would never decline to see my animals if they were sick. As soon as I arrived I explained my pet could not walk. Four staff members came out with a cart to get him into the clinic. After talking with the doctor we decided to euthanize. Our baby was old and almost blind. With him not being able to even stand I didn't want him to suffer. When the time came I was able to hold him and talk to him. I want to thank the entire staff and Dr. Hubka for your kindness.

The team was great and I was super appreciative that I was able to go inside with my dog, Amos, versus curbside especially since this was our first visit.
I brought Amos in for a laceration on his front leg from another dog (bite) and they fit me in.
I d rather be safe than sorry and get it looked at sooner than later.
They were very kind, answered all of my questions, and very patient with Amos since he was so nervous.
They were also very mindful about cost and upfront about medications, procedures, etc.
I d recommend them to anyone.

My primary care vet sent me to a clinic in Grapevine when my dog had pneumonia, but she kept getting worse. I was afraid she was going to die. Then a co-worker recommended this hospital. I called and they worked me right in - you could tell they knew I was a VERY worried doggie mom! They also have specialty-trained doctors, and SO much closer so it was easier for me to take my pet in for follow up visits. I told my regular vet they should send their sickest pets to this hospital! Oh, need I add? They saved my dog's life! (We love you, Dr. Welch!)

The techs and doctors are nice enough from what I can tell, but this place is obviously in it for PROFIT. It cost $450 to determine my small cat has an infection (I guess?) and we got some antibiotics...plenty more tests that could have been done, but jeez, come on people! They are obviously not looking out for anyone's financial interests here and sure they care about your pet, but at what cost? Go to your nearby local vet, I'm sure you'll save quite a lot.

Also, when checking out they forgot to give me the antibiotics which is all the doc said we needed. That doesn't show too much care for the animals if you ask me and at best lousy vet work. I attempted to debate the charges, but they wouldn't budge a bit. I'm sure this happens a lot.... when in the care room they go through the options and charges with you... then when checking out if any issues they will say you agreed to the charges and it's recorded. I'm in the security industry and I did notice a camera there... but not sure about a microphone... they insinuated there was audio recording but I did not see any signs indicating so and in fact that is illegal if so. I'm all for paying a fair price for any service but don't even bother here.

Camo our blue heeler got into rat poison from our house. Called poison control center and they said there was nothing we could do for her. It was a Sunday late afternoon so I took her to I-20 24 medical center fully staffed and kept us up to date about Camo. I went several times to check on her and there was 3 or 4 staff members taking care of her. They put her in the ICU unit. They made her vomit and put her on a charcoal IV and saved our dog, Camo. I highly recommend this medical center and the staff.

I used to work here several years ago and can honestly say they are in this for the profit, not the well being of your pets. I worked up front and they would instruct us to get emergency fees up front before a pet could be rushed back. I witnessed a family waiting on someone to bring them the emergency fee and the pet died in the waiting room with doctors 50 feet away, but because they couldn t pay the emergency fee their pet suffered to death. The blankets the kennel dogs get are gross. It s super easy for you to rack up thousands in bills pretty easy because they care only about money. They really should consider payment plans. Management is very condescending towards its staff and customers. Take your pets somewhere else.

I will never go here again. We spent over $600, over 2 visits 2 days apart, and no diagnosis. Took him to another vet and he was diagnosed within three hours for $65. Called I-20 to ask why they couldn't diagnose after $600 worth of tests, and got talked down to by the manager. We are appalled by how disrespectful they are, not only after they've messed up, but the fact that they just run tests to rack up the bill and have no desire to help me figure out what is wrong with my dog. This is not the first time they have tried to price gouge us. It seems like every visit is $200 test after $200 test, with no real result. The same thing happened with our other dog's allergies. I cannot trust them with my dogs care, at all.

In Response to The Manager: I'm sick of the lying. We did have the funds to do more. On Sunday, your vet was getting off 20 minutes after we came in and did not try to do anything more. It wasn't out of concern for us, especially when the response to our frustration was we were "threatening you". When no talk of any sort of action ever came up, except how disappointed we were in your facility. We were told Friday there was NO spinal issue. Please, DO NOT CLAIM WHAT THE OTHER KNOWLEDGABLE CLINIC WAS ABLE TO DIAGNOSE AS YOUR OWN WORK. You were incapable to help us and do not know customer service. When listing your charges, it is interesting you omit the other $150 for an office visit, plus unnecessary medication, since you clearly didn't know what to be treating. You're offer of retest came AFTER the other vet did his job. Why would I bring my dog back to you? I DON'T TRUST YOU WITH MY ANIMALS. And am even further upset and appalled that you would lie about all of this.

My cat died, 3 days later took her in on emergency friday night spent 400.00. They could not pinpoint anything with just commonsense and did not give me a diagnosis . took her home. I mean just because your not willing to spend a 1000. Just to get more details shouldn't be the practice. Love my cat but not as if it's my child. Not willing to go in debt over them. But they never told what i shouldld expect or how to help her. The vet even said it's not pyometra, because she is young and only in Heat once. But later he put it in his notes that he wanted to rule it out. Please make up your mind. I feel like u should care more if someone doesn't pay alot for an animal but doesn't want theme to suffer work with those people too.

On my first visit of June 24, 2020, at around 6:30 until after 11 pm, yes ELEVEN PM

And I have to say, Not such a good FIRST IMPRESSION when a couple of the staff complains about how busy they are and the nonstop phone ringing.

And then right before my dog and I finally get to go to a room after a really LONG WAIT. And then WAIT some more in the room (TYPICAL DOCTORS OFFICE)

The bad part was one of the staff comes out of her office and gets in another employee's face and in a fairly LOUD voice says to her stay the FU%@ OUT of my office. Then as she's walking away she threw something towards the employee behind the front counter/register. I hope she DOESN'T handle animals.

Once seen after a long wait by 3 different doctors that did seem to care about Flex and that I did not have a lot of money to spend. I will say, Amber with the colorful hair was super nice and helpful.

Even after that LONG wait just do blood work, they still wouldn't wave the $50 visit fee.

It'll probably be my first and last visit for any of my animals and myself to this vet clinic.

Staff was very nice and compassionate, My pomeranian was very sick, I had taken him to a near by vet in my area & after $500(2 visits) and not a concrete diagnoses, my husband found this location. Dr. Robinson was able to diagnose (within a 20 mins of test/labs) and help my baby (relief his pain) even enough my baby was not able to recover due to his condition. Dr. Robinson made it possible for him to be comfortable in his last days. I'm very thankful we found her. I was able to spend quality time with my baby. Unfortunately I had to put him to sleep, there is a nice room where you can be with your pet/ I opted to stay while he was put down. They use Faithful friends Pet Cemetery and Crematory. A couple of days later his ashes were returned in a cedar wood pet urn with lock & keys, name engraved on a gold plate. The clinic and crematory were amazing, this was a first time experience and I'm very glad they helped me through the process

I come from the other side of town to come there. I always ask for Dr. Stinson, bc she's been great with both dogs I've brought. I wish that the doctor would spend a little more time in the room on the visit, bc sometimes the assistant to doctor ratio in terms of time seen isn't always great, but I still love this place nonetheless. I've been coming for 9 plus years and will continue to do so.

Having worked here before the staff doesnt care about any other dog besides the cute ones. If you ask for playtime for your dog i can assure you they will not give it any playtime. Staff would rather leave early than stay the entire shift and make sure each dogs cage is clean and taken care of for the night. Staff also ignores special instructions and feeds every dog whatever they want whenever they want. Do not recommend ever going here after seeing how much of a cash grab this place is

You know I understand a business needs to run. But...

You know I understand a business needs to run. But my experience here was horrible. For one they lady in the next room was told that if she doesn't pay the fee of 2000 her dog will die. She asked them for a payment plan to safe her pet and they declined. Another lady told me her dog was really sick, so they told her that these two options and when she paid 700 for all the fixings, took her dog home he died in the car. As for my dog I paid 700 and he died 4 hours later. These people ar horrible and also I was told bc I came in at 6:50 am and they open at 7 am I would be charged extra 128.00 for services.
Please take your pet to a real vet, these people are only out for the money, not the wellbeing of your pet. Heartless is all I can say. Many have paid to only watch their pet die. Wow but God will get them for their faults.

So I got a call from you guys in 8/7/16 @2:00pm
bc of my review! Well I will say this.
1. Why would you place my pets information and name on this site?
2. If you truly cared like you say you did about the safety and health concern for my pet, you would've help more.
3. In your response it says that it was the best choice to take him home bc he would've passed anyway. So why would you push me to pay 1700 and you knew he was going to pass. Why send him home outpatient if you knew he was going to pass. Why charge me 700 if you knew he was that far off. Why lie to me and make me think these meds would actually do something? If you knew he was going to die that's what should've been told. Instead I was told if he stays here he would be up and running the next day! But now you're saying it was for the best. And I never even Seen a manger to even know why he or she is responding to my post. This is horrible and bad for business that you all place people's pet information and how the pet passed.
Further more you proved my point with your response. It's all about money. I'm upset I lost my dog but more so that there is a company such as you all that will allow a pet to die but still charge for stuff that wouldn't even help him. I will bring the meds back to help another family.

The doctors, technicians, and staff at I-20 Animal Medical Center are amazing, very caring and very loving not only to the pet patients, but to pet parents as well. Dr. Bloom and her team are wonderful. Dr. Doherty is amazing. Dr. Welch is a god send. I can't say enough about the vet techs but two stand out among all of them. Josh is wonderful and took care of our baby in ICU and the countless phone calls from us. Tiffany, oh my god, what can I say about Tiffany. She is an absolute angel! She has gone out of her way to make not only "our sweet boy" as she calls him, but my boyfriend and myself feel comfortable and loved. At the end when it was time to say good-bye we asked for her personally and she was there to help not only Leo but Todd and I during this time. She even asked if we wanted her to stay, since we were doing this as a family, my response to her was that we all considered her part of our family. If your needing emergency care, boarding, or vet services I don't think you could find a better "family" to add to yours.

Very positive experience as far as their customer service and Vet practice go. I have taken all my animals there, there have been good circumstances in which our visit only required shots and regular examination, but there have also been times when circumstances were tough and extremely sad like the loss of my cat. They have always treated us with empathy, dignity, and respect, and I cannot express how much I appreciate that. We have always visited with Dr. Robinson and Dr. DeVore, but I have absolute trust in all their vets and vet techs. Thank you all so much for your knowledge and caring professionalism.

If you value your pet and they re in critical condition, do not bring them here. Brought my dog in who had ingested poison and they immediately took her back. An hour later I asked how she was and the receptionist reported back to me that they d put her in a crate , forgotten about her, but would get to her now. Are you kidding? I insisted they give her to me so I could take her somewhere else.

Made an appointment for 3:30. 4:45 rolls around and still no sign of doctor. Techs kept telling us "the doctor will be in soon"
What's the point of making an appointment? We just walked out. Not gonna wait all day.

Reading these reviews has me absolutely DISGUSTED with this place and I am SO GLAD I decided to walk out. HEARTLESS MONSTERS. IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR ANIMAL DO NOT BRING THEM HERE.

Would have given five stars for the initial visit, knocked off three for the (lack of) aftercare. I took one of my guinea pigs here just over a week ago because he had quit eating his hay. I-20 animal medical center is one of the few vets in Arlington that has an exotic vet on staff. My initial visit was great. Got my piggie checked out, discovered he had some sharp points on his molars, and was told that Dr. Robinson, the exotic vet, would be in touch for next steps on Wednesday. I was sent home with a couple of meds and food that the piggie could eat. Wednesday rolled around, no call from the vet, so I called in the early evening and was told Dr. Robinson had left for the day but she definitely had a note to call me and the receptionist would leave another one for her to call me on Thursday. Thursday goes by, no call. Guess I'll be looking around for another vet that treats small animals.

Been bringing our pets here for 15+ years. They are open 24/7. After hours and Sunday visit do cost more, however, if your pet needs medical attention, its great to be able to get them seen at anytime. Our experience has been that the doctor and staff are knowledgable and caring. We were just in recently. Sometime the wait is longer if they are busy but the level of care is very good. As far as dental service, one of our pets broke a tooth 6-7 years ago. The root canal was expensive, but havent any trouble with the tooth since. We recommend I-20 :)

Everyone that I worked with took really good care of my Bella. We worked together to do the best for her within my financial constraints. And she is on the road to recovery. I will come back for sure.

I was able to bring my very sick Bull Mastiff to 1-20. I had taken her to another vet who wasn't sure what was wrong with her. Dr. Kraft did an very thorough exam. Explained every step and every test. He showed me the X-rays, and Ultra Sounds. Thankfully he was there because my baby needed emergency surgery. The staff were very easy to deal with and worked to keep the bill to a level I could afford, and still gave my dog the excellent care she needed. I was very pleased and my girl is on the mend. I will recommend Dr. Kraft and I-20 Animal Medical Center, they saved my dog's life.
