I was only on the lobby for a few minutes, but eve...
I was only on the lobby for a few minutes, but everything was clean and presentable. There was complementary cucumber water.

The service I received and the staff were both excellent. I was quickly served and taken care of upon my arrival. The staff was extremely helpful, kind, efficient, and likeable. It was very clean, modern, and I loved the environment. The outside patio was extremely delightful and I fell in love with the wall of water out in front of the hotel. I also enjoyed how the hotel sits on main street. I was able to find other stores and coffee shops around me quickly and easily. Overall all it was a very rewarding trip!
This is always a great place to stay. Everything else around is walking distance. I definitely recommend. Everything is convenient
Very beautiful hotel woderful and helpful staff in downtown Greenville Sc
Great customer service! Had a miscommunication and they handled it with class! House keeping and front desk mangers were so friendly and understanding! Highly recommend this hotel!
The hotel was very nice. Drinks we're good but a bit pricy. The staff was fantastic.
Lobby, restrooms, conference, ballroom are very clean and nicely decorated.
Such a beautiful hotel..and it's very clean with a Starbucks and a restaurant in it.
This was the 2nd time I've been here for a conference. It's a great venue - the parking garage being connected to the hotel is my favorite part & it being located downtown makes it so convenient. The conference room was spacious & comfortable. I'm not sure if the hotel provided the video/audio equipment, but it was top notch. It was a relatively short conference, so I didn't have an opportunity to check out the public restrooms. :)
Very nice hotel right in downtown. Walk to shopping and restaurants or Falls Park.
Stayed in this hotel while participating in a conference at the convention center. The beds were the highlight of the stay. The service was poor. (The staff told different people in my party different information about the shuttle service going to the conference.)
When I checked in I was told that I HAD to provide my card to have a $30 hold put on in case of incidentals. Another teacher was told she had to put a $25 hold on hers and yet another had a $40 hold. Not sure why there was a discrepancy but that was bizarre.
When I checked out I was told that the bill was clear for my room and that the hold would take 3-5 days to come off. Then today, I got home and my $30 hold had turned into a $100 hold. I called and they said that the hold was for a $100 outstanding balance on the bill from another room in my party. I told them I had nothing to do with another room and they couldn't charge me for it. They said they got it cleared up but we will see in 3-5 days.
Also, food in general and Breakfast specifically in the hotel is NOT worth it... If you want coffee go to Coffee Underground it is a block away from the hotel but it it better product for less money. There are also TONS of food options within walking distance.
The rooms were kept very clean by Martha so no complaints there. But the bathroom is subpar. The bathroom there was the exact same as the one at the Holiday Inn I stayed at the week before. Except at the holiday Inn the bathroom doors were easier to close. The ones at the Hyatt were I guess supposed to be Asian inspired sliding doors but they were difficult to close.
My final comment is that it is a shame that a hotel this expensive still feels the need to nickle and dime you to death. A bottle of warm water is $4 but a cold one from the vending machine down the hall was only $2.
Given the choice, if I was paying for it. I would stay at the Holiday Inn again before staying here.
Claiming to be a 3.5 star hotel, I would say the overall hotel is but not the room. I took my wife here and did not have a very good experience. Room was about as big as a shoebox, dirty, and staff was rude on multiple occasions. Would give 0 stars if that was an option.
So I booked the room from a 3rd party site and didn't expect the room to be this small by any means. It was the cheapest room but figured for a 3.5 star hotel at nearly $200 a room, I'd be pleased. The bathroom was barely anything to speak of either. Also there is a "cooler" not a mini fridge in the room that never even got down to room temp. I had a small child that needed juice/milk and asked for a mini fridge three times during my weekend stay and one was never brought.
The room (posted a pic of the window sill) was all around very dusty and just in general not deep cleaned probably in quite some time. Also posted a pic of the light socket that had debris built up for quite some time. Rug was moderately stained too. Also the door frame was not plumb and left a huge crack on the latch side and we had multiple people tell us to be quiet even though we were watching TV at a very low volume with a sleeping child. Also vent filter was unspeakably dirty and supply vent was constantly condesating due to AC being at lowest temp to cool down but couldn't. I discovered the filter right before we left or I would have taken it out prior.
So the staff at the front desk was rude as soon as I arrived and asked for a bellhop cart. I was told "good luck" and that I couldn't use it if I was self parking. Quite odd since the parking deck is very inconvenient to the rooms. The second time was the maintenance staff at "closing time" of the pool. We were out there at 730, clearly before sunset and were told very abruptly "pools closed time to go". Just overall very cold and unprofessional and it also happened the second night we went a few minutes earlier.
Just overall disappointed. I did not ask for a manager due to not wanting to hear a general I'm sorry spiel. Overall the staff needs to get it together. Other than the check-in attendant, the staff and room was a train wreck. Maybe the owner(s) will see this and change his staffing culture.
Nice hotel. Right at the top of Main Street, with all its restaurants and shops. A short walk down the hill to the park on the river. Will cost you $7 per night to park in the garage, which is attached to the hotel.
Yeah, five stars all the way. Great staff, great rooms and great atmosphere. I will definitely be back.
I attended a professional event here. It was very professional and enjoyable. Next time I will try to stay here as well.
I was there for a wedding and I loved the venue, ballroom, and service.
For the prices paid, the rooms are not properly equipped, small bathrooms, no microwave, no continental breakfast. The best feature was the huge TV.
Our rooms were really nice and clean. Staff was very kind and concentrate
Very comfortable rooms...friendly, fun staff. Good value for great location!
The Hyatt is a great hotel right in the heart of downtown Greenville. For those individuals that are visiting from out of town, this is the place to stay if you really want to get a feel of what Greenville is like. Downtown Greenville in recent years has kind of become a food tourist town. There are tons and tons of restaurants in Downtown Greenville alone and you couldn't go to them all in one visit even if you wanted to.
Every hotel I've ever stayed inhas coffee available all day.....i had to ask for to go cups and coffee to days in a row.
It was one of the most beautiful hotels I have every been in and the service was fantastic and everyone was very happy and nice around and to me
Drinks at the Roost were delicious. Try the Waco kid if you want a little spice in your life.
Went to Roost. Excellent dinner. The menu has great variety and everything I have tasted has been excellent.
Great atmosphere and very central location to everything downtown. Great place to stay if you want to experience Greenville
They have the Christmas tree displays again this year. The Atrium is awesome. It's a great time looking at everything
A nice hotel, but not a great value.
The room was nice, and the hotel as a whole had excellent ambience, but it is always disappointing to me that a hotel that charges such high prices for a room still does not provide breakfast. Additionally, I could not get hot water from the shower either morning I was there (it was only "warm") and there was a bit of water damage (peeling paint, corrosion) in the shower area.
None of this would be worth comment in a cheaper hotel, but at this price point, I expected better.
Beautiful hotel and reception area. Bar is great too.
We were there for the Festival of Trees. The hotel was beautiful.
This place is amazing. The room is gorgeous. beds comfortable. Love Love love it
Great room. The restaurant Roost has amazing breakfast. And having a Starbucks in the hotel never hurts!!
excellent place especially if one gets an upgraded room. super friendly staff, nice bar and a Starbucks right in the Hotel.
beautiful hotel located in downtown Greenville which had lots of nice restaurants And shops. Everything closes early, very sleepy town but the hotel food is good.
The stop at Greenville was the last minute decision, chose by the ranking and recommendations online. Everything is ok except the WiFi connection throughout the stay. Fourth floor in the middle of the building has very poor connection, repeating disruptions, no internet connection.
The room was very nice & clean. Poor bathtub condition though as for the drain was clogged & water didnt go down that well.
I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Greenville the night before my wedding and my wedding night with my husband. First, the hotel did absolutely nothing for our special night together as bride and groom, even though we informed them ahead of time. Second, the walls were very thin and all we could hear was the TV in the room next to us all night long. The staff was nice, buy ever after arriving in our wedding clothing, nothing was really done or said about our wedding day. Definitely disappointing abd a let down.
Air issues....needed heat blowing cold..reported but decided no air was better than cold air. 3 in room ...requested extra towels...Friday nine peovided....Sat requested again...provided...then room service left towels for two again...2 wash clothes is never enough even for 2. Front desk clerks were inconsistent. At conventionl many guests not given the $7.50 parking pass. Heard that many had to go back and request it. Another guest had valet parking but couldn't get help with luggage. The woman was short of breath and no offer of help from valet workers. Cost was charged though. Repeatedly requesting service wasn't what I expected from a Hyatt hotel.
Upgraded rooms were impressive. New flooring, mini fridge, 65 inch flatscreen tv.
This is probably the first hotel review Ive ever done before actually sleeping here. This place is terrible already. Check in is at 3 PM. Its now 5 PM and still they dont have our room. They offered my wife and I a drnik voucher for our inconvienence which was only valid for the terrible wine. Getting ready to leave this mess.
Everything got better once we finally left.
The bed was not very comfortable and the pillows really lacked support. I would have liked more lighting in the room and bathroom. The staff was great, really enjoyed the lobby area. The proximity to main street is also a huge plus.
Hyatt Regency Greenville
OMG! Where do I start with this "four" starts hotel???
OK, the walls are so thin one can hear the neighbors in the next room doing ALL kind of things!
Now, here comes the first filthy issue about this "fancy" hotel. I'm about to get in bed and found out some of the pillows covers are dirty and have hairs on them, I then looked on the sheets and they looked dirty as well, like they weren't changed at all by the maid. I put the dirty pillows aside and decide I'll leave a note for the maids the next day to give us real clean ones. I really didn't want to make a big deal out of it-trying to be nice here.
Got up the next day and start studying the room better. Furniture looks so cheap and outdated for a $300/night hotel, carpet looks like it hasn't been vacuumed in a month probably - my gut feeling wasn't wrong, found a couple of huge clipped nails on it and the bathroom's floor as well; this says everything to me about the housekeeping service in this place.
Going back to the bedroom, found out the bed's covers are overused, have holes and are starting to tear off. I guess $300/night it's not enough to get new covers every once in a while. Maybe they have a "recycled" program going on???
On our second night we had to call the front desk to complain about loud music playing somewhere in the hotel. The lady tells my boyfriend there's a birthday party going on in the ballroom on the second floor but, they'll call someone to lower the volume; an hour later our walls are still banging with the vibration made by the music. Who in the world will put a balloon on a second floor below another six floors without making it soundproof???
Third night, woken up again at the wee hour by people walking and talking on the aisle as if they were at the mall! I think I've had enough of this hotel already and we still have two more nights here, I'm praying I'll be able to sleep one night straight through before leaving!
Oh, I almost forget! The slamming of doors in this place it's ridiculous, either by guests or the cleaning crew, it's like a *race to see who'll win the prize of the hardest/loudest door slammed!
*Beware, every guest is automatically registered to the race as soon as you check-in!
NOOOO! I wouldn't recommend this hotel if you'd like to get some rest and relaxation, this is more like a convention center with rooms to sleep in. I'm sure there are other hotels in downtown a lot cheaper and with better services and accommodations than the Hyatt Regency Greenville. We know better now to NEVER stay in this hotel EVER again!
Stay away from this place people, go spend you hard earn money somewhere else with a much better customer service quality AND quieter!!!
A very exquisite place I'd say.. because it is very nice with a huge round bar table and many activities to do. Also has a restraunt right next to it.
Really nice place. I love the fountains that are in the middle. People where really nice and friendly. Definitely will try and go again
All of the food was perfectly prepared with plenty of wait staff and they handled the large crowd pleasantly.
Note: Don't use the Hyatt app for check-in. It doesn't work, they never notify you when your room is ready. Pros: lobby, restaurants, location, parking, wifi, comfy bed, nice bathroom, iron w/board, tv w/HDMI input for Roku or Apple TV. Cons: bizarre room layout, not enough lights, tv isn't facing the bed, no microwave, no refrigerator, musty smell, dated HVAC controls, no dresser, no couch.
Location is great, Starbucks located inside is awesome!
Just walked through the lobby on the way to somewhere else
Someone opened my door while I was in the bathroom.
Nice location close to the center of downtown, lobby is great too with a nice bar.
The hotel was beautiful and so was the venue for the conference. Would definitely return. The location is ideal for a conference as well with so much around it.
Great location in a very walkable downtown. Good breakfast in the restaurant. Friendly service at the front desk.
Nice hotel. Good but smallish conference facilities. Great location at one end of Main Street. Nice staff. Recommended.
While the location and staff are great, the hotel lacks the room quality and cleanliness that I would expect for the price and advertisement. All of the furniture in out room was rough looking and there were some hair in the shower that was there on arrival. Some friends we stayed with had to wait over an hour past the check-in time for their room to be ready.
That being said overall we did enjoy our stay. It was very easy to get to bars and restaurants. The bar/restaurant inside the hotel had great food and hosted a lovely rehearsal dinner, as well.
Great hotel. rooms are a bit strange layout and dont stay in rooms above the loading doc area. Its loud and busy all night. No sleep.
