I got to the room and was instantly impressed. Everything was perfectly perfect. They thought of every little convenience you could ask for. The room was so clean and tidy plus the staff was friendly and very accommodating. Wonderful experience
I was disappointed in this hotel. Upon arrival, I am used to getting complimentary coffee & cookies. Not offered here. They have a Star Bucks, but the workers were slow ( the line got very long)and the drinks we purchased were not good.
There was no microwave in the room, We had a "deluxe" room, but we did not have a view of the Arch. Internet connection had a charge, and there was not a complimentary breakfast. All these amenities have been standard fare even in 2-3 star hotels we've stayed in.
The breakfast buffet's price was almost $17 a person. We decided we'll skip breakfast and have the "healthy" lunch that was advertised throughout the hotel for $9.95 a person. So, we go to the restaurant after we check out to eat; the lunch was not offered that day.
We will not be staying at this hotel again.
This place doesn't live to it's Hyatt brand standards. Staff isn't very attentive nor friendly, rooms are old, furniture ave TV very dated, fridges noisy and the bartender doesn't even know the difference between sparkling wine and champagne. For a great experience look elsewhere
I was highly disappointed in this place for the money.
Spectacular view. The king room is fairly big (Compared to others stayed at). Very clean. Reasonably priced. Comfortable bed.
Decent Hyatt. Good location. Nice business friendly amenities, including a fedex in the lobby.
We just left the hotel very nice place to stay with A great location. Only problem we had, after leaving we realized we had left our personal pillows in the room. We went back to get them, the room hadn t been cleaned yet, but our pillows were no where to be found. Evidently someone went into the room & took stuff that wasn t theirs.
Clean, comfortable rooms. Elegant atmosphere. Ruth Chris Steakhouse onsite as well as Starbucks. Closest hotel to the Arch. Highly recommend.
A great hotel and an amazing location! We had a partial view of the Arch from our bedroom which was awesome!
Great location, friendly staff, and really nice room--walk-in closet!
Arrived at the Hyatt after a 7.5 hr roadtrip and pulled into the valet parking in front of the hotel lobby. Neither one of the attendants offered to get us a baggage cart let alone assist us with our luggage. Get to the front desk to check in & we asked for a room with a view of the Arch. Front desk clerk put us in the furthest room from the elevator all the way at the end of the hall even after I explained I had difficulty walking long distances. We got our view of the Arch allright: half of it as we ended up in a corner room. Room didnt have a microwave as listing indicated it would. Beds were overly firm. No individual toiletries. Hyatt has a 3-pk of no-name generic-no-ingredients-listed shampoo, conditioner & body wash mounted to the shower wall that are refilled when depleted. The hair dryer provided was a safety hazard as the minute I tried to use it, it fell apart exposing the wiring components. The hotel offered no breakfast and basically all the amenities you would expect to find in this hotel, no longer exist. Bathroom had peeling wallpaper and dirt in the fans. Only basic cable. No premium channels afforded to guests. Save your money and stay st the Holiday Inn. Their rooms are spacious, clean, have toiletries and hand appliances that dont fall apart
Big place, afforablr awesome staff and last but not least it is right by the Arch
Had an amazing view of the Arch from our room. The staff was pleasant, and always polite. And bonus points for having a starbucks! Would stay here again.
Booked a standard 2 double beds, but they didn't have any at check in. Upgraded me to a king size executive suite. This is the first hotel mattress that didn't hurt my back. Will definitely return!!!
Quality and cleanliness of the room wasn't what we expected for the price but since we are here for our honeymoon they have taken care of us. We were told we could check in at 3pm from an email I received then showed up at 2:55pm. We were told our room wasn't ready but that they would rush it. We ended up waiting until a couple minutes before 4 when our room was available. Only frustrating since we just walked from the train station with a local parade causing taxi and uber wait to be longer than an hour. We understood that check in is normally 4pm but received the email while traveling the train saying we could check in at 3pm and looked forward to it. Otherwise we would have just waited for the parade to be over and waited at the station for a ride.
This was the most awful place I could have ever been.
First of all they didn't supply parking for hotel guests because they sold all the parking spots for an event. They wanted to charge us $39 per day to park. We were not informed of this at the time of booking. The next closest place to park cost $20 per day. We were not told there would be a deposit. We had to pay $50 extra per day. Totaling $150 as we only stayed 3 nights. The sheets were dirty. They only had sheets and a very thin blanket on the bed. The shower still had hair all in it. No one was overly polite. All in all I give them a negative 5 stars. I will never return here even if they paid me to.
We used the Hyatt Regency by the Arch as our hotel block for our wedding. They had very competitive pricing, especially for being in the center of downtown, directly next to the arch! We thought it would be a nice treat for our out-of-town guests to stay in the heart of the city. Everyone loved the location, as it was walkable to almost any of the downtown attractions. The hotel is beautifully decorated and had friendly staff. We booked an executive suite, which the bridal party used for hair and makeup in the morning before the wedding. When we returned after the reception, we had cookies and ice cream and champagne waiting for us in our room! We also used the Brewhouse bar in the lobby for a casual social event the night before the wedding. I would recommend the Hyatt as a great location for a wedding block, or for any other occasion.
Loved the location. Easy on / off from the highway. Just steps from the Arch. Surrounded by a nice park, government buildings, great architecture in the area.
It's a pet friendly hotel but at the steep price of $100 additional pet fee. The room had 2 double beds, was very large and loved having a second sink outside of the main bathroom. Nice touch, iced cucumber flavor water in the reception area, very refreshing.
Not bad. Clean rooms, one of the few hotels you have to pay for parking, $29 for over night and per day. Other cheaper lots around though.
Nice hotel right next to the Arch. Hotel amenities were solid. Overnight valet parking was $34 though. Other than that, I'd stay again.
My siblings and I booked a stay here for our parents to celebrate their anniversary. Andrea was my main point of contact and she was phenomenal! Very pleased and grateful for how the staff went out of their way to accommodate and make my parents feel extra special!!
Nice hotel, okay restaurant. Good food, but limited selection, normal for a hotel
I'm so sorry to have to provide a poor review....however, I must tell you the truth so that you have the information you need before booking a stay.....
Pros:
--Booking the room was easy; the reservationist was very friendly and polite
--Valet does a great job greeting you
--The check in process was easy; staff is very friendly and professional
--Bathrooms are clean
--Management did deduct a few dollars off the room for our inconvenience, however $50 was not the best recovery for a room they charge $300+ for
--Staff very apologetic and probably embarrassed
Cons:
--Ok, let me first recommend that you stay away from the "family suite" option that they advertise; it's not really a family suite, but rather connecting rooms; Not sure why they don't just say that have "connecting rooms available."
--Not sure why I even booked this so called suite again, as I booked it 4 years ago and was disappointed that time as well
--The room with the king size bed has carpet that is dark and dreary and should be replaced
--I can't tell you how disgusted my family and I were with the general odor of the king room.....I hate to be graphic, but you need to understand the smell.......it smelled like unclean female genitalia had been locked up in the room for years! The odor got worse when we turned on the heat briefly just to knock the chill off; Now if a cold room can have a musty sex odor, you know what happens if it heats up......it gets worse!
--We tried to spray air fresher, but the stench only returned
--We then had to deal with dingy bed linens......all the way down to the actual mattress! One side of the bed seemed to have been soiled to the extreme; I recommend they put a new mattress and sheets in that room
--I finally called the manager to come to observe our findings and while he tried to make things better with new sheets, duvet, etc, it still need not rid the room of the odor and our concerns with sleeping in the bed
--we got hardly any sleep as we just did not feel comfortable in the room
--the employee working the gift shop was extremely rude when she was asked if they sold swimming suits; there was no good morning greeting, how can I help you, or any thank you's in that store
Again, I hate to have to provide such a graphic review, however, it's a real experience and now I've had two very unsatisfying stays at the Hyatt; Unfortunately, I will not stay at that Hyatt again unless I have no choice and I strongly recommend you find an alternative hotel to stay in.
The room was very clean and tidy and the staff here was extremely polite and helpful. The price was cheap too considering we're right on the river with a view of the water. Lots of local places that deliver too.
I have an allergy to down feathers. The hotel went above and beyond accommodating to my needs by putting me into a PURE room facing the capital building and Arch. Wonderful experience
Place was pretty dead but it was during the daytime. Great location. However guest or non guest the cost of parking is really high. Staff was friendly.. Food not so great.
Attended a new year's eve party at the hotel. Great music and food. Beer selection was minimal. Service was good and friendly. Had a good time with friends.
We only were in the lobby and the Starbucks, but everything we experienced was very nice, including all employees.
We were happily surprised with the size of our room. The beds and pillows were wonderfully comfortable. The bathroom was clean and huge with a separate area for us girls to get ready at a sink outside of the bathroom with a full length mirror. We were walying distance to the Gabe and the arch. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. We will be back!
Room looked out to the Arch. Hotel staff was very friendly and our room was very clean.
The staff was very nice but I had to pay 40$ for valet parking and they were douchebags before we left so I threw it right back at them.
Nice hotel. Perfect for any kind of conferences, room is clean. Really really close to the Arch.
Location was excellent, walking distance to the arch and Busch stadium (I was there for Paul McCartney at Busch stadium). Service was friendly and prompt, everyone was very helpful. Room was small with upscale furnishings and decor as well as granite counter and tiled shower.
a very nice . big hotel , location is a step away from the Arch.
Hated this hotel! Arrived Saturday 6/8 @ 12:45pm. Self parking full, $30 to park, but were saving space for valet parking, $40 for wedding later that evening. Had to park 3 blocks away and carry all our luggage. Hard full size beds, charge $6.44 for a bottle of cheap water in the room, $21.99 a person for nasty breakfast buffet(only option), then charged charged me $128.55 for room PLUS $178.55 for a cc hold that will take a week to credit back. WTH. This place sucked. Definitely better options out there. And if there is going to be a hold on your CC fine, but that should be told up front. Also parking fee's should be clearly shown before booking etc.
Fantastic staff and rooms. Made my business trip feel like a vacation.
It says a 4-star hotel but I've been in better 3 star hotel
Came here on a band trip, and it exceeded my expectations of the hotels our band typically stays at. It was so nice, and the staff was friendly too
Terrie the front desk attendant was amazing!! Super nice room.
I had a great stay at the Hyatt. The staff was friendly and professional and accomodated requests for early check in, extra towels, etc without batting an eye. The room was clean and cleaning staff was thorough.
My wife and I love this hotel. Close to Busch stadium and the Arch. The in house restaurant serves good food, the rooms are spacious and we have never had an issue with our room.
Stuff is not very hopeful with finding things other than that nice hotel and clean
Easy check in, clean, friendly and helpful staff. Too bad the housekeeping staff doesn't know to restock regular caffeinated coffee packets when they've been used up and not just leave you with four packets of decaf. No ding on the hotel for the loud motorcycle noise, just too bad the police can't do something about them.
The room is really nice . Initially upon getting checked in they gave us a key to a room that was already occupied. Soon as we opened the door we saw peoples things strolled across the bed. I was wondering how could an upscale hotel have made this kind of mistake during a pandemic. With that being said we do like the room. Unfortunately an unsafe mistake like that could've really turned out bad. And that is the reason for the 2 stars
This place was clean, everyone was nice. The room was a little small. It was a pleasure staying here. We were right here!
What a wonderful hotel! Nice and spacious modern rooms beautifully decorated, and in a perfect location of St Louis right by the Arch. Great staff as well. The only thing that made me take one star off was that all of the bath towels had pubic hair stuck on them!! That is disgusting! I didn't realize this until after I got out of the shower and one towel after another had pubic hairs on them. So I ended up having to dry off with a small hand towel because that was the only towel that didn't. Other than that, this is a great hotel.
Very busy place! Probably due to the Cardinals game!
Club Regency rooms are just awesome!! Can be expensive, but worth every penny!!
Excellent customer service but very limited self service parking, only way is to pay for valet parking
We booked with only 24 hours notice and got a great room for a great rate!
Good looking place and good service. Downtown st louis is just a few steps away as well
The quiet room wasn't quiet, the a.c.banged loudly and every time it came on...
Great location and amenities. Pub and the gym are awesome
We were there celebrating 5 years of marriage and we are at Ruth Chris steakhouse. The food was great and the staff we encountered made it dinner an experience.
Great location to meet for drinks and tapas. Service could be better, but I think our server may have been relatively new to the job (I hope).
Bacon was very happy with his stay and I appreciated the excellent service from the hotel staff. The Arch park and trails are literally right across the street and is a great place to exercise your dog.
Whisky in the winter always fun. They were prepared
Great visit to the Arch in St. Louis! I have been hearing about going to the top for most of my life. Really neat experience. Make sure you watch the documentary they show in the Tucker Theater prior to riding up.
Location good. We heard the doors all night. Sounded like we was by a race track. So no sleep. It was So loud from the roads. The terrace was a disappointment. It wasnt a place to sit and relax. A smoker's paradise and no cushions to sit. We was on the 9th floor. Couldn't eat at the steak house at the hotel-reservations only- valet parking $40. Others $5-$18 (no re entry). Pick floors 2-4 so there is no long elevator lines. And Don't take the stairs really dirty-left with sticky shoes. I paid $175 for my room- no thanks. It was disappointing.
Great views from the 7th floor with club access. Worth the upgrade
The room was clean and very comfortable. The surprise 27 dollar parking was the only negative, but provided a safe place for our vehicle.
Very nice hotel with great staff. Hospitable and would recommend.
Being right next to the arch and only two blocks from the parade route the hotel location was perfect to enjoy Independence Day events. Rooms are small, but very clean and somewhat stylish. Our River view (Room 1113) was excellent. I was even able to watch part of the second Boeing Airshow from the room. However, after asking for all down to be removed from the room due to severe allergies it was not. Which I did not discover until falling asleep and waking up with trouble breathing. I also had money missing from my purse -- after asking no one to enter the room but they still did. Was given a discount for the loss upon checkout but that really didn't make up for the sleepless nights, inability to breath or loss of trust. It's a shame because it seemed like a nice hotel and we had a great time at the Brewhouse Historical Sports Bar.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff is courteous and helpful. The rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable. We attended the new years party and had a great time. Awesome views of the Arch and the Mississippi River!
The staff at the Hyatt we're super proactive and reached out to me prior to my stay to see if I had any needs or request. They fulfilled my requests and made checking in super easy with mobile check in. My room was ready when I arrived and was super clean. I also appreciated that there was a card with amenities listed that they could provide if you forgot them or needed to borrow them such as a steamer, yoga mat, etc. Onsite dining had great options, I had dinner at the brewhouse and found the environment to be casual and relaxed, perfect for dining after a full day of conference sessions. There is also a Ruth Chris Steakhouse and RED Restaurant. There is a full-fledge Starbucks on site also. The conference facilities were clean, easy to navigate to, and the wifi worked great. I did notice that the women's bathroom paper towels ran out both days on the conference floors and that there were not a lot of water stations. Other than that I felt the meeting space was great. The vacinity of the hotel to landmarks such as the Gateway Arch, the Ballpark, City Garden, and Anheuser-Busch makes it the perfect place to stay and play. I found lots of great spots nearby that were walkable so not having a car was not a problem. They did have an Enterprise on site though if renting a car was of interest. I would recommend staying here to anyone I know looking to visit St. Louis.
Full disclosure. We won a Cardinal's stay and play package. It included a king room and two fantastic seats for the Cards game. But I'll try to be as thoughtful as I can be. First, the king room was one of the nicest hotel room (non suite) I've ever been in. The view was of the old court house and we could see Busch stadium as well.
It was not cramped at all. It could probably use one more seat or a love seat. Loved the bathroom with separate makeup area and sink. Would have liked a fan in the main bath area as it got steamy really fast.
Careful with self parking and look for the third level if you're having problems finding a spot.
We didn't try any of the attached restaurants or the lounge but they seemed to be lively with business travellers. Staff was awesome.
No pool was a disappointment but the exercise room looked very good.
If you're in town for business, this would be a great fit.
Daughters prom there was excellent. Beautiful place, great staff, great food.
We were on a long trip. My husband and I made reservations on the road. About 3 hours befor our arrival. So when we pulled up to the hoteland were checked in in minutes.
We will still had time to go out to dinner, before the restaurants closed. We also had a beautiful room for the night and a good night's rest before the next leg of our trip. This is our second time at a Hyatt-Regency and both experiences were great !!!
The room was extremely hot and they only brought up a box fan to cool the room. The size of the room was good. The furniture was good. The breakfast bar was very nice and the on-site restaurant made the stay worth it. I didn't like that the dogs were allowed in the lobby.
