This clinic is the best! One of our dogs was attacked by another a couple years ago, and Dr Bloom and the staff went over and beyond what I d say a human doctor would even do for their patient.

I live about an hour away, so our dogs saw a local vet for their regular care. After a bad experience there, on top of them not taking precautions for COVID, I chose to transfer care of all three of my dogs here. It was well worth the drive to come here.

My experience today was a safe curbside service, and the staff was wonderful as always. I m at high risk for complications from COVID, and it was a huge stress relief to know I can take care of my dogs without putting myself at risk. I d drive here for veterinary care even if they were 2 hours away! I love this place

I had a late night emergency with my dog. And when I got there everyone was very nice. I didn't have to wait but a few minutes. I was a wreck, because my dog was not himself at all. Dr. Wilson had treated my dog. And Jade assisted. Everyone did a fantastic job. So my dog as I said was treated and I took him home. A few hours went by, and I felt there is something not right. I was told if I needed to I come back, that I could and I would not be charged as long as it was in a 24 hour period. And I did just that, and by that time Dr. Wilson had gone home. I apologise, but I cannot remember the other Veterinarian who helped me so much. Both doctors helped very much. As well as Jade. What a great group of people. I forgot the other person's name who helped as well. They all kept me at ease. Just seeing smiling faces was nice. Everything was explained very well. Everyone was knowledgeable. More places could learn from the I-20 Animal Medical Center. Oh, and my Chihuahua is doing so well now too. So I am so grateful for this place, and it's doctors, Jade (going to have play guitar and jam with Jade sometime), and again, I apologise to the other person, I cannot remember her name, if I do, I'll come back and put her name, and the other Veterinarian. So if something ever happened to my Chihuahua again, I would definitely go to I-20 Animal Medical Center.

Both of my dogs were so sick within a 2 day period that I was scared I was gonna lose both of them. I took them here and had a wonderful experience. The techs were all wonderful and sweet, Sarah was so kind and loved on my babies. Dr. Stinson was very kind as well and listened to and answered all of our questions. A day later and my babies feel so much better and I am so grateful to the staff that helped us out. Thank you, when and if my dogs are sick again I will come here.

Horrible place to take an animal if you want your pet to live! All they care about is there money! As long as they get paid your pet means nothing to them! Run away go to the next closest 24 vet clinic (Burleson) maybe a 15 min drive extra but so worth the drive!

Response to owner: I came in and told you guys he had parvo. The tech did the test and actually messed up the test before giving it and I asked her will this effect the test and give a negative result she and the vet said no! I spent $300 that day. No one ever offered for me to come in a retake the test so that s a LIE! They told me each test was going to be about $90. Only for me to come back 10 days later with my puppy almost dying on your table to say yes he has parvo. Oh and I had to pay for that test plus more! I spent over $1000 with y all and basically waisted the $300 I had previously spent because YOU RE tech did the test wrong. When your tech gave him fluids she didn t know what she was doing my Husband actually had to give him fluids while in your office!
Y all made me come back a week straight to pay $200 a day just for fluids and antibiotics (which would only cost about $75 at Burleson clinic)
So like I said people don t waist your money I spent over $1500 for parvo that could ve been prevented and cheaper early on!
On top of everything the wait was ridiculous, especially if your dog is damn near dying on the table. And the tech gives me the excuse of a puppy got attack so he was priority at the moment MY PUPPY could Barley walk or breathe HE was DYING!!!!!! If that s the case y all need more staff!
The clinic in Burleson I swear to y all is a better drive! Cheaper, Better staff, and more timely! I spent about $600 at the Burleson clinic with my other dog when he had parvo! Save your money people don t waist your time!

Took my dog in to get him checked out for some issues he had and after discussing the symptoms, they printed me out a sheet of paper with all the procedures and meds they could possibly hook him up, which was about 700 bucks. Even though it s hard to tell what s wrong without doing tests, I felt they leaned towards me choosing for myself what I want done with my dog without much direction on what they think needs to be done. I was very indecisive about what to do because of the lack of direction so I decided to try a new vet and they told me exactly what needed to be done without trying to sell me every procedure they have to offer. What I didn t like the most was the vet tech recommended that I go home and YouTube his symptoms and figure out what it could be for myself. For that sole reason, I will never go back again.

I choose Poor-Fair because that was the lowest choice availble. Warning!!! This place will RIP YOU OFF! Ridiculously over priced. We boarded our dogs for a little over one week and were charged $806.00 which is utterly ridiculous. You might as well pay to take them on vacation with you or have someone come and house sit. We will not make this mistake again. Sadly, the vets and their staff are pretty nice but we will warn everyone not to use them.

I had two siamese mix cats. After 6 weeks of trea...

I had two siamese mix cats. After 6 weeks of treatment at HSNT in Fort Worth, my female passed away from her cancer on 4/10. Later that evening, my male began throwing up/diarrhea and refusing food. I called I-20 medical center the next morning (Saturday), and told them I wanted to bring him in as a precaution, and told them the whole story about the other cat since I know grief can be a factor. I did request blood work as a precaution. That was my choice. Due to Covid-19, they take the animals in while you wait in the car. A few hours later, they tell me everything is normal, but elevated amylase means gastroenteritis/pancreatis. They send me home with 4 prescriptions. Monday, there is very little to no change...I make an appointment with my vet for Tuesday. That night I realize that my cat hasn't used the litter box all day. I call I-20 - they tell me he may have an obstructed bladder and that it can't wait until morning for my vet. I rush him there and sit in the car until 1:30 in the morning. They say he's fine, just a UTI...give him 3 MORE prescriptions. Total for two visits = 852.16. My vet requests the records...they get records for first visit only. My vet calls me and immediately stops the gastroenteritis meds - one is an OLD medication, not tolerated well by cats (lots of foaming/drool - it was terrible), one of them you can buy on Amazon for a fraction of the cost (pro-plan probiotic), one was a tapeworm med because doc saw flea dirt, but no other evidence of parasites, and one of them was essentially nexium. My cat's "elevated" amylase was barely out of range...and was easily explained by stress due to the other cat's death. My vet calls back to tell them that they are still missing records and they say that the doctor hasn't "input" them yet. Several hours later I call and request that they please send them before his follow up with my vet. Upon finally getting the records...my vet is surprised to see that they charged me for a urinalysis PLUS extra to get urine? (Cystocentesis - extra 35.00). He stopped those prescriptions too...one was a pain medication he didn't need, one was a smooth muscle relaxer that is OLD and a stretch at best for a UTI, and one was an anti-nausea med despite the fact that he hadn't thrown up since Friday? He stopped ALL of the meds (that I-20 just gave me).

Long story short...I had 7 expensive prescriptions I didn't need. The only thing I-20 did correctly was the antibiotic injection for the UTI. All of the rest of it was fluff - unnecessary. I feel like I was taken advantage of - I was grieving my other cat and I was sitting in my car and they just handed me bags full of medication they said he needed. What my cat needed was a dexamethasone injection (steroid) to help reset his system and make him hungry/thirsty given his grief/depression with a little B12. My vet administered that yesterday...was 16.00 total. My cat was back to normal by the end of the day.

Also...they are charging 56.50 for subcutaneous fluids - HSNT which is specialty/cancer hospital for pets, charges 20.00.

My first bill was 436.24, my second was 415.92.

All of his symptoms could have been treated with a steroid injection/B12/and the antibiotic injection - in one visit.

I am giving them 2 stars because the technicians were kind, but I can't feel good about a place that is either intentionally driving up bills or that has uninformed, net-casting vets. Especially right now, when financial concerns are very real.

**had a two star review but I downgraded it to one because of their narcissistic reply.**

My Review: I am disheartened by this company for a few reasons. I don't particularly appreciate that the group chooses to share specific information about our office visit here in the review section. I called over concern for my pup, who was vomiting up blood. When I called, I explained I was relying on my partner to pick the bill up because I had experienced a substantial loss of income due to COVID. They shared how much an emergency visit was. It was apparent that money was a significant factor in getting him (our pup) the care he needed, and if I needed to make other calls, I would. At every step, I was real and honest about finances. I did expect to pay a little more for medication if it was determined necessary. I asked if my partner could pay by phone, which wasn't an issue. Yes, we walked out paying $297 as they said, but they sure as hell wanted to issue us expensive meds we found elsewhere for a much lower cost. And the findings from our visit were he has an upset stomach, nothing life-threatening that the group saw.

On top of that, the group said our current choice of dog food wasn't the best when I said we have been on Nutrish for two months because of the change in income. Yep, they sure as hell tried to push the expensive dog food they carry, which would have put us another $200 over the $600. I said no to the dog food and then chatted with my guy about the $600 bill. That is where his $600 number comes into play. I-20 saying they see we were charged $297 is correct, but my whole experience with my visit was not pleasant. I heard them gossiping about our decisions and then came back in the room with body language and tone that came across as put out that I asked for a prescription to send into Chewy. Twice this company has pushed overly expensive items on us. Our first visit was odd, we were new clients, and I believe in the benefit of the doubt and that we all have off days. Our second visit was worse than the first. Our third visit, the one described here, was a combination of our first and second visits. Shaming language disguised as for your pup's health while pushing overly priced medication and food that I-20 carries. You might want to shop around before using I-20's Animal Medical Center. I have already signed up with a different place. I felt like sharing my experience since the company likes to come back and say, BUT our records show this. To I-20 group: I, Bobbi, absolutely do not appreciate a single one of my interactions with your group at all, and I request that any specific details about our office visit not be shared moving forward.
Gil s Review (which can be seen below): Stay as far away as possible! They wanted to charge over $600 for a visit with blood work just to say my dog had minor gastrointestinal issues and needed doggy heartburn meds. A tummy ache. That's it. Over $600! Wanted to charge me DOUBLE what the meds cost at any other place! My friends dog needed emergency surgery after jumping through a plate glass window and it only cost him $800 at another vet in Mansfield! This place is a scam and are out to get every dollar possible.

Them: Gil, I am sorry - I don't know what happened. I found your account and see where you were charged 297. I see the emergency appointment and the blood-work. Cerenia is terrific medicine for a tummy ache. We never know if its something worse so we try to check what we can to avoid making things worse. We have been working with pharmacy options since you posted this. I am not sure why our medications would be higher than other clinics but we truly appreciate you bringing it to our attention and hopefully we will get it fixed. Mostly we hope your baby is doing well.

Worst place ever and biggest mistake we ever made ...

Worst place ever and biggest mistake we ever made was taking our dog there. DO NOT take your pets there for anything that requires more than maybe a shot. Worst vet experience ever. First when we took him they said he had a piece of food that hadnt gone all the way down. They said a procedure was needed to push it down into his stomach and come pick him up in an hour or so. They never called us yet when i wejt to pick him up around 11pm they said the procedure hadnt gone as planned they pushed to hard and there was no a hole in his esophagus. They said he needed a surgery for 6000$ and in the trophy club area and if we couldnt come up with the money we needed to put him down. I said we would take him home and think about it and they said he would be in so much pain when they woke him it would be inhumane. At that point they presented me with a paper to sign to have him put to sleep and took me back to say goodbye to him with a tube down his throat and basically looking like he was already gone. After speaking with my dad, since it was his dog, they agreed they were at fault amd offered to pay for the surgery if we took him to trophy club right then. We got to the surgery center around 2am the surgeon met us there they shaved him and prepared him for the surgery. The surgeon came out and said there was not hole and he was perfectly fine. After a couple days of observation he returned home and is fine. However, this place was not clear in how they would take steps to prevent another family going through this. Basically they just wanted it over with and no apology. It was an extremely traumatizing experience and shocking that they conduct business like this.

Today was an extremely difficult day for my partner and I. We unfortunately had to lay our baby girl Abigail May Madrid to rest. The room they have setup was not some cold room and didn't look like an exam room. It was in fact quite warm and loving and it made Abigail comfortable we were even allowed to bring her comforter into the room. They allowed my partner as much time to say his final goodbyes both before and after she was laid to rest. The staff was so kind and they even helped take pictures of Simon with her before we let her go. We have had her for a very long time and it's going to be really hard to adjust without her. Thank you to the staff and veterinarian's at I-20 Animal Medical Center for your patience and kindness.

P.S. To all the people I see whining and bitching about cost. If you can't afford to pay for the very best care for your fur baby maybe you shouldn't have a fur baby to begin with. You treat your fur babies like they are your children. If you want the best care possible you go to a place like this knowing they have everything they need in house to give your baby the best care they can get!

Over the years, we have found that it was really no more expensive to bring our cats here, than to take them to a closer non-emergency-equipped vet facility. There are many experienced doctors here and the care offered is incredible!

Yes, things here can be pricey, but that was also the case at our nearby vet office. The difference is that I-20 Animal Medical Care presents options and prices BEFORE performing procedures, where our nearby vet would perform the procedures and THEN present an expensive bill, which we HAD to pay.

I notice that most of the people giving "one-star" reviews don't seem to understand/care that I-20 cannot afford to offer "free" care for their animals and has to make money to stay in business.

After paying thousands of dollars for critical care for our previous cats, we made sure to get pet insurance for our current cat! Fortunately, she hasn't had the problems of the other two. The I-20 staff has been happy to work with us in filing the occasional insurance claim.

Found a dog that had been hit had a broken leg. Took it here, they had the dog for 7 minutes, told me it had a broken leg, which was pretty obvious. $98 dollar emergency examination for that(during Normal hours). Then to get actual answer of what was wrong wanted another 521.00. They admitted to being expensive also. Just want to let everyone know.

We have been going here for a long time, but after our last visit we are looking for a new vet. The vet tech was wonderful on our last visit but that was the only good thing. I had to wait for over 4 hours past my appointment time. Then afterwards I had to call numerous of times to get the results for both my dogs. They finally sent it but it took them awhile.

Boarded my dog here for one night. Once I picked him up in the morning, it was very clear they had not let him out to go to the bathroom the entire time. When you have a dog, you become familiar with how often they go to the bathroom. This was the whole reason I boarded him for a night, so I was not happy at this point.

Furthermore, they told me on the phone I could bring in his own toys and they gladly accepted them once I arrived, but it was obvious they never gave them to my dog. I had brought a stuffed kong, which was still full when I got it back, and this never happens. Every time I give him a stuffed kong, it's empty in 20-30 minutes or less.

This place is wonderful. I am more than happy to share a thank you note we recently gave to Dr Welch and her staff. They have been phenomenal. There is no other place I would or will go from this point forward

Rick and Liz Larson

Dr. Welch and Staff
When I entered the door of I 20 Animal Clinic very early in the morning of June 17th with our Peanut little did we imagine the journey we were about to embark with her.

This journey appears not to have an end in sight yet but it has been quite a journey and we do not believe we would still be on this journey if we had walked in anywhere else.

Peanut s care has been above and beyond in our opinion. You and the entire staff have treated us like family. Her as one of your personal pets in our opinion

We are always kept informed. We always know her progress. It was so heartwarming while she was in ICU the first four days we could call or come by and visit and then while she was boarding for two weeks we loved the pictures that were shared with us.

We are just so appreciative for the last couple of weeks that we can drop her off on our way to work so meds can be administer and then we can pick her up and there is no charge. I am just at a loss of words for that kind of care. It is just a great peace of mind

Most importantly is Peanuts reaction when we arrive. Her Daddy was telling me about a morning where he did not get the leash on her quickly upon arriving and she just ran for your door. The tail wagging says it all. She is happy to come and visit. The fact she is happy is the greatest peace of mind of all

We could go on forever. The long and short of it is we cannot thank you, the other doctors and your staff for what you have done for Peanut so we have her longer in our life. When I arrived we were so afraid we would lose her. She means the world to us. More especially to my husband. I highly recommend your clinic.

We look forward to a long relationship with I20 Animal Hospital

Once again thank you for all you have done and will continue to do

Convenience of hours, Great care takers, Great professional knowledge through-out the staff!!

I originally started going here, when my dog's PREVIOUS doc took stiches out, I took the dog home, and the skin started popping open. I tried to call that doc back, but his office was closed. He had no answering service, and left no number to call for emergency. What a blessing it turned out to be. I have now been going here 9 years. We've had several emergencies, but each one was handled. And...as far as the regualar stuff goes....I LOVE that I can just do a walk-in...and GET in! They offer early evening and Saturday visits at non-emergency pricing. Now THAT fits my schedule!! As far as pricing...I have gone to non-emergency vets that cost me more...so now, I only go here...and why not?!!! Paco, Bubba and Sis all love the staff!!

First, I would like to thank Dr. Kraft and Lindy for taking such good care of my baby girl Leela. Lindy was amazing in calming down my girlfriend when she has to take Leela in after hours. Dr. Kraft realizes not everyone can afford every procedure that is itemized on the list. I was able to give him a dollar amount limit, and he did what he could. Leela is now nearly fully recovered 3 days later!

Second: to all the people leaving seriously misleading reviews on here, shame on you for exaggerating, and shame on you for not being smarter! The itemized list of procedures they present is not a bill. They are simply showing you what they feel should be done to efficiently and professionally take care of your pet to the best of their ability. You can choose to do none of the things they recommend, which could lead to the death of your pet, or some of the things, which could go either way, or you can do all of the things, and if your pet is sick enough it still might pass. Frankly I'm surprised the owner of this facility doesn't sue more of you folks for defamation. And believe me, you CAN be sued for leaving patently false statements on a review.

Anyway. Thanks to Dr. Kraft and Lindy, y'all were awesome.!

This place is horrible. The staff ignore you, they are always unorganized. This is my second time at I20 hospital. The first time no one was there and I waited 45 minutes to talk to someone. The second time I called ahead and asked if they had a long waiting time and they say no but you have to come immediately. I was there in 5 minutes literally and I waited 15 minutes at the front desk. Three different ladies were there no one said nothing no even Hi or can you please wait a minute, nothing... I just left... please do go there... it is horrible and expensive...

We have a few rescue dogs and when we brought them to this facility everything seems great they seem to know what they were doing. But when I called to ask question, it took me having to call a few times and raise my voice the last time I called because I want to know what I could do to help my poor fur baby. I don't know if I would really recommend this clinic

We made an appointment at 3:30pm. We made it there early. We tried to explain the issue and the nurse seemed to be having trouble remembering which foot we were talking about. We waited well over an hour and they seemed to not care so we left. Another 30 minutes went by and I suppose they discovered we were no longer in the room. They called my wife on the way home with an attitude. If you truly love your animals, do not take them here.

If your pet has an emergency please take the time ...

If your pet has an emergency please take the time to find a different vet, the extra minutes spent online will be worth it for your animal.

They shaved the skin off of my dog rather than just the hair so over half the area was bleeding when I brought him home. The 1 square foot area they had to shave cost $38, you'd think they could at least do it properly.

They did fix him when I took him in on a night emergency but even the stitches could have been done a little better. They nickel and dime you to death. They will give a "low and high" amount estimate of what it will cost and make you pay the high amount up front. Don't expect any refund because they will find a way to charge you the full amount (including testing him for heartworms while he was unconscious for surgery even though my normal vet had tested him and he's on monthly meds).

The pain meds they gave me made my dog constipated and when I called them their day staffs' suggestion was to just stop the pain meds and increase his fiber. They did not bother to see how recently the surgery was done nor did they clarify how to increase the fiber. I had to insist on different pain meds because my dog had just has serious surgery and it was unnecessary for him to be in worse pain and then they didn't give me any paperwork on it to know the side effects included etc.

Horrible experience with my Yorkie after boarding ...

Horrible experience with my Yorkie after boarding at I20 Animal hospital for 5 days.
PLEASE think twice before boarding your beloved animal there because you the customer are fully responsible for all fees if your pet gets sick there. My yorkie was there for 5 days last week and within a matter of days after leaving their care started coughing, sneezing, not eating or drinking and not moving around like his normal self.
I contacted the hospital within a few days to letthem know that my dog had been boarded there a few days prior. They asked that I bring him in and an exam would be performed on him. The appointment was today. After examining him; was told that they wanted to run more tests to see what the issue could be.
The total bill would be $465.90 for the recommended test of which i was expected to pay 100% of it. There was no responsibility or ownership taken from the hospital. After complaining of the high cost. They came with another estimate which was medication only for $134.87. The hospital has no idea if this is what my dog needed but wanted to give him this because i refused the $465 fee. Both of these were at my expense.
I am writing this review in hopes that you will think twice before boarding there or using their services as they choose to take zero responsibility when animals get sick while under their care.

Let me tell you about my first (and probably last) experience with this clinic. My regular vet told me that this clinic might stock a special type of prescription dog food I was in need of. I called and the lady that answered the phone assured me they had this food in stock. I drove to their location and was told when I got there that no, they did not have this food in stock. I did get a "I'm sorry", but that was it, even after being assured they had it in stock. Luckily I didn't drive an hour and two to get there and find this out. I only wasted about 45 minutes of my time. Come on people, focus and concentrate - it's not that difficult.

Fail to make me understand why do I have to be at the appointment while everything can be done without my presence. Just call me with your darn treatment plan. Some people actually actually busy and can t afford a maid to do this.

And I specified drop off. Staff noticed. But you have to be in there. But I did not arranged extra time.

Why can t you just understand your clients? You agreed to the request?

Everyone needed to be re-train. People are nice. Just the training system is lacking. Not American quality.

I went there for three separate occasions for 3 of my dogs and I had the BEST experience as far as the staff and the care that was provided.
My dog Chico was diagnosed with lymphoma and Dr Williams helped me keep Chico as comfortable as we could for the remainder of his time with me. I was also there for my dog Sasha when she was attacked by another dog and they worked with my budget to make sure she got the care that she needed and never turned me away. Lastly I went for my dog Nala for a check-up. I recommend this place and I will keep going for any future appointments/needs for my furry kids.

My dog has been feeling bad and we have taken them there twice in less than 48hrs. They dont have anything on record concerning his visit and we are being told they put him on medications he does not need. They never even gave us a diagnosis, if you love your animal stay away please!!!!!! They never gave him a full exam and he was prescribed medication for symptoms he never displayed and medications that a puppy should not be on. They exploited our feeling to take our money!!!! NEVER EVER EVER GO THERE

In response to what you just wrote back let me correct you me and my husband spent over 800 bucks on my puppy so money was not a problem every test you suggested we agreed to and paid for. YOU NEVER DIAGNOSED HIM WITH ANYTHING I HAD TO TAKE HIM TO PETCO TO GET A DIAGNOSIS!!! YOU PRESCRIBED HIM AN ANTBIOTIC THAT WAS FOR A FULL GROWN DOG NOT A PUPPY AND THAT COULD HAVE HURT HIM EVEN MORE! MY DOG HAS POLYIMMUNE ARTHRITIS WHICH YOU DID NOT DIAGNOSE SO PLEASE STOP IT!!!! YOU NEED TO CHECK YOUR MEDICAL REVIEW. YOUR PEOPLE DID NOTHING FOR MY PUPPT BUT TOOK MY MONEY. YOUR REPLY IS FULLY INCORRECT!!!!! DONT TRY TO GAIN SYMPATHY POINTS WITH YOUR REPLY

I have four cats who are my kids. Cats are hard to figure out, and one of mine is not too happy to go to the vet, but the doctors here are so thorough and patient, even when my cat is not cooperating LOL. They always do a full workup and have identified some health issues early in my two oldest who are now 19 years old and going strong thanks to this hospital!

Very expensive. Took my 1-year-old cats in to have their teeth cleaned. Dropped them off in the early am. Got a call late afternoon telling me they d only just started cleaning their teeth. Then they told me both cats had feline resorption - a disorder that causes their immune system to attack their own teeth. They used all kinds of scare tactics to try and get my to agree to several thousand dollars of dental work and have most of the cats teeth pulled. They even told me the cats would die if I didn t take care of it. So not cool! A little research and a second opinion assured me that it was fine to let nature take its course as long as nothing got infected. 9 years later my babies are healthy and happy, and still have most of their teeth. Never going back.

We had one of the best experiences you could have at a vet ER on Saturday night. My husband and I adopted a kitty who is 7mo old. He is a sweetie, but like a lot of people right now he has a head cold. His symptoms matched Feline URI so I wanted to try and get ahead of the illness if possible. Dr. Tiane Devore was EXCELLENT and so were the other staff members. No one question my thoughts, instead they asked us questions and wanted to know what we were thinking. I have never come across this at any other vets office. We will definitely use this clinic as our regular vet with both of our fur babies. Thank you Dr. Tiane and team for outstanding work on Saturday. You put this panic momma heart at ease.

Our Chula's last vet office visit ever, was with Dr Richardson earlier this month. The diagnosis received that day was disturbing and very sad. Chula is no longer suffering. She is profoundly missed. Thank you Dr Richardson for your kind and the gentle professionalism. It was a hard day for us. You certainly made a difference. Thank you, also to all of the staff of 1 20 Animal Medical Center.

Been a long time since I've been to I-20 but I would gladly take my pets there and have in the past. 3 other vets failed to diagnose my girl Molly properly. Dr Welch was able to diagnose a very rare fungal infection that we were able to manage until we had to let her go. When we did, Dr Welch met us in the parking lot where we got to say goodbye to her under a beautiful tree.

Also took my cocker spaniel Lucy there for many years when Dr Paulson was on site for glaucoma. All the staff treated my animals well.

My roommate took his dog in, in the late stages of parvo. They made him wait to have someone pay 98.00 over the phone just to walk into exam room. Fine payment up front. Then they wanted to take a myriad of expensive tests that were unwarranted and time consuming. After explaining there was no money for all that and obviously time was of the essence at this stage they still did and charged for a parvo test. It was parvo which we already knew when we brought him in. Hours and 400.00 later the dog died. I believe the dog was past saving when brought in and any vet could have seen it. This was all about money. There was no compassion or concern for the animal no sense of urgency. I wish i had a picture to post of the poor tiny thing when he was brought in and left sitting there while they were trying to pad the bill instead of trying to save his life. Or what more likely was the case should have telling my friend this poor baby isn't going to make it no matter how much money you spend here. Instead they said well you could try the overnight for 3000.00.
Shame on you.

Took my teacup chihuahua to i20 for boarding. We provided the food, toys, clothes and bed, They never once told us that she needed an Influenza shot but I had no time to find another place so i accepted. At the end of one of the papers that they made me sign they the option to give them your phone number and they would text you and send you pictures of your dog through her stay. 2 days had passed and I had received nothing so I decided to call and check up on my dog. I asked the secretary why I was not receiving any updates of my dog and she said she hadn't put that information in the computer yet so I asked her if she could please add it. She did tell me my dog was okay and was doing fine. Through out my dogs 9 nights of her stay I only received 1 picture of her. When we finally picked her up one of the nurses said we could not see her yet, we had to pay first. The bill had random additional items listed like treats and extra walking. They never once asked me about this but honestly in that moment I was tired from the flight that I did not feel like arguing and also I really wanted to see my dog, so i just payed. As soon as we left I put her on the ground so she could stretch her legs. I start noticing that she's dizzy and not able to walk, so i assumed she was just hungry, As soon as I get home I feed her and she ate her whole plate so quickly that it made me think that she was not being fed well. She also had diarrhea for a few days and was always flinching when I tried to pet her. If you love your dog stay away from that place. They're greedy, rude and do not care about your pet

Submitted a request online for an appointment and never received anything back confirming a time.
Called advising my dogs needed their nails clipped and a bath, as well as their vaccines.
They said we could drop by for their nails but needed an appt for the vaccines and bath. Secured an appt for 7pm the next day on Monday. Went Sunday to cut their nails and stood there for at least 30 minutes while the girl at the front desk was multi-tasking and taking phone calls...so we stood and stood and stood. We finally get to trim their nails- all good.
Went in the next day and stood and stood and stood while they finagled around trying to figure out some guys messed up prescriptions. We stood there at least for half an hour or more. Finally get to the counter only to be told it was too late for baths and we would need to schedule for another day. (This wouldn t have been an issue if that would have been told to me when I scheduled the appointment).???
We went ahead with their vaccines and everything was fine.
My bulldog had started being aggressive towards our boxer and was attacking him daily (they have lived together for 4 years since the bulldog was a puppy). I called on Friday to request anxiety meds for her. I was told they were really busy but would try to get a doctor to advise if they could prescribe or if I needed to take her back in. No call back.
I called again on Sunday morning- someone was supposed to call me back- never came.
I called again late Sunday afternoon- the doctor who had seen her for her initial exam was not there so they would try to get another doctor to take a look and determine what they could do....nothing....no response.
I will be changing to a vet with a smaller practice where the follow-up is part of caring for the patients.
Done.

Brought in my dog who was really sick and they diagnosed her with pancreatitis. We left her there for 2 days as that what was recommended, after 2 days I get a phone call saying my dog is doing better and she was ready to get discharged. We bring her home and she seems worse than when we brought her in, throwing up, having trouble breathing, no energy. The question I had was why was she sent home if she clearly was not better. I still have the voicemail saying she was doing a lot better and ready to be discharged. I noticed from the time she came home that she seemed more of the same than anything better. Made me feel like it s only about the money for them. When I asked why she was sent home when she was not better no one could give me a clear answer. All her symptoms got worse and I took a leap of faith and brought her back and Left her there for another 3 days and they were unable to solve the issue with her pancreatitis. I know my dog was terribly sick and the veterinarians tried there best but the whole sending her home he first time runs me the wrong way.Ended up having to let my beloved princess go last night and seeing another vet and a vet specialist . And today i came to pick up my dogs bed and blankets as they said they were washing it when she was discharged as to why she didn t have it when we brought her home for the final time from this place. They could only find her bed and when I asked about the blanket they said they couldn t find it and there wasn t anything they could do unless they find it. That blanket was my dogs favorite blanket and it means a lot to my family and I and are sad they lost our stuff. And to be honest they didn t seem to care when I said it meant a lot to me and would like it back. Wouldn t recommend bringing your beloved pets here or at least be thorough with your options.

I went to this location this past Tuesday with my mother to help her with her dog never really been to this place and never want to go back ! When we got there everything that would be done to apollo was given to us on a paper to check how much would be spent. This bill was ridiculous for the most part but my mom loved her baby, so whatever. But I asked would it all be done do you need help with him? No the guy with the big beard told us, he will be fine. Apollo had ticks all over him it was heartbreaking thanks to the idiot neighbors who live like trash! He was infested poor baby barking crying trying to get away from that torture. We left him at this facility for a total of 5 hrs at least until my MOTHER CALLED to see his progress....NOTHING WAS DONE TO HIM! WTH HAVE YOU BEEN DOING WITH HIM FOR 5 FREAKING HOURS . On top of that my mother had to talk you down on the price because I'll be damned if I pay over 300 for nothing this place and the lady that came and spoke with my mother didn't realize how disappointing this visit was I was furious but kept my cool for my mother. You tried to make us pay for something you didn't do which was bathe him or give him the meds he needed ! If I can handle apollo with him barely knowing me how the hell can't you. He's not dangerous he's still a puppy he greeted you guys let you pet him he just wanted help I found a better place for him I should've recommended my mom before she made an appointment at this place NEVER COMING BACK AGAIN NOT WORTH IT !

Update: Yes he's taken to my vet on the westside of fort worth they take care of my pitbull as well as my chihuahua mix and very reasonable with pricing. The expression on my face was pretty much my conversation with you guys! If you really wanted my opinion you would've acknowledged me as well as you did my mother!! We may have settled with that payment but you have no idea what we went through to get apollo back to where he was before this all happened. My review is my experience I still SAY you guys should've called us the minute you know you couldn't do what we asked so we could've gone from there Me and my mother had just gotten off work cleaned a yard thoroughly cleaned EVERYTHING of his in the heat as long as you had him (nearly 5 hrs) and she had to call you guys! That's not right ... like I said this is a less..okn learned you just want money it's a beautiful place but I don't know about the employees idk where their heart is .

I called this place late on a Friday night because my hamster was bleeding from her genitals and her eyes were swollen like crazy. I told her I can't afford to bring her in as an emergency (even tho she told me it's an emergency and she wanted me to bring her in then but it wasn't reasonable for me. She understood completely) The woman I talked to on the phone was a sweet heart and let me cry to her on the phone about my poor little fur baby for about 30 minutes. She told me options I could do to make my hamster comfortable until I can bring her Monday to see a specialist for 28$. I was more than happy to pay that! Great price! Me being 17.. price is my biggest issue. I called Sunday to double check I could bring my little Syrian hamster in and the prices TRIPLED! The woman (different girl) on the phone said that they didn't even have a specialist for hamsters and it will be 75$ (For a 17 year old. That's a big jump in price when I cant afford a vet in the first place) just for someone to see her during non emergency hours! I'm afraid I'm going to bring her in Monday and they raise the price even more. I don't expect vets to be cheap, but I'm not too sure how I feel about them raising the prices on me last minute, ESPECIALLY READING A LOT OF THESE REVIEWS. To the woman who helped me Friday night, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I wish I could have given just you 5 stars. Bless you! <3

Update: (7/7/17) If y'all could please let the girl I called know that because of her help, my little hamster is still barely holding on. I thank her a ton. One week has gone by, and shes still here with me. Although I am still afraid to bring her here for extra assistance. Especially to put her down.

It took me awhile to be able to have enough courage to write a review on my horrible experience with this hospital. I want to say that I would definitely not put any stars but just to write a comment you have to so keep that in mind. My pup went through a traumatic injury that happened so quickly that I rushed him to the nearest hospital which was this one. As soon as I walk in my puppy is still breathing and holding on for dear life. As soon as I walk in I am crying for help and they take my pup right away. They asked me what happened and I began to tell them what happened. I was historical of course because my puppy is only 2 months old and is throwing up blood. Right after I told them the story they stated it would cost $90 just to see him. I had nothing on me because I rushed out the house helpless. I was able to get someone on the phone to pay for it. As soon as I paid the doctor came out and she didn t even know the full story but automatically told me it was going to cost $3500 to get him fixed but he most likely wasn t going to make it. I asked her if they can do whatever they can and I will find a way to pay for it I just wanted them to do anything they could and then I told her what happened. After I told the doctor the story she stated it would still cost around $2500 dollars after all the treatment and medicine. But for her to even try and save his life at that moment I needed to come up with $450. Mind you I had nothing on me and I didn t have that amount just laying around. I applied for every loan I could and got denied. The whole time the doctor was just waiting on me to make a payment before she even looked at my pup again. She just kept asking me was I able to come up with the money and did I get approved and that his chances of living were little to none. After 45 mins of me doing everything I could she came back and told me he passed away. After 5 mins of me crying my eyes out a tech came in to ask me how was I going to pay for his cremation. Again all they care about is money. Not about how they could help my puppy. I went to multiple vets after this and asked and they all agree that his death could have been avoided if they tried to help my pup. It s sad that this hospital only cares about money. What s even worse a lot of people have went through this same situation at this same hospital. I know you guys read all the comments and respond with how you can better serve us for the next visit blah blah blah. Don t even bother writing on my comment because there is nothing in this world you can say or do to bring my puppy back. If you are reading this please do not take your animal here for any reason all they are looking for is money.

I called Creekside Animal Clinic immediately and was told "we close in 5 minutes" I then called I-20 Animal Center and they welcomed me with open arms and calmed me down. I have seen almost all the vets at one time or another! Obviously I am partial to a few because they were with our family every step of the way until the very end. They did everything to give our little chihuahua Bruiser a very good quality of life while battling renal failure. We were able to love him just a little longer, and he was not in pain. It meant the world to us because we were a career military family. We adopted Bruiser when my husband deployed to Iraq the first time. Our daughter and myself were all alone in Johnstown, PA. That is a very long way from all our family and friends in Texas! this little guy was a fighter, and he lived longer than they had anticipated. They truly care about your little family member. They have always worked with us when I simply ask.
They are all GOOD people. They are very compassionate and care for the humans too!!!
God Bless you guys!!

Brought my dog in for an emergency, rude staff on the phone, rude staff in person (lady yelled at me in the front lobby with other patrons present AND she was training someone), long wait times. I was told my dogs emergency took 4 hours to be seen because we didn't have an appointment...? But then had to wait almost an hour at my follow up appt. Staff also lied about the vet seeing my dog "right now" even though he wasn't actually seen for over an hour later. I could go on and on and into great detail, but basically don't go here unless every other 24 hr clinic is unavailable.

The staff at I 20 Animal were all very nice and helpful. Dr. Wegenast was the vet we saw and he helped us tremendously and was very kind and patient.
Our dog just suddenly became paralyzed from the waist down last weekend ( probably from a back injury ) and it was quite a shock and very upsetting to us as his owners. But the Dr was has been so kind that it has made a bad situation much more bearable and he has put my mind at ease about the future of our dog's health. I also felt like the prices were reasonable. It might seem expensive to some people at the time but the top quality care like we received made it well worth it.
Thank you to Dr. Wegenast for everything !

As some people have already said in the reviews, these people are heartless. I took my cat to this place because he was acting strange all of a sudden. The cost for treatment was very high, and when I asked for a payment plan, they wouldn't allow it. Only had $500 to spend on my cat. The doctor said my cat had "urethral obstruction" and that it could lead to kidney failure. They sedated my cat to get some work done, but since I couldn't pay for much of the treatment, they only provided what was "most necessary." And that they weren't too concerned about sending him home because he was "easy to unblock." As I took my cat home, he looked even worse than when I first brought him in. The next morning he woke up lifeless. I called the hospital to tell them what happened and some other doctor looked at his blood work and said that my cat had kidney failure. The doctor the night before never mentioned he had kidney failure. He only said the obstruction could lead to it... I am extremely saddened by this situation, and will not recommend this place to anybody. Banfield Pet Hospital is amazing, and I would've taken my cat there but they were closed.
And shame on this business for making patient's names public on this review page. I-20 animal medical center, I am not interested in hearing your explanation again. You should've told me his kidneys failed. And I'm starting to think you lied, and you actually over-sedated my poor cat. He is irreplaceable. You heartless hospital.

If you choose to go here please proceed with caution for your pet's sake. If I could give zero stars that's what they would get! Very unprofessional! They wouldn't let me stay with my cat, they took her to "the back". My pets are like my children and I never left my child alone with the doctor but this vet expects me to leave my pet alone! Then they treated my cat without authorization and wanted to charge an exorbitant amount! Very unsatisfied and worried for all the animals that can't talk and tell us what these horrible people did to them!

I am a long time customer of at least 30 years. I don t hesitate to take my fur babies here. I do not worry about their ability to care for my pets. I love that there is staff on site 24 hours. I highly recommend I20!

My boyfriend's cat is 15 years old and has been diabetic for 2 years. We thought we were doing everything we could for him, but heard wonderful things about this clinic and decided to go there for a second opinion. I am so glad we did!!! Dr. Welch asked us about our baby's first 15 years of life, then gave him a thorough exam (which he appreciated less than he should have) and THEN educated us on his disease and what we needed to do to find out EVERYTHING that was going on to keep him healthy for as long as we could. We are so grateful we brought him to this hospital! Dr. Welch identified some other issues and we are treating them and our cat acts like he is five years old again. I wish we had come here 15 years ago :)

They did everything possible to get my Diesel taken care of without costing me an arm and leg. I was going to walk out after I was denied care credit, but several staff told me not to they will help him. They said he has to be cared for. I was hurt thinking wow how could I not afford to take care of my baby, but they never once made me feel like that. They understood health care costs for people and pets are expensive. I left their with insurance info for my Diesel and confidence that I did a good thing for him. Everyone was so friendly and patient to Diesel, that was special to me because he was so scared he was shaking. Thank you guys.

If we could give a higher rating other the a 5 Star, this should be a 10+++++

Dr. Bonnie Bloom is an amazing doctor , besides that she is an amazing person that really cares about her patients, and not just her furry friends but all the family that is affected from it.

Also her side she has an amazing team to help her. I never worry about when we have to take Rodeo to her. Rodeo is always happy to see her and her staff.

If you ever find yourself in a place that you need AMAZING doctors and staff that treat them like they are part of their own family.

Excellent place for everything-- I started coming here in 1999 with a rabbit that was attacked by a rottie- they were compassionate and gave excellent care- he survived thanks to them. Then it was a cat who had an obstruction, a dog with eye injuries and puppies. Then I realized they offered routine care so all my vaccinations and regular stuff was right there when i had an emergency! 24/365 they were there if i needed routine care, advice, an emergency or middle of the night food. After a while they finally hired me and now I am proud to be an employee at the place I have trusted for years to take care of my pets. It's the most caring perfect place and I always have and always will trust them with my pets.

Today my sweet Cammie went over the doggie Rainbow Bridge. Her cognitive abilities, lungs and other neurological issues became just too much for her. She just could not relax. She would have been 15 April 22. Cammie was the BEST DOG EVER. She was just so sweet. Many many thanks to Dr. Cindy Welch and the staff at I20 Animal Medical Center. Without Dr. Welch recognizing what the underlying problem was, Cammie would not have made it this long. I am forever grateful. I will miss her so much.

Immediately took him in.. a pretty hefty bill but I understand the seriousness of a snake bite. Thank you to vet tech Terri and Dr Robinson. They really helped me be calm about it, I was pretty nervous. His bite became abscessed a few days ago and got him back in.. got stronger meds and it was drained. Crossing my fingers Cash will be well soon. I'm happy with the care we received. Thanks again!

I am one of those furbaby moms! My friends know I am OCD when it comes to the care of my babies. We live in Prosper but were visiting my parents in Mansfield when my sweet little Henry was attacked by the neighbor dog! We were in panic and blood was everywhere. We were so thankful my mom knew about I-20 Animal because it was 6pm on a Saturday and who is open then? We got there and the lobby was full but the little girl behind the counter came around and so kindly took Henry but as she did she was so sweet to acknowledge my panic. She looked me in the eyes and said, "Don't worry we're here to help." She said she was taking Henry straight to the ICU where a doctor would be and the other young lady would get some information and get us into a room but not to worry that the doctor and staff are trained in all of this. The other young lady got us towels and let us clean up and got us settled in a back room that looked like it was for staff only. My sister came up and they took her and my nephew to the room. They kept us up to date on everything that was happening. They let me go to ICU and peek in on him just to settle my nerves. It was a fully functioning hospital and he had so many of their staff helping. I had no idea places like this existed for dogs. Henry was hospitalized for two days and had a doggie blood transfusion?! One of the staff members brought their dog up to donate -she told me her dogs blood was magical and would help Henry get through this. These amazing people all checked on me and updated me and let me visit for hours in the critical care area. They got a chair and let me just sit there with my Henry for hours. They brought me drinks and when they had employee pizza they brought me some. When Henry was feeling better he didn't want to eat so one of the girls got her lunch and took some chicken out of it for him to eat. There is so much to say about the entire staff. When the manager came back to ICU she stopped to ask how we were doing and told me that the doctors on staff were the best. Henry is safe and well at home with me now and this is my new clinic for Henry and his brother. It's a drive but it is well worth it. I'm so thankful for these people. God bless you!

This place is HORRIBLE!!!!!! They are more concern with making you pay high prices without caring for your pet. I brought my dog in after midnight because she was having seizures. They quoted me 1,300 dollars to stabilize her and get her treated. Because I was unable to pay right then and there (even though she was still currently seizing ) they pretty much had nothing more to with me or my dog. After she kept having seizures all morning long she ended up dying that morning. Had they just tried to help me she would still be alive. I thought this was an emergency hospital. I will never recommend them to anyone. This just happen this past Sunday. My baby died 4/9/2017. I wish I could make a review without giving them a rate

My little girl Mandy (miniature Schnauzer) has some major health issues found about 5 weeks ago by Dr. Welch and her outstanding team. I was going to be out of town for 10 days and I had never boarded Mandy before, since they knew all of her health issues I decided to leave her with them. I worried (unnecessarily) about her, although I had no reason too. They provided outstanding care and she was very happy there the entire time. I am not really sure she missed me. Special thanks to all of you who provide extradinary care for our pets. Doctors, aides, staff, etc. you are the best. Thanks for all you do.

If you have not visited this facility you should, it will be the best decision you will make for you and your pet. If I had not chosen this facility I would not have known the major problems my little girl had and the quick actions taken by Dr. Welch and her team provided her with a quality of life she would not have had. Even though she has major issues, they work hard to provide her with the best care possible. Please give this facility a try, you will be glad you did.

Sincerely

Nancy Coleman

Dr Welch and staff helped our dog Koda live comfortably for a couple extra months after diagnosing an aggressive form of cancer. The team were very sensitive to our struggle and did all they could do to help us and our buddy Koda. I'd recommend Dr Welch and staff any time!

Staff is considerate but when it comes down to what is best for your pet they are worried more about the money and not your pet. We went to the ER my dog was still responsive and alert they gave him medicine to stay hydrated and that was it. He tested negative for parvol buy they insisted that is what the problem was. My dog died on the way home.

The staff and doctors at the I-20 clinic are very kind, caring, and extremely helpful people. I've been impressed every time I go there. Last friday my baby girl had spay surgery. They put a chip in for me AND asked me if I wanted the last of her baby teeth removed (to save time and money) since it wasn't likely they were going to fall out on their own. I appreciated that, since this is the first small dog I've owned. (4lbs.)
I was concerned about the surgery because she seems so tiny and I was afraid something might go wrong, but the Dr. and techs were very supportive, caring and informative. They eased my fears. I didn't want my baby to go thru any "surprise" pregnancies, so I went ahead with the surgery. I worried for nothing! Only three days after the surgery and she is ready to romp and play just like before! I have to curb her enthusiasm because she is supposed to be calm and careful for another couple days. I'm very happy with the wonderful care the medical center gave my baby girl. I recommend the I-20 Animal Medical Center to EVERYONE!

My dog needed a rabies update and her usual vet wasn't able to see her for awhile. I called I-20 clinic and she was scheduled immediately. My dog is not friendly with strangers and other dogs. The technician was understanding and compassionate, the vet was friendly with her and we left very happy. The back of her new tags include her name and my number. Looks like we have a new vet.

My boyfriend and I took our poodle in after he was hit by a truck. The staff was very helpful since we were upset and crying. They took our dog to the emergency room and let us go into a room. They gave us an estimate for surgery and then kept us updated. SHe stayed in the hospital for two days and honestly it was a very reasonable cost. We were welcome to visit int he hospital and the staff was so nice. Cyndi and Mystery were taking care of her when we stopped in to visit.
SHe did well. The staff called to check on her. I read the reviews and I am so thankful we didn't pay attention t them. These people were all so sweet and caring. Oh, and we even got a refund so they really not about money. Thank you staff at I-20 Animal Medical Center!

I had an appointment at 11:30 a.m. on a Saturday for my guinea pig. I ended up waiting for 2 hours before we were seen. The Vet checked out my guinea pig and ordered a test to be done. Then I had to wait another 20 minutes before they did they did the test. I was told she would have the results in 10 minutes. Well, that took another 20 minutes.

Now, I understand I wasn't the only one there and there were only 2 Vets that day and they were semi busy but I was there with a small guinea pig. What ended up taking 2 1/2 hours could of taken 30 minutes.

Besides the wait, the facility is very clean and everyone is very nice.

I have been to I-20 AMC 3 times. No complains, the vet was very professional and the lady's behind counter as well. Coming here after regular business hours is more expensive but as long as you are aware of it and willing to pay the price it's all good. I like this place and will use them again for emergency situations.

They were able to take me in almost 30 minutes earlier then my appointment was set for. They were extremely nice and took great care of my fur baby. They awnsered all the questions I had. They went over everything in full detail to help me understand what was going on with my pup. She is already starting to feel better and be herself again. Thank you so much! The staff is wonderful!
